Shatter Me: Break from the Cage
The sound of a music box winding box, the song tingling on and playing. Then, the ballerina begin to twirl around and around. The mechanic heart became tired, it beats a little more until the song disappears. The tingling song ends. Just then, the ballerina came to life; she came off the podium she was twirling on as she walks over to peer from her prison as she can see the outside that there is something out there. She saw a butterfly fluttered by but the ballerina watches with fear as the butterfly was a bat instead as this scares her. Despite being scared; the porcelain ballerina longs to go outside, to break out of her prison and erase so she can move on with her life. But she fears dangers, in her mind is she tries to punch the glass, it cracks and it breaks but the ballerina falls along with her prison. The ballerina pushed that out of her head as she focused but then looks at her hands, arms, and around her body that she was cracking. The ballerina then shatters from the prison as she flies away. She never felt so much alive, she was free and this prison, this cage of her music box she was in. The ballerina twirled in her element, nobody to wind her up and spin when the music box plays. No longer she had to spin around on that podium. Never again. At all.

He was asleep again. 10 year old Heyoka Brenin dreamt for so long, even around morning. That's when he woke up with a start. He saw someone peering down at him, it was his 9 year old brother Lleu. "Lleu, what are you doing peering at me like that?" Heyoka asked in a groggy tone. "You were supposed to be ready, I was waiting for you to wake up. We were supposed to go to the Marquises' house, remember? It's Kali's birthday." Lleu explained. Heyoka groaned in disbelief, he couldn't believe it. He'd forgotten about that, it was Kali's tenth birthday today! He couldn't believe he forgotten about it. "Sorry, tell Mom and Dad to wait for me. I'll be right down." said Heyoka. Lleu nodded as he headed out. A few seconds later, Heyoka was dressed as he was waling with his family to the Marquises' house. It wasn't that far, it was just a short walking distance. Heyoka and his family live in a rural, small, relatively isolated sheep farming town of Middlgard. It was a nice to place to live but there was only one problem; the sun would set and everyone was quick to get back home. Ferocious monsters that feed on human blood and flesh, Sigbins they were called. Children and teenagers were forbidden to go out alone. Even adults weren't allowed to go out alone either. If anyone disobeyed, they will be killed by the Sigbins. And this is true, there's a lot crimes involving with the Sigbins. Heyoka and Lleu obeyed to these rules however Heyoka wasn't sure if they were real or not. He wanted to know if they were real or not and that is why he dreams of joining the Morgenstern Order. Lleu begged his brother not to risk it, Heyoka made up his mind. Lleu is not the only one who likes it; their mother Beatrix disapproves it. And Heyoka's father, Dante? He is neutral; he agrees with his wife and also his oldest son.
While at the Marquises' place; Heyoka and Lleu had a birthday present they wanted to present. They got out a table and draw something on the table before using the elements of solid, liquid, gas, and plasma. They created a music box but Kali screamed because it looked inhuman from the looks of it. Kali begin to cry while the Brenin brothers comfort her. Later, Heyoka and Lleu were outside as they waited to be punished. "Kali, honey, they weren't trying to scare you. They were trying to do something special on your birthday." Kali's parents said. "I'm sorry for this." said Beatrice with chagrin, "This was a mistake. We'll give them a talking to about this." Dante was so intrigued by what he was seeing, "A work of art." He mumbled. Beatrice looked at her husband, "Dante?" She asked. "Bea, punishing our boys for a piece of beautiful craftsmanship? Nonsense! It's amazing! Look at this work." said Dante. Kali's parents had to agree, "But I didn't know you teach them." said the father. Dante shake his head, "I didn't. I think they might have went into my study." He admitted. On the way home; Beatrice and Lleu laughed as Dante was reading the book. Dante then asked his sons how did they know how to learn elemental alchemy. Heyoka and Lleu explain they learned it from the books in Dante's study, whenever he's away somewhere. Heyoka looked up nervously, "Are you mad at us?" He asked. "Not at all." said Dante, "I'm proud of you." "I am as well." agreed Beatrice. "I think we should brag to everyone we know." And so, Dante let his sons in his study. Heyoka and Lleu took the opportunity to study from the books, Kali started to hang out with them. When the trio hangs out, Lleu sometimes gets in trouble with the bullies and Heyoka & Kali come to his rescue. Lleu appreciates at them however he hates being rescued all the time.
Heyoka sometimes like to scare Lleu about the Sigbins by leaning over and whispering, "Look Lleu, there's one!" and Lleu would jump and run. And Heyoka would laugh. Finally Kali turned on him. "If you want to know so badly," she said, "go into the city tonight to see those Sigbins." "I'll do it," said Heyoka. "I walk out every day. Why would it be different at night? Tomorrow night I'll take my flashlight and walk out to town. If I get scared, I'll never make fun of Lleu again." The next night Kali went to the Brenin house to see him come out. It was the darkest night. When she arrived, the boys' father, who was the only one at home, was pleading with his sons not to go. "We're gonna be OK, Dad" he said. "There's nothing to be afraid of." He took his flashlight and headed towards town. While traveling there, Kali and Lleu wondered if Heyoka was right. Maybe they were afraid of things that they never seen. Kali and Lleu followed him and see for themselves, but they stayed far behind in case he ran into trouble. The trio were standing in a circle of light, looking left and right. All of a sudden his flashlight burnt out. The three friends stood motionless in the darkness, waiting for something to happen. Then, there was some creature with claw-like hands and a body that walked on all fours. Its limbs and posture make it seem deformed or mangled. There was black tenctacle-like appendages out of his back and featureless face. Heyoka wanted to scream for help or for his friends to run either way, but he was so scared that he could not make a noise. Heyoka tried to flee, but the creature caught him.
It attacked Heyoka and then there was a struggle between the creature, Heyoka tried to get the monster off him however the beast seized his arm and bit him in his wrist. Heyoka screamed, then he fainted from blood loss. Lleu and Kali were so scared as they couldn't believe what they just witnessed, they were relieved however the creature was about to attack them when someone from behind struggles with the monster, it looked to be a young man with black hollow eyes and he looked enraged at the monster. He fought it as he chased it but then, the monster used his appendages to kill this warrior. With the man's final breath, he begs Lleu and Kali to live. With that, he was killed by the creature. Lleu and Kali were in hysterics, this strange man had saved them and they didn't know what to do. They were shaken with fear. In the meantime; Dante and Beatrice were asleep from exhaustion. It was nighttime around one o'clock in the morning when they heard a knock on the door! Dante moaned as he got up, muttering: "What in heaven's name? Who could it be at this hour?" His feet padded against the floor. When he opened the door, he was so shocked that he gasped. Beatrice gasps when she saw a boy bleeding. "Heaven's to Betsy!" She cried. Kali was carrying Heyoka who was alive but unconscious. She was crying from the looks of it. "Please...Help us, He's dying of blood loss!" Kali weeped. Dante recognized Kali underneath all that mess of wet long hair. "Kali? Is that you?" He asked. Heyoka was unconscious however he needed an operation or he'll die. Dante learned of the warrior that was killed by one of the monsters, the Sigbins.
Dante scavenged the body and decides to save his son by implanting the dead warrior man's flesh and blood into his body through an incision made from the cut of where the person had been bitten. The transformation is very agonizing and the side effects include loss of sanity. There is also some adrenaline coursing throughout the body. These were called Kresnik, they were the key into saving the lives of all humanity and there might be some in the squad of Morgenstern--At least, a few. Dante called General Nergal Temperance and Commander Minos Ruiter to help him. That's when Kali and Lleu begged Dante to let them join Heyoka in this transformation. Dante and Beatrice were horrified but Kali cuts herself with a knife as well as a hesitant Lleu. So, Dante agrees with this; much horror to Beatrice. During this process for the three friends; the Sigbins attacked the Brenin household. The operation was successful. Commander Ruiter and General Temperance fend them off. Heyoka, Lleu, and Kali woke up as they saw the Sigbins, who found them as they were about to kill them when Beatrice stepped in and let herself take for the kill. "Mom! No!" cried Heyoka. "Heyoka, get out of here now!" exclaimed Beatrice. "No, I'm not leaving you!" Heyoka screamed. Before his mother could say anything else, she gets stabbed in the chest and Kali pulled them along as Heyoka and Lleu cried in fear, "Mooooommmmmm!!!!!!" Tears were cascading down their faces. The two of them lost consciousness, however they woke up in the custody of Kali's aunt. They were recovering as the townspeople are shocked to find out what happened.
There was a funeral held for Beatrice Brenin however Dante didn't come. Dante Brenin had gone missing since the tragedy and some were whispering, "How could Dante not come to his wife's funeral? That is very inhuman of him!" and "His sons are having it worse, I thought Dante cared about his wife!" Losing his mother to a Sigbin was the most unsettling mental wound, and ever since that day; Heyoka vowed to wipe out as many Sigbins as possible. And by doing so; Heyoka was joining Morgenstern to avenge his mother's death. The military squad, Morgenstern, was located in Hy-Brasil. Kali and Lleu learn about Heyoka's intentions so they talk to him: "Heyoka, are you sure about this?" Kali asked. "I'm dead serious, I'm going to see if I can be part of this squad." Heyoka said enthusiastically. "I don't know about this--" Lleu starts to warn, "I know what I'm doing!" Heyoka declared. "Then, I'm coming along." Lleu replied. "No. Way." Mordred said. "I am!" Lleu insisted. "I'm sick of being bullied all the time! It's high time I stand up and fight--Even if I'm pushed to the limit." "Me too." said Kali. Heyoka glared at her, "Nobody is following me anywhere! This is my burden to bare, not you!" "So?" Kali said, "We're not coming with you by being concern for you, we got our own struggles to bare. You guys don't know this by my parents are killed, they were burnt. Surprise attacked by someone with fire. I'm going to find out who would do such a thing."
Heyoka felt bad, he remembered that he and Lleu stopped by once only to find a weeping Kali telling them that her parents are dead. Heyoka looks at her and then he said, "OK. It's settled then, all for one--One for all." Kali and Lleu nodded at this. They were going to find their liberation and find a way to shatter themselves from the lives they live in. But it looked like Heyoka's life was also going to change for good.
5 years later....
After they were on the run from Sigbins ambushing them; Heyoka, Lleu and Kali sat up as they looked around. Just then, the trio found themselves faced to face with a commander officer and a stoic face man who didn't smile. Atlas smiled a little weakly, "Am I dead?" He asked. The commander chuckled a little, "Not really." He said. He introduces himself as Commander Minos Ruiter, the stoic man next to him was Captain Ramses Banrion. And there was another one name Nancy Zaldula . Atlas, Wayland, and Ishtar were helped up as they were welcomed by Minos and Nancy but Ramses wasn't too sure about this. Letting a bunch of three complete strangers in this army, not his usual cup of tea. Heyoka, Kali, and Lleu were amazed, thrilled to see that they were at Morgenstern Order. The three of them are given a tour by Nancy as Minos and Ramses had other matters to take care of. Nancy showed them the bunks of their cabin, they were shown the training area & the mess hall. Atlas looked around however he accidentally bumps into someone. "Hey! Watch it!" snapped the person, he looked leaned with muscles and tall but he was quite glaring at Atlas, which annoys him. Once that guy was gone; Heyoka asked, "Who's that jerk off?" Nancy looked and replied back, "Ah, that is Tyr Laufer. He tends to speak his mind, which gets him in trouble. Don't mind him." And they moved on but Heyoka looked back, he rolled his eyes and sighed. He was already making enemies, just a great way to start his first day here. Nice. Heyoka and his friends are introduced to nicer people: Thoth Ettur, Chandra Ushtari, Mary Bonde, Janus Pion, Etain Gwerinwr, Varuna Bauer and Beira Pesec.
The next day; Heyoka, Lleu, and Kali were at the training grounds of the military in Hy-Brasil where they learn how to spar with one another. They learned how to attack and archery. How to use weapons in combat. Drill exercises were difficulties for Heyoka, who would fall behind from the others as Tyr begins to taunt him, "Try working harder, newbie. Not so easy isn't it?" He really looked arrogant, white hot anger filled Heyoka's chest as he used that to get stronger. He kept pushing. And pushing. Soon, Heyoka improved better in the drill exercises while Tyr struggle. Heyoka laughed at the irony, "What's the matter Laufer? Aren't you working hard enough?" He called. Thoth, Chandra, and Janus laughed along him; Tyr stopped to catch his breath, but when he looked up, he saw that Varuna was laughing with Heyoka however noticed Varuna glaring at him and stopped while turning away embarrassed. He saw Heyoka standing with Lleu, Kali, Janus, Thoth, and Chandra. When Heyoka saw Tyr panting; he crossed his arms as he smirked smugly. Tyr made a tsked sound, "Sore loser." He muttered. Later, Tyr was complaining about Heyoka while hanging out with Varuna. "Unbelievable! Heyoka has gotten a lot more powerful!" He was saying. Varuna had to point out the obvious, "Maybe you shouldn't been so arrogant. You always do that to newcomers actually." He said. "Yeah, yeah. Shut up." grumbled Tyr. Varuna chuckled, "But seriously Tyr, you gotta stop with this snarky attitude to the ones who are new here. You berated him with words and that helped him get better." replied Varuna with solemn in his voice. Tyr didn't interject, he knew that his friend was right. "I'll try to be nice but I can't stand Heyoka!" He said.
Beira Pesec was a beautiful lady but she's not like most girls. She likes things that normal boys do and she differs herself from all of the rest, however she has different ideals and is afraid to speak out. One day when she was around 18 years old; Beira was sighing on her porch as she thought about the letter she found, which explains of a war going on as her father is being summoned to go there and fight to save a princess. Beira begin to take matters into her own hands. She goes to the market and she buys a steed. Then, she buys a saddle. Beira buys a whip as well as a bridle. At dawn, Beira gallops ten thousand miles; she crosses lofty hills and goes out of her way to slaughter all the enemies in order to be honored in the war against them. Although many leaders die in these battles but Beira goes to rescue the princess name Eva Zayin. Upon seeing the lady, Beira has some sort of romantic feeling for her. Beira took Eva and they went back to the palace where she belongs. Her father was so happy that he would like Beira, known as Bareth, to be rewarded with the honor of marrying his daughter, Eva. Despite this, Beira refused as she offers to go home for she had been away longer than she already has. Beira goes out to meet her comrades, who are perplexed and amazed by the fact is Beira is not a boy but a girl. Eva is amazed with this, she seems interested and she befriends Beira. During their time alone; Beira confessed her feelings for her and Eva is shocked, not wanting to hurt her for she feels guilty; she makes a promise to marry her. Beira was overjoyed and kissed her. Mary saw this as she was shocked, she tells the only person she could trust which was Etain about this and the two of them don't seem troubled. They are concern for their comrade, however they genuinely just accept it with frightening ease and are curious of Beira's orientation.
Meanwhile; 17 year old Eris Samson screams and wakes up to the sunrise, relieved that it was all a dream. And she was in the the bedlam house. Poor Eris. She's lost her grip on sanity. She's stark raving mad. This was no hospital paradise, no sleek modern psychiatric facility with freshly-washed sheets. No nice nurses or friendly doctors. There was nothing she could do. Long ago; Twelve year old Eris Samson lived a happy life with her 12 sisters: Nimue, Kate, Anne, Sigvarda, Baldevina, Hilda, Thora, Braga, Vála, Tyra, Dorani, and Armida. But that all changed when they decided to go see the new movie flick, Adrina L. Rush. During the middle of the best part of the movie, A man entered with a gun as he begins shooting everyone, however he hears the cops coming and flee. Only 57 people were injured while 12 are dead, among the dead is Eris's twelve, beautiful, kind, supporting, and loving sisters. Eris was traumatized as she vowed to find the person that did this to her sisters, they will pay dearly. But she discovers something from her father, Amphitryon, who claims that he is not her biological father. He explains that she is the daughter of an abusive man Cronos Samson and her mother, Demeter Victor, is still alive. The reason why Amphitryon is telling her this is because he had heard that he was going to be killed by Jehoram Redd as he claims he has not much longer to live. Eris begins to panic, she grabs him and said, "NOOOO, NOT YOU! I'M NOT LOSING YOU LIKE I LOST MY SISTERS--I'M NOT LOSING YOU!!!!" But there was a sinister laugh.
There he was, Jehoram Redd. He looked like hell. He had the most horrifying smile anyone has ever seen. His grin was wide and demonic, it literally stretched to the sides of his face. Eris was so shocked that she couldn't believe what she was seeing. Amphitryon gripped her shoulders tightly, "Listen to me, Eris!" He commanded. Eris was shaken with fear by the sight of this guy, "Daddy, I--I--I'm scared." She said with fear in her voice. Amphitryon pushed her away and cried out, "Eris! RUN! GO AS FAST AS YOU CAN! GO!!!!" Eris ran but she stopped to turn around and saw Amphitryon's body, his entrails were gouged out. Amphitryon has been stabbed and he fell down. Jehoram looked at Eris, he grinned widely as the shocked Eris ran away safely from him. Once she got to a safe haven, Eris begin to cry. "Why....Why is this happening?" And cried hysterically while shouting, "WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME?!" Eris couldn't take it anymore with the shock therapy, the bloodletting from leeches, and other horrible experiments. She fights back, and the nurses tried to restrained her however something inside Eris was burst out from her. Once the bottle of her superpowers is opened, it can't be sealed again. Later; Eris is sitting on the ground, she slowly begins to stand up and makes her way through the deserted hallway. Eris then sees a nurse in a room who's stricken with fear and closes the door, realizing that she is the cause of the damage. As Eris makes her way outside the school building, a police car arrives and the teacher rushes outside to tell the policeman about Eris, who then quickly rides a bicycle home to pack her things.
While at home, she sees a news report about the incident, causing her to quickly gather his things to flee. Several policemen then appear outside the front door of Eris's house, while she tries to escape through the back door. Eris realizes that the door is locked so she uses her powers to grab the keys from the kitchen bench. The policemen then enter the house to find that Eris is gone. Eris running away from a team who has been hunting her in the woods. Eris is caught by one of the men who pushes her to the ground. Eris uses her supernatural powers once again to push the men away in a burst of power. As she was hiding out; she begins to write in a diary she kept with her when her foster father was killed and this entry was heartrending: "A music box of a porcelain ballerina spins around, so my mindset stems from within. Day after day I've become monotonous, creating a stable but spiritually draining life. I yearn to escape from the container. I'm sick of rotating around day after day and want my soul to fly free—even if that involves becoming broken. I'm afraid of changing my ways, so I'm frozen, unable to do anything. Please let me go free; I don't this to be shattered, but erased, so I can forget about it as I reconnect with the world. On one hand, I desire freedom. On the other, I want to stay safe. I might be unhappy inside the glass, but at least I know I’ll be okay. If I escapes, I might die outside. Birds are free, but open to the sky’s dangers." At a discount store; Eris had heard about Lindsey Stirling's new album, Shatter Me, and decides to listen to it. When she heard the song "Shatter Me"; she immediately loved it. Eris begin to have tears in her eyes because she could relate to the song. It wasn't sad, it was but it was a very intense song. She bought the CD and left the store.
Just then, Eris begins to have visions of soldiers, who begin to shoot the crowd, who screamed as others ran for their lives. Eris saw this in horror as she remembers the night of the prom massacre. Traumatizing memories of her friends who were shot and killed. Just then; the soldiers attacked, puncturing Eris's body abdomen. Eris felt anger, the wounds on her body begin to vanish from her skin. Everyone is shocked to see this. Eris had tears in her eyes; thinking about her dead friends and their dreams which were gone forever. Now she was pissed, the creatures looked scared so they try to leave but Eris held them against their will and then killed them one by one with her telekinetic powers. Once it was over, Eris finally calmed down and looked around the deceased of others, she saw that there was a child's body lying there motionlessly. She had tears in her eyes and she looked at the citizens who were watching her lose control. "Does anybody have anything to make a cremation? I want to make a proper funeral for the lives that are lost." said Eris. The others looked at each other, not sure what to do. She turned to them and said, "Listen, I know that was scary for all of you to see but I saved all of you from those beasts and I had a heart for the people that were killed." A bartender came forth with a bottle of liquor. A guy who was a smoker had a lighter. And someone who had fireproof materials & a proper funeral was made for them. While doing this cremation; Eris thought to herself, "What kind of person would sent so much monstrosity to kill innocent people? Whoever it was, they were gonna pay with their lives for this." Once that was over; Eris encountered people about Middlgard, of how a boy was from there and the monsters of Sigbin as well as Morgenstern. Curious, she asked where is Morgenstern and the people tell her that they are in Hy-Brasil but is warned of danger however Eris wonders, "How dangerous could it be?"
Hy-Brasil was hell, it had always been to hell. "What is this place? Oh god...!" gasped Eris. She couldn't believe this was Brasil, it was a nightmare. Destruction, like the apocalypse. What kind of world was this? Eris and the others were shocked to see a monster confronting her. Then Eris could hear its thoughts. "You--you want to eat me? No, I won’t let you!" said Eris to the monster. She flexed her hand and uses her telekinesis to kill this monster. The monster convulsed, it twisted, and then finally; it exploded! There was a mass of beige substances splattered all over her! Eris was stunt for a while before a grin broke over her face. She giggled to herself, "I did it! Ew....I really did it! I can't believe it! I just nobody saw--" She turns around as her smile faded. "--That."What she saw was a 15 year old boy. Chocolate brown hair. Red eyes. Light skin. Buttoned shirt, a cap on his head, it looks like. He was a teenage soldier, who looked horrified at Eris. He saw it, he saw her kill that beast. "Oh crap." Eris thought. "Busted! How do I get myself out of this?" She slowly smiled kindly, "Hello there---" she greeted but the boy lunged at her, "AAAAHHHH!" He cried. The boy begin to claw at her like a wild man. Trying to punch her but Eris restrained the boy. "Hey! Hey!" She protested, the boy did not yield. "Stop! Cease! Take it easy! Will you stop?! I am not going to hurt you!" Eris held the boy's fists away from her. "Who are you?!" The boy demanded. "My name is Eris. I swear, I will not hurt you. Here, I am not going to hurt--" She reaches over to touch his face but the boy recoiled away. "Get away, no! Don't you dare--Don't--" But he was helpless, Eris was calm as she stroke her hand on his face. At once, Eris could read his mind, know his name. But not completely of a lot.
"Did you seriously kill that Sigbin?" asked the boy, softly. Eris did a double take. "That's a Sigbin?" She asked in disbelief. The boy looked at her with amazement, "You never seen one before?" he asked. "I heard of them..but in all honesty, I didn't know that was an actual Sigbin!" Eris pointed out. Just then, a voice called out. "Heyoka! Who are you talking to?" Another boy in the same uniform as the other guy's was standing there. He looked young, quite a fetching fellow. "Nobody!" Heyoka called, he turned back to Eris fiercely. "Listen, you gotta get out of here now!" He demanded. "Why? I can help!" Eris persisted. "No, you--" Heyoka started to say but the boy calls back: "Heyoka, who is that?" "No one!" Heyoka snapped. He turned to Eris with pleading eyes. "Please, get out now!" He begged. "I can help. I can hear that your thoughts are disoriented so--" Eris insisted, but Heyoka stopped her out of shock. "What?" He gasped. "You--you--can read minds? You can hear my thoughts inside of your own head?" "Of course I can." Eris said, in a matter of fact tone. Jack was shaken out of fear. The golden haired boy appeared, "Heyoka? Who is this?" He asked. Eris smiled and held out her hand, "Eris Samson. It's a pleasure to meet you." she said. The boy was stunt, he shook her hand though. "I'm Lleu." He said. A girl with shoulder length hair appeared, wearing the same uniform as Heyoka and Lleu, it was Kali Marquise. "Boys, who is this girl?" She asked in a voice so soft but full of curiosity. "Wow, this your girlfriend?" Eris asked. Heyoka glared at her, "She's not my girlfriend!" He declared. "Who are you? A witch?" Kali asked. "I am no witch, I am an ally and I came to help." Eris said. "No, she's--" Heyoka started to say, but the girl stopped him. "Hold up, Heyoka. This girl may able to help." She said, coming to Eris's rescue.
"Sh'yeah, I killed a Sigbin." Eris admitted. Lleu and Kali were shocked. "How?!" They asked. "I have an ability where I can move obstacles or other things with my mental conscious." Eris explained. Lleu and Kali looked at each other, they turned to Heyoka. "You know about this?" Lleu asked. "Yeah, but she doesn't know what the military does here." Heyoka said. "Let her help, Heyoka. She can be of help to us." Kali said. Heyoka was irked but he agreed. Eris smiled with delight, "Thank you." She said. The girl turned to her, she stretched out her hand. Although her stern face remained unchanged; she sounded nicer. "I'm Kali Marquise." "I'm Eris Samson--" Eris said but other Sigbins attacked and Eris, Heyoka, Kali, and Lleu prepared for battle. They ran from them while battling. “Who are you? Why the hell did you come here?” screeched Heyoka. "Be careful, Heyoka Brenin. Don't do anything reckless!" Eris called out. "How did you know my name?" Heyoka asked with shock. Busted! Eris turned away, "Later!" She shouted. The Sigbins were chasing after them. Eris thought craftily as she reached over to Heyoka, carried him into her arms and flied! Heyoka was amazed by this, "What? You can fly?" He asked. Kali and Lleu watched in amazement but they followed the gliding Cassandra. "YOU! CAN! FLY!" Heyoka shouted, Eris smiled at him. Kali and Lleu were amazed as well: "Oh my..." Lleu breathed. The two followed Eris and Heyoka to wherever they are going. Eris and Heyoka managed to find a quiet, abandoned place and landed there. Eris let Heyoka go safely from her grasp."So, whatcha think?" Eris asked with a smile.
Heyoka was speechless until he remembered what happened. "Arrrrrgggggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!" He shouted. Heyoka charged at her with a vorpal blade but it smashed into a wall. "You're right, you're right. I was trying to show you--" Eris said quickly as possible. "You....You!" Heyoka warned. "Right, sorry! Sorry!" Eris apologized."OK, OK, Take it easy." She claimed. Heyoka nodded feebly, "Are you an angel? A demon?" He asked. “Not at all, I just…I don’t know what I am but I can tell you one thing. I am no demon nor angel. I come in peace and came to know you— Heyoka Brenin. Please, let me talk to the authorities and explain what’s going on.” Eris explained. At once; Heyoka lowered his weapon and nodded. “OK. I’ll trust you. But if you pull anything, I’ll kill you.” He said. Eris nods, obeying to his word but she fear of being hurt again. Kali and Lleu came by, “Are you OK?” Kali asked. “I am now.” Heyoka said. Eris, Heyoka, Kali and Lleu walked back to the base of the camp where there were staring from the others. Heyoka looks at Eris, "Well, ask them if you want to talk to the 'authorities'." He whispered. Eris was nervous around these people, she cleared her throat and spoke up, "Hello there...Is there someone I can talk to? Please?" Just then, the commander Minos Ruiter appears before her. "I may be useful for any assistance." He said to her. A few minutes later, Minos & Ramses are seen talking to Eris who was seated and looking rather shy. "Let me see if I heard you right, you are trying to tell me you took on a Sigbin with just your mind. You didn't even touch it, am I correct?" asked Minos Ruiter. Ramses scoffed, he didn't even smile though. Minos gestured him to be quiet, Eris nodded. "Yes sir." She said. "That thing wanted to eat me...And I didn't, I didn't want to die so I had no choice but...Is that a problem?"
Minos shook his head, "No. Not at all. I think you did it to survive and I must say I am impressed." He admitted. "Can I say something?" said Ramses, "I like to see some proof of your power." Eris looked at him with disbelief, "Right now?" She asked. Ramses nodded, "Yes." He said. "Me and my big mouth." thought Eris. She stood up as she said slowly, "OK..." Eris straightened herself together, she rolled her shoulders back and then she closed her eyes as she whispered, "...Here goes...." Concentrated; she was about to summon this power but the distraction of the door bursting open made her lose concentration. A soldier's voice called out, "Commander Ruiter, I apolo--" Eris spun to him to glare however her telekinesis accidentally sent the man backwards, "Ahhhh!" He cried. "No!" Eris screeched, using her telekinesis to save the soldier, who was shocked over what just happened. "Do not tell anyone." begged Eris. The soldier was so frightened that he couldn't speak, he was speechless so Minos came to him and said, "I would advise you not to speak of what you saw to anyone. I believe this 'witch' you would try to accuse will not be in this record." The soldier saluted, "Yes sir!" He said and off he went. It was silent for a moment before Ramses spoke up, "I don't think this is good for her to use this power. She shouldn't use it." Eris looked at him with surprise, "What--?" She asked. But lucky for her, Minos came to the rescue: "Her powers are dangerous but she needs practice, that's all. A little encouragement." He said. Ramses glared at him, then he thought about it. "True." Ramses admitted. He was quiet for a moment before he spoke again, "...I have an idea." Banrion and Eris head out to the training area of the encampment. A lot of soldiers were talking a little, Eris saw Heyoka among the crowd. "Listen up!" Captain Banrion announced , silencing the chit-chat. The soldiers immediately were standing tall, and they looked stoned face. "Captain Ramses Banrion, sir!" They respond. Ramses Banrion removed his cap and spoke to the others with authority. "You will assemble full tilt and without a sound." He said, loosening his white collar underneath his uniform.
Ramses turned to the soldiers and then he called out, "Eris Samson, step forward please." Eris approached him but didn't meet his eyes as he spoke to her: "He who is impulsive can be murdered. As a result, though we have heard of foolish urgency in battle, inventive has never been seen associated with far-off hindrances. To accomplish centenary fights is not of the cardinal merit. Conquer one's enemy past combating is the climax of power. You can't show fear--at all." Captain Banrion went behind her, speaking softly to her. "Allow your expedition be that of the tempest, your density that of the woods. In maraud and liberation be like the pyre, in stability like the peaks. Allow your strategies be crepuscular yet substantial as night, and when you run, drop like a drum fire." Then he spoke up, "Show us what you can do." said Ramses. He moved away, Eris took his words to heart and she concentrated. However she can hear something, she looked around but no one was speaking but she can hear in their thoughts. A song, it sounded familiar. Like a music box playing. Then, Lzzy Hale's voice sang: "I pirouette in the dark, I see the stars through me." There was a violin playing in her head. "Is that Lindsey's violin?" thought Eris. "Tired mechanical heart, Beats 'til the song disappears." sang Lzzy. The violin played, then the music in her head got intense. The singing in her head, it gave her courage with this chorus Lzzy sang, "Somebody shine a light, I'm frozen by the fear in me. Somebody make me feel alive, And shatter me! So cut me from the line. Dizzy, spinning endlessly. Somebody make me feel alive, And shatter me!" She concentrated and then she managed to telekinetically break apart all of the objects of the training while the violin drop and the chorus continued to belt in her ears: "Shatter me!...Somebody make me feel alive, And shatter me!"
While taking a walk in the forest, Eris saw Heyoka training but then Eris watched in horror as Heyoka turned into a Kresnik, “Oh dear Lord! He’s a Kresnik?” She thought. Kresnik Heyoka begin to do all sorts of combat moves in order to take down these savage, killer monsters. Eris hide behind a tree, watching him work hard at his skills. Once Heyoka was done, he changed back to normal but he fell unconscious. This is it, this was her chance to see inside his head and she rushed over there. Eris kneel down at the unconscious Heyoka she placed her hands on the side of his face and begins to read his mind: Heyoka Brenin dreamt for so long, even around morning. That's when he woke up with a start. He saw someone peering down at him, it was his 9 year old brother Lleu. "Lleu, what are you doing peering at me like that?" Heyoka asked in a groggy tone. "You were supposed to be ready, I was waiting for you to wake up. We were supposed to go to the Marquises' house, remember? It's Kali's birthday." Lleu explained. Heyoka groaned in disbelief, he couldn't believe it. He'd forgotten about that, it was Kali's tenth birthday today! He couldn't believe he forgotten about it. "Sorry, tell Mom and Dad to wait for me. I'll be right down." said Heyoka. In the next flashback; the trio were standing in a circle of light, looking left and right. All of a sudden his flashlight burnt out. The three friends stood stock-still in the blackness, waiting for something awful to happen. Then, there was some creature with claw-like hands and a body that walked on all fours. Its limbs and posture make it seem deformed or mangled. There was black tenctacle-like appendages out of his back and featureless face. It attacked Heyoka and then there was a struggle between the creature, Heyoka tried to get the monster off him however the beast seized his arm and bit him in his wrist. Heyoka screamed, then he fainted from blood loss.
Lleu and Kali were so scared as they couldn't believe what they just witnessed, they were relieved however the creature was about to attack them when someone from behind struggles with the monster, it looked to be a young man with black hollow eyes and he looked enraged at the monster. He fought it as he chased it but then, the monster used his appendages to kill this warrior. With the man's final breath, he begs Lleu and Kali to live. Another memory shows Kali was carrying Heyoka who was alive but unconscious. She was crying from the looks of it. "Please...Help us, He's dying of blood loss!" Kali weeped. The next memory shows of Heyoka, Lleu, and Kali woke up as they saw the Sigbins, who found them as they were about to kill them when Beatrice stepped in and let herself take for the kill. "Mom! No!" cried Heyoka. "Heyoka, get out of here now!" exclaimed Beatrice. "No, I'm not leaving you!" Atlas screamed. Before his mother could say anything else, she gets stabbed in the chest and Kali pulled him along as Heyoka and Lleu cried in fear, "Mooooommmmmm!!!!!!" Tears were cascading down their faces. Eris was choked up over this but she thought, "Heyoka...I don't want to hurt you, I just want to understand you. To feel better, to feel like I'm not the only one." Eris thought, talking to him in his thoughts. Suddenly, she felt a burst of pain through her. "What's happening? I feel--Augh! It hurts!" She said, gasping. She could hear Lzzy's voice again: "Somebody shine a light, I'm frozen by the fear in me. Somebody make me feel alive, And shatter me! So cut me from the line. Dizzy, spinning endlessly. Somebody make me feel alive, And shatter me!" She concentrated and then she managed to telekinetically break apart all of the objects of the training. Once she was finished; there was an applause from the others. She was embraced by someone from behind. She looked to see that it was Lleu grinning and Kali hugging her. Heyoka had an arm around Eris’s shoulder, he has a small but pleased smile on his face.
For the first time, Eris could belong. She noticed that Ramses was slowly applauding to her. His face remained unchanged however there was a hint of satisfactory. Heyoka regained consciousness, he was shocked to see what was happening. "Oh no!" He thought. Eris begin to change into a Kresnik, she was unaware of what is going on but for the first time, she wanted to fight. She saw other Sigbins and she went after them fiercely. She lunged at the Sigbins for the kill as she rescues lives like the other soldiers. Once it was all over; Eris transformed back to normal, gasping as she fell unconscious to the ground. "Did Eris just--?" thought Heyoka. "How did she do that?" Later, Minos was told what happened as he glanced at her body lying in the medical room, his face was calm and relax but he looked concern at this mysterious girl. "Eris Samson, what are you?" He thought. Panted and gasping for breath after waking up from a dream; Eris looked around to see that she was in the medics. She looked beside her to see Heyoka sleeping beside her cot. Eris seemed pleasant to see him there as she wondered what happened. That's when she remembered, she had touched Jack's forehead and absorbed his powers! And how she became a Kresnik for 60 minutes! "Oh god, did I really become a Kresnik?" She thought. "Dear Lord of Elijah! Have mercy on me!" She looked back at Jack, who was still asleep. Eris wonders to herself: "What the hell am I? Just what in the hell am I?" In all her life, she had been a broken person since the shooting of the prom. But with some like Heyoka; he was a passionate, determined, and emotional and she never met anyone like him. Hot blooded, berserk warrior as he was and strong. She needed liberty. She wants out from her anguish. Heyoka was somehow an inspiration for her.
Doubt clouding her mind; Eris is caught between freedom from her trauma and not wanting to be in danger. Would she die while doing this? Meanwhile; Captain Banrion and others cadets are under attack by the Sigbins. But lately, they were struggling against them and things weren't going too well. That was about to change when someone looked up and saw something in the distance. "Look, up there!" One of the soldiers called. Immediately, Captain Banrion saw someone standing on a mountain top. It was a girl, which she hollers: "Soldiers, heed my words, I am here to delivery you from the hands of the Sigbins. Witness a miracle I will perform." The others looked at each other with confusion, Captain Banrion watched what she can do. The girl took a deep breath and flexed her hands out. All of a sudden; to everyone was shocked to see a body of water in the sky. Then, the water came onto the Sigbin and drowned them. The water turns into a huge block of ice prison for the creatures. Then she glided down and kicked the ice block, which exploded in pieces. The girl landed among the pieces, but noticed Ramses and the two locked eyes for a moment. Ramses got a good look of the young lady: The young woman has hair was straight and of mid length and flowing while also very wavy. Her eyes has shades of turquoise and sea green, there were gems on the sides of her eyes near her eyes. There was white and dark blue among the eyelids. There was a few strands of her hair were bright blue and some few strands were light blue and white. She approached Ramses and she saluted. "Esther Paige, reporting for duty." She announced. She beamed and then looked to see Ramses Banrion looking at her. "Captain Ramses Banrion. Nice to meet you." He said.
Earlier in her life; Esther had witnessed her parents being killed by a rebel Kresnik and was heartbroken so she vowed to find out who killed them. In her time of her youth, Esther goes to meet her mentor who was strict and mean. While Isis was singing her song that she wrote. Her mentor scolded at her, he called her a 'fat vocalist' for her talent. He shows Esther an example of talent of music videos of sexy women dancing! Then he pinched her skin hard, saying: "You need to lose a few pounds of flubber here!" Esther was flabbergasted and seems upset at the face that he just dissed her on her music masterpiece. Troubled in her anguish; things were changing for her: She begin to have an intense fear of gaining weight or becoming fat, even when underweight. She refused to keep weight at what is considered normal for her age and height, Esther begins to have a body image that is very distorted, be very focused on body weight or shape, and refuse to admit the danger of weight loss. And did some extreme dieting: She cut food into small pieces or moving them around the plate instead of eating, exercising all the time, going to the bathroom right after meals, refusing to eat around other people, & using pills to make themselves urinate, have a bowel movement and decrease their appetite. However the results got worse. Esther suffered of depression, she has bone strength loss, and wasting away of muscle and body fat. She was feeling miserable; Esther was so thin. And here she was worrying about the grease and calories of food yet she denied it. But questioned why she was feeling this way. One day, a friend of hers noticed and begin to talk to her. Esther then broke down crying as she explained that she thinks she is having a problem.
She believes this isn't normal of what she was feeling. People don't think like this. Realizing she wasn't happy; Esther begin to change. It was a journey through problems in her life and now she is improving in her life. In the present, Esther was on a horse and she looked out at the forest path and looked back to see Commander Ruiter and the others. "You want me to gallop down this path? Are you sure?" asked Esther. "Just a warm up, just to see how much you improve on your skills." assured Commander Ruiter. Esther seemed anxious about this task, "I don't know if I'm up for this." She commented. Captain Banrion came beside her, putting a hand on her shoulder, "You can do it, you're the best we got." He said. "Really?" asked Esther. She was trembling and then she brightens up, "OK. I'll do it!" She exclaimed. Esther took the reins and prepared herself. She closed her eyes for a moment but then opens them instantly. Pulling on the reins; Isis cried, "HI-YAH!" And she galloped down the path while the others ride behind her but Esther was much faster. She looked back to see they were still following her. She felt faint fear but mostly she felt excitement running through her body. Esther had never felt such adrenaline through her, she tilted her head back and spread her arms out. Esther was snapped back to reality by the sound of the horse neighing, it brought her back to earth and she managed to stop the horse. She panted and panted but she laid her head down on the back of the horse however she sat up when the others approached. Commander Ruiter smiled triumphantly, Captain Banrion nodded. The others were impressed with this girl's ability. Esther was so excited that she fist pumps the air and cheered, "Woo hoo!"
But then she sensed someone was crying out as Esther head over there. She found an ocean which was calm. Nobody was there as Esther looked around but then she is trapped in an ice cage. When Ramses saw this, he went to get help. Esther is encased in an ice fort and begins to hallucinate in there as she begins to peer into the glass but she saw a blurry image of her parents' killer in there. She trembles with fear until she angrily slammed her fist into the glass but then she falls back, as her fears got worse enough to torment her. Esther stands up when she saw a hallucination of a butterfly as she begins to feel better. But then Esther is filled with dread when she saw a bat flying. She backs away with fear, but then she has a hallucination in the encased ice as she saw herself with a body filled with cracks like she was made of glass and begins to have a scary illusion of herself breaking out of the fort but she is falling to her doom. Esther put that out of her head and decides to go for it, she shatter the fort but herself in her hallucination she shatters as well. Esther faces her enemies of the Sigbins as she never felt so free in all her life! And now Esther was faced with new beginnings. And for awhile, she's not the least bit cold. Eris is training with Heyoka when a soldier came to say that someone by the name, Demeter Victor, has come to see Eris, who immediately recognize that name as her mother. Eris meets Demeter Victor as she told her how she was trying to keep her own daughter safe from the abusive man that was her former husband and she was going through obstacles in her life.
Eris forgives her as she is cherished of her eighteenth birthday. Eris, Heyoka, Kali, and Lleu celebrated but Demeter ask Heyoka if he knows where the cutter is to cut the cake. Heyoka leaves to go find it however he never came back and there was incoherent shouting and one of the soldiers came, "Lady Eris, come quick! Heyoka is in trouble!" Eris hurried over as she gets by in the crowd, who is seeing this happen, as she could hear a man scream: "I want to see my daughter! What have you people done with her?!" The man screamed. "Get your filthy paws off me, you maniac! Get off me!" Heyoka cried. "GET OFF HIM!!!!" Eris cried. The man turned and his face softened. "Eris? Hi sweetheart, how are ya?" He said. Eris couldn't believe it, "Are you my father?" She asked. The man lets Heyoka go and walks over, "What? Can't give your old man a hug?" He said. "You strangled my friend, what? You gonna strangle me too?" snapped Eris. The man's face fell, "That boy was a menace. A raging monster. He tried to kill me." He said. "YOU WERE TRYING TO KILL ME YOU SON OF A BITCH!!!!!" Heyoka cried. "SHUT UP, YOU MAGGOT! YOU CYNICAL CRAP SACKING BEAST!!!!!" The man cried. "DON'T YOU DARE TALK TO HIM THAT WAY!!!!!" Eris screamed. The man turned to Eris, "You don't know who I am? I am your father, Cronos." He said. "Yeah, I heard you beat up my mom. What did she ever do to you?" demanded Eris. "She was a lazy, skanky, stupid prig." said Cronos. "SHE WAS NEVER THAT LAZY!!!!!" Eris cried. Then she said in a calmer tone, "Listen. I think you should leave now before something bad happens." "I'm not leaving my daughter that I haven't seen in years. Please come home with me, we can have a life together." said Cronos.
"I don't think so. What are you going to do? Try to kill me too?" demanded Eris. "No. Never." insisted Cronos. "I don't believe you." said Eris. "What? Why?!" cried Cronos. "Because I'm not the one who beats his wife." remarked Eris. Cronos was enraged and slapped Eris so hard she fell to the ground. Cronos tackled her, "YOU PIECE OF SHIT, YOU REALLY KNOW HOW TO PISS OFF YOUR DADDY DON'T YOU??!!" He was about to attack until Eris threw him back with her telekinesis. Eris gets up moved away from him as she continued to talk, "I am nothing like you...And I'll never be like you. You can blubber and beseech all you want but I'm staying here." Eris stares down at him sternly, "You can't stop me...And I don't want to talk to you anymore." Just then Cronos seized her, "You're not going anywhere!" screamed Cronos. Eris pushed his hand away, "Don't touch me!" She exclaimed, turning away from him. "You cannot handle this!" Cronos cried. Eris turned back to him, "Oh, I can't? I'm the one trying to atone for my sins. You're the one who is in denial!" She bellowed, and stormed off. "ERIS!" cried Cronos but Eris didn't turn back, and for the first time; she won. While lying in bed of a cabin by herself; Eris was listening to "Shatter Me" over and over again but she listened to "Beyond the Veil" and "Master of Tides". So far, it sounded nice to the hearing. Lindsey created music, which was her violin and dubstep sounding. It was awesome music she was listening to. She fell asleep while humming to "Shatter Me". In the Morgenstern Squad; Heyoka meets Esther Paige, Alexi Granger, Dimitri Carlton, and Petr Cadell. While working; Eris was lost in a trance as she was humming, "...So cut me from the line. Dizzy, spinning endlessly. Somebody make me feel alive, And shatter me...."
Esther, who was cleaning beside her, heard her humming softly. "Singing helps you work faster?" She asked. Eris jumps and looks up. "Sorry?" She asked. "You were singing a little softly. Sounds like that song is nice." replied Esther. "It's Lindsey Stirling. The song is Shatter Me. If you want to hear it, I got the CD." said Eris timidly. Esther nodded, "Hmm. Never heard of her. It sounds nice." She replied. Eris smiled and the girls continued to work. After completing the rest of her work; Esther is taking a bath alone. She kept thinking about her feelings to resolve them would cause some confusion of whether the relationship should be saved or stuck out. However, this is nothing new: visions of them being together and happy, all of the moments that they had together are what she wants. And she's thinking about what could've been. She knew this was it, it was all going to change, and she began to have absent minded second thoughts about whether this will all go to plan. She pretended to get what she wanted to be happy however all her life she always said she wanted to be part of the Morgenstern. But mentor and family members have doubted her unrealistic ambitious dreams, telling her that would never happen. "Is it OK to live in an average life? Do you need to pretend you are something you’re not? Should I live the life I want to? Will I get my chance of wed to Captain Banrion? Do I have the power in my hands? Where there’s a will, there’s a way right? If he needs me; I will be there....All the time. In a frequent manner......I’ll be there when needed." She thought. But then after her bath and she was changing; she heard scuffling noises and looks out to see that Alexi, Dimitri, and Petr had been murdered by someone in dark clothing. The figure turned around and saw Esther, he tried to get her to the ground and kill her but luckily Ramses saved her in time.
Esther couldn't believe how fast that was, the man that had killed them is Absalom as he was the same person that had murdered Esther and was planning on killing her too. Ramses fought Absalom, who escaped, and Ramses decides to let him go however Esther, who learns about Absalom being the same guy who murdered her parents, refuse to leave. She wants to face Absalom and to get rid of him. "Why?" Banrion asked. "You saw what he tried to do, I will not..." Esther said. "What? An eye for an eye? Fight fire with fire? Is that it?" Banrion asked. Esther chuckled darkly with no humor and said, "That's the thing...You forget, you don't know anything about me." "I am not going to let you go after him by yourself." said Banrion. "Oh really?" Esther said, unleashing her powers. "Captain Banrion, what are you going to do to stop me?" Calmly, Banrion walked over and put his hands on her shoulders. Esther gasped, but she heard him say: "Nothing. Because I'm going to help you do it." Esther trembled, "You'd do that...For me?" She asked. Then, her emotions got the best of her and she embraced the captain tightly but he didn't care, all that matters he was going to help her. He caressed her hair in a comfort manner. "Thank you, thank you!" blubbered Esther. She wiped her face and pulled herself together. There was a battle to be started. They both confronted Absalom, who had struck Esther in the shoulder. She was bleeding not too profusely as she managed to stay alive.
Ramses pierced Absalom so much that he killed him. Absalom was dead and Esther was injured but not too badly. Captain Banrion grasped onto her hand, "Come on. Stay with me, you're going to be OK." He said. Esther opened her eyes, she smiled. "Sir, I'm sorry. I thought...I thought I was doing you a favor. Please tell me I was useful for something." She said. Ramses trembled, "Yes. You were." He said. "That's good. I'm glad I met you, Captain Banrion." whispered Esther. She closed her eyes, and fell unconscious. Ramses couldn't believe it, he bowed his head and rushed her to the medics. She recovered however she needed her rest. However, Captain Banrion receives a letter that was meant for him from Esther. It said: "Dear Captain Ramses Banrion, I had a dream and I believe that dream told me about you. I had a dream that told me about what love was going to be like. It's silly, you think of me as a friend but when I got to know you more and more, Thank you, I think I'm in love with you. You taught me a lot of things and I want to allocate myself to you. You inspired me so much, maybe for some reason you love me too. Maybe not...A man like you is strong, brave, and wonderful. I hope maybe you can say yes...." Ramses's vacant expression was crestfallen, he couldn't believe it. But he didn't, he couldn't...He didn't know what to say. He wasn't sure what to say about the letter, the letter floated to the ground. It was too much for him to bear this heavy burden on his shoulders. Alexi. Dimitri. And Petr. They were dead. And he was happy that Esther was alive.
"C'mon Thoth, where is he?" demanded Ramses. "Give him a break, he was abused by this guy!" Minos said. Eris looks in, she saw a distressed man. "He was our friend!" Thoth cried. "Chandra and I tried to stop him but he wouldn't listen! He--he said to me, 'You need to grow a pear, instead you don't have any guts in you--At all.'" He begin to cry silently, Eris was furious. She barged into the interrogation room. She heaved a breath. Thoth, Chandra, Ramses and Minos looked shocked. “You---You? You are friends with the man that killed my adopted father?!” Eris yelled. Thoth cowered in fear, “Yes, I—I’m sorry, I am so sorry.” He whimpered. “You’re sorry? Why couldn’t you stop him? From killing my sisters and father? What did they ever do to him?” screamed Eris. But she was restrained by Heyoka and Kali, who keep her from hurting Thoth. “OK, OK. Easy.” Kali chided. “They should be arrested for being his accomplice! Put the needle in his arm and punish him!” shouted Eris. Eris was reported suffering from panic attacks and she goes to find a medicine to treat her attacks. She was stress among other things however the medicine she took was Angelus pulverem. While Eris takes the medicine; she begins to have hallucinations and she was fainting. Just then, Eris's dreams got more erratic and the more they became erratic, it was grisly and scary to look at them all. Eris woke up in an illusion and looked around, depressed in a chair she sat in. She wore a transparent gown, which is projected with different designs and she gets up as Eris finds she is in various places that keep switching, Jehoram was delighted while Eris is gloomy.
She saw projections of people in mirrors as they were talking to her however Eris couldn't understand them as she emotionless and found nothing. But Jehorahm is in dismay when he saw Eris reenact with the scenarios and change her style and she seemed happy nevertheless Jehoram changed it back. Suddenly, she ducked down to get her weapon outside of the fantasy illusion. Eris took her weapon as she fights on however she peered over as Jehoram looked shocked that Eris found out, which occurred her to smile at this. Jehoram frantically tried to stop it, try to trap her in there but to no avail, Eris broke the illusion with her powers, which angered her and Jehoram watched in a fury. Jehoram laughs dryly, "Had enough? I'll make the dose even deeper....." But heard inhuman growling, he turned to see what that sound was coming from. Heyoka appeared in his Sigbin form. Jehorahm screamed in horror, he backs away as he cried out, "Help me! Help me! Help me!" Heyoka were advancing on her as Jehoram screeched, "NOOOOOOO!" Eris stopped them as she stands over Jehoram, who cowers in fear. "If I tell them to back off, will you remove all traces of Angelus pulverem?" asked Eris. "Yes, yes. Anything! I'll do anything! Just get them away from me!" begged Jehoram, still shaken. Eris smiled, "Good. That's what I want to hear." She said. Later; There was music, mingling, and food there. She was sitting with Heyoka. But Eris and Heyoka are called to the podium to accept awards for honor.
Everyone applauded as Eris and Heyoka rushed over to accept. Eris was filled with joy that she embraced Heyoka but the moment was ruined by an uninvited guest, Jehoram, who plays a video of how he video-taped his killings of Eris's foster father and sisters. Everyone watched in horror as Jehoram begin to laugh. Eris was so angry that her powers activate as she took it out on the video and she was about to kill Jehoram. But stops herself; thinking this wouldn't be the way. So she lets him live. Jehoram was about to kill Eris however he is stabbed from behind--much to everyone's shock--and the person responsible was Thoth who had fainted from his own shock. He was sobbing on the floor, upset over what he and Chandra both did. Eris stood there stalk still at Thoth, she didn't know what to say. She too felt free from her own pain. "Hello?" She called. Eris and Heyoka looked around but found no one. However, they saw someone violently bashed them each with a shovel, and they lost conscious. Later, Eris wakes up to see that she was awake. She looked over at Heyoka. He had his wrists bind together above but he has a gag in his mouth. Eris saw her father, he had different sharp objects there. "Dad? What's going on?" She asked. Cronos turned to her, "Eris, I told you before....I told you....." He muttered, taking a knife in his hand. "Daddy, this isn't right." Eris replied. She is terrified as her father looked at her and took a step towards Heyoka. Eris stepped away from him, "I will ride this monster, I will strip him of his power until there is nothing left....." droned Heyoka. Heyoka looks terrified but Eris saves him by using her power and tries to destroy her father's 'work'. Eris and Heyoka escape after she frees him.
They rushed out but heard the sound of Cronos calling out, "Eeeerrrr--rrrrrrr--isssss." Eris shivered, she tried to open the door but it wouldn't budge. "No, come on! Come on, come on!" She muttered. Just then, The deranged Cronos had a sickle in his hand and was laughing like mad. "EEEEE--RRRRR--IIIIISSSSSSS!" He said, swaying side to side like crazy. With all her strength; Eris breaks down the door and runs but her father try to stab her however she used her powers to trip him. He almost fell on the knife until Eris saves him and calls the police for help. Cronos is placed in a windowless room and they strap in his new bed. Cronos try to bite and claw them however he was left no choice. He screamed at them, "BASTARDS! YOU'LL SUFFER FOR THIS! YOU SHOULD BE LOCKED UP!!" The medics left with blank faces. They closed the door, and his shouting was muffled. In a dream; Heyoka was the clock boy while Eris was the porcelain ballerina. Heyoka was always fixing the pieces while Eris was twirling but for a different change of pace; she gets off the podium as she walks over to peer from her prison as she can see outside that there is something out there. Eris had long to go outside, to break out of her prison and erase so she can move on with her life. Eris then shatters from the prison as she flies away. Nobody to wind her up and spin when the music box plays. No longer she had to spin around on that podium. Never again. At all. Heyoka can see her freedom as he smiles at how free she is and how she feels so alive and awake from the prison she was in.
Epilogue
In reality, Eris was taking a walk in the city when she saw someone playing violin and wonders who that it. When she saw up close, she couldn't believe it was: Lindsey Stirling was dancing and playing violin. When she finished; everybody applauded and she took a bow. Lindsey looked over to see Eris with a grin, who gave her a thumbs up, and Lindsey grinned with glee. "You know." thought Eris, "Heyoka and the others had helped me out in so many ways. And also, Lindsey did too. I think I found my freedom and found a good place to start my life at its new beginning."

In a place called Summerland, where it never snows but it can get cold sometimes. There was a girl name Fortuna Alektor. Fortuna has dark haired and dark eyes with olive sallow complexion. She was the bubbliest, dorkiest, sweetest, outlandish, and cutest girl who is mistaken to be a teenager when she's the funnest 21 year old girl. But today she's working on chores today. While working; Fortuna was tedious of all the work that had to be done. "Geez, this is such a bore." moaned Fortuna. "Eh!!!" said Fortuna's little brother. "Don't complain, woman, it'll be fine." "Riiiiiigggggggghhhhhhtttt." Fortuna remarked. She groaned, "Why can't we have a life like the ones in animes?" whined Fortuna. "Will you stop?" said her brother. "What?" asked Fortuna. "It's all you talk about. Anime this, Anime that. Nonstop." replied her brother. Fortuna shrugged, "Hey, it's cool. I want a team just like in the action animes." She said. When she is all finished; Fortuna went back to finishing her story, WHOOPASS, and she has hopes. She created the characters and the city called Emina. Emina is backwards of 'anime', she feels so happy that she did some changes on it to improvise as well as make it better. She never felt this proud about anything in the world. She was a crazed anime otaku gal that loves shonen animes rather than shojo manga. She has a change of heart since she was a kid. Once she was done, she begin to daydream.
In her daydream; Fortuna is called in to do some training and to unearth some groundwork on some young man who is mild, antisocial, kingfish lone wolf name Loki Kitsune. Fortuna is suspicious to know who he is. He seemed to interest her but doesn't know where to start. Out of curiosity; she did some research on Pretty Boys in her story--Diarmuid, Adonis, and Hyacith. Fortuna blushes and getting all giggly, "Hell-O Can-dy!" She exclaimed. "FORTUNA!!!!" Her little brother bellowed. Fortuna snapped out of her daydream, "Yes?" She called. "Come on, you're supposed to go to see Eirene and Ishtar." said Fortuna's mother. Fortuna gasped dramatically, "Oh snap!" She said, "Coming! Sorry, forgot!" She got dressed quickly, brush her hair and teeth, got her shoes--Her story she had been working on and her cellphone. She is talking to Eirene Forseti and Ishtar Virtus; showing them her manga she created. The title of her story is called WHOOPASS. The story is shonen about guys fighting to see who will see who conquers who. But Fortuna's story got rejected! "What? What do you mean he said no?" demanded Ishtar. "Does that guy how much work you put in there and how much drawing I put into?" asked Eirene. "Jerk ass." Ishtar muttered. "Don't worry, he's going to call back." assured Fortuna. "What do you mean by that--" Ishtar started to ask, but Fortuna's cellphone rang and it's the people that rejected her. They accept the new story she edited, and hope she comes to the panel. "See? I told you this one is in the bag." bragged Fortuna. "Fist bump, dude!" exclaimed Ishtar. "No fist bumps, we're girls." said Eirene. Ishtar pouted a little, Fortuna smiled and then she made a suggestion
"How about this one time?" asked Fortuna. Eirene sighed, "OK." She said and they all fist bump. That night, Fortuna was lying in her air mattress. She couldn't sleep as she thought about her life: In the past; Fortuna was rejected by troubled classmates whom she once thought of as her friends because these people were cool. In middle school, she was bullied. And as a child, she went through a mess of her being hypersensitive to sounds and being abused by her father because she couldn't 'behave right'. But in her young adult years, she had graduated and thought she would find a man she would like to date. Fortuna finally met a handsome young man name Ammon Edom. Ammon was a nice, beautiful, yet caring person so the two of them decide to hang on a date but then Ammon begin to act strangely. He begins to smoke, he got drunk, he was violent, he was sadistic to the distress Fortuna. Fortuna try to escape however Ammon tried to prevent her and attempt to 'do his way with her'. Fortuna used skills she was taught to fight back and she made a way out. She ran, and ran until she finally found shelter. She used a phone to call her mother and tell her what had happened. Her mother finally found her as she took her daughter back home, crying happily to see that Fortuna is not dead. Fortuna is scared from that experience, this was the last straw; she couldn't take this anymore. She vowed to never again count on someone else to rescue her. From now on, Fortuna would be rescuing herself. So she gained enhanced abilities of speed, strength, agility, and danger intuition--The ability to detect impending threats. She did not want to be a damsel in distress, she wanted to be the 'damsel out of distress', the action girl that any girl want to be.
Listening to coolest track single again. It's an intense song, but Fortuna didn't know what to write about now. She laid down as she continued to think however listening the song like a hundred more times. Fortuna begin to dream as she dreamt of something more beautiful. When she woke up; Fortuna begins to see her project coming to life and she gets to consume inside of her own manga. When she looked around, she's inside WHOOPASS! Today in the city; Fortuna found a cute guy. He looked like a matured young teen at around 14-15. He seemed cute, good looking. Fortuna felt weak in the knees, she forced to straighten them and went over to give him a smile. When the guy saw Fortuna standing there smiling awkwardly, he glared at her dubiously. “What?” The guy asked. Ophelia felt really stupid, “Uh, what?” She said nicely. “You’re just standing there, what do you want?” The boy asked. Fortuna completely forgot what she came for but she remembered. “Oh! I want to know your name.” She replied. The guy smirked at her, “Pfft, like I’d tell you loon.” He said, as he strolled away. Fortuna is stunned but she runs over to him and stops him. “Loon? Now wait just a minute! I wasn’t ready, I was fashioning on being funny and cute but I totally blew it. Can I have a second chance? Please?” She asked with pleading eyes. The boy looked at her but he seemed interested, “You wanna know my name? It’s Cain Morgenstern.” Fortuna smiled, “I’m Fortuna Alektor.” She said. Cain was awestruck by this, “Fortuna, huh. I’ll remember that.” He said and turned to walk away. Fortuna felt her heart beating, “Score one, for the girl!” She thought happily.
She skipped away gleefully but she stopped when she saw something there. "A skateboard!" Fortuna cried. She said. She starts to do cool tricks on it. "All right, let's do this!" She belted as she did the skateboard tricks. "A couple more!" She stopped again and said to herself, “One more!" "ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR FRICKING MIND?!" A voice cried. Fortuna yelped, "Aaah!" She fell on her face. The boy looked guilty and came over to the girl, concern that she fell on her face as it could be bruised. "Are you OK?" He asked nervously, red in the face. Fortuna is stunt by this boy. "No, I'm sorry. I didn't know this was your board." She explained. The boy looked shy, "Yeah, m-my bad! I-I-I'm sorry! But, don't touch it--I mean! I mean, be careful!" He stuttered. Fortuna looked at the boy. "Are you OK?" She asked. The boy laughs nervously. "Nah. Nothin' wrong with me." He claims. Fortuna looked at him with a suspicious look, this girl was making him uncomfortable so he decides to approach this more gently. "I--Um, I just thought those moves were pr--pretty cool." He said. Fortuna beamed. "Thanks. I've been skateboarding for a while." She explains briefly. This surprise the boy, "Really? W--Wow!" He stuttered. "Yeah." Fortuna nodded. She grew more suspicious of the boy's behavior. "What's wrong?" Fortuna asked. "Just--s--sh--shy!" The boy stammered. Smiling coyly; Fortuna placed an arm around his neck and pulled him towards her. The boy blushed, nervous as he was when he stared at the leering girl. “Come Kitty, You're so pretty. Don't go Kitty! Stay with me! Play with me!” She said in a sing-song voice. "My name's not 'Kitty', it's fricking Sharik Gwydion!" snapped the boy, blushing. Just then someone made the two of them startled, it was Cain. Fortuna is amazed as she said, "My friend, you are....A good looking devil!" She exclaimed. Sharik and Cain looked flabbergasted. "What you call me?" Cain demanded.
Fortuna giggled, Cain composed himself. "So, you are the little pixie that's been causing a lot of trouble." Cain remarked. He had been in the shadows the whole time. "Me? Trouble?" said Fortuna, "I'm just an angel from heaven to be sent here on earth. Anything you want me to do, is in the Lord's hands." Sharik looks at her funny, "You're so fricking weird." He remarked. "Thanks, I know I am but who are you? A punk? A kid?" said Fortuna. Ace looked at her and said, "Mind tell us who you working for?" Sharik look back at him with a hard glare, "'Us'? Since when do you and I work together? You got me imprisoned here, asshole!" "Shut up." snapped Cain. He turned back to Fortuna, "Would you mind telling me who you working for?" He asked. Fortuna twists her lips thoughtfully yet in a cute manner, she considers this for a moment as Sharik and Cain wait for her to reply. "I could! But that would just give myself away." She said finally. "Here, let's hold a challenge!" "Challenge?" Sharik and Cain chorused. "Yup, whoever takes me down is the winner. Starting...now!" Fortuna pressed a button on a pen-like device and a puff of smoke out comes! She escapes. Sharik and Cain went after her separately as they try to track down the place she is at. Finally after many obstacles later; Sharik and Cain found Fortuna's location however there was a wheel with lucky charms and bad lucks. "Is this--?" Sharik started to say but a voice from above startles them. "Hi boys, welcome to the grand palace, cool ain't it?" It was Fortuna, coiled around a pillar. "How the hell you got in here?!" Sharik demanded. Fortuna shrugged casually. "What can I say, I'm that good. I am the trickster." She bragged.
"You are one hell of a woman, I guess Sharik and I underestimated you." Ace commented. "You guys sure can unimpressive, you guys are one gold hearted boys." Fortuna said. She ran, dodging and hiding. "Game's over, Fortuna! We win!" Ace replied. "We won this stupid game!" Fortuna dodged them still! "Come out, come out, wherever you are!" Sharik hollered. "Boy oh boy, I knew there was something interesting about them since we met. They're more impressive than I thought." Fortuna muttered to herself, pleased by all this. "You can run, but you can't hide!" Cain called out. They thought they got her but it was only her jacket. "What the hell--?" Sharik demanded in shock. Cain turned and his eyes widened, pointing to what's coming. "Look out!" "Surprise!" cried Fortuna, lunging at Sharik. She was in a long sleeved shirt, smiling down at Sharik, who blushed at her ingenue beauty and her large breasts but realized what he was suppose to do. "Hey, get off me, will ya?" Sharik said. "Oopsie, sorry bout that!" Fortuna replied, giggling. Then she cheered, "Yay! I won!" She said. Then, Fortuna turned to Sharik and Cain, "Congrats you guys, you did you're best!" "I made it out all right, didn't I?"Fortuna said, she then had her legs in the air and kicked happily like she won a billion dollars. "How did you do that?" asked Sharik, referring to her abilities.
Fortuna stopped bouncing and sat up. "Uh, I'm Spider Girl? Catwoman?" She lied. Sharik glared at her, but he looked blushing in the face as he looks at her breasts shyly. Fortuna turned around to see Sharik's annoyed face. "Fine, I was subjected as an experiment to become an invincible hunter." admitted Fortuna. "Liar." Sharik snapped.
"What? It's true. But...." Fortuna started to say but Sharik seem irritated, "You're hiding something all right, and I really am annoyed at how much of a damn priss you are and being all mysterious." Sharik said. Fortuna begin to look huffy, "Well, it shouldn't be my problem that other people cannot seem to agree with me. Hell! It's my life if I should be allow to live as I see fit. More than the usual need to succeed. It is not nobody else's business to tell me what I want to do. As I stated before, it's my life! No one can stop me from doing what I want to do. People have been judging me, discussing about my problems in an irrelevant manner. I warn them to not be concerning around me of what I do. Leave me be! I can handle this on my own, without criticism." She ranted. "Argghh, do you ever shut up? I mean, what do you want out of life? You might as well as been unnoticed and just pretend you're all that when you're not!" Sharik demanded. Fortuna was quiet before turning to him with sad, doe-like eyes. "Is having an unnoticed life okay with you?" asked Fortuna. "Wha--What?" Sharik questioned, his face softened at her ingenue self. Fortuna got off the swings and looked at him, "Do I need to pretend I am something that I'm not? Do I need to pose to all the people who have ever doubted me? Once all your dreams come true and you get the fame you desired, you’re left alone with your riches, totally unfulfilled." She said. She looks up smiling a little, "A girl's life is not as wonderful as she imagines, I believe it's stereotypical. It's exaggerating with romance and passion so fame is blamed."
"Let's be real, This is a place that everyone wants to be in right? I am so obsessed with it. How could I? It's so glamorous here!" Fortuna squealed, "How amazing! How many wonderful creatures there are here! Mankind is so beautiful! Oh, what a wonderful new world, that has such people in it!" Sharik glanced at her, "It’s new to you." He remarked. "Oh yeah!" agreed Fortuna, she then begin to giggle insanely. While asleep; Cain had a dream: It was a raining day, where people are holding umbrellas. Both Sharik and Cain sitting behind the fence. While everyone on the other side of the fence look at both boys with having a lack of emotion, it then cuts to both of them banging and hitting the fence to be let out. Both of the boys coming closer together, and eventually near the finishing of the second chorus, they kiss each other passionately, with the public looking at this with a poker face expression. Cain woke up, stunt at this. Later, Fortuna in a T shirt with shorts and she looked cute so much that Sharik was feeling 'funny' around her as he can feel himself amorous. Ace glares at Fortuna, who had nice legs and a beautiful body which made him think that she was trying to seduce Sharik but that wasn't it at all. "I don't believe this! You mean you boys used to be best friends? Wow, that's....that's why you guys hate each other's guts because of the fact was someone did something to the other." She was lying on the bed of her room at a hotel as she was talking to Sharik and Cain later on.
Sharik looked over at the smug Cain and said, "Yeah, that bastard..." "You sure know how to put the hurt in someone else don't you Sharik?" taunted Cain. "I can never forgive you for calling me by that name, Jack of all stats." barked Sharik. Fortuna sat up as she looked at them with surprise, "Boys, boys. You're both pretty." remarked Fortuna, she laughed. And then she said, "Forgiveness is divine. Kiss and make up." "I ain't kissing him!" Sharik protested. "Forget that. In my dreams, I already did." said Cain. Sharik looked at him with surprise. "Wait a second! Did you had a steamy, homo dream about me? About us?" He asked. Cain glares at him, "Can it!" He snapped. Sharik glared at him. "You bastard. It's a dirty secret that you would stargaze about me. You knew it was wrong but you didn't mind, you were going to start sh.." He ranted. "Shut your mouth!" exclaimed Cain. Fortuna let out a gaspy sounding spasm, "This is so engaging, boys. I feel so...mmmph!" Then she noticed their weird faces and giggled, "Whoops!" "What kind of girl are you?" Sharik demanded. Fortuna beamed at him, "One of a kind!" Fortuna looked around to see the colors in the air as she danced around, feeling magic in the air of how beautiful this place. However, she was daydreaming so much that she didn't watch where she was going. Because she bumped into someone else: "Aaah!" The person said. "Yipe!" Fortuna yelped. Fortuna and the other person stumbled down as Fortuna yelps, "Good Lor--Whoa!" Down, down they went but Fortuna uses her powers to save her and the person she is tumbling with.
"Hey, pal! What the hell?" Fortuna demanded. "Sorry about that." The person said. He was a cutie, Fortuna felt like a jerk to this totally attractive guy with glasses, which he was adjusting. "Hello...It's OK. I'm fine, it's no big deal." Fortuna apologized. "You serious?" asked the guy asked. "Yeah, my bad. And I'm dead serious." confirmed Fortuna. "Fascinating." The guy complimented. Fortuna smiled, The guy realized he forgot to introduced himself. "Oh, sorry. Hermes Belenus." He introduced. Fortuna shake his hand, "Fortuna Alektor." She said. But soon she was attacked and kidnapped by a bunch of disfigured monsters. The next minute, Fortuna was chained from her wrists and feet. She looked miserable, being the damsel in distress sucks as she feels like this could be the end. That's when she could hear something, or something in here. "Hello?" Fortuna called but no one answered. However she saw a strange, familiar figure appeared. It was Hermes! "Well hello there, my pretty." He greeted. Fortuna was shocked to see him, "I--I--It's you!" She gasped. Hermes did some acrobatic movements before appearing at her. "Looks like someone bound you good." He said, looking at the chains. "Yeah, not so comfortable now, is it?" remarked Fortuna. "Actually, you look so good helpless. It makes me all weird inside...." said Hermes with a smirk. Fortuna groaned, "Don't start!" Hermes looked at her chest, Fortuna let out an 'ahem' but he was not listening. "Oh for the angel's sake, FO-CUS!!!!" exclaimed Fortuna. "You or your boobs?" Hermes asked cluelessly. "For heaven's sake, get me out of here!" said Fortuna.
"Fine, fine, I'll help you. Only because he asked me too!" said Hermes with a sigh. Fortuna looked at him, "'He'?" "Cain, you know him?" replied Hermes, shrugging. "Cain..." Fortuna is shocked. Fortuna and Hermes managed to escape from the prison however they were confronted by the those monsters. But Sharik came to aid, Fortuna was thrilled to see him. "Sharik!" She cried, she threw her arms around her. Sharik blushed as he felt the warmth embraced of this girl. "H--hey Fortuna." He greeted shyly. "What's a pretty thing like you doing here?" Ophelia said teasingly. "Um...The jerk off Cain got me here, what'd you think?" snapped Sharik, "And I wanted to save you." Fortuna smiled, touched, and embraced him further, "My pretty kitty." She whispered. "Hey, when you're done making out; get your asses over here!" Hermes called. Immediately, Fortuna lets Sharik go and they fight together. Later, Fortuna talks to Cain alone on the roof, "How did you know where I was?" asked Fortuna. "I have my ways by using the coordinates and bringing Sharik with me. And along the way, we meet that 'imp' Hermes. And he helped us with his sensory detecting abilities." Ace explained. "So, why'd you do it?" asked Fortuna. Cain flashed a glare at her, "You have no idea do you?" He snapped as he went over to her. He grasped her chin and pulled her close in a kiss. Fortuna's body pulsate, "Mmm..." She said muffled but she felt something lingering in her mouth that caressed the roof of it inside. "Oh..." She thought. Now, she felt a different sensation....Arousal. "Oh my God! I--I--" thought Ophelia, she pushed Cain away as blood spurt from her nose.
Fortuna panted, and panted, she clutched at her throat as she tried to catch her breath. "Oh...Wow...That was..." stammered Fortuna. "Did you like that? Hm?" said Cain smugly. "Um...I need to clean myself up, OK? I feel...oooh." said Fortuna. She left in a hurry as she closed the door and ran to the bathroom where she saw how much blood was running down her face. "Good God, have mercy." She muttered as she used a paper towel and soaked it with water while cleaning. That night; Fortuna somehow sleeping out in the open, without a blanket, She's shivering in her sleep, turning over in a really vulnerable way and clutching herself. Cain comes along, see her distress, and react to it by tenderly draping a blanket over her shoulders, petting her on the head, and saying, "Sleep tight, Fortuna." Freed from the discomfort, Fortuna faintly smiled in her sleep, she is grateful for the warmth. The next morning; Fortuna could hear an argument outside her room as she went to check it out. She saw Sharik standing over Cain, who was bloodied and bruised. "You son of a bitch, how dare you--!!! Are you trying to manipulate her?" Sharik shouted. "No...I...." Cain started to say but Fortuna stopped them. "What the hell?" She demanded. "Did this bastard kiss you?" Sharik enjoined. Fortuna looked down shamefully. "Y--yes..." She admitted. Sharik was about to hit Cain again. When someone stopped them both. Sharik and Cain were sprawled on the floor.
"Hey, Fortuna!" Sharik protested. "That wasn't me." claimed Fortuna. "Then who--?" Sharik started to ask when the three of them heard a voice from above, "Honestly, you guys are acting like children. Can't you get along for once in your life?" It was Hermes, standing in between them, "Come on, Sharik. Why do you care if she kissed who?" He asked. "Because.....You don't understand--" He said. "I do!" said a familiar voice. Ishtar and Eirene had just arrived, which shocked Fortuna and she is happy to see them. Once introductions went down; Fortuna talks to her friends about Sharik and Cain in private: "Hard to believe you used to date them." Eirene noted. Fortuna gave her a friend a look, "Date them? Are you trying to female victim blaming me?" She asked. Eirene looked at her shocked, "No, no, no!" She exclaimed. Ishtar looked out at Cain and Sharik as she whispered, "Why did you dump Cain? He's hot." "Not as hot as Sharik." Eirene rasped back. But a familiar voice bellowed out, "FORTUNA!!!! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!" Fortuna jumps, she turns around to see the humorous glare from his little brother Axel and an amused Hermes comforting him. "Axel? Hermes? What's up homies?" greeted Fortuna. "Axel's gonna kill you for saying that." Camilla whispered. "DON'T START THAT WITH ME MISSY!!!!" said Axel. "Listen up, we are on a mission to find Laran and it looks like my sister is going to be part of some auction." The auction was just simply of a way to beat up some perverts and assaulters. Fortuna was chosen to be the Chasity Maiden. But Fortuna was there as she was being harassed for her purity. One of the men flirts with Fortuna, who is uncomfortable, as she tried to push him away but then the man becomes violent as he tries to cut her. Just then, Fortuna came out of nowhere as he shoves him off Fortuna and then begins to physically assaults the guy, first punching him in the back of her head before pushing him through the glass top of a booth.
Sharik strangles him however he is able to break free, escaping. Just then, he hears something and turns around, Cain shoots him in the head, causing him to be splattered on the wall. "Ew, nasty." said Fortuna. She giggles as she said to him how much fun that was. Fortuna and the boys escaped from a mission successful. At another hotel. Cain looked out at the starry night from the window and glanced at the sleeping Fortuna. "You are a piece of work, aren't you Fortuna?" He said softly. Then he said in an aggressive tone that he never spoke of before, "Womanchild." He thought back of Fortuna's fun nature. "Manic Pixie. You are nuisance." said Cain. However, Cain begin to sound passive as he sits beside Fortuna, who was still sleeping soundly. "Why do torment me? Why can't I stop thinking about you, Sharik?" He glanced over at Fortuna again, "I think of her too also, I think of you both." said Cain. He then begin to caress her forehead, "This girl, why do I have this feeling in my chest that feels warm? I never wanted to liker her anyway." He ranted mindlessly. He continues as his hand caress her soft skin of her arm and her neck, "Sharik, I'm sorry....I shouldn't have beguiled her with that passionate kiss. I caused a bloody mess. You will be mine, Sharik, whether you like it or not. And Fortuna? Just so we're clear, Sharik is mine but...please love me, or I'll slit my own skin." The next day, Sharik was lying in his bed but he felt someone beside him. He awoke as he turned to see Fortuna looking over at him. "Aaah!" cried Sharik. He panted as he glared up at Fortuna, who giggled. "The hell?!" demanded Sharik. "Morning sleepyhead!" said Fortuna. "Augh! Scared the hell out of me! What do you want?" groaned Sharik. Fortuna caresses his hair, "Just coming to see how Sharik is doing." She smiles, "You're a lying jerkass with a heart of gold who won't admit his true feelings." She said.
"Shut up, you prig!" Sharik cursed. Fortuna then looked fierce, she then said in a sassy tone: "Say that again, I dare you!" She demanded. "OK, OK. I'm sorry, now can you leave?" Sharik apologized. Fortuna looked at him and said, "Not until you do me a favor." Sharik rolled his eyes, "What?" He snapped. "A kiss." Fortuna replied. Sharik sighs, "Fine, your cheek." He said. Fortuna shook her head, "Mmm-mm, the lips." She said. Sharik blushed as he looked shock, "You gotta be--ugh!" He moaned. Fortuna looked at him pleadingly, "Pleasssssssseeee!" She begged. Sharik rolled his eyes, he deeply sighed and then looked at her, "Just one?" He asked. Fortuna looked at him with a seductive look, "Yeah, unless you want more." She said, licking her lips. Sharik yelped, "Augh!" He ducks under his covers and tried to convince himself that he can do it. And he peeks out, he then closed his eyes and leaned over at Fortuna. Their lips met, in a kiss. He realized what he's doing and backs away. "Oh crap, oh crap!" He thought, "I kissed a girl! I kissed a girl on her rosebud lips! Oh shit...It just got real!" Fortuna cheered, "Yay!" Sharik glared back at her, "Never. Again." He warned. "Oh, you know you like it." teased Fortuna, she pumps her fists as she twirled around. Sharik watched with annoyance on his face but laughs a little, "Damn, she's friggin' pretty." He remarked. Cain watched Fortuna fluttered away as he looked on with jealousy, he had seen Sharik and Fortuna kissed. He had walked in on them and was shocked by this. On that night, Cain got drunk at a bar and walked back to his hotel.
Cain was so drunk that Sharik noticed and helped him to bed but noticed Cain was drapped onto Sharik's shoulder and Sharik had to look at him to ask if he was OK. Ace looked at him for one moment and kissed him right on the lips. Sharik was shocked but then he pushed him away and gagged. "The hell just happened?!" Sharik demanded, he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. He was disgusted by this. "What? I was given into temptation Shaik...." Cain insisted, Sharik pushed him away and cried out: "No, don't. You stay the hell away from me!" He went away as Cain called out, "I wasn't trying to start shit, I was curious." Sharik was in his room, Fortuna was writing but she had a grin on her face. "You saw it?" Sharik asked, annoyed as it seemed. "All I gotta say about that is one word: Hot." said Fortuna. "Shut up." Sharik hissed. Fortuna laughed a little. She was amazed with the results: "I found him....." said Fortuna in a sing song tone. Ishtar looks at him with squinty eyes before saying, "This is about Loki? Oh geez....He's a--" Eirene stops her, shaking her head. "Oh this is perfect....Ha." Fortuna said, giggling like a lunatic. She giggled and giggled as Axel's eyes bulged in horror before he remarked, "Stop giggling that way, you sound creepy." Axel commented. Fortuna beamed happily, "Just look at how they describe him, he sounds awesome...." She said. Eirene looks at her, "'Awesome' is not the correct word for him." She said.
Fortuna was walking down the street however while she was walking, two guys appeared. They looked thuggish as they blocked their path. "Hey sweetie, where do you think yo' going?" One of them said. "Um, I don't know. Here?" Fortuna replied. "Sorry, this is the boss's territory." said the lackey. "Who says it's his territory? Can anyone walk here?" asked Fortuna. One of the lackeys looked at her chest, Fortuna stamped her foot and said: "Hey! I'm talking to you, asshole! My eyes are up here!" "Hey, sweetheart. Only boss makes the call whenever anyone can enter or not." said the other lackey. Now Fortuna was furious, she can't believe someone would take over and claim no is to pass this area. "Who does this boss think he is?" She thought and then she glared at the two viciously. "Where is your boss then? I need to speak with him right this minute!" behest Fortuna. "Yeah...." said one of the guys, he looked at Fortuna's chest and remarked, "You're not so much of a blonde kitty yourself." Fortuna blushed, she crossed her arms. "Kitty? Blonde?" She said with fury. The other two regret that when they saw her face, "Oops." They said. Then, they ran away as Fortuna chased them fiercely. "I'M GONNA KILL YOU, AND SMOTHER YOU!!!!" She cried. "OH MAN!!!" One of them cried. "CEASE! DESIST!" said the other. "I'M GONNA PUT YOU BOTH SIX FEET UNDERNEATH, THEN DIG YOU OUT AND DUPLICATE YOU TWO AND KILL ALL OF YOUR CLONES!!!!" ranted Fortuna.
"Get hold of yourself!" said one of the guys. "Retrain, I say!" cried the other. Someone grabbed her by her arms, holding her back while saying: "Hold it." "No, let go of me! I'll skin you alive, I bet this so called boss of yours is a Head Honcho! An obese, perverted loser of this cesspool!" She screamed. "What's so funny?!" demanded Fortuna. One of them managed to speak, "Uh, do you want to know where our boss is?" "Where?!" Fortuna cried. The other ducked his head and pointed, "He's right behind you." Fortuna's face fell. "Say wha--?" She started to say but she turned and saw some silvery blue haired guy. "AAAHHH!" She freaked out and flopped to the ground, feigned a faint. The silver blue haired guy glared at one of the lackeys, he hits him over the head. "Now you've done it." said the silver guy. "Sorry boss." said the lackey. Fortuna was still as a doll, she felt like screaming again. "Wow-wee!" She thought, "He's hot!" But then she thought for a moment. "Wait, that's Loki Kitsune?!" wondered Fortuna. She denied it, "It can't be..." thought Fortuna. She decided to peek out and there he was staring down at her, "It is him." Her thoughts cried, she laid down in another feign faint. A few minutes later; Fortuna just woke up as she saw the lackeys in the room, she glares at them. The lackeys grinned nervously, "Hi." They said. "Where's your boss?" asked Fortuna, "Not that I care but I want to know where he is." "What? So you can scream like a maniac?" remarked the other lackey. Fortuna glares at him, "No. I felt bad for insulting him. I mean, I feel idiot." She protested. "It shouldn’t be our problem that your feelings for the boss is so strong." remarked the lackeys.
Fortuna scoffs at this and then she replied with sarcasm in her voice, "Oh, I got a 'thing' for him. Yeah, sure. Right. I'm one of those girls who love bad boys." The lackeys smiled with nervousness for a weird reason. Fortuna continued to rant with sarcasm, "Loki's smoking, he's cool which is so weird to say." She sounded like a valley girl but remain her dryness in her voice, "Listen, like in hell I have some sort hots for him. He's not someone I'd go crazy for--" "Fortuna?" one of the lackeys said. Fortuna sighed and gave him a look, "What?" She snapped. "He's standing behind you again." said the lackey. Fortuna turned around and she saw Loki looking at her funny, it looked sort of smug. Fortuna growled in anger and her hands twitched like she's prepared to choke someone. She lets out an anger yell, "Auuuuugggghhhh!" She flops back on the bed. Loki looked at her confused, "Weird." He muttered. Fortuna's eyes bulged out, she tensed and point a finger at Loki's men, rasping to them: "Not one word!" The lackeys nodded, "Gotcha." They said and left the room. But before Loki left; he said, "You know some things? Smart girl but I don't think you got brawn don't ya?" chaffed Loki, "You're just a prissy girl who just doesn't like getting her nails broken. I know if you are able to fight--Let a real man show you how." He left with a small snickered with his boys laughing along with him. And they were gone. But Fortuna was furious, she clenched her teeth so hard that it gritted. "Prissy? Just a girl?" She thought. Then she exclaimed, "That's it!!!! NOW I'M PISSED!!!!!" She marched away to strip off her long sleeved top to reveal a sleeveless tank. She put on an arm wrap around both of her upper arms and loaded her gun to kill some zombies.
Loki was fighting while his lackeys cheered for him but now Loki was surrounded by so many that it was too overwhelming. He didn't know he was going to get out of this mess. One zombie crashed down. It was swaying back and forth like crazy before it passed out. The zombie looked up as it saw Fortuna, who looked down at him, saying: "Now you know how I feel, bub." She put a gun to his head and then shoves his corpse so hard to the others who fell sideways--Much to Loki's surprise. He was shocked to see an enraged Fortuna exclaiming like a bansee: "That was for calling me 'prissy'!" Then she took her gun and shot at the zombies that were coming from above and falling like flies. "And that's for saying I was a girl to fight!" Fortuna bellowed. A zombie tried to sneak attack her, but Fortuna knocked him with her fist without turning around. She took the lifeless body and threw at Loki's lackeys, who fell down in a heap. Fortuna twirled her gun and tucked it back in its case. "And THAT'S FOR YOUR PERVERY LACKEYS!!!!!" She cried out. "Did you have to go and yell like that?" One of the lackeys asked. "I can make you deaf if you prefer, want that?!" proclaim Fortuna, her eye was twitching but she looked like she calmed down. However; Fortuna laughs cynically and weakly, "So let me see if I got this right....." She said. Then she looks at Loki with a glare, "I'm a prissy, girlie girl who is afraid I'll break a nail? Hello, did you see me whoop those guys asses? What? Is that not good enough for ya, brotha? Are you satisfied? are you blind as a bat? Or are you just a sexist?" She ranted.
Loki smirks, amused at her anger. "Oh no, I see how it is and I am NOT going to accept that." Fortuna storms over to him as she continued to fulminate, "I'M HERE TO SAVE YOU SO SHUT UP!!!!!!!!" The lackeys screamed like girls and hid, Loki was amazed by this. He turns to Fortuna, "You just scared my boys with your....guts...." said Loki. "My brother doesn't call me Miss Sass-a-Phrass for nothing, PAL!!!!" said Fortuna with a sassy tone. Loki looked surprised, not scared at all, then he smirks. "Funny." was his response and walks away. Fortuna looked at him in disbelief, "What? You should be scared!" She cried, following him. He let out a low chuckle, "I don't do fear." said Loki. Fortuna gave him a weird look, "Oh come on!!!! The scary ones are afraid too!" She protested. Loki turned to her, "Well that doesn't scare me at all." He stopped smiling, "I do have one fear...." He said. Fortuna looks at him with disbelief, "Like what?" She asked. "Rejection." replied Loki. "Really? From what? Your family? Friends?" inquired Fortuna. "I don't want to talk about family." replied Loki. He walked away but turns back and says to her, "There is one thing though. There's this son of a bitch name Chernobog and he is being overthrown by me. But there's something you need to know...." Fortuna looks at him, "What?" She asked. Loki leaned over at her swiftly and said, "Leave the bastard to me!"
"Gotcha." replied Fortuna. Loki left, Fortuna was paralyzed for a moment before squealing: "This is awesome, he's so cool!" But Fortuna wonders about Chernobog, so she researches on him and then she learns that he is the scientist and creator of the zombies. Fortuna is amazed by this, she decides to find out more about this. Fortuna got the rifle ready and calls out, "I took down your zombies, Acrisius. Now it's just you and me. So why not come out and fight girl to freak-show?" She sneaks around as she prepares for him but she felt her heart beating like crazy. However, Chernobog has been sneaking up and surprises Fortuna with his attacks. Fortuna fought back with her fully awakened powers, she fought back and had the upper hand of this battle. But the tables are turned, Chernobog is getting better but it isn't until her friends, her little brother and the heroes--Sharik, Cain, Hermes, and Loki. Together, Fortuna and her new team takes down Chernobog for good. It turns out that Chernobog is related to Loki, being his abusive father. Fortuna decided to let him kill him. Chernobog begs for mercy but Loki refuses to listen and takes his life. Fortuna wake up gasping, realizing it was all a dream. She panted of breath, "Wow." said Fortuna. Her friends, who were waiting for her to wake up, asking if she's OK. Fortuna sat up, "I had the most awesome dream!" And told them about it.
While she tries to think of more ideas; Fortuna created female warriors. They were known as Neo Amazons: Minerva, Hestia, Freya, Tamar, Draupi, Hippolyta and their leader--Artemis. She smiled, thinking about her dream. She looked at her manga cover but for a moment, she thought she saw Sharik smirks at her right before her eyes! Fortuna is amazed, wondering if it was all a dream.......
