A Conjecture on FEAR

FEAR, the video game which is a series of first-person shooter survival horror video games developed by Monolith Productions. The game currently has three main games, F.E.A.R., F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin and F.E.A.R. 3. The series is known for its horror game play and its main antagonist, Alma Wade. What if I told you that there were some theories behind it? Some of these could be true, some are speculations. See for yourself!

FEAR is similar to Stephen King's Carrie: There seems to be a commonality with these two. is an American epistolary novel and author Stephen King's first published novel, released on April 5, 1974, with an approximate first print-run of 30,000 copies. Set primarily in the then-future year of 1979, it revolves around the eponymous Carrietta N. "Carrie" White, a misfit and bullied high school girl who uses her newly discovered telekinetic powers to exact revenge on those who torment her, while in the process causing one of the worst local disasters in American history. Both Carrie and Alma are alike: They both have abusive parents that torture them, they both were just innocent, and they both have psychic powers as they take their revenge on the world!

Quiet is Alma's Daughter and was raised by Point Man: Remember in the good ending? Where Paxton dies, the baby is born, Alma perishes, and Point Man walks off with the child? It makes you wonder whatever became of the child. Well, what if Quiet was Alma's daughter?Yes, Quiet from Metal Gear Solid 5. Speculated; Point Man probably raised her and gave her half of his blood to help her become a soldier towards those that stand in her way. Who knows! It would be that the two share a commonality sort of, they both are fast and they are both silent but there is also a difference between these two. Quiet has skin to 'breathe' and cannot talk in English due to the parasites in her vocal chords. And Point Man dressed in soldier clothes and is a silent protagonist. But these two have a trouble past. Who knows where Quiet came from or what happened to the infant Point Man carried of and if it was a boy or girl!

Alma's Sisters are Samara, Sadako, Alessa and Lucy: What do these girls have in common with Alma? Quite a lot, actually. Sadako Yamamura is the central character and antagonist of Koji Suzuki's Ring Trilogy novels, along with the numerous film and television adaptations of the books. Samara Morgan is the main antagonist of The Ring and The Ring 2. Alessa Gillespie is the central character of Silent Hill, Silent Hill 3, and Silent Hill: Origins, and by far the character with the most importance in the series. And Lucy is the central protagonist of the series. Lucy hates humans mainly because of how she was alienated by her human peers as a child and takes her revenge on humanity. Alma shares these common interests with these girls and they could be her sisters possibly because they all share the torture and vengeance the world has against them.

Alma's Child, Teen, and Woman Visions: In the video game, you can see visions of Alma as a child and as an adult but in FEAR 3, you see her as a teenanger. Why is that? These three images represent Hecate Sisters. You see, her three forms conform to the triplicate imagery - her child form (the maiden), her real emaciated form (the crone) and her attractive and healthy form (the seductress that becomes the mother, complete with heavily pregnant belly). She winds up switching between them as her mood and whims dictate. Sounds strange doesn't it? But it makes sense!

Alma is The Phoenix: Not the phoenix in mythology. But the actually Phoenix from X Men. If you don't remember; Phoenix was the evil alias of Jean Grey from the X Men, she almost brought havoc to the world's end! Judging by her power; Alma is horrifically powerful, can turn people Ax-Crazy and make them worship her as a god, as the cultists can dictate in F 3 AR. She can spawn various other abominations too through the Almaverse. Jean may not have gone through the same thing as Alma but still, her Phoenix was a threat to all humanity in the X Men universe. And Alma's wrath against the world is just as bad enough, isn't it?

Alma's name came from one of the characters in the book, Ghost Story: Ghost Story is a horror novel written by Peter Straub. It was published on January 1, 1979 by Coward, McCann and Geoghegan. The story takes place in the fictional town of Milburn, New York, and is told from the alternating points of view of five men in their old age. The protagonists, lifelong friends who call themselves the "Chowder Society," gather periodically to reminisce and share ghost stories. When one of them dies suddenly, the surviving men find themselves haunted by dreams in which they also die. As the story unfolds, their past is revealed to hold a murder from their youth, and they begin to fear that the young woman they killed has returned to take revenge upon them. One of the characters is Alma so the creators of FEAR named the vengeful villainess Alma after the character of a girl.

Christian Bale and Point Man: In the 2013 movie called Out of the Furnance; The film is about a Pennsylvania steel mill worker Russell Baze (Bale) and his Iraq war veteran brother Rodney (Affleck), who cannot adjust to civilian life. While Rodney makes some money doing bareknuckle fights for bar owner and small-time criminal John Petty (Dafoe), who runs illegal gambling operations, Rodney becomes so indebted due to his own gambling losses that he begs Petty to let him do a big money fight. After Petty reluctantly arranges for Rodney to do a fight for a ruthless criminal gang in the backwoods, Rodney disappears, and his brother tries to find out what has happened to him. The hair and the facial hair on him made you think Bale looks a lot like Point Man from FEAR, even the character with the gun and taking on this gang makes you think that Christian Bale could be a perfect choice if they had a FEAR movie possibly. And Point Man's face was revealed. well....Hey, it's a dream come true don't you think?

Dave Matthew and Paxton: Dave Matthews  is a South African-born American singer-songwriter, musician and actor, best known as the lead vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist for the Dave Matthews Band. Matthews was born in Johannesburg and moved to Westchester County, New York at the age of 2. Matthews mainly plays acoustic guitar, which he started playing at age 9. Paxton Fettel is the main antagonist of F.E.A.R.: First Encounter Assault Recon and plays a key role in both the Monolith and Vivendi Timelines, as well as appearing in F.E.A.R. 2: Reborn. He returns in F.E.A.R. 3, this time as a protagonist and as a playable character working alongside the Point Man. What do these two have in common? They both look alike, funny enough. But both have different personas and one is fictional while the other is non fictional and is famous. Boy, what a perfect casting choice for that FEAR movie...If they have a FEAR movie.....
