Chapter 3: The Glory of Ten Powers

"This is your ship?" Pyramus asked. He, Thisbe, and Knutine were amazed to see the ship which they have been searching for in a forest of where it landed. It was in good condition surprisingly for a ship to survive. Normal ships would most likely be in pieces after a crash. "Yeah, a beau ain't she? It's called the Iron Mountain. My, my, what a wonderful ship and it flies in the sky. Not on the sea." explained Patroklos. Knutine was so happy, she had never seen anything like it before. "Wow. Can we ride it?" She asked, looking at her foster parents. Pyramus and Thisbe look at each other before nodding. "Yeah. Where do we go from there?" Pyramus asked. "You'll see a whole new world." Jeremiah said. "Ooooh!" said Knutine, her eyes sparkled with joy and excitement. Jeremiah turned to them, "So, all aboard? Setting forth, mates?" He asked. "Let's set for sail, brother." announced Patroklos. Tiermes was still facing Nuada but after seeing the Iron Mountain; he finds himself floating to it. This shocks him as he has no idea what the heck was going on. Hagen, Iktomi and Glen also saw the ship as they followed it, gliding in the air. The next world that they went to is known as Chryse. There is a boy name Tobit is a painfully shy and quiet boy who is slightly overweight and has flat mousy hair. He is a bullied young man who is about 16 years of age.

High school. Don't you hate it? The students picking on you, they don't leave you alone. But that wasn't the only problem, Tobit also has parents that never really liked him except one: It was his kind, motherly teacher name Miss Rien. One day, Tobit came home upset from being humiliated. While in the bathroom after he took a shower; Tobit is looking at his reflection and reliving the fact that school ended in disaster. He is also upset about his family not noticing because it makes things worse because he is not  ‘perfect’. he’s questioning whether being someone different is really his role to play in the world. Tobit realizes that if he were to be able to speak his mind all the time, he’d disgrace his friends and they’d be ashamed. Tobit remembered that someone once said that reflections are meant to cast the character of objects. Therefore, he wants his reflection to portray his true character as a brave, strong, and powerful individual; she does not want his reflection to portray a vulnerable scapegoat who’s only role in life is to cower in fear. Nonetheless, Tobit does not know how to make the reflection in his mind become a reflection in reality. Things change when a girl name Sariah Rafaelo, who is 17 years old and beautiful. It all started like this, he was sitting at her desk, trying to focus on the lesson. His flat mousy hair was all she could feel between her fingers. Tobit was feeling on edge, the teacher rambled on and on. He felt bored and looked around the room to see a pretty girl staring at him. Tobit turned away but then out of curiosity, he turned back to see the girl, Sariah was still looking at her, he smiled at her. Tobit glanced away.

But before the bell rang, Tobit turns to Sariah who was staring at her. Her small smile grew into a wondrous grin. "Why is she staring at me? Why is she smiling at me?" Tobit thought. The bell rang, Tobit collected his things and rushed out of the room. However, he has been receiving weird dreams since his encounter with Sariah: The first was about him entering an elevator but on the elevator buttons, there was a rabbit on there. Curious, Tobit pressed it as she then suddenly felt the elevator going faster and twisting around and around. The second was while he wandered to a forest and saw a glowing well. Tobit peered in the well but then he lost his balance and fell into the well. And the third and last dream is he was taking a walk when he saw a whitish blue deer who runs away after Tobir saw it and he went after it. The deer sprinted faster, Tobit followed it, no matter how tired he was, he didn't stop until he found that deer. The deer went into a tunnel and Tobit followed it, disappearing into a vortex. Sariah is trying to reach through to him, no matter how scary life might be. This isn’t much comfort to Tobit though, who’s seen first hand on what he is not to anybody. But a voice in his head tells him: "Pure beauty in one hand and sure death in the other. Beware of Sariah—she is beautiful, powerful and yet dangerous." Tobit woke up but the next day, Sariah helps Tobit become a better person in his life into a world to reclaim his justice, this world is called Forsetiland. In Forsetiland; Tobit can find justice with the help of this mysterious girl. Sariah gives him some advice: Sariah advises Tobit that the real world is not what anyone credulously imagines it to be: it is frightening, it is horrible, and it is very dangerous.

Therefore, Tobit should be content with his surroundings on Forsetiland and what they have to offer, which are happiness, awe, and safety — the optimistic aspects of life. She tells him that being a bullied victim but in Forsetiland; it gets bad when Tobit is told that he and Sariah are about to face monsters in battle, so they need to start training. While in training; Tobit might be strong, but clearly needs to do more cardio. Evidently Tobit doesn’t hold his prospects for surviving very highly, he didn't do any lifting weights before. But he noticed that he is scared of the upcoming war because of all the vigorous training. However he's quite worried, he hopes she won’t see that he is in fact, a wimp, not brave. But he should have more cardio and Sariah seeing his weak performance as a warrior. Although Tobit loses hope, but by the end of the day he has prove capable of the seemingly impossible tasks he doubted. He learns that everyone must find its place in Forsetiland and in life of reality, no matter how much they suffer on the path. "You never have the chance to be happy if you focus on your struggles and let them ruin you. Silence can be very peaceful. As you end your relationship with your struggles and pain, you will find peace. Even though people might have not known the struggles you've been through they see you and have nothing positive to say, which makes you feel worthless." said Sariah. "They can take everything from you or say what they want about you. Treat you like you're weak and fragile, like glass that can be broken or paper that is easily torn. Let them do what they want to break you down, you will rise above the pain and fear! You will stand tall."

Later on, Patroklos woke up, lying on the bed and gets up from his bed. He learns of what's going on. He and Jeremiah learn what's going on as they went to look around but told Pyramus, Thisbe, and Knutine to stay--Much to their dismay. Not to mention their curiosity. While he explored around, Patroklos was curious so much that he didn't watch where he was going, he slammed into someone! "Oh hey--" Hee started to say but he saw that it was Tobit. He looked at him as he smiled at him, "Well hello there, lad." Patroklos said, surprised. Tobit felt really embarrassed by what just happened, "I'm sorry, I didn't know where I was going, I apologize!" stuttered Tobit. Patroklos was surprised as he comforted the boy, "It's fine." He answered. Tobit is touched by his smile, he sure was nice. But Patroklos begins to hear his thoughts in her mind. "Are you OK?" asked Tobit. "Uh, yes. Swishy really." said Patroklos quickly. "What's your name?" asked Tobit. "My name is Patroklos, what's yours?" answered Patroklos. "Tobit." said the young man. Patroklos nodded, "Yes...Do tell, Tobit. Are you a struggling lad with no place in this world?" He asked. Tobit looked at him with surprise, "How--How did you know?" He asked. Patroklos looked over at him and said with a smile, "I don't know. I guess my mind can read your mind." Patroklos replied. Tobit looked at him with dazed amazement, "OK. Let's talk this out." He finally said. Patroklos seemed intrigued, "'Ah, Us lads? Like friends, perhaps?" He asked. "I like to get to know you, Tobit. I really do." While talking to one another, they encounter Krimhild, who is Sariah's rival. She is sweet around Tobit as she requests if she can train with him. Tobit shyly accepts however Patroklos begins to grow suspicious. During training, Patroklos begins to see Krimhild's vulnerable, timid nature was just a ruse and she was a sadistic, aroused by suffering, and vows to make Tobit tremble as the three were emit to Forsetiland.

Krimhild tells Tobit that Sariah is having fun with her 'boytoy' but when she's done having fun; she is sure to leave him before he leaves her. Sariah is not getting so attached to someone who can walk out of her life. Because boys could do that to her exactly and leave her broken in the dust. She doesn't let her heart be easy to grab because it could be taken advantage of. She looks sweet and innocent so Tobit won't know what's coming for him. She wants to keep him wanted her, even if he could resist her anyways. "Boys will be boys, they always like a little adventure in a girl of a relationship. And then she told me about you, 'When I break your heart, you'll realize you've falling in love with me. Someone he has never really know.' Girls are being taken advantage of so easily. They don't know who to trust." explained Krimhild. Tobit is confused as he doesn't know what to do but Patroklos can see through this girl's lies. "You sure are a manipulative bastard, aren't you?" He said. Krimhild chuckles as she says that Tobit is her 'boytoy' too as she finds him 'cute' when he's helpless. Tobit was so angry as he tries to fight Krimhild, but she dodges him. It isn't long until Sariah arrives but Tobit is so angry and tried to hurt Sariah for being a pawn, "Is that all I was to you, Sariah? A 'boytoy'?!" exclaimed Tobit, "You liar, you lied to me! I hate you, I trusted you!" It was out of control but Sariah then walked over to him calmly, then embraced him warmly which seems to calm down. "I promises that my love will be easy, painless, and calming to the troubled past. You're just scared I'm just going to break your heart. I want to let you know that I want us to live in happiness." assured Sariah. Weeping tears of joy, Tobit felt better as he remembers her words echoing in his mind: "They can take everything from you or say what they want about you. Treat you like you're weak and fragile, like glass that can be broken or paper that is easily torn. Let them do what they want to break you down, you will rise above the pain and fear! You will stand tall."

Tobit turns to Krimhild and says, "You may take away my happiness and break me down. Sometimes I feel weak like glass or paper and people are gonna keep trying to hurt her but I will be fighting back to overcome these obstacles and be strong for myself. When I overcome; I will be tall and powerful like a skyscraper." He felt the power coursing from within as he continued to say, "Even if the world ends and we only have ten minutes to live and they’re the only ones in sight of each other, I won’t even knock that. Take all your crap and bullshit because I don’t want drama in your life! I seriously don’t care about you or how you made me go against Sariah!" After dealing with her talking and torment long enough, Tobit gives Krimhild a good sucker punch across her face! Later, Tobit and Sariah came to Iron Mountain, where they meet Pyramus, Thisbe, and Knutine. They were heading out until they went higher--where they found themselves in Carlisle on a floating island. Just then, they encountered with a new foe coming at them: "Die, you bastards!" Isko cried, attacking Patroklos and his friends. "What the--?" Tobit said. "Look out!" Pyramus and the others dodged it, however a fight breaks out until finally, a voice cries out: "Hold it!" They all stopped when they saw Patroklos and Samson. "What are you guys doing?" Cassandra asked. Isko looked at them, "Who are you guys?" He asked. "I'm Patroklos and this is my gang." introduced Patroklos, gesturing towards the others next to him. Isko sneered at the two, "What a bunch of freaks doing here?" He remarked. The others were offended, "FREAKS?!" The fight breaks out, Knutine stepped out of the way. She went towards Jeremiah. Patroklos stared at everyone fighting and rolled his eyes up to the ceiling, then he flexed out his hand and yelled, "Ciúin!" The others were lifted from the ground, Patroklos couldn't believe that he was the only doing this.

Then he drops them down safely, he sighed and smiled. "Now, tell me....who's the freak now?" asked Patroklos with a witty look on his face. The others stared up in amazement, "Wow...." They chorused. Patroklos and Jeremiah reunited with their friends however Krimhild confronted them until she is faced with Cassandra, who saves Patroklos and the others, "Hi there." said Cassandra, "Nice to meet you but you're going down." She uses her telekinesis to take down Krimhild and then sends her flying. Cassandra welcomes the newcomers however Patroklos noticed something was wrong. "What happened to you there?" asked Patroklos, pointed to the scars on her upper arms and thighs. Cassandra looks at them as she shrugs while trembling slightly, "Just a freak accident." She claimed. But it was no accident. Earlier before; Cassandra sought shelter in a cathedral and there she embraced the statue of Queen of Heaven in supplication for her protection, where she was abducted and brutally tortured by Lesser. She was clinging so tightly to the statue of the Maiden that Lesser knocked it over from its stand as he dragged her away. Brother 10 watched this in horror as anger burnt in their hearts. Then, they broke the rules and went down their to confront Lesser. Mimir watched this, he was amazed that Brother 10 would break the rules to help their friend. Later, Mimir did not punish anyone but since Brother 10 broke the rules, they were only given a second chance to not do it again nor were they treated special but some from Brother 10 didn't care if they broke the rules, they cared of their friend who was in trouble. In reality; The Wendigos broke her reverie as Cassandra and the rest team up to fight them however Patroklos had a burst of power within him that eliminated all of the creatures. Cassandra was shocked by what just happened and looked up at Patroklos. "You're safe now, lassie." assured Patroklos.

Cassandra stared at him for a moment before speaking. "You used your mind, didn't you?" asked Cassandra. Patroklos looked flabbergasted, "No I didn't." lied Patroklos with a smile. "No, I'm telling the truth! It was you, I know--Your thoughts, I know you are from Fortunate Isles!" claimed Cassandra. Patroklos stood there, he and his allies were shocked as Patroklos fled from the room. He ran to the nearest room, opened it and slammed it shut. He locked it, Patroklos panted, he leaned on the closed door. He couldn't believe what she just discovered. "I'm screwed." moaned Patroklos. Then he felt the door knocking and managed to stay quiet. But heard Cassandra's voice, "Patroklos...I know that you're still there. People have probably wondered why you didn’t even come out. I'm often told to be brave, even when it feels hopeless. I'm always been there for you." It sounded like the same thing that Brynhilde said to her once. It was really the sweetest thing that Patroklos has ever heard. Nobody, except his brother and his friends had cared about him. However, knowing what his powers can do to as he still tries to stay away while Cassandra tries him best to help Patroklos. She is trying to reach through to him, no matter how scary his powers might be. Patroklos then said, "Lassie. I don't want you to waste your time worrying about me. Instead go and be surrounded by people. I believe that you will be able to feel the warm feeling of happiness that I was not able to feel." Cassandra can hear his thoughts are in distressed: He is still not free from fear; he is still not free from what he believes is his power. Patroklos is not safe with her. He is afraid he will hurt someone as good and pure as her.

"Don't you wish for a better life? Your friends are resurrected. And your dad is anew. Your mother is living a happy life. You feel like being in Silver Branch never happened." Patroklos said. "No, this...This is not right." said Cassandra, fearful a little. "Come on, look around you. It's much better than here. No work, no trouble with Wendigos. Is this what you want?" Patroklos suggested. He took a deep breath as he can read more of her thoughts: "Your friends that you thought they were dead are here. The people that did that prom massacre never existed. And your father never abused you or your mother. He's a good man. And this is real, very much real." Cassandra thought for a moment about it, that would be nice as she nodded for a second. "So, what are you waiting for? Take the wheel, my dear." said Patroklos. Cassandra bowed her head as she thought for a moment again, "I never had a good life didn't I?" She finally said. However, Cass clenched her hand into a fist. "But I still had something back--My sanity." She cried. Then her telekinesis begin to make the doors crack as Patroklos can feel them as he begin to step back but he can hear Cassandra's voice: "Samson was a good person, he was kinder and believe in friendship. He was orphaned and raised by a kind woman. Justice was partial blind once but he was given an operation and had an amazing gift to see things that normal 20-20 vision. Echo had suffered of a hearing but he regained his hearing and can hear things from far away. Borvo was a fragile child as he was emotionally hurt so that's why he was hurt before. He gained water powers." The more she mentioned the names, the more the door continues to crack and crack. Brother 10 was touched by this as they continued to cheer for her. Patroklos felt his heart at its core begin to stir of a strange emotion. Cassandra continued, "Kamaitachi, Hanuman, Lleu, Proteus, Christopher--They suffered so many things. Family loss for Kamaitachi, regrets after arguments before deaths of loved ones for Hanuman, was not recognize for his smarts--Lleu. Christopher was bullied because he was too tall. Proteus was always a troubled kid but he had spirit. Never gave up. Zaden wanted to be stronger and he was a slave but he found his strength and was respected."

She took a breath before continuing once more: "Brynhilde, Elric, Ligeia, Tannhauser, Melusine, Thanatos, Trygve, Arcturus....And more importantly--Jack." She said. Crack, crack, crack went the door. Patroklos's heart felt like the strings were being pulled gently, his eyes watered a little and he trembled. "Countless soldiers that died fighting Revenants in his world. Just like flowers that are carelessly stepped on, the names of the soldiers that have been sent out to fight the Revenants are often unknown. They simply become numbers. Some just sit around wishing for something good to happen, but there's no effect. His government don’t respect the resolve humanity has to move on past deceased loved ones and keep on fighting. They thinks they are just pawns. They’re livestock, sitting there waiting for the next attack. They don’t fight back. These people are okay with that. They’re just complacent. These people think that they don’t want to have to fight back, so they rely on the thought that they’re safe and prospering as a society. Jack once taught me that you have to do something about the situation that you’re in, otherwise nothing will change. If you have the motivation to fight, you have the power to make a change. At least give the people the same respect you give dying animals. Let them have the freedom to fight back. Don’t force them to accept starvation. The horror and humiliation of the Revenants is what motivates Jack to fight. He said this to me, 'I am the hunter that slaughters my prey, Consumed with surging blood lust because of the anger. I begin to feed off of the blood the monsters shed, growing stronger with each kill that is successful. A hunter has no need for rest when the prey is upon them.'" Patroklos watched with tears in his eyes as the door cracked open and a glowing Cassandra reached out a hand as she said, "I have glory of ten powers. I have the strength of many allies and friends. And you are one of them."

Patroklos was filled with tears in his eyes. He nodded as he took Cassandra's hand. Jeremiah was also accepted by Eulalie, Iktomi is accepted in by Ariadne, Tiermes is accepted in from Turan and Norna, Hagen is accepted in from Melisande and Glen is accepted in by Juana. Even the mysterious Pythia was invited by Deirdre. And it looks like things are looking up for good. Meanwhile, there is a place within Carlisle in a place called Axis Mundi. While at their friend, Theodora's house; Ramman and Utu had a birthday present they wanted to present. They got out a table and draw something on the table before using the elements of solid, liquid, gas, and plasma. They created a music box but their childhood friend Theodora screamed because it looked inhuman from the looks of it. Theodora begin to cry while the brothers comfort her. Later, Ramman and Utu were outside as they waited to be punished. "Theodora, honey, they weren't trying to scare you. They were trying to do something special on your birthday." Theodora's parents said. "I'm sorry for this." said Baucis with chagrin, "This was a mistake. We'll give them a talking to about this." Philemon was so intrigued by what he was seeing, "A work of art." He mumbled. Baucis looked at her husband, "Philemon?" She asked. "Baucis, punishing our boys for a piece of beautiful craftsmanship? Nonsense! It's amazing! Look at this work." said Philemon. Theodora's parents had to agree, "But I didn't know you teach them." said the father. Philemon shake his head, "I didn't. I think they might have went into my study." He admitted. On the way home; Baucis and Utu laughed as Philemon was reading the book. Philemon then asked his sons how did they know how to learn elemental alchemy. Ramman and Utu explain they learned it from the books in Philemon's study, whenever he's away somewhere on those 'trips' he goes to. Ramman looked up nervously, "Are you mad at us?" He asked. "Not at all." said Philemon, "I'm proud of you." "I am as well." agreed Baucis. "I think we should brag to everyone we know."

And so, Philemon let his sons in his study. Ramman and Utu took the opportunity to study from the books, Theodora started to hang out with them. When the trio hangs out, Utu sometimes gets in trouble with the bullies and Ramman & Theodora come to his rescue. Utu appreciates at them however he hates being rescued all the time. It was a nice to place to live but there was only one problem; the sun would set and everyone was quick to get back home. Ferocious monsters that feed on human blood and flesh, Wendigos they were called. Children and teenagers were forbidden to go out alone. Even adults weren't allowed to go out alone either. If anyone disobeyed, they will be killed by the Wendigos. And this is true, there's a lot crimes involving with the Wendigos. Ramman and Utu obeyed to these rules however Ramman wasn't sure if they were real or not. He wanted to know if they were real or not. Ramman sometimes likes to scare Utu about the Wendigos by leaning over and whispering, "Look Utu, there's one!" and Utu would jump and run. And Ramman would laugh. Finally Theodora turned on him. "If you want to know so badly," she said, "go into the city tonight to see those monsters." "Fine. I'll do it," said Ramman. "I walk out every day. Why would it be different at night? Tomorrow night I'll take my flashlight and walk out to town. If I get scared, I'll never make fun of Utu again." The next night Theodora went to the brothers' house to see him come out. When she arrived, the boys' father, who was the only one at home, was pleading with his sons not to go. "We're gonna be OK, Dad" he said. "There's nothing to be afraid of."

He took his flashlight and headed down towards town. While traveling there, Theodora and Utu wondered if Ramman was right. Maybe they were afraid of things that they never seen. Theodora and Utu followed him and see for themselves, but they stayed far behind in case he ran into trouble. The trio were standing in a circle of light, looking left and right. All of a sudden his flashlight burnt out. The three friends stood paralyzed in the gloaming, waiting for something awful to happen. Just then, something attacked Ramman and then there was a struggle between the creature, Ramman tried to get the monster off him however the beast seized his arm and bit him in his wrist. Ramman screamed, then he fainted from blood loss. Utu and Theodora were so scared as they couldn't believe what they just witnessed. The next minute Theodora was carrying Ramman who was alive but unconscious. "Please...Help us, He's dying of blood loss!" Theodora sobbed. Philemon recognized Theodora underneath all that mess of wet long hair. "Theodora? Is that you?" He asked. Ramman was unconscious however he needed an operation or he'll die. So Theodora and Utu helped out by giving their friend blood transfusions however they didn't know. After all they've been through, they were going to find their liberation and find a way to shatter themselves from the lives they live in.  During the attack of the Wendigos; Baucis stepped in and let herself take for the kill. "Mom! No!" cried Ramman. "Ramman, get out of here now!" exclaimed Baucis. "No, I'm not leaving you!" Ramman screamed. Before his mother could say anything else, she gets stabbed in the chest and Kali pulled them along as Ramman and Utu cried in fear, "Mooooommmmmm!!!!!!" Tears were cascading down their faces.

The two of them lost consciousness, however they woke up in the custody of Theodora's parents. They were recovering as the townspeople are shocked to find out what happened. There was a funeral held for Baucis however Philemon didn't come. Philemon had gone missing since the tragedy and some were whispering, "How could Philemon not come to his wife's funeral? That is very inhuman of him!" and "His sons are having it worse, I thought Philemon cared about his wife!" Losing his mother to a Wendigo was the most unsettling mental wound, and ever since that day; Ramman vowed to wipe out as many as possible. He had heard about Silver Branch as his friends would like to go there. In the meantime; there was once a female prophet name Elia, who once said in her prayers about how she sees the Holy Dove as a 'guardian'. While she slept; she had a nightmare that provoked her into a panic as a 'demon' accused her of 'slander' against the Dove. Elia woke up as she believes she does not have a place in the heavens with the Good Shepherd. But then, the Good Shepherd said to her that there are different interpretations out there of the Holy Dove. He said some say that the Dove is interpreted as a Spirit. Some see it as a dove flying in the sky, while others believe it is the maid in the heavens. And there are others like it. Elia fears of sleep so she prays to the Shepherd to take her anxiety and emotions as her prayers had been answered. Then, Elia dreamt of a 'warrior in white' who had dark hair but wore white and stood up against the Wendigos. The Wendigos tried to overpower him but they were no match alas and were defeated by the dark haired, light skinned, white attired boy. Elia felt relief and liberation however faint fear was beginning to torture Elia more. But Elia continued to pray for peaceful sleep for there were 'mares', impsh creatures that disrupt sleep of nightmares, trying to torture more of nightmares but Elia prays much more stronger and then has more dreams.

But there was one that left her wondering: She dreamt that the warrior in white is called in to get ready for a battle. Elia wonders what could this mean, "Get ready for what?" She then reads a verse: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?  Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin." She's not the only one who had a dream; Ophelia has one about where she was at the pool and she saw her former peers from her after school Taekwon-Do classes that she used to took but funny enough, they don't remember her however she remembers them and she remembers in the next sequence that she could hear someone coming as she did her best to hide but the scary unknown figure found her and got in her face. In the meantime; Laran was thinking about Ophelia and her amazing her powers. How he was shocked to see an enraged Ophelia exclaiming like a banshee: "That was for calling me 'prissy'!" Then she took her gun and shot at the Wendigos that were coming from above and falling like flies. "And that's for saying I was a girl to fight!" Ophelia bellowed. A Wendigo tried to sneak attack her, but Ophelia knocked him with her fist without turning around. She took the lifeless body and threw at Laran's lackeys, who fell down in a heap.

Ophelia twirled her gun and tucked it back in its case. "And THAT'S FOR YOUR PERVERY LACKEYS!!!!!" She cried out. "Did you have to go and yell like that?" One of the lackeys asked. "I can make you deaf if you prefer, want that?!" proclaim Ophelia, her eye was twitching but she looked like she calmed down. However; Ophelia laughs cynically and weakly, "So let me see if I got this right....." She said. Then she looks at Laran with a glare, "I'm a prissy, girlie girl who is afraid I'll break a nail? Hello, did you see me whoop those guys asses? What? Is that not good enough for ya, brotha? Are you satisfied? are you blind as a bat? Or are you just a sexist?" She ranted. Laran smirks, amused at her anger. "Oh no, I see how it is and I am NOT going to accept that." Ophelia storms over to him as she continued to fulminate, "I'M HERE TO SAVE YOU SO SHUT UP!!!!!!!!" The lackeys screamed like girls and hid, Laran was amazed by this. He turns to Ophelia, "You just scared my boys with your....guts...." said Laran. "My brother doesn't call me Miss Sass-a-Phrass for nothing, PAL!!!!" said Ophelia with a sassy tone. Laran looked surprised, not scared at all, then he smirks.
"Funny." was his response and walks away. Ophelia looked at him in disbelief, "What? You should be scared!" She cried, following him. He let out a low chuckle, "I don't do fear." said Laran. Ophelia gave him a weird look, "Oh come on!!!! The scary ones are afraid too!" Laran thought about this, he smirks. "She had a point. But she's a hell lot cute." He said to himself. Then he thought about the time he saved her from his bastard father: Laran pulled away, glaring at his father who looked at him in amazement. "You've gotten stronger, Laran." said Sarpedon.

"Next time you hurt a girl, you'll be dealing with me." threatened Laran, he kicked his dad and walked out. Ophelia followed him, Laran didn't say anything to her. But he said one thing: "I need you to wait for me at the inn. Don't do anything until I get back, got it?" Ophelia nodded, "OK." and she obeyed to this, she knew she was in big trouble. Later on; Laran walks over to the guilty Ophelia, who didn't look up at him. Laran sat next to her but not too close. Ophelia didn't want to look at him. It was quiet for a moment. But silence wasn't too long. "Do you know why I'm here?" Laran asked. Ophelia still didn't look up, "Yes." She said. "What am I here for?" questioned Laran in a strained voice. Ophelia was silent for a moment before she answered, "Because I went on a rampage against your father. And I didn't tell you." "Why didn't you tell me?" demanded Laran. Ophelia shrugged, "I don't know, I was pissed." She said. Ophelia looked up but not at him. "Are you mad?" asked Ophelia. Laran nodded, "I'm pissed." He replied. Ophelia squeezed her eyes shut. "Knew it." She muttered. "I am. Were you trying to kill the son of a bitch? I told you to leave him to me!" said Laran. "I know. But I was filled with anger." Ophelia protested. "At what?" Laran asked. "The way he abandoned you. How hurt you were but you know what pissed me off? He made fun of you, calling you a disgraceful outcast that I'm ashamed to call him my son. He said you were a brat that was spoiled. And how he was betrayed by how much of a brat." ranted Ophelia. She was out of breath and waited for Laran to say something. "You know that's not true." He finally said. "I know, I took out his lies on him. I kicked the crap out of him." Ophelia said.

"You can't changed people, you solve other people's problems. And you can't make every thing all right." Laran said in a hard tone to his voice. Ophelia hugged her knees, "I know what it's like." She mumbled. "What?" asked Laran. "Nothing." said Ophelia, still not looking at him. "Look at me." Laran commanded. "I can't." said Ophelia, "I've already looked at you, I only got you in my head." Laran was annoyed, "Don't make excuses, I just don't get why you're so selfish and how you can go on and be like you are." He said. Ophelia turned to meet his gaze and she then said something, "Did you think I can't feel? Huh? You know why I did it? Your father was a jerk, he was a jerk just like my dad was!" Laran gaped at her in shock, Ophelia continued. "Where were you when he spanked me and yelled at me whenever I get trouble at school? Where were you when I was bullied and betrayed in middle school by horrible people you thought they were friends because they were nice and could see how much of a freak you were?! Where were you when my father called me a 'Fat Ass' when I was overweight and eating so fast because of a stupid meds made me that way? Where were you when I had to cover my ears during a movie in class? Where were you when my mother was depressed? You think you know me? YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ME!!!!" ranted Ophelia with such emotion. She weep a little but felt a comforting hand on her shoulder, she could hear Laran saying to her: "Well....Here you are, all of this gives you a good sense of how it feels to be alive. Even though you didn't change so much as the way you wanted, You wanted to died as a minor but afterwards you suddenly realize you're alive."

Ophelia looked up and smiles at him. Thinking about this; Laran smiles at how she looked cute when she was happy, but then his cell rings, "Hello?" He said. He listened, a look of confusion crossed his face. "Who is this?" asked Laran crossly. Then he listened and a sneer appeared, "Oh hey. It's you, you got something for me?" Later, Ophelia is seen writing in her journal for her writing. She is busy writing that she doesn't realize who is sneaking behind her. Just then, she can hear someone say in her ear: "Hey there, Peti-phelia." Ophelia jumped, yelling. She turns around and glares at a snickering Laran, "Why the hell do you do that? I hate when you jump scare me, boy!" scolded Ophelia. Laran snickered darkly, "I bet you couldn't scare me." He said. Ophelia glares at him, "Boy I can scare you. I can think of every single thing. I can beat you any game, any time, anywhere!" She said. Laran smirked as she took the bait. "Well in that case...Here, let's hold a race." said Laran. "A race?" Ophelia asked, feeling a deja-vu. "Yup, whoever defeats the Wendigos will win this competition. Starting...now!" Laran pressed a button on a pen-like device and a puff of smoke out comes! He is gone after the smoke clears up. "Damn, he's so cool." She thought. Ophelia went after him as they try to track down the place he is at. But ran into Wendigos and fights them. "Geez, all too familiar yes?" She thought. Then she found a mellow themed place and thought about what to do: "Things are about to get nuts, so it’s time to break out the guns and grab some hostages. Throw down and explode, but if all fails; they were going to blow this place into ashes." She sneaks inside as they look around this mellow party. Ophelia shoots above as the lights burst into sparks.

Everyone screamed, but then Ophelia calls out: "Listen up, everybody! I'm taking charge, because I am willing to take extreme measures to make sure my demands are met! Stick with me, without hesitation or question; I'm about to kick some ass and taking names. In other words, I'm going all in. So, let me see them hands.” Just then, Wendigos appeared and Ophelia kept firing away and away. She got away as she ran into the rain but got inside a warehouse. This is where she hid until now, she was safe. However she looked around to see she was in a room that wasn't a warehouse, it looked like a manor. "Wait, is this--?"Ophelia started to say but a voice from above startles her. "Hey Freak Girl, welcome, cool ain't it?" It was Laran, standing above near a balcony while looking down on Ophelia. "How the hell you got in here?!" Ophelia demanded. Laran shrugged casually. "What can I say, I'm that good. I am the trickster." He bragged. "Deja-vu! DEJA--FRICKING VU!!!!!" thought Ophelia. She sighed, and walks away as she said: "I'm done. I'm done." But pull out her gun and fires at it him however Laran easily dodged it. "Aww, what's wrong?" taunted Ophelia, "Thought you were a big boy." She kept firing as Laran dodged them still! "Come out, come out, wherever you are!" Ophelia hollered. "Damn, I knew there was something interesting about her. She's more impressive than I thought." Laran muttered to himself, pleased by all this.

"You can run, but you can't hide!" Ophelia called out. They thought she got him but it was only his shirt. "What the hell--?" Ophelia demanded in shock. She turned and her eyes widened, pointing to what's coming. "You--!" "Gotcha!" said Laran, enthusiastically while lunging at Ophelia. She found herself face to face with Laran, who turns out to be wearing a tank shirt with sinewy arms. "Wow, nice. Very bound." thought Ophelia. But then she flushed when she realized this as she struggled to get away. "Hey, get off me, will ya?" Ophelia said. Laran didn't answered as he looked at her for one moment and kissed her right on the lips. Ophelia was shocked but then he pushed him away. But it turns out Laran won, courtesy of Roland. And Ophelia is dared to take a challenge: Drop ice in a bucket full of water and she does this herself. Proceeding with this challenge, Ophelia drops it on her head as she screams at how cold it is. Then she playfully splashed water and ice at Roland, Ace, Janus, and Laran as they all did the same with one another happily.
