Chapter 4: Fruitful Jeweled Heart

Long ago in the East, there was a young pubescent boy name Timias Geir who left his family's work shop where he'd work as a mechanic there. He noticed a boy with a small object, Timias asked if he may look at it and promise to take it in to fix it which the boy agrees to. Timias heard that his best friend, Vaughan Rother, got fired from his job so he and Vaughan's crush Perdita Leif decided to go visit him. Vaughan was looking at a boulder with symbols on it as it shook until Vaughan threw it up in the air and it exploded in the sky. Timias and Perdita were surprised to see this, Timias asked what would happened if it didn't blew up in the sky. Vaughan expressed his desire to see bastards blow up with the boulder that roam this world, he is asked about how he cannot stay at a job for one second however Vaughan hates how some people who have great wealth treats those with poverty like they are nothing! The three friends suddenly come across an old friend of theirs, his name was Hammond as Vaughan reveals that he wants to join the Crimson Arrow Legion however the others were shocked and said that many people die from being outside. Vaughan didn't care because he hates the same old things that go around here and wants a change. It wasn't until a revolution broke out as Vaughan and his friends escaped but Perdita broke away from the crowd when she heard an infant cry. Vaughan tried to get her back but was pushed back into the crowd where he was dragged in while hearing a gun shot and a girl's scream! Vaughan whirled around, "PERDITA!!!!!!!" He cried. Years later as a young man; Vaughan and Timias are willing to join the Crimson Arrow Legion until they heard about a 'goddess' will be joining them too. That 'goddess' is none other than Perdita. While she played the piano; Perdita unknowningly entices Vaughan. Vaughan is happy that Perdita is alive until he is horrified to discover that she was branded on the side near her hip almost! And the infant she was protecting was killed by the revolution soldiers so she broke down and killed the soldiers as she now has a different look in her eyes. She is the same girl Vaughan loves but she hates being touched as she is stoic than she was before. Among the trio of friends; Vaughan, Perdita, and Timias have things amongst themselves. For Vaughan, he is not the prey, he is the hunter. The countless soldiers that died fighting the manannggals, the names of the soldiers that have been sent out to fight the manannggals are often unknown, they are like flowers that are carelessly stepped on. The East is on its last legs and in dire need of some divine intervention. They need something to lift their spirits, if they just sit around wishing for something good to happen, there will be no effect. Vaughan has the motivation to fight, he and the other soldiers have to deal with people who laugh at others who move forward despite all the trials and tribulations. They’re like livestock, sitting there waiting for the next attack. They don’t fight back. These people are okay with that. They’re just complacent. These people think that they’re prospering inside the walls, protected by them while they have the freedom to fight back and they should starve from the lack of false security. The horror and humiliation of the human race being trapped within the walls while the manannggals hunt outside around the rest of the world is what motivates Vaughan to fight. He desires freedom. Vaughan is consumed with surging bloodlust, his rage is burning with an overflowing urge to kill, that will pierce the darkness of the manannggals' oppression! The bowstring pulled until it is about to snap as endless volleys continued, until the target drops dead. To describe Vaughan; he's 178 cm tall, he weighs 63 kg, and his dark brown hair is layer upon layer. But is parted from his face as it looks neater. Vaughan is sick of rotating in the same life day after day and wants his soul to fly freeeven if that involves becoming broken. The tragedy that haunts is all he knows as he has nothing to make him feel alive. If he could change it, then maybe he would feel more lively. He wants his prison to not only be shattered, but erased, so he can forget about it as he reconnects with the world. On one hand, he wants freedom. On the other, he wants to stay safe. He might be unhappy inside the glass, but at least he knows he’ll be okay. If he escapes, he might die outside and continue being miserable. Vaughan is afraid of changing his ways, so he’s frozen, unable to do anything and he wants to let him free while he feels like a trapped person, and he’d like to escape. He is becoming free from he's fear and free to create. Then he remembered the words from his commanding officer echoing in his ear: "Do you feel like you aren’t enough on your own to accomplish anything? Don't be afraid to take risks, sometimes in life you don’t feel great. You lack confidence and self esteem. Quit your inner shyness and say what has to be said, and do what has to be done. Get up and make a scene, just be big and live life. You learn an build upon failures to grow as a person. You’re always more than you think." He took those words to heart. As a young lady; Perdita possesses a mysterious yet innocent look, she has black hair and the style is in a bob with no bangs. She's 168 cm tall and she weighs 42 kg. In her own view; Perdita feels like she is infected with the people around her and the setting she is in, she wants to leave and live without all of the disruption. Perdita is empty inside as she wants to be like people in reality. She feels like there is no support from family or friends in her time of need, she wants somebody to help and go through a troubling time in her life. When crying or in a state of anxiety, most people feel like they’re unable to breathe properly which is what she's going through right now. People will say that the state she’s in now will blow over shortly, but to her it’s more than that. She’s allowed to ask for help, she then recalled what her master once told her: "No matter what mistakes people do you got to remember that we are only humans and are not perfect." She knows that however she is traumatized by the branding on her skin and how she hates being touched by others around the area at her side. And there was Timias, fragile yet intelligent Timias. He has medium length, short brown hair and green eyes. He is usually wearing a coat possibly based on a naval commander's uniform with brass buttons at the sleeves, torso, and collar. His height is 161 cm and his weight is 53 kg. Timias acknowledges his mistakes more than anyone else would. Neither could a thief though he made a much better prince! Sick of living life without the feeling of a deeper purpose, the person he cares about brings him out of the depth of the hallows. He’s not the weakling that he spiraled into for a while. The one he cares about is the reminder of the man he is without his bravery. Even after what they have been through together, he still has feelings for her. He has told her before that he loves her, and still even after everything he still does. with all of the mistakes he has mad, he can’t be considered a wise man. He has no excuses for his mistakes which is why he couldn’t cut it as a poor man stealing. Timias is the one that’s been doing her wrong. It’s his fault, he has made a bad mistake of what he done he should stick by living what people have told him. For he might be on the right track. Since all that has been going on, Vaughan is given the assignment to the West and that's where he went! In the meantime; Monica and her friends are basking in the glory of their first achieved victory. So it can give them enough energy to win the next battle. But she won’t let anybody speak as if her friends death was for nothing. As long as she’s still standing to fight back. No matter how impossible the enemy they face may seem. They will find a way to fight them. However, Monica and the other four girls cannot forget the loss for the people they care about. It was so excruciating that Monica takes a vacation alone. Arriving at the same time of their holiday; Monica and Vaughan noticing each other before they go in their neighboring rooms. Then, they are shown thinking about each other with a dream of Monica walking towards the door to Vaughan's room. The next thing she knew, Monica in the boat, she buys an egg and the woman serving in the shop turns into a sheep, and the next minute they are rowing in a rowing boat somewhere. Vaughan follows the girl to a bridge near a fountain. Nearby there are rocking people eating pies. She wants to remove all past bad things in the relationship that she was in, she’s going to burying it to start over. She wants to know that she can start over, and she wants help to do so. Monica is going to bury hurtful memories of the girl he loves so they can leave the past behind and move on. The whole dreaming experience is summed up in colorless nightmares in her mind. She doesn't know why she feels this way, she wonders if she ever dreamt in a place like this. as it is so vivid that it comes again into her mind. Has she found her destination? She awakes from her dream and is horrified by what she saw. Monica doesn’t want to fall asleep again, because she fears the dream will continue. She’s seeing the nightmares again and is horrified. After one nightmare, another starts again. She doesn’t want the dream to continue, but she cannot wake up either. Monica actually now wants the dreams to happen again, because she is interested in what she sees, knowing that there might be some truth in them. She’d like to get another one of those dreams to see beyond what she knows about what is to come. Monica tries to convince us that her dreams probably predict the true future, even though she’s not a spiritual man herself and doesn’t usually these kind of things. Monica wants to see into the future again, but doesn’t want to experience the horrifying dreams ever again; she is convinced that there’s got to be an afterlife and doesn’t know if anyone has a purpose. She is lost in a dream of mirrors paradox! Monica holds Vaughan's hands against her sides of his waist while Vaughan drapes his hands on Monica's shoulders. Then, they sway back and forth with the music. Their foot movement is minimal, but the pair use their feet to slowly turn on the spot slowly as they still sway to the music. Monica and Vaughan enveloped in a dream sequence passion with one another due to their dark pasts. In order to assert her control over Vaughan, she’s bewitch him so he won’t hurt himself in his suffering. Monica could see that Vaughan has murderous eyes, which is a bit of a problem since he is angry yet different from all the rest. Despite this, she still looks to stay with him. No matter what, Monica loves Vaughan even when he's doing things she doesn’t like. Vaughan fixates on Monica, as if she had enchant him, while she grapples with the new world that she entered. His behavior is a double-edged sword because while it guarantees him rage, it also guarantees that many enemies only want him for battles and the privilege of being an opponent to him. With this girl, Vaughan knows he has something different towards Monica. Although there is something special about this girl, Vaughan knows that even if their love was real it would not work out, people lie when they’re in love, or at least act like they have something to hide. Vaughan’s relationship with Monica is understood enough to where there’s no need to lie. It’s a lonely night, and when it’s a lonely night, what do you want? Somebody special. Vaughan and Monica were convinced that there wouldn’t be any real love between them. They are both in an argument and Monica is starting to look for a compromise. He left for a while, and now that he’s returned she wonders what pushed him to come back. In their dreams they aren’t hiding like they are outside of them. Though Monica may feel crazy in love, it’s not so crazy to be both the cure and the painIt only makes Monica want more. Even though she’s afraid of him, she can’t help but love him. Her adoration trumps every emotion he could possibly instill in her. She wants her lover to see the distances she’ll go for him. Monica sometimes passes out momentarily after particularly intense spasms of each dream experience with Vaughan. Monica does let Vaughan set the pace, but it’s less romantic than it sounds here. However, Monica agrees to their play because she loves Vaughan, not because she wants to. The way Vaughan loves and touches Monica is particular. Regardless of Monica’s past and her fears towards Vaughan to take the chance with him of love. She wanted to tell Vaughan how she truly feels about him. Throughout the beginning of Vaughan and Monica’s relationship Monica doesn’t let Vaughan touch her or completely express herself to him but he continues to ask him for it. She wants to take a chance on him. With his help, Monica can make it through her past struggles and she will be okay again. She wakes up at night sweaty and her head is pounding. only he can truly satisfy her like no one else can. He isn’t like any other guy that she has been with. He’s different. He’s on fire. The way Monica acts towards him makes him feel in a certain way, and he believes that the effect that she has on him is witchcraft. She has him to the brink. There is no use fighting the passion he has for her. Monica is tempting Vaughan to be unfaithful through her seductive ways, she makes no attempt to hide what she wants and he knows this but a part of him loves it so he wouldn’t switch it for anything. Vaughan basically makes her do stuff she never imagine doing with anyone besides him. She is consumed by his sallow heart. It’s enough to make her want to stay. She feels that she is losing herself. No one cares and she feels lifeless, feels as if everything is closing in on her. She doesn’t pay any mind to it, though. She doesn’t care what happens next. She wants to know why he didn’t care about her for so long, but now that it’s the last night together he’s giving her all the love he can. When all the pain was taken from her, Monica felt like a lifeless soul. If they only had one more night to spend with each other, they would make sure to be more passionate and care for each other because it’s their last time ever seeing each other again. They would love like no other. But for Vaughan, he wants to love on her for one last night. Though Monica’s kept an air of mystery to Vaughan about her past, pains from the previous events have never been too discreet. Also, Vaughan's resistance to love in terms of affection. But when it comes to loving, Monica is the first person that comes to his mind. Extreme passion comes from being with one another, and when he’s inside of her it’s as if he’s on fire, burning with lust. He’s the only one that controls her and it allows him to do whatever he wants to her, which is where she belongs. He’s told her countless times that she belongs to him. He wants full control over her; she is his and only his. Even when Vaughan is away, he can’t get his mind off of Monica. Yet, despite the experiences Monica has shared with him, she easily forgets who loves her, and who controls her. Monica believes that Vaughan has love deep inside of his heart but he’s afraid to show it. She’s afraid that he’ll leave one day. Monica was innocent before meeting and falling in love with Vaughan. She wants to be in his life and change it to the better life. But Vaughan does not want her to recall her dark past and think about a different future, because she has many things to work out so it’d be easier and better without them. Monica is losing faith in her relationship as she lost her patience on how this relationship would work! Monica has faith in Vaughan and believes blindly that he can love her, if she’s patient enough. Vaughan lives in pain and is dragging Monica with him into the pain and darkness, and she sees that he isn’t trying to get better, but his on his way to a darker and even more painful place. Despite Vaughan’s attempts to try and push Monica away, she still believes that he truly wants to stay and be with her. When she’s with him, chemicals flow in her blood, so she knows that she loves and belongs to him. Monica knows how her feels towards Vaughan, she influenced by the depth of perspective and has immersed him in the appeal. Monica even how much wanted to tuch him and feel Vaughan, he wont let her do this. And because of that Monica is curious about why and it’s getting a bigger mystry time by time. She want him and she imagine him since she met with him. She tries to get him to stay with her by calling him. She’s obsessed. She has too much pride to actually just out and say how she feels. But it’s coming out regardless! Monica deeply begins him to not to live her alone. She couldn’t say it out loud , she’s in a fear that he may live her for good if she tells it to him. Vaughan had never been to explain himself and Monica had no idea about what she feel and what she wants from him. He has scars and wounds on his soul. And Monica had a love but extereamly painful and different. People ask her who he is that’s got her going so crazy in love. The way she’s dressed casually, not really trying hard. She gets butterflies with him and she doesn’t understand what exactly he’s doing differently to make her feel this way about him. Just because he created something in her that she didn’t even know could exist. It’s more about passionate love. Vaughan’s love was so passionate and this is making Monica so crazy, it makes her feel like living the life from the top of the world. Monica doesn’t understand how he makes her go crazy when she never been this crazy about anyone else. She feels the air when he touchs her. Though it felt real, it was all in the state of dreaming so it couldn't be physical. Vaughan asked what was the real reason for this and Monica expressed that she wants to help herself with anger and trauma she had been feeling, Vaughan thought about Perdita and agreed as they hope the two could meet again in person. They both return to their homelands where things looked normal to them when one day, Vaughan was working with Perdita alone as they both took a break. Then, a song with taiko drums and a piano melody was playing. Vaughan knew what to do as he walked over to Perdita and held his hand. Perdita looked at him as she reluctantly takes it and rose up. Vaughan holds Perdita's hands against his sides of her waist while Perdita drapes her hands on Vaughan's shoulders. Then, they sway back and forth with the music. Their foot movement is minimal, but the pair use their feet to slowly turn on the spot slowly as they still sway to the music. Monica watched this in her mind and then she smiled while sleeping in her bed. The next morning, Monica encounters Colt as she asked him what he was doing around here and Colt tells her he is looking for someone special. However after Colt left, he is tracked down and kidnapped but he is interrogated about Megan so then, he tells the story of when he was a boy as how he and Megan met:

Colt went to the doctor's place but then he was witnessing the doctor creating something special. There was lights and buzzes. "What is going on? What are they doing?" The young boy wondered but what he saw, he could not believe it, it was a beautiful girl with long reddish auburn hair and she wore white. "Who is that girl?" He wondered. One day while making jack o lanterns; there is a knock at the door. Colt wondered who could that be and went to go answer it. It is a girl who lives in another building. She is briefly overcome with faintness, and Colt helps her to a chair and offers her a glass of water. She thanks him. After a few minutes, she says that she is better and must go. But as she turns to leave, she realizes that she has lost her key. Her lantern goes out in the draught and Colt's lantern goes out too; the pair stumble in the dark. Colt, eager to spend time with the girl, to whom he is already attracted, finds the key and pockets it, feigning innocence. He takes her cold hand, then he spoke in a language that he hadn't spoke at all but only his mentor did. What came out of his mouth was unforgettable, "Che gelida manina!" Megan looked at him, "What did you say?" She asked. Colt was surprised, "Sorry, it means 'what a cold little hand'." He explained. Megan was amused, "I didn't know you could talk that language." She said. Colt was red faced, "Neither did I. I used to live with someone who taught me language. I'll stop if you want." He said. Megan laughed, "No. I think it's wonderful. I always wanted to learn a new language but my father is overprotective of me." She said. They begin talking and getting to know each other, where Colt tells her of his life as a pumpkin grower which he claims to be 'The Great Pumpkin Boy', then asks her to tell him more about her life. The girl says her name is Megan, and describes her simple life as the isolated daughter of Dr. Ferrand Seymour. As she was talking, Colt turns to see Megan bathed in moonlight and stopped himself but he thought, "Soave fanciulla." which meant 'Lovely girl'. It seems that Colt and Megan realize that they have fallen in love. And Colt promised to help Megan not be isolated within her home by her father as he never goes back on a promise. As Megan managed to arrive at the gathering of Colt's ceremonial anniversary of the Jack o lanterns; he hands her a small gift as she comes to sit beside him while the mayor preaches the history of Colt's bravery against his role as the Jack o' Lantern guardian: "Colt was on his way to his destination, carrying a flail on his shoulder, for he had corn there, when whom should he meet but his old friend. After conversing for some time they began to quarrel, and presently were in the midst of a terrible fight. Colt fell to basting the devils with his flail, until the bag containing the two little ones went all to pieces, and the two tumbling out, fled for their lives to a village which is considered to this day a very wicked place from this fact. Eventually, however, they met, and this time Colt had his gun on his shoulder. After a lapse of time, Colt met him again in the guise of a gentleman, but the Welshman knew it was the tempter. This time he made a bargain for which he was ever afterwards sorry, as he sold himself to the devil for a sum down, but with the understanding that whenever he could cling to something the devil should not then control him. One day when Colt was busily gardening, the evil one snatched him away into the air without warning, and Colt was about giving up all hopes of again returning to earth, when he thought to himself, and laid hold of the apple tree, and hung on. The devil had to leave him there. But the reprobate was now the personification of the jack o' lantern." During the speech, an annoyed Colt wasn't listening as Megan looked at him worried. "Are you OK, Colt?" She whispered. "I'm leaving soon once this over." muttered Colt to Megan only. Megan looked at him with surprised, "You can't!" She said in a low voice, "This is your anniversary for the jack o' lanterns." Colt said quietly, "I'm sick and tired of this every single year and I could less about this shit." Megan looked at him and finally once it was all over; Colt walked off while Megan followed him. She watched him as she ask him for why he is tired of this. Colt was silent for a moment before he answered while he said: "There’s nothing wrong with him because of this. I will do what I want, because I am my own person! I don't trust many people, I'm going to do what I want and don’t care. I absolutely destroy shows! Melting faces, blowing heads up, and it’s all in the life of a slayer against the monsters. I didn't care for much for this place; I didn’t deal with the typical life that occurred, and was more concerned with other things, which for him was one normally filled with vices. Life moves so fast, and we as humans tend to act on what we feel at the moment and what we think is right even though it isn’t. We live in the moment a lot, and sometimes the moment moves to fast. Good times tend to go away suddenly and sometimes the good times do not feel like they lasted long enough." But he stopped and speaks out that made Megan emphasizes him: "I would stare out the window and think of my impending future that was coming too fast for me to handle. I didn’t know what it would hold, and just prayed that it would be. I to tell people how I felt but couldn’t so I kept it all inside. Nobody knew how unhappy I was. I just feel out of place and just wished I could find somewhere I belong....I yearn for a place of opportunity and anonymity the opposite of the small-town existence I'm known to." Colt said. "I will escape the world and learn how to fly, doing whatever it takes to escape this place, "By saying that I'm going to spread her wings is best meant to mean that I'm coming out of my shell to be with the rest of the people. Now with spreading my wings I'm going to become a part of the community, to finally interact with the rest of the world. Instead of being all locked up, now my sores up high with no fear, because of my spread wings. Although what is I'm taking the risk for, to say goodbye to someone that I will possibly not see again. That’s why I feel the need to tame the risk. Away from all this that makes me feel worthless and into a better place, but I won’t forget everyone I love and will always love them." Megan looked at him with a sad expression, "Colt..." She said. Colt turned away with a sigh, "I know, it sounds stupid." He said. Megan shook her head and took his hand in hers as she said, "No, that's not it at all. I--I know how you feel." Colt turned back at her with surprise, Megan smiled. Just then, they were both interrupted by voices--Unfamiliar voices as Megan look and see who it is from afar. "How much further?" A girl's voice asked in a whiny tone. Then, there was a boy's voice: "Relax, we're almost there." Megan saw the figures walking away, Colt approach her and asked, "What did you see?" Megan wasn't sure as she said, "Something curious...." So she followed the figures through the leaves and Colt followed her. Megan almost fell off the cliff but Colt caught her safely in his arms and never let go of her. "I'm not going to let anything happen to you, Megan." He told her. They locked eyes before Megan and Colt managed to break apart, blushing so they decide to walk into the world of strange and find those figures. After listening to the story; Artha was surprised to hear this before she smiled at him. "You love her don't you?" asked Artha. Colt nodded with a shrug, "You could say that." He replied. Watching from the cameras; a figure gritted her teeth: "Recruit him, recruit him. RECRUIT HIM!!!!" Colt notices Artha's face was trying to not crack and he asked with a weary expression, "You're not gonna go crazy again, are you?" Artha shook her head, "No, look at me. Do I look like I'm crazy?" She said but her eye twitched and Colt sighed, he knew where this was going as Artha burst out in hysterics: "LOVE! IT'S SO EXHILIRATING!!! SO PASSIONATE!!!! FULL OF LIFE!!!! OHHHHH, I HAVEN'T SEE SUCH BEAUTY LIKE THIS SINCE HIGH SCHOOL....It was during the first time I was rediscovering myself but that's another story.....AHHHH, SHE MUST BE SO IMPORTANT TO YOU, ISN'T SHE?! If that's not bad enough, she's in trouble with you as her beck and call protector." Boy were things going to be complicated. Speaking of complicated; Monica was driving on an errand and stopped for a bit to get gas however she nearly lost control of her car. That's when she stopped and saw her tires slashed. So she decided to stay somewhere and found a sign that read "STAY THE NIGHT AT GRANIA'S MANOR". Monica went up to the manor and knocked on the door, "Who's there?" Monica heard a woman call out. "I mean no harm really," Monica answered. "Sorry to be a bother. My name is Monica. Sorry I never mentioned it before. I guess I will take a room for the night, if the offer's still good." She looked a little concern. "Oh, of course it is, dear," said Grania, answering the door and turning the lights on. "Monica. Oh, that's such a pretty name, honey. Well. Let's get you situated. You put your name and arrival time in the book there and I'll get you a key. All the boarding rooms are on the second floor, and there's only a couple left." Monica was shocked to hear this, "There are others here?" She asked. This was surprising. Not a single car had been in the front lawn when she pulled in. "Oh, yes, Miss Monica." Grania was puttering around in the adjacent room. "There's a few of us here." She came back out with a key in her hand. "Just out of curiosity, what made you come here anyway?" She seemed to brighten as she asked the question, as though relieved that Monica would stay after all. "Oh, it's probably just local kids getting kicks," she said. "But I found my vehicle's tires slashed." Grania stopped suddenly, her face twisted with concern and worry. Then she resumed, as though nothing was wrong. "Nothing to be done for it, I suppose," she said, with a look of sadness. Monica relaxed for a bit when she decided to maybe finds something to eat around here. However while outside of her room, she saw a figure in black detached itself from the shadows of the trees and made its way to her car. Monica jumped up and ran at the window. The figure was tall, and seemed to be wearing a cloak made of night. She saw as its arm extended. In its hand was a long, jagged dagger. It dragged the dagger across the side of her, leaving a long gash-mark in the paint of the wall. "Hey!" she shouted. The figure kept dragging the dagger. She reached for the window to open it. It wouldn't budge! She looked for a lock, but couldn't see one. "Hey!" she yelled again. This time the figure raised its head. She could see the glint of two eyes under the hood. The figure raised the dagger, slowly, determinedly. It pointed it straight at her face. She leaped away from the window and ran for the door. A noise on the other side stopped her. Footsteps. Dragging, shambling footsteps. And crying. The sound of a person for whom deep, longing sadness is a way of life. She waited. Somehow, she just felt that she should let the old man pass before she opened the door. Before he got very far, however, she heard other footsteps, these much quicker and lighter, run up the stairs and stop near the door of her room. She opened it as she saw someone with a sharp object and chased Monica, who ran off in fear until she reached a dead end. But found a door and went through it as the piercing object cut through the door. Monica gasped. "Stop it!" hissed Grania. "Go back in your room right now! You know better. Never run around with sharp objects that way to a young lady. Now you go back in there. You've got no business being out at this hour anyway."

Monica was surprised and headed back to her room. While looking around; Monica discovers a horrible chamber of girls are seen in a chase of an pointless game to get a black banner while hornets bite them and parasitic worms are sucking their blood. The female victims into the chaotic storms, where they swirl into the madness. Girls are seen lying the mud while filth rained down hard on them. Two girls are seen pushing boulders at one another in a raging matter. Into another terror, There is a swampy river, where a girl is seen being tortured by demons as a person watches her suffering in delight. Girls are lashed with whips, forced to lie in a river of filth, are hung upside down while their feet are burning, forced to walk backwards blindfolded. From being awake to dreaming, at the core, which is a memory lost but it still exists elsewhere in the center of the subconscious. Monica is stuck in a dull routine, seeing the same old people and doing the same old things over and over again. Each day, everyone wakes up early to get a head start in the rat race, competing for money or power, but because everyone is stuck in the system, no one really gets ahead. Although everyone feels like Monica, sad and unfulfilled, they hold it back so that their sadness doesn’t show. Since everyone is going through life on automatic, trying hard not to think or show how sad they are, everyone thinks everyone else is fine. She wants to put her head down and pretend that there’s no tomorrow, since each day is the same as the last. Thinking about how the unfulfilling cycle will continue is too much to bear, and makes her want to drink until she forgets. The world is so mad that dying actually sounds like a good idea to and Monica must find her only escape. During her visit, Monica bears to witness the shocking depravities of the human mind as well as monstrous abnormalities of the physical body. Tragically incurable, these tortured souls spend their vile existence plauged by a nightmarish reality that mercifully eludes those who cling to their sanity. And she comes across some strange people as she meets a man and what was left of him: The lower half of his face was a ruin of bone fragments, shredded muscle and blood. So much blood. His left side was similarly destroyed. His arm hung on a few hanging strings of muscle, his hip was just as much a mess of bone and blood as his face was. He kept his one good hand on the bannister as he shuffled toward her. Behind him stood a young woman with stomach was cut open, and looking out of the wound with mangled remains of what was left of her. Monica could hear haunted singing and she was attacked by the demented Grania! It turns out that the one who chased her was Grania's son name Calvin and this whole manor was nothing more than a torturing madhouse. Monica ran away as she sets the whole manor on fire as she burnt all the deformed and sadistic residents alive! Grania managed to escape as Monica ran from her. The whole house was falling apart right before Monica's eyes as debris was piled on everywhere! Just before she escaped; Grania emerged from the rubble as she cried out, "No, please! Don't leave me here!" With all of her might; Monica kicked Grania in the head, her neck snapped and her lifeless body fell in the rubble however Monica pulled herself away as she got to safer ground, back to her friends in the West. In a rehab facility; Karina was in her room, watching a movie with an emotionless expression, and alone she was in that small ward of hers. But outside, people are watching and monitoring her intensively. "So, any reason why she's here?" asked one person. "Who?" asked the second. "Her." said the first, gesturing to the girl in the cell. "Oh, this is Karina. She's the daughter of the politician." said the second. "Why would she try to kill herself?" asked the first. "She claimed that she saw something inhuman as it was her father. She said her father is responsible for the manannggals." answered the second. "Are you serious?" the first was surprised. "I'm dead serious. I wonder if this is going to be a turning point for her." replied the second. Hours later; Karina just fell asleep after the movie was over. The observers are still watching her, "She did pretty good for the past weeks. Heard that she's leaving, her mother is coming to collect her from this place." said the second. Earlier in that time of the more weeks went by as Karina begin to see less and less of her dad, so she went to see him but what she found disturbed her: There they were, humans who have become manannggals. All of them had abnormal body shapes, claw hands, and looked more violent. "What?" whispered Karina, she couldn't believe it. "Magnificent isn't it?" A voice said. Karina gasped as he turned around and saw her father, Atlas, standing there with a sadistic smile on his face. He stepped out of the shadows to admire his work, "These scoundrels are part of my newest creation." He said. "Father?" asked Karina. "What did you do to them?" "Isn't this wonderful? You see, my daughter, I had always wanted to know what happens if I did something like this, or this....Or maybe something....." He ranted, a psychotic look in his eyes. Not a good sign! Karina is terrified as her father looked at her and took a step towards her. Karina stepped away from him, "But you...I have much bigger plans for you, my daughter. I do not wish to make you a creature--I want to make you someone more powerful in all of the world." Karina was scared but she try to destroy his 'work'. Atlas tried to stop his daughter however Karina claims she doesn't want to be 'different'. She rushes out but heard the sound of her father calling out to her, "Kaaareeeeeenaaaaaa." Karina shivered, she tried to open the door but it wouldn't budge. "No, come on! Come on, come on!" She muttered. Just then, The deranged Atlas had a sickle in his hand and was laughing like mad.

"Kaaareeeeeenaaaaaa!!!!!!!" He said, swaying side to side like crazy. With all her strength; Karina breaks down the door and runs however she couldn't go back to her father. For the time being; Axel and Jude are sent on a mission, where a girl with dark hair, blue-green eyes, pale ski-- and dark circles under her eyes--is seen cornered by a boy and his gang but she talks that led them into a fight. Axel remembers this troubled girl--It is Karina, the daughter of Atlas! During the fight; The girl escapes from the boys while Axel cries out: "THEY'LL CATCH YOU!" Karina responds back, "NO! NO! NEVER!" but she is shocked that she can hear that cry and nobody else can. Jude is shocked at this as he yells at her in disbelief: "She can hear you? She can...YOU CAN HEAR HIM, CAN'T YOU?!" But Karina runs away until she was out of breath as she tries to sooth herself with lies such as that those voices are part of her imagination. Karina is seen walking down a path as she enters underneath the bridge but she is stalked by Axel and Jude, who try to interrogate her: "Karina, I know you can hear me....Your father is responsible for those monsters.....Don't you dare try to walk away from this and treat this incident like it was nothing. Because I know it meant a lot to both of us and I don't want you to act any differently." He says. Karina ignores this as she says to herself, "I am just hearing things." Jude was next to speak up, "You're a liar Karina...You lie so much that they become the truth and you don't seem to tell the truth always. You think you can give up on trying because of all this. Do you really have everything you want? You can’t give love to anyone else because your heart is cold. Like ice." He said. Karina placed her hands over her ears and begin humming but Axel speaks out: "You may think other people are the main source of all your problems but you're the really the problem and you can’t runaway from yourself like you feel like you could do from everyone. You happy now that you're living the life without anyone to love you? You know you're not doing well as you say you are." However Karina does not reply as she claims that she's hearing things. Axel cries out, "PSYCHO!!!!" Karina screams and gasps to see that nobody is there until she hears faint snickering. Karina comforts herself but she feels stalked as she starts to hear footsteps so she takes off running again until she feels the feet are behind her too. Karina is so scared and begs for mercy however she trips and tumbles down a hill while she weeps bitterly yet silently. Karina begs for help but she hears nothing and cries harder but she hears someone singing softly to a lullaby. Eventually; Karina starts to calm down as she starts to trust the fainting footsteps. After a while of silence; Karina is talking aloud for Axel and Jude to hear, "My life was overwhelming and against odds, all the pain that I have been through, and the sufferings that I had encountered. The weight bears on me." Then; her moods change, she's becoming quite hungry and eats something she never had before as she feels nausea. The next day; Karina notices that something is terribly wrong and begs for help as Axel and Jude came to her aid. In the meantime, Karina has been suffering of traumatic nightmares as well as talking in her sleep: Her fundamentalist religious grandmother that has been staying with her and the family for some time as she is abusive towards her and her own family. Karina also witnessed her crazed grandma killing Karina's mother as she was so terrified but she does not know that Axel is watching her from outside her room! He is curious to know what's going on with Karina as he and Jude attempts to use some kind of mental trick to let her admit what is she hiding underneath the happy mask. Hearing their plan in their mental consciousness; Karina pretends to be naive and accepts their offer so she writes about her father's abuse. She confesses that she wants revenge--Justice towards the one that raped her up pretty badly and starts crying a little, Karina claims that she just wants some peace in her pain! Jude feels remorse, he never realizes that someone would do a cruel thing to a young woman. Axel is also remorseful but he fears that Karina might turn into someone else so he refuses to help her in revenge and that's when she refuses as she becomes mercilessly until she sees them both bleed and stops as she heals them. She apologizes over and over again as she cries even harder: "Oh god, I feel like a monster!" She sobbed.

Karina was persuaded to join Axel and Jude but she decided also to find out more about her father's dirty work with manannggals and found one on a rainy day as she went inside. While exploring, she thought she saw someone there and turned but found no one was there. Karina shake her head and rubbed her eyes, "I must be seeing things." She muttered. Karina watched the mechanic ballerina dance until its tired, machine heart beats slowly until the song disappears. Then it stops. There was an eerie silence until Karina heard singing, sad but soft crooning. Karina was a little freaked out when she heard the singing and then, there was something that made Karina shrieked when she heard a shock, panicky scream, "AAAAAAAAAAA!" Karina ran as she went to the bathroom, which was the safest place she could think of. There was a voice on the opposite side of the door. It was just a quiet, whisper voice. And then she could other two more of them. There was three? "Why don't you open the door?" said the first. "We've come for you." said the second. And then the third, a woman's voice said, "You'll be happier if you open the door. It's not so bad..." Karina trembled, however she didn't know what to do anymore. Maybe it won't be so bad. However, she won't fall for it but she musters the courage. Panting with fear; Karina had her pen knife in her hand as she mumbling to herself in a mantra: "I'm OK. I'm not scared, I'm not scared. I can do this. I'm not afraid....." She went out there, looking around as she stepped out of her hiding spot. She looked left, then right. Breathing a sigh of relief, Karina walked as she said to herself over and over again, "I am not scared, you hear that? Not scared at all." Then she shouted out, "I AM NOT SCARED!!!!!" Just then, a crash of thunder was so loud that made Karina screamed and jumped. "Oh crap." She muttered. However she finds something fell and she jumps. There laying on the floor was a mascot on the floor. It looked like some sort of disturbing looking one that remained unfinished, Karina looked at it and then to her horror; the mascot started to get up. First sitting up, then climbing to its feet, the mascot stood there at the center of the room, its fake face just starting at Karina directly as she mumbled "No...This can't be happening..." over and over and over. She wanted to run however her legs refuse to work. She wanted to scream however she was so terrified that she could not make a sound! The mascot now quietly sizing her up. Karina raised her eyes once again to the costumed figure."Hey," it said in a hushed, perverted voice, "Wanna see my head come off?" It started to pull at its own head, working its clumsy, glove-clad fingers around its neck with clawing, impatient movements similar to a wounded man trying to pull himself free of a predator's jaws. As it worked its digits into its neck. So much blood. Murky, solid, fulvous plasma. Karina turned away, sickened by the sight, she only cared about getting away. Above the doorway out of this room, she saw a message clawed into the metal with fingernails it said, "ABANDONED HOPE, YE WHO ENTER HERE". Karina ran away in fear and she tried her best to not look back. "What was that thing?" thought Karina with fear in her mind. Finally, as she calmed down; Karina walked down the hall to the door and tried the handle. Sure enough it was locked. She bent down and looked through the wide keyhole. Cold air passed through it, chilling her eye. What she saw was a bedroom and in the corner was a woman whose skin was incredibly pale. She was leaning her head against the wall, facing away from the door. She stared in confusion for a while. Karina almost knocked on the door, out of curiosity but decided not to. As Karina was still looking, the woman turned sharply and she jumped back from the door, hoping she would not suspect he had been spying on her. The scenery changed before her eyes, all she saw was redness. She couldn't make anything out besides a distinct red color, un-moving. Perhaps these inhabitants of the room knew she was spying the night before, and had blocked the keyhole with something red. Karina backs away but then she found a record about that room: A long time ago, a man was killed after he murdered his wife in there, and what people find that even now, whoever stays there gets very uncomfortable. But these people were not ordinary. They were white all over, except for their eyes, which were red. Karina was scared, however she found something that frightened her. There were four test subjects also had large portions of muscle and skin torn away from their bodies. While the heart, lungs and diaphragm remained in place, the skin and most of the muscles attached to the ribs had been ripped off, exposing the lungs through the ribcage. All the blood vessels and organs remained intact, they had just been taken out and laid on the floor, fanning out around the eviscerated but still living bodies of the subjects. They continued to scream to be left in the chamber and alternately begged and demanded that the gas be turned back on, lest they fall asleep. One of the subjects died from having his throat ripped out, another was gravely injured by an artery in his leg severed by one of the subject's teeth. When heart was seen to beat for a full two minutes after he had bled out to the point there was more air in his vascular system than blood. Karina was scared, she thought she heard someone's footsteps as she pulled out her pen knife and prepared for anyone who might be coming would attack her. There was a figure standing there, she didn't know who it was. It looked like a silhouette of a man and then a creature. Karina pointed her pen knife at the remaining figure, "I won't be locked in here with you! Not with you!" She screamed at the figure. "WHAT ARE YOU? I want to know!" The figure replied, "Have you forgotten so easily? I am the madness that lurks within you all, begging to be free at every moment in your deepest animal mind. I am what you hide from in your beds every night. I am what you sedate into silence and paralysis when you go to the nocturnal haven where we cannot tread." Karina got away as she didn't look back. Venetia got herself involved in going undercover however she noticed Jude and Axel were here so she quietly revealed her name to Jude, who keeps her secret and managed to fight each other. After the match, Jude looks over his shoulder and smirks a little bit, "Don't look now but your propitious yet eye catching enthusiast is approaching in this direction." Sure enough; Axel was heading over to Jude and Venetia: "Well, well, Axel. Your comrade has some impressive fighting skills." said Axel. "I try to make this young lady look good on the battlefield." shrugged Jude. "C'mon, Axel. Her skills far surpasses you even more than you think." Axel commented. Smiling at his praise; Venetia spoke to Axel: "Perhaps you and I can fight right here and now, Mr--" Axel finished Venetia's sentence, "Axel--Axel Rivers, and I accept." Venetia chokes back a squeal of glee, "Sweet! Sounds like a date."During the fight; Axel asked Venetia, "You look familiar.......Haven't I seen you before?" Venetia smiles as she says, "I'm an interesting person." After the breath-taking battle is over; Venetia queries, "So miss, what's your name?" Venetia replies seductively, "Why? It's common for me to not let you know anything personal." This made Axel was confused, "What? What does that suppose to mean?" He asked. "Anonymous name. Kinda like an enchantress?" Venetia purred demurely. "Who the hell are you?" Axel demands. But then Venetia blows her own cover as she bellows, "Hell-O, Jude and Axel--Are you up for some chasing?" And runs off as she is being followed by Axel and Jude as she flirts with them playfully. She also tries to convince them to let her go. The boys almost fall for her charms as Venetia suggest that they can join her. "Sorry but I don't sustain mutineers." confirmed Axel coldly. "Mutineer? What happened to the guy I used to know?" Venetia asked in mock sadness. "He became fully grown from appealing, problematic schoolgirls, for example yourself, and found a lady of his own so you coming back with us?" Axel asks. "Depends! You and Jude going to chase me?" Venetia shots back playfully. "Better get underway, Sweetheart." said Jude. "Try and keep up, Wonder Boys. Don't fall behind!" called Venetia. The chase is on as Venetia reaches to a dead end but Colt and Megan helps her escape as Venetia calls out before vanishing, "Sorry gotta run, catch ya later--Wonder Boys!" And escaped as Jude and Axel were upset as she escaped.

For the time being, Adele remembered how she helped Venetia as she debates on whether she will always have another chance to say it. She’s questioning what compassionate is if she is not there physically and if there’s some indecisiveness. Adele thought about her life in these last years for her: Princess Adele Deimandis is quite a superficial young lady but underneath all that, she is a sweet person. But lately her reputation as a heartbreaker has been the talk of the town lately. Her mother, Governess Mariah Deimandis, is a widow and she is concern of her daughter's promiscious behavior as a heartbreaker while wanting her to be a respectful woman of society which Adele laughs away at this as she does what she wants. With her naturally dark tresses, her tan skin, and red lip color; Adele wears clothing '70s-inspired looks with retro and cartoonish style to it. Her body is curvaceous which is why her bosom are big. And her legs are gorgeous. Adele's servants are also her glamour posse: Kessie Lesley, Jemima Padget, Corinne Harper, Theo Roman, Jared Parisdell, and Cassian Gillian. Kessie is a tall woman with large breasts and an alluring figure. She has short black hair with long strands on each side of her face which are curly. Jemima wore a yellow kimono with floral patterns. However, her kimono still shows a bit of her leg and she also has part of her hair tied into a small ponytail. And Corinne wore a bright blue dress, which looks as if it had been made out of flowers. On her shoulders are presumably wings and, at her head, both left and right glowing orbs are attached. Adele's mother, Mariah, has dark way tresses and her nose was straight and cute while her smile was big and bright that lights up everyone's heart when they see it. Adele’s confident that her body looks good. She knows her body is something any girl would want it’s great. They might think that she’s stupid because of it, but she doesn’t care because she knows she’s better than that. She knows that men would die for her. But what she really wants is to be admired and loved, because she’s awesome and has a bangin' bod. However; she will use and leave men heartbroken. And that’s the end. Because what she’d consider young puppy love never has a future. Especially since Adele Deimandis knows no better way to be in love than to take what she can get and run. Men to her are like bubblegum loses its taste, like a love maybe does after a short time. Adele just pushes him away, leaves some bite marks on him and a little bit of her. Even though young love isn’t going to last or turn into something real, she’s still going to jump into it. She wants to experience it and get what she can out of it. But she warns her guy that she’s going to mess him up and break his heart, because it’s delicate. She can pop it like bubblegum. Adele is a sad, lonely, dark twisted person, but this boy made her heart light up and he made her happy. So, Adele Deimandis presumably broke up with him, because she couldn’t let him into her heart. The reputation involves with other people’s boyfriends. She wants them because her for she thinks it’s her right to have them. She’s a homewrecker. Alternatively, she automatically assumes her boyfriend is perfect for her. But she knows there will become a time when something will happen and she won’t feel the same about him anymore. She wants other people’s boyfriends because they are the difficult things to get, which makes them more interesting so she must snatch the ones which are good. But for real, the good ones are partners that won’t hurt her, but she’ll have a hard time wooing them. The easy ones are far less reliable, but they are definitely easier to court. Before departing to the West; Adele shows up in a pale pink, cinched waist ensemble dress as she spins around in it. However she prances around as her mother enters, telling her it was time to go but Adele was still feeling spiffy in that dress she was saving for this special occasion but her mother interrupted: "Adele, stop making a spectacle of yourself! I'm only sending you here for one reason..." Her mother, Mariah, said while scolding. Adele sighed, "Yes, I know Mother." She replied. Smiling; Mariah holds out a box for her daighter, "My precious little girl: this a parting gift." Adele was annoyed, "Now, mother! I thought I told you..." Adele protested but her mother pulls out a pair of shoes from the box. Adele gasped with delight, "Jeweled shoes! Oh mother!" She said as she embraced her mother and pulls away as her mother says, "As befits the future governorness, take care of yourself. And try not to talk so much!" Mariah said. Adele nods, "I won't." She said. Mariah kissed her daughter's cheek as she tells her: "Have fun!" Then to the other servants of three young yet stunning women and three beautiful young men, she said: "Kessie! Jemima! Corinne! Theo! Jared! Cassian! Take good care of my beloved gem, understand?" All six of them agreed and Adele climbed in the carriage with the other glamorous posse. They traveled to the West for awhile, but after for awhile; they arrived at their destination. Adele had been sleeping for a bit however Theo leaned over and woke her up gently, Adele rubbed her eyes as Theo said with a hand gesture, "Here we are, m'lady! This is West!" He announced. Adele squinted, "What? Already?" She asked. "Yes, ma'm." Jared replied. Adele sighed, "What a shame." She said. As soon she stepped out with her posse; people cheered as she heard people spoke out: "OMG, do you know who that is? That's Adele Deimandis, that's Princess whose reputation is so scandalous!" Girls look on with disgusted expressions. Adele walks toward Monica, who is surprised to meet her. "Were you looking for something or someone?" asked Monica. Adele glanced around, "Uhhh yea... Monica Currie? I don't know... somewhere?" She said. Erica puts her arms around Monica and smiled, "Right here, my friend..." Adele brightened up and seized Monica's hand shaking it, "It is an honor to meet you!" She said. Monica managed to smile as she said, "You too." She said, "Welcome to the West." Adele expressed her excitement as her posse agreed. Madame Quincy appears as she had an idea: "Well, we want to ask if you'd be interested in perhaps sharing a room or maybe we can give you a room, how does that sound?" Madame Quincy suggested. Adele smiled with glee, "Oh, thank you for asking, but I've already been assigned a private suite..." But then, she begins to notice her servants' disappointment and then she said, "But you can all come visit me whenever you want!" She added. The three girls and three boys of her posse group hugged her, making her squirm a little. "Oh, Princess! How good of you!" Kessie gushed. "You're so good!" echoed Corinne. When they weren't looking, Erica taps Monica on the shoulder and pretends to throw up. Monica nudged her but both girls giggled as Adele protested: "No I'm not!" Her entourage cried out in sync, "Yes you are!" Irritated with the group hug; Adele pushed them away gently while exclaiming, "Now stop! Stop it! GIVE ME SPACE!!! She adjusted her hair and clothes before she swishes her hair. "Well, we have a party so if you want to come and join us." Monica suggested. Adele was thrilled by this as she and her posse went away. Erica rolled her eyes as she followed her friends. Una, Conner, Aiden, Fiachra, and Sirius also went away but the only one left was Monica as she turned to Madame Quincy and calls out, "Madame Quincy, may I ask a favor?" In the meantime; Adele was still in that dress as she was glamorizing herself and finished up. "Now I must accessorize myself for the party." Jemima pulls a hat out of one of Adele's hat boxes, the hat was a large red hat which was upwards on the sides and golden edges, with an extremely long, massive and spiky pink plumage. "Adele, what in the world!?" Corinne exclaimed. "Now, just pretend you didn't see that. My mother is always giving me the most ridiculously beautiful hats. I'd give it away, but I don't hate anyone that much." Adele explained. They managed to get ready and hurried to the party. Before they could go inside; Madame Quincy makes her way towards Adele and her posse. "Oh, Princess Adele?" She called. Adele and the others turned around, "Lady Madame Quincy...What are you doing here?" Adele asked. The madame took her aside and rummaged through her bag, "I have something for you." replied Madame Quincy. She hands her a blue gem necklace that sparkled like the ocean in the sun. Adele gasps, takes it as she almost dropped it and looks at it with tears in her eyes. "Oh...How can I ever express my graditude?" She asked with a genuine smile. Madame Quincy shakes her head while waving a hand, "Oh, don't thank me! This was Monica's idea, not mine." She said. Adele looked surprised, "What? Monica?" She said. Madame Quincy smiled and nodded, "Yes, Miss Currie requested that I include you in the ceremony for an inspirational speech. She insisted I tell you this very night." She said. Confused, Adele had to ask: "But... why?" Madame Quincy shrugs, "I have no idea. She is good to newcomers around here, especially with people like you." said Madame Quincy. She leaves as Theo comes up to Adele, "What is it?" He asked. Adele shrugged, "I got what I wanted..." She said. Theo looked concerned, "Then what's the matter?" He persisted gently. Adele tucks it away as she turned to him and smile, "Nothing..." Theo smiled, "Good. Let's go." He said. The other servants were happy to see everything was fine as they head to the party but stop as newcomers walks in. The others stop as they gasp and make comments for the way they are as a few laugh. Cassian was the first to comment, "Who are they?" He said. Adele saw them too, "I have no idea, Hey now--please, don't stare!" She scolded. Jared looked at her in amazement, "How can you help it?" He said. One of the newcomers was Venetia who turns and glares at the crowd as she heard that the chatter stopped and she & the three friends proceed to the other side of the party room. The other two, Colt and Megan, glared at them as they followed her. Adele looked surprised, "Well I'll say, she doesn't give a damn about what anyone else thinks. Same with these guys." commented Jemima. Adele has a look of guilt on her face, "Of course does, maybe she just pretends not to... I feel awful...For them." She said. The six servants glanced at her in surprise, "Why? It's not like it's your fault." Cassian assured her. But Adele left them as she told them, "Excuse me..." She walks over to Venetia, Colt and Megan as sh clears her throat. "May I cut in?" asked Adele. And she took Venetia's hands as they both had a good time. The next day after celebrating much overnight; Venetia and Adele barge into their suite. Adele is in hysterics. "Your very first party ever?! Your very first party!" She exclaimed happily. Then she realized it was lights up and checked the day when she realized it was a new day. "Oh look, it's tomorrow! Tia... do you mind if I call you Tia?" Adele asked. Venetia felt a little bit awkward but at ease, Well, it's a little perky....But no. I don't mind." She assured her. Adele squealed with excitement, "And you can call me... Adele. So... Tia... now that we're friends, I've decided to make you my new project!" She said. Venetia was nervous as she backs away while saying, "Uh...You really don't have to do that." Adele gently escourt her to the makeup room, "I know, that's what makes me so nice!" She said. Hours later, Adele was still giving Venetia the makeover, Venetia was nervous as she told Adele: "Adele? This isn't going to work!" Adele looked at her, she smiled at her: "Oh Tia, don't think that way anymore! Your whole life is going to change and all because of me. Okay, stand up, my Cinderella, for I will turn your frock into a beautiful ball gown!" She said. She managed to get out one of her dresses which was a pink, teal and navy floral butterfly print and bow like detailing on the neckline. When Venetia puts it on, Adele helped her adjust it and then told her, "Now, I'll show you how to flip your hair: Flip flip. Or you could use your hand." She helped her by demonstrating and then she squeals with delight. "Now, for the finishing touch." takes flower out of a vase, puts it into Venetia's hair. And stepped back in amazement, "Why, Lady Venetia, look at you, you're beautiful." She breathed as she hands her a mirror. Venetia was amazed, Adele was right--She was beautiful! "Adele, I--" She started to say but then there was a scream and Venetia rushed out but called out to her, "I have to go!" After she was gone, Adele said: "You're welcome." Once outside, Venetia managed to find Colt and Megan while trying to keep away from the monsters. "What's happening?" Colt said. Venetia realized what she caused as she tried to timidly explained, "I don't know I......" She stopped as her cheeks turned red. Colt looked around, "Alright just....don't get mad at me...Or Megan for that matter. He then took out his weapon and slayed the monster before turning to the other two girls, "Well are you coming?" He asked. Venetia nods, "Let's go!" said Venetia. She and Megan runs with him after he was fighting the monsters. "Careful, we don't want to ruin the place." Venetia said. Colt was annoyed to hear this, "Don't you think that I realize that? You must think I'm really stupid or something!" He said. Megan added, "No, you're not really stupid." She was concerned. She didn't know what was going on and it scared her. While battling the monsters; Colt couldn't help but asked, "Why is it that every time I see you you're causing some sort of commotion?" Venetia rolled her eyes, "Maybe because I am one." She shouts. "And I happen to be genuinely self-absorbed and deeply shallow." Megan looked at her in surprise, "No you're not. Or you wouldn't be so unhappy." She said. "Hey, I could go all day and if you ladies don't need my help..." called Colt but Venetia managed to say, "No, we do!" And they got out of there. Once afterwards, the three of them were catching their breaths. Megan looked at Colt and gasps softly, "Oh look, you're bleeding... those things...they must have scratched you." She said. Colt looked at the cut on his face and smiled a little, "Yeah... they did scratched me. I better get to safety... I mean, get first aid for this stupid cut." And he walks away. Megan looked after him, "Colt..." She muttered with concern. Venetia wrapped an arm around her and said, "It's OK. He'll be fine." Megan smiled, nodding. "Yes, you're right." She replied. The next morning, Adele stood on the podium of the welcoming ceremony for her with the necklace around her neck. She tapped the microphone gently to make sure it was on and then, spoke into it: "Fellow people of the West, let us....celebrate! Oh what a celebration we'll have today, let's have a celebration the Adele Way!" Adele said. The audience cheered however Adele felt a tap on her shoulder, so she said to the crowd: "Excuse me for just a moment!" She turned and saw Monica handing her a piece of paper of her speech. Adele smiles as she then turned to the crowd and begins to read a speech titled 'Capable of Greatness': "You can be the best as long as you try and use your abilities to the fullest and believe in yourself. If you work, you can be the best at anything you want to be. You can be strong. Anything is possible when you put your mind to it. You can live by your own schedule and not have anyone controlling you. Living longer. If you were enough dedicated into living a longer life, your human passion and dedication will make you go and do all sorts of stuff to make that happen. All because you CAN DO IT! You can do anything as long as you believe and persevere. Nothing’s impossible, you can break free of whatever’s restraining you." During her speech; Adele's reading caused everyone to feel empowered by those words. Monica, Conner, and their friends smiled as Adele continued, "If you apply yourself, you can be the master of everything. You can do whatever you want if you set your mind to it, instead of just waiting around and hoping something will happen. MAKE it happen. Dedication, passion, and faith is all you need. Work hard to achieve your goals and you could end up, well, in the hall of fame. You can do the toughest things with ease if wish to and apply yourself. Even hell can’t be a problem for you if you do that. Just try it. Most people never develop their biggest talent because they don’t try. Do whatever you are doing for the people that got you there. Do it so you can always be proud of yourself and others can be too. You’ll never know what things are like if you never actually try them. You’ve got nothing to lose. You could one day represent your country and make it proud." She took a deep breath, "You are capable of greatness because you can make things happen for your talents are what makes you successful. Never give up and believe in yourself." And it was over. There was a slow clap coming from Monica before everyone applauded to that speech as Adele smiled with delight.

Adele is after success and she’ll not slow down her pace for a relationship that she doesn’t have time for. She won’t soften the grip she has around the fame she’s striving towards. Celebrity status is often short-lived, but terribly exciting. Hedonism is the order of the day. She rather throw all her financial security away for parties. Media has brainwashed her into conformity; she has developed an obsessive need to change herself in order to be successful. Adele has her mind and heart obsessed on what she wants to do with her life. If she doesn’t become an artist, she’ll be depressed and ruined that she’s not. Insecurities are rife nowadays, with the media’s unrelenting obsession with success. It feels like the anxiety one gets studying for a hard test. Thus she puts on a front of bravado and cockiness, so to hide her doubts. It is incredibly easy to succumb to materialism and vanity, due to how prominent they are in popular culture. She is going to live and have glorious times in her life but inevitably she will dwindle and die like everyone else. Vacuous celebrity types live on fame. Without it, they’ve unknown; they might as well be dead. It finally sets in that she’s a star, whether she likes it or not. Celebrities without much of an opinion are often criticized for being like robots. This sort of inoffensive nature tends to bring success, though. And that she’s now. Adele is slowly becoming as bland and neutral as the people around her. She proclaims that she saw her new conformity coming from a mile away, and that she is fearing for her individuality as a person. As if society and her relatives are trying to change Adele and who she is as a person. And they won’t stop bothering her! Adele will accomplish her dreams if she puts enough practice and effort into her singing career, proving society wrong when it tries to tell her that it won’t work out. Society urges her to take the easy road, the one that everybody travels on. She has her doubts about this, resulting in an inner conflict that everybody is confronted with at some point. Being positive in something doesn’t mean you will actually succeed in it. She is asked: "Do you have it all? Will people appreciate you for that?" Because society or her relatives, who are always going to be up in her face, pressuring her to do one thing or another. It’s impossible to escape. She intends to let society to tell her what to do, because she is uncertain about herself and is willing to give into that weakness even though it isn’t what she wants to do. Let's face it: Adele finally found the success she was looking for but is stressing out about it because she’s scared it might not be exactly what she wanted. She knew this was it, it was all going to change, and she began to have absent minded second thoughts about whether this will all go according to plan. Adele pretended all the time to be happy for having got what she always wanted, but actually she did that only to convince herself that she really wanted it. As a teenager growing up, Adele always said she wanted to be famous, living her dream come true goal as well as pursuing her love for music. But teachers, family members and friends for example, will have doubted her unrealistic ambitious dreams, telling her that would never happen. It shouldn’t be her problem that other people can’t seem to agree with her. It’s her life she should be allowed to live it as she sees fit. Disregard for what other people have to say about her goals and career. Many have doubted Adele in the past, and she doesn’t care about people’s doubts, that she’ll still tread on and fight for what she wants. At the same time, Adele’s thirst for success and for her goal is never quenched; she’s always on the move and desires for more, despite her accomplishments. She wished they would not worry about her, she is in control of how she will make it and to what degree. More than the usual need to succeed, they say Adele is greedy for success so she’s overbearing in the work she puts in to get there. Nobody else’s business what she wants to do, because it’s her life, and that nobody can stop her from doing what she wants to do. Her problems are her problems, people who are judging her and discussing her problems are irrelevant, she is warning people not to be concerned about what she’s doing and to leave her be, she can handle this her own way without criticism. She wants success and is unhappy with the state of her life as is. However, she doesn’t know for sure that success will make her happy once she gets it. It’s quite the cliche that once all your dreams come true and you get the fame you desired, you’re left alone with your riches, totally unfulfilled. Adele cannot help but wonder whether if people are happy with their average or unnoticed life is okay with them. When Adele was a teenager living an average life, she did not like it, she always dreamed of making it big, and so now she has made it. "Do you need to pretend you are something you’re not?" She wondered and thought of the people who have ever doubted her. She remembered how underneath all the glamorizing style to her life, she was depressed and alone: Her tears hit the ground as she moves slowly through the sadness in her life, all alone, she has nothing but tears. Adele is weak and she feels vulnerable to the attacks of people who she deems to be superior to her. Adele is starved of love, starved of happiness and satisfaction, starved of comfort with nowhere to feel like she belongs, no one to turn to for protection. She chokes on all she has left She continues to search for anything that can make her feel accepted and give her the satisfaction she has been searching for. Adele is out on the streets and is hungry. She hopes to give herself just a little bit of happiness, she doesn’t feel like she belongs--She's a kingdom but she lost her king. Everywhere Adele goes, she is rejected. With every rejection, she is growing more unlikable and desperate. Roots usually refer to someone’s emotions. A tree needs roots to grow. People need emotions to survive. Adele is getting colder and colder every time someone rejects her. They are taking away everything that is love able in her. Adele warns anyone near her to never make her angry or upset, and she threatens them by saying she knows how to use a gun. Whilst everybody is talking and laughing, Adele struggles to find the right words to say, she knows she has nothing in common with these people, and so she hesitates whether to join conversations. She’s good at putting up walls to protect herself from getting hurt by others. She knows she can’t pretend to be somebody she’s not in this social circle where she doesn’t belong, so she decides she’s going to leave them and go back into the dark. She doesn’t feel like she fits in at all, she thinks these people around her are nothing like her and this makes her feel very anxious about what they could be thinking about her. At this point, she has probably took herself to the bathroom for some space to think, and as she is looking at herself in the mirror, she realises that she is nothing like these people and that she shouldn’t be here. Adele wonders whether she should carry on mingling with people she knows she doesn’t belong with so that she’s not alone, or whether she should go back to being alone and isolated. That night, Adele lying down in her bed alone and she isn’t able to move but she isn’t able to sleep either. Drinking to numb the pain of life. This memory of her walking away keeps replaying in her mind over and over again. Adele feels ashamed and pain because she walked away! Her nights are spent over thinking and over analyzing so she wonders when morning will come to relieve her. She thought if she had some and thought about her worldly riches it would take her mind off how poor she is when it comes to sentimental things such as love. She drinks to drown her sorrows, but it only makes her feel guiltier and guiltier. Adele feels high in spirits while drinking, because feeling high is worth the tears and pain. Her nights are spent over thinking and over analyzing so she wonders when morning will come to relieve her. One morning; Adele has woken up as stressed as she was when she fell asleep, due to one of her damaged love affairs, she needs something to calm the nerves before facing another day of the painful reality of the situation. She and her hooked up lover wash their sheets and brush their teeth. The two lovers have had a disagreement of some sort before bed, due to their obsessive ways of handling things, maybe related to relationships. And someone in this relationship is now crying, whilst they both lay in bed and contemplate the events, the other is trying to sleep but is disturbed by the others cries. One minute the whole relationship seems so perfect and innocently invincible, the next minute reality hits them that they are no good for each other, they are bad news to each others health, but they are obsessed with all this. The pressure to get it right is so overwhelming that she has to escape, even if it means going without food for a week. He’s never truly opened up to her and shared his feelings and their relationship has suffered from it. Something takes over in her mind and how her life involves doing certain things to stop bad things from happening and the bad thoughts. Whilst Adele hugs the man, she can’t help but think all of the bad things this relationship is doing to her, how much it is hurting her, and although they are getting on fine now, she knows that it wont be long until they are arguing and abusing each other again. But Adele wants to ignore all the bad things, and just wants it to be perfect. She wants to forget the negative aspects of their relationship and to continue on as if there is nothing wrong. Their relationship isn’t as strong as they thought because they haven’t had intimate conversations about anything and everything, they never really knew each other. Whether it be what made that strong or what made him crumble. She feels like a less diminished version of herself around him. She feels as if she is seen as an ignorant being and takes a back seat to the man she mentions in the previous lines whenever she is in the presence of others with him. She starts to feel restless whenever she is the same place for too long. She’s ready for a change. Something big happened before she went too far, friends and family hadn’t seen the side of the person that so they told her that they aren't so nice. She doesn’t think so. She felt as if something was taking over inside her, she was losing her mind. She knew she wasn’t the same person she used to be, she was changing for the worse and this was beginning to scare her, so she went to the doctors for help and advice. The affection Adele feels for this guy is starting to take over her body without her being able to stop it. Now she knows if she wants to make good, she has to do good and make a change for herself as well as be compassionate yet selfless to others. "If I make good, so I'll make good." Adele promised herself. And so, she will!
