Uncanny Shipping: Gundam Wing and Sucker Punch

This is the most cringest matchmaking shipping article I ever came up with...HOLY SHIT, this is what I came up with! Please forgive me if this is too cringe worthy. But there are something about Gundam Wing and Sucker Punch that go great together. I know the girls from Sucker Punch are in their 20s while the boys from the Gundam Wing are 15-16 years old but if we could change that, it might work. Please enjoy! --KatDon

Gundam Wing: In the distant future, Mankind has colonized space, with clusters of space colonies at each of the five Earth-Moon Lagrange points. Down on the Earth, the nations have come together to form the United Earth Sphere Alliance. This Alliance oppresses the colonies with its vast military might. The colonies wishing to be free, join together in a movement headed by the pacifist Hero Yuy. In the year After Colony 175, Yuy is shot dead by an assassin, forcing the colonies to search for other paths to peace. The assassination prompts five disaffected scientists from the Organization of the Zodiac, more commonly referred to as OZ, to turn rogue upon the completion of the mobile suit prototype Tallgeese. The story of Gundam Wing begins in the year After Colony 195, with the start of "Operation Meteor": the scientists' plan for revenge against OZ. The operation involves five teenage boys, who have each been chosen and trained by each of the five scientists, then sent to Earth independently in extremely advanced mobile suits (one designed by each of the scientists) known as "Gundams" (called such because they are constructed from a rare and astonishingly durable material called Gundanium alloy, which can only be created in outer space). Each Gundam is sent from a different colony, and the pilots are initially unaware of each other's existence. The series focuses primarily on the five Gundam pilots: Heero Yuy (an alias, not to be confused with the martyred pacifist), Duo Maxwell, Trowa Barton, Quatre Raberba Winner and Chang Wufei. Their mission is to use their Gundams to attack OZ directly, in order to rid the Alliance of its weapons and free the colonies from its oppressive rule. The series also focuses on Relena Peacecraft, heir to the pacifist Sanc Kingdom, who starts off as a seemingly ordinary girl until she gets caught up in the conflict between OZ and the Gundams, becoming an important political ally to the Gundam pilots (particularly Heero) in the process.

Sucker Punch: A young girl (Baby Doll) is locked away in a mental asylum by her abusive stepfather where she will undergo a lobotomy in five days' time. Faced with unimaginable odds, she retreats to a fantastical world in her imagination where she and four other female inmates at the asylum, plot to escape the facility. The lines between reality and fantasy blur as Baby Doll and her four companions, as well as a mysterious guide, fight to retrieve the five items they need that will allow them to break free from their captors before it's too late...

OK....here's the craziest shit case of shipping! I came up with the most deranged shipping ever! DON'T HATE ME!!!! All rightie, here we go.....

Heero Yuy: The protagonist of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, and the pilot of the XXXG-01W Wing Gundam and (later) the XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero. During the series, very little of his past is revealed, although the prequel manga Episode Zero revealed that he was once a nameless protégé of the assassin Odin Lowe until the assassin's death during a failed mission. Shortly thereafter, the nameless boy was taken in by Doctor J and trained as a Gundam pilot. At the onset of Operation Meteor, Doctor J gave him the code name "Heero Yuy" after the martyred leader of the space colonies. Although he speaks in a monotone voice and appears cold, reckless and emotionless, those close to him believe Heero is actually a very kind-hearted young man who sympathizes with the oppressed colony citizens. Though his true feelings for Relena are never fully explained in the series, he has vowed to protect her from any danger (even though, ironically enough, he originally threatened to kill her when she learned of his mission).

BabyDoll: Even in her darkest moments of despair, the idealistic Babydoll never loses her perspective on right and wrong. She may seem like a fragile and naive little schoolgirl, but her enemies underestimate her at their own peril. This prized pupil quickly master her Japenese short sword and 45 automatic to become incredibly powerful - perhaps even invincible. Babydoll exudes just the right combination of quiet intensity and transcedent vulnerability. Babydoll is trying to hide from the pain and guilt caused by her evil stepfather and the deaths of her mother and sister. Imprisoned in a suspicious mental institution, she retreats into her mind and imagines a fantasy world where the lines between dream and reality begin to blur. She thinks up an escape plan, demonstrating leadership and quick-thinking qualities.

Why would they be a GREAT COUPLE? OK, Heero is cold and distant while BabyDoll is trying to escaped the guilt and pain. But they are both are badasses who could hold off on their own. BabyDoll is flawed but could see that Heero is more than just flawed and could bond with him very well. But still, would you guys think this is unhealthy?

Here's the next one!!!! This shipping is good...

Duo Maxwell: The pilot of the XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe and the XXXG-01D2 Gundam Deathscythe Hell. He is cheerful, amicable and goofy, but this is a front to cover up his tragic past. In "Episode Zero", it was revealed that he chose his name to commemorate a boy he admired named Solo; they had been part of a street gang together. Solo had told the young Duo that they would always be together, but Solo later died from a disease that swept the colony. Duo took his last name from the Maxwell Church, a home for war orphans run by Father Maxwell and Sister Helen, a Catholic priest and nun. He lived in the church until it was destroyed during an Alliance attack, in what became known as "the Maxwell Church Massacre". Duo was the only survivor because he was not there during the attack; he had gone to steal a mobile suit from a nearby military base to drive out a group of Colony rebels hiding in the church. Mementos of Duo's lost loved ones are his distinctive 3-foot braid (a reminder of Sister Helen, who carefully braided his long hair as a child) and the priest's clothes that he usually wears. He refers to himself as Shinigami because anyone who gets close to him eventually dies.

Rocket: Rocket, Sweet Pea's younger sister, ran away from home because she kept arguing with her parents, and Sweet Pea decided to follow in order to protect Rocket. The rebellious Rocket has a heart that is wide open despite being bruised. On the battlefield she is the most eager combntant, charging into battle with a gleam in her eye and a smile on her lips. In fact, her overzealousness in the WWI scenario almost got her killed. Rocket is also the most emotional and empathetic of the girls, quickly taking newcomer Babydoll under her wing. When Babydoll first entered Lennox House, Rocket was charged with showing her around. Becoming Babydoll's first friend, Rocket plays a major role in the film, eagerly helping with Babydoll's plan to escape by accompanying her on all of her missions.

People might wonder....Why would they be a GREAT COUPLE? OK, you can tell Duo is an easy going guy--the same with Rocket. Both aren't so scared of anything! I think those two are meant for each other: They both have in common is that they were both nice to the protagonists and then they are daring people. Pretty cool huh?

Trowa Barton: The pilot of the XXXG-01H Gundam Heavyarms; he is also known as "Nanashi" (名なし, "No-Name"). Trowa is a stoic young man who has spent almost his entire life on the battlefield. Reserved by nature, he can be seen to be as emotionless like Heero, but is in fact a warm-hearted person who is very protective of those he cares about. Nanashi took the name "Trowa Barton" after the real one (the son of Dekim Barton) was shot and killed by the assistant of Doktor S, the creator of Gundam Heavyarms, when they were unwilling to proceed with Operation Meteor. Besides being a Gundam pilot, Trowa is also an accomplished acrobat, which serves him well in his cover identity as a clown in a travelling circus. Trowa is assumed to be Triton Bloom, Catherine Bloom's long-lost brother that was believed to have died years ago as an infant.

Amber: Amber is a main character. Amber is the pilot of the group in the fantasy realm. She is much more empathetic than the other girls. She is a capable fighter and has rescued the girls more than once. Amber, the fierce pilot of Babydoll's team of fantasy warriors, can do some serious damage to foes when she's behind the stick. Whether she's in a helicopter or a giant suit of mechanized armor, Amber can - and will - level any enemy in her path. Amber is the sweetest of all the girls as she felt "sorry" for Babydoll when they first met in the dance studio at Lennox House. This leads to the other girls saying, "You feel sorry for everyone Amber; no one felt sorry for you."

WHAT THE HELL?! Amber is the sweetest and Trowa is a quiet guy....But this could work. I mean, I could've shipped Amber with Quatre because they both are nice however Trowa deserves a sweetheart like Amber, she could be the emotional comfort for Trowa's pain. Trowa, seriously, this girl could be the one.

Quatre Raberba Winner: The pilot of the XXXG-01SR Gundam Sandrock, as well as the heir to a major space mining company known as the Winner Corporation. Quatre is a very kind young man who loves animals, and is the greatest believer in pacifism of the five Gundam pilots. He has twenty-nine older sisters that were all test tube babies (according to the Episode Zero manga) due to the numerous problems experienced in natural pregnancy during the colonists' first arrival in space created the need for test-tube babies until a cure was developed. Everyone was then able to produce children naturally sans the Winner family due to their living in space since the colonies' creation. Quatre's mother desperately wanted to bear at least one child naturally and so she did though it cost her life. Quatre was never informed that he was the only child who was born naturally, and thus had a cold, angry demeanor for a long time (due to feeling that he and his sisters were just pawns created by his father to benefit the Corporation and that they could all be replaced at any time). Quatre is a natural leader as he leads a group of middle-eastern fighters known as the Maganac Corps (who are all test-tube babies themselves). The Maganacs have accepted Quatre as their leader as (in Episode Zero) Quatre saved their leader Rashid's life when Quatre flushed out a traitor within the Maganac ranks. Quatre was then given his goggles by Rashid as a symbol of the leader of the Maganacs. The Maganacs also taught Quatre to have pride in himself, no matter where he came from, and the young man's kind, gentle nature arose from that understanding. Despite being a pacifist, Quatre sees the Gundams as a necessary evil, which has strained his relationship with his father, who followed the path of absolute pacifism prior to his death. Toward the end of the series, Heero turns leadership of the Gundam Team over to Quatre. Although Newtypes are not referenced in the Gundam Wing universe, Quatre seems to sense the "Heart of Space".

Blondie: Blondie is the "tough girl" of the group, projecting confidence and looking at the others with an air of suspicion. In the brothel reality, she is slower than the other girls to warm up to newcomer Babydoll, snidely remarking and dissing the more emotional Amber for feeling sympathy for the new girl. Still, once Babydoll pitched her escape plan, Blondie quickly signed aboard, accompanying the girls on two missions and proving herself a formidable fighter. However, despite her tough shell, Blondie proved to be the weak link in the group, cracking under the pressure of keeping the secret of the escape plan from Blue's questioning.

This. Is. The Most. Weirdest Shipping. Ever! Blondie is tough while Quatre is Mr. Peace Maker. However, I think Quatre needs to be tough on some levels. Blondie may learn to be a softie and take some lessons on being nice from Quatre. But both will be like to each other like honey and milk, wine to grape juice, blood to water....Shit, I think it could work.

Chang Wufei: The pilot of the XXXG-01S Shenlong Gundam and the XXXG-01S2 Altron Gundam; he constantly refers to both incarnations as the deity "Nataku" of whom his late wife Meilan modelled herself after. Wufei is a fierce warrior descended from a long, proud line of Chinese warriors and thus despises weakness in character and body. As evidenced in Episode Zero, when he was younger he was calmer and much more cerebral, but his unwillingness to fight resulted in the death of his wife Meilan, a strong girl who took the responsibility of protecting the colony (as well as Shenlong Gundam) onto herself and was killed in battle. Wufei then chose to carry out her path of justice in honor of her sacrifice. Wufei looks down on those who he deems weak and cowardly. Although Wufei preferred to fight alone, he eventually realized that he needed to team up with the other Gundam pilots to accomplish his goals.

Sweet Pea: Sweet Pea is Rocket's older sister. She followed Rocket when she ran away from home and ended up at Lennox House. Being protective of Rocket by helping with another object. Sweet Pea is protective by nature, and is understandably wary of risking everything in a fight against the system. She is a bit bossy and controlling, but loves her little sister more than anything. A strong, imposing warrior, she is prepared to sacrifice herself for the safety of others.

Well, this could work! No sarcasm involved. First time those two will be hostile at first but then Sweet Pea will learn Wufei is a kind hearted man. And Wufei will discover Sweet Pea is a broken woman trying to be level headed and he might help her out...Just a little. Haha!

OK, that's it. Hope you guys like it and I hope it wasn't cringe worthy! It's just for fun but I could do more on other out of universe shipping. Thank you!
