Chapter 6: Excitement and Heartbeats of a Strange Girl

In the bright light of the morning sun, there was bustling going on. A chimera ran like a cheetah, it sprinted and grunted. “Faster, fool! Run faster than that!” It said to itself. But the chimera felt a drop kick jolted him as it tumbled down a hill. The chimera growled in pain as the boot stepped on its throat. The chimera tried to struggled when a glass-like knife pierced its heart, it let out an ear splitting screeched as a female’s voice said, “Damned creature. I sent thee back from once you came.” The chimera yelled as it turned to dust. The chimera killer stood up, revealing to Briar. She wore a pink rash guard top and black cargo pants with black and pink sneakers. “Nice. Very nice, Brie.” Hervey complimented. “That was sooo kewl!” Ostadar squealed. Briar flipped her hair confidently, “Tch, it was no big really.” remarked Briar. “Well, another job well done.” Demetri said. Briar nodded, “C’mon. Let’s go.” She said. And the four of them hurried away. They were going to see this circus however there was something spooky that made Briar and her three friends suspicious. The others in the audience thought it was part of the fun but when the vampires and other monsters are shown, screams are heard. Briar is shocked by this. With an excited grin, Briar ready to spring: "All right, let's get dangerous!" She jumps and heads over to fight the vampires. Once the vampires and other monsterss were dealt with, the people were awed before they showed their gratitude. But then she felt someone hugging her. She looked to see a little boy was the one hugging her, "Yes! You saved us! We owe you one!" said the boy. Briar is embarrassed, she never wanted this kind of attention but it was nice for the appreciation. Just then, she clutched her head as she begins to recall a forgotten memory: Briar remembered that she went to another school eventually. Thinking she would find a safe haven. In the beginning, she made some friends and the teachers were nice at first and met her first crush. But slowly, she became a bullied victim where she received unwanted attention that the bullies were attracted to her, they always asked her constantly ‘What’cha writing about?’ They laugh at her, pick on her and they knew shewas afraid of basketballs or any other objects as they threatened to throw one, she cowered in fear and they laughed as they walk away from her. Jerks! One of the bullies was a black mane curly haired teen boy who pesters her. He was short, he was Spanish but he was white skinned. He one time flashed his butt at her. However she befriend some girls, who talked to her. They want to get to know her, they were rude and interrupted her by ranting. But then, one of them betrayed Briar by spreading an awful, untrue rumor. Saying she was writing a song about a boy she like but it wasn’t true and thought every thing almost was a joke to her. Some other girls found out and made fun of her. They weren't true friends, they didn't get me and Briar stopped hanging out with them. The teachers and staff, they weren’t helpful, she used to cut classes because she hate it. She hated this stupid school, she hated the bullies, she hated the teachers, and the staff who didn't help her with the bullies. In reality, Roland found her in a daze: "Everything OK?" He asked. "Yeah, fine." replied Briar, "I just remembered something else...." She then told her friends on the memory she discovered. In the meantime; there once a petite young lady by the name of Katherine Donovan, who is known as a writer name called 'Donna Katz'. Katherine wore a sleeveless top, with fitted V-neck and a lace-up detailing and zip front closure and on her feet were over-the-knee socks. She likes to wear T-shirts with quote from Alice in Wonderland: Down the rabbit hole, Drink Me--Eat Me, Curiousier and curiousier, Mad as a hatter, Callooh Callay, We're all mad here, You're nothing but a pack of cards, and Would You? Won't You? Honestly, Cassandra's life is almost like Alice in Wonderland. Nobody knows she has supernatural powers that could be useful.

That's when Katherine's powers of telepathy, clairvoyance, and memory manipulation were a combination to give her an adrenaline rush inside her body as the visions were inside her mind:  Alec, Dorian, Gwynn, Phoebus, and Corey take down the zombies with Marian alongside them. In the meantime, Once the gang took care of the zombies; they went inside but when they got in, they were surprised to find that it looked like a normal room, than a dark and damp cave. “This is the Sleeping Princess’s chamber? Is the treasure inside?” asked Marian. Phoebus nodded, “Yes, we’re getting closer. I can feel it.” He was right, they were getting closer. Gwynn looked around to see flowers, there was archer of flowers. “Look at these flowers, they represent something of a funeral.” He remarked. “It almost looks like a memorial site.” noted Marian. The others walked through the archer; they were surprised to find that the so-called treasure was a white coffin. Gold on the side, painted flowers on the front. “This is the strangest treasure chest I have ever seen.” noted Gwynn. “Do you think a dead body is in there?” asked Dorian. Marian grimaced, “Oh gross…” She said. Phoebus looks around, “Where’s the key?” She asked. Corey looked around as well, he saw something shimmer in the flowers, and she reaches in and pulls out the silver object. “Got it, it’s here.” He took the key, she place it in the lock of the casket and turns it before the lid snaps open. Something glowed inside. When they look inside; they gasped in amazement, in this casket was a young girl. Blonde haired, fair skin, petite hands, small feet, and she wore a lavender dress with whitish purple shoes. But she had an amazing beauty to her. “She’s beautiful.” breathed Dorian. “I never seen anyone as young as her.” said Gwynn. “She looks like an angel.” said Marian. Alec grazed her cheek, his hand went behind her head and he felt something in her head. “What is this? A hairpin?” He leaned over to the girl but heard her breathing. Alec pulled away, he put two fingers on the unconscious girl’s throat. He gasped with fear. “Guys…She’s alive!” He said. The others are in dazed. “What?” asked Marian, her eyes widened. "How long she’s been in here?” inquired Corey. “I’m not sure but I’m going to try and pull it out.” said Gwynn, he carefully pulled the pin from her head. Suddenly, to both of their surprise, the girl’s head wound closed up--making a squishy sound. The girl woke up. She sat up, clutching her head.  “Are you OK?” asked Gwynn. The girl jumped. She backs away fearfully. “Sorry, we didn’t mean to scare you.” Dorian assured her. “Who are you people?”  The girl asked. “We’re good people.” Marian replied. “What’s your name, sweetheart?” asked Phoebus. The girl replied shyly, “Briar.” “Do you have a last name?” Corey asked. “I don’t remember.” said Briar said, sadly. “What about your parents? How old are you?” asked Marian. “I don’t know! I don’t remember anything!” cried Briar. She looks away from the surprised faces, “I’m sorry.” She whispered. Alec gingerly carried her, “C’mon. Let’s get you out of here.” He said. The boys, Marian, and the mysterious girl walked out of the cave. But the zombies appeared to ambush them, Briar gasped, clutching onto Samael tightly and hid her face. They managed to get her back safe and sound so she can rest. And she did in a different building. In the meantime at a hotel; Briar looked over at the skyline and saw a beautiful sunrise. "Wow. It looks like it's going to be a great day." murmured Briar. She saw people walking by the beach but she saw something strange along the shore. It looked like a body however from the distance she was at; it was hard to tell. Briar left the balcony and went down to the beach. She went over to the body, which was a young man: He looked like 15 to 17 years of age, dark brown hair, and he was a good looking boy there. "A boy? How--" Briar wondered. She puts her ear to his chest, Briar listened for a moment, and then she gasped. This boy was alive, much to her amazement, this lovely creature was still breathing! "Impossible, no boy such as he would ever survive by himself." Briar thought. Gingerly; She placed her hands on his shoulders and shook him gently. "Hey, boy? Are you OK? Please, wake up?" chided Briar, softly. The boy stirred in his sleep and moaned, then he opened his eyes. My, what beautiful eyes he had--Blue green magnetic pools of those pupils. He saw Briar, startled he sat up. "You--you saw me here?" He asked, stammering. "Oh, of course." Briar replied. "I saw you lying there, I thought for a second you were dead." The boy panicked, he pulled out a knife, he aimed at his heart and prepared to kill himself. "NO!!!!" Briar cried, she seized his wrist as she struggled the knife away from him. The boy didn't have the energy to fight back, he looked weary and exhausted. Well, for someone who washed up on shore; he didn't look so good. Briar seemed upset, "What in the hell would you try to kill yourself like that? Don't you know what life has in store for you? Don't do this to yourself, please!" She ranted but stopped as she had no point in talking to the boy. The boy stare at her with a stoic look, then he stood up and ran off. Briar watched him go, she wondered of his erratic behavior. "Who was that boy?" Briar thought.  Suspicious of the criminals being burnt alive and unsolved mysteries to how criminals are punished for their remorseless and wicked deeds. Briar was getting dubious by the minute; she believes that the snide, bravado, and elusive rich boy 18 year old Seth Jace is behind all this. She wasn't sure what was going on but she was going to find out. However, she encountered Seth's younger brother name Isadore. "I'm sorry, my brother is unavailable. If you want, I can set up an appointment for another time..." Isadore explained. Isadore was Seth's little brother and assistant to a group called Tsunami, they have been close ever since childhood. But the difference between them is Sandaphon was much nicer than his jerk off big brother. "Isadore, I am not leaving, I like to make one measly complaint with the burnt up criminals and how they are burnt alive that way. There is something going on and I like to know what it is." demanded Briar. Isadore sighed, he ran his fingers through his hair. "Look, this isn't a good time. My brother had suffered a mental breakdown and needs his rest. I apologize." He explained. Briar has no choice but to accept defeat; she let out a sigh. "Damn." She thought. Briar exhaled, "Fine then." She said, "But when he wakes up and all better, tell him this--My team and I are on his tail and we are observing him very closely. If he is responsible for burning those criminals alive, there won't be any mercy from anyone of us."  Isadore nodded, "Sure thing. I'll tell him that when he wakes up." He said.

Briar looked like she was leaving but she sneaked to the staircase. "Sorry, Seth. But I'm not leaving until I get some answers." She thought. Briar went up the stairs, that went to the rooftop. She couldn't help but feel paranoid, "Do I ever get the feeling I'm being followed?" She thought. Realizing what she was thinking; Briar brushed this off by laughing it off. "Ha, stupid." She mumbled. Briar reached the rooftop and looked over at the skyline. "There's nobody here. Weird!" She thought. Then, she heard a scritch-scratch sound behind her. Slowly; she turned around. "H--Hello?" She called. Nobody answered, but there was that sound again. And it was getting closer. Briar pulled out her gun, ready to use it. "Come on out, I don't know who you are but I know you're out there." She warned. Suddenly, there it was--It was a monster, which resembled something inhuman. It had horned wings on its back, and bared its fangs. It snarled at the horrified Briar. "Good Lord! What is that abomination? I never seen anything like it." She breathed. The creature pounced Briar, it growled and snarled more. Blood dripped from its mouth. Its eyes glowed of red. But the rabbit creature cried out in pain and fell to the floor dead. Trembling yet relieved; Briar examined the dead monster bunny. Just then, she felt a shadow upon her. She looked up to see that it was the same boy she saw at the shore. "It's you." Briar gasped. She gets up and faced him. "What are you doing here? Are you involved with Seth? Just tell me, who are you? Really?" Briar asked. The boy looked at her apathetically before pulling out a gun. "Sorry." He said, "Time to say goodbye." Briar looked at him, terrified. The boy looked at her face, somehow she reminds him of someone he once knew. He then saw a vision of a girl with blonde hair. Pretty baby blue eyes. And she wore white and blue clothes with a hint of transparent clothing of sash and sleeves of the outfit. "Alec, I beg of you. Please, save--" She said with plea. The boy, Alec, trembled as be begin to clutch his head. "No, sis I--Clara." He muttered as he lowered his gun. "Clara, I'll never let you die. Don't die..." Briar looked at him with concern, "Hey, are you OK? You look unwell. Can I get you a drink of water or something to eat?" She asked. Alec took a step back, "Please. Stay away, stay back. I--" He muttered. Flashback etched in his mind of him as a young boy and the beautiful Ariel smiling at him. Alec, in reality, was so in devastation. "Clara..." He whispered. Then, Alec nearly fell on his face but Briar caught him in his arms. "Who in the world is Clara?" She thought. While walking back to her apartment; Briar turned around to see who it was, but she saw that no one was there. Briar kept walking, a little faster however the person who was stalking her was closing in on her. Briar quickly turned around to face her stalker. She was surprised to see that it was--Seth. "Oh, it's only you." Briar said coldly. "What do you want?" "I just want to talk to you." replied Seth. "I would like to thank you for saving Alec." This made Briar suspicious. "I wasn't doing it for you, I was saving innocent lives who were at stake." She snapped. Seth nodded, "That's what I like about you." He answered. "Selfless. Caring. And your powers continued to amazed me." Seth then reached into the back and said, "I got something that will make your eyes sparkle." He pulled out a slim box and hands it to her. Briar took it curiously, she opened the box to see a necklace of white pearls with a sea blue charm to the necklace. "Oh, it's so pretty. You got this for me?" Briar asked, touched by his kindness. "Yes. For your heroic efforts that is." replied Seth but a smirk appeared on his face. "I feel you need to be more honored in a special way, like...Maybe joining me in a more--burning sensation." He said. Briar's face fell, she closed the box and glared at him. "I can't believe this! First, you give me this gift. And now you tell me this? Oh no, I don't think so. I'll take your gift but I'll have to refuse your offer." She said. Seth was disappointed by this news. "Hmph. That's a shame, really." He said. "I am not fighting crime by burning criminals to a crisp. I won't. Never!" Briar declared. Then, she storms away. Seth watches her go before a smirk appeared on his face. "Oh, I'll make you change your mind. You'll be writhing in pain until I hear you sing your acceptance to my offer." He said to himself, he chuckled in a sinister matter. That night after everyone went to bed; Briar begins to have a strange dream where an angler fish, a white kind, chased after tiny fish and bite into some sort of coral that looked like a brain. And then, Briar wakes up with a start, "What? Why am I awake?" She wondered. Then, her eyes glowed a whitish blue colored pupil as her activated as it destroyed the place. "What is going on?" She thought. Watching her movements are being controlled; Seth snickers quietly of this. Her powers were losing control and was going out of line. Perfect! Briar tried to restrained herself of her movement to her arms and legs but she couldn't. It was hopless! Briar didn't understand what was going on and it was scaring her. Seth sneered, "Got you now." He thought. Isadore glanced at his older brother, he didn't like this one bit. Not at all. It wasn't good to him.

Meanwhile, Briar's neighbor woke up to hear bumps in the night and hurried over to see what was going on, he was shocked to see Briar's limbs moving on their own and she's not doing this. "What the hell?" He exclaimed. "It--It's not me, I feel like I'm being mind controlled." Briar protested. Then, she could hear a voice in her mind sniggering. "Guess you know what I can maneuver." said the voice in her mind. Briar was shocked, anger fired up in her chest. "Seth Jace, what the hell are you doing in my head, you bastard?" demanded Briar. Seth leered at her, "You refused my offer. Nobody refuses me and gets away with it! So now you have to pay. You see, that lovely necklace I gave you had a virus which the virus injected into your neck and traveled up to you brain. Making more of a movement in your limbs, by my control. It's both painful in both body and mind." He explained. Briar gritted her teeth, "Son of a bit--" She remarked but her arms twisted around and she grimaces in great anguish. "Uh-uh! Watch your tongue. Say one more bad word or disrespect me, and you. will. die." threatened Seth. Fear flooded her face, "You wouldn't." growled Briar. "I would. Back talk towards me and you won't get to breathe ever again!" warned Seth viciously. "Get out of my head, Seth! Leave. Me. ALONE!!!!" begged Briar. "You can't stop me, Briar. I can control every muscle, every nerve, every vessel in your body." Seth declared, laughing insanely. He then made Calypso run away with her looking back at her neighbor. The neighbor was shocked of what was happening so he rushed over to get help. Briar was lured over to the corporation of Tsunami, she tried to fight back from entering in there but she knew it was no use and fell to the ground as Seth laughed with insanity. Then, Briar writhed on the floor. Her body parts--Hands, fingers, toes, feet, and legs--were twisted around on their own. "Stop....Please, stop! I can't take much more of this...." She begged. "Accept my offer and I'll let you breathe!" Seth replied. "NEVER!" screeched Briar. "Fine. I'll make you suffer more and more...AND MORE!" cried Seth. Isadore gasped, "No! What about the reason why we are punishing the remorseless and apathetic kinds? Brother, don't do this!" He thought. Briar begin to cry, it was too much for her to bare all this pain. "Help....Me....Please!" She thought through her tears. As she wept of her tears; A shimmering light appears before her. Briar looked up, she saw that it was an angel, she wore white. "Who are you?" Briar asked. "Hush, do not cry my daughter. I have come to save you from your pain." replied the angel. All of a sudden; Seh couldn't believe what he was seeing, "What--?" He said. Just then he was seized by six hands and looked up to see who it was. "What the hell is going on? What did you two do to her?" demanded Marian. "It was big brother's idea really!" protested Isadore truthfully. "You've gone too far! What happened to what we stand for? Why we do this?" Phoebus reminded. Seth was shocked, he realized why and it suddenly came back to him. His family, his childhood, it was taken. He wanted revenge on the people that done this. "Never do this again, because this is not what any of us signed up for. We must not hurt her, no one innocent such as this girl." Alec said. Back in the present; Katherine felt her heart beating like a drum. Her body covered in goosebumps while also adrenaline filling in her up. She feel the excitement as she can only catch the heart beat when the other person is out of reach from her grasp. She never knew how much she had isolated herself this much and was afraid of coming out. She hated the loud noises and hated things like laugh tracks, loud places, anything that didn't make her feel at ease with sounds than she wouldn't feel good. She was always feeling this way, she always been like this ever since she was little. All the tantrums, all the pain she felt, and all the terror she had been feeling. She remembered that she suffered of a hallucination where she was famous and then there was someone like an announcer that said: "She's beautiful, with a witty sense of humor and a smile. She'll win your heart with her light novel stories." The announcer said, "Please give a warm welcome to Mrs Donna Katz!" Applause went around and Katherine's voice said, "It's a pleasure to be here." The host said, "It's a pleasure to have you." Katherine smiled and said: "Thank you, my honorable man. I would like to say hello to my beautiful, successful mother, Valeria and all the people that cared about me. Emily, Joan, Tanya and Sybil." More applause and the host said, "It's almost that time. Are you ready?" The girl nodded, "I'm ready." She said. But her dreams turned into nightmares by her persona demons and Katherine was shouting: "What are you doing here? Why are you here? What do you want?" She demanded. Then, she heard a voice: "Look at this. It's disgusting." Katherine threw her hands up in exasperation, "What do you expect? Could you do any better? It's an old building. It hasn't been painted in years.  I'm alone, I don't have friends and I'm not popular! You don't understand. Please. I'll explain." She said tearfully. She then heard the audience. Laughing and laughing at her. She covered ears, she wanted it to stop. Then she heard one voice said, "So is that like being retarded?" The second one said: "You should be very proud of yourself. You seem so normal. I couldn't tell that you're special needy." And the third taunted: "You're not like my child; you can write a blog post. My child will never be able to write a blog post." and a fourth voice said, "You have no right to claim to speak for people who can't speak for themselves." Then, the laughter and chanting that went "Cretin!" continues. Katherine cowers away as she shouted: "I just wanna be a writer! Please!" Then, she has another vision inside her mind: Just then, a storm came in and ruined the party. The others tried to evacuate however Roland and Elphin were thrown overboard as both boys fell unconscious, Briar jumped in and saved the two boys while she pulled them to shore. "Are they dead?" Briar asked. "I don't know." said Ostadar. "Maybe we shall chant an incantation to rise him from the dead." "I think you've been reading too much comics, Columbo." said Hervey. "Hmm, I hear his heart beating......And his too......" said a voice that sound high pitched. "They are?" gasped Briar. "Wait, it sounds faint...No, his heart is pulsing. Yes, he is living after all." said Demetri. "Yes, I knew it." said the girl happily. She put her hand running through Roland's hair. "He is so beautiful...They both are..." mused the girl's voice. "Maybe this will stop you from fighting." Then, she begins to sing a song: "Dreaming of all the places, if you would come with me. Escape from the pain, find peace inside where I am. So I can be part of your life, your world....wanting to stay and be with you." Stirring slowly in his sleep; Roland was astounded, confused by this pretty song of a siren voice. "Wha--?" He thought. Turning to Elphin; Briar begins to sing again, "Dreaming of all the places, if you would come with me. Escape from the pain, find peace inside where I am. So I can be part of your life, your world....wanting to stay and be with you." Roland found his words, "Oh....Wow......" He murmured. "....That was beautiful." Elphin said softly. Briar smiled dreamingly until she heard Isabella and the other two boys calling for her so Briar and her friends escaped but from afar, Briar sings: "....Escape from the pain, find peace inside where I am. So I can be part of your life, your world....wanting to stay and be with you..." The nex day, Briar was floating on the beach water as she went up and down on a surf board, but she had a miserable look on her face. Simply falling in love with someone, whether she feels the same way or not, is nowhere near a “sin”. It is seemingly out of her control. All bodies of water eventually end up in the ocean. The water has no choice in that matter. In her eyes, she and her crush, Briar, are the same. She knows that she really is being rather foolish by being willing to trust a boy she probably has not known for very long that she is just falling in love with him. Briar is in her delusions that she will be played with or rejected by two loves. In her delusional world; Briar feels like she can't be with the one she loves. Sometimes as she is by herself she feels better. Reality is a hard thing to face when you begin to think about it. Briar feels like she is just acting, and is not being real. Katherine feels like she’s so close to these people that she can feel her own excited heartbeat!

And then, she has another vision and another adrenaline rush: The pool was vast and a clear blue, the sun shines down with light making it all sparkling like magic. Standing before it was a young woman with light brown hair long enough to reach her shoulders. Her bangs were parted away, letting a little bit of her forehead exposed, making them look like a curtain. Her eyes were light blue, her skin was so fari in the sunlight. She wore a one-piece bathing suit, it was blue mixed with orange, yellow, and green like a sunset on an island. This girl was Miranda Tempest, she's around the ages of 16 to 17 years old and was innocent, naive, beautiful, and a sweet young lady. Her bosom size could be either a B or a C however she is unaware about that, she's oblivious to her beauty and how virtious she looks. With goggles on her head, Miranda dipped her foot in the pool's staircase and put the other in. She shivered a bit but she cautiously took another step of the stairs in the pool and gulped; holding back a scream. Another step as she could see her knees are under the water and finally, she did a midjump into the water. She let out a gasping yelp while she couldn't believe how undeniably cold it was! "How's the water, sweetheart?" Her mother, Aimee, called out. "It's freezing!" Miranda answered. She placed on the goggles and begin to swim underwater, looking up as the sunrays was shining down on her like she was a mermaid under the ocean floor. She swam a little bit more, before coming up to the surface for air. There was a portable music player, on a device of portable speakers boom box that played music of a playlist for the swimming pool. Miranda listened to a song that talks about a rarest relationship where both individuals have same interests and how they are genuinely intrigued by what each has to say. Anytime she listens to this song, Miranda has this image in her head of her locking eyes with an unknown boy and slowly leaned over and kissed him but soon she snapped out of her reverie when the song ended. She did not understand why was she having that illusion and swam more as other songs played. That's when a song plays, which was about coming of age and loss of innoncence while having regrets. For Miranda, she came from a good family. Her mother Aimee and her father Hal always loved her very much. However, Miranda was an only child but she was a good girl and comes off as perfect; even though she isn't. She was a chastizing young lady who never interacted with boys but she hasn't found anyone interested to her. Though Miranda is happy to be herself but people always persuaded her to go to house parties and get wasted. But Miranda was not like most people, which makes her different from the rest and likes herself the way she is. She also loves to go swimming but her mother was concerned about the stormy weather around where they lived. She also heard that a hurricane is coming here possibly. After swimming for hours; it was time to get out and Miranda looked at the pool with a faint smile, strangely bidding it a farewell. While changing in the bathroom; Miranda couldn't help but noticed in the mirror on how much of a woman she's growing up to be but fails to see the beauty but only sees a girl with a thin body and proper amples that weren't too big or two small. She then changed into cozy clothes of pants and a T-shirt. She doesn't dress in tank tops, shorts, or skirts....Unless she's out somewhere. Whn it all comes down to it, she struggles of being different and wanting people to love her just as she is. It was her first day of summer and she was happy to get away from those people at school--Miranda deals with pressure from peers and she couldn't understand why life was so confusing. There's many stories about the unknown, questions of why are people and what comes next in their chapter of their lives. What is their connections and purposes. But Miranda likes how she can see rainbows after a storm, rainbows are so beautiful though they don't endure struggles and conflict people go through. Some folks might look at a rainbow as a vision of color--How it represents a symbol of faith or hope. Over in their place, there's one thing for sure: In this world they all lived in; everybody was a child once. Sometimes people don't think like a grown up nor they don't act like a child but are in that spot of fine, yet clean and unspoiled in the world that makes them all forget! However, it's faith and supersition that is man-made but it is being an illusion nevetheless it can affect people in a magical way almost. The sam way that hope is something that can only exist if believed and it can elevate people to do great things as it's true magic! Everyone wants to believe in things geater than itself, others ponders over implications as the sky above has been the center of myths and beliefs that involved in star-wishing, horoscopes, and stories about constellations. There's a connection Miranda has between reality and dreams, she wished that the two to match up even if it seems unlikely that they can. And she hasn't found that connection of actuality in her situation and the hope behind her aspirations, even remaining optimisic as one day that dreams and reality will become the same in one world. Miranda is a dreamer, not a lover and she's something else! She wants adventure while escaping from those that brought pressure upon her for not being like the other girls. Where she's not judged and one day, she'll find people who will be kind to her. She will be loved for who she is just as she loves herself for being her. Miranda's parents knew their daughter wasn't happy with school in the last two years and the previous two was OK--It changed when she move to higher grades. She heard about a land called Murias, which was in the west and longs to go there one day if she can. In the meantime; loud noises of a storm with thunder and lightning. The captain showed up and called out, "FERRAND!!!" On cue, a young teen boy and his dog--a wolf looking puppy--approached. The boy was Ferdinand Alphone but his friends called him 'Ferrand'. Ferrand has silver-blue eyes and spiky, medium purple hair with lightness to it, he wore a short sleeved buttoned black shirt as a white tank was seen underneath and his pants were light grey with shoes that matched the color of his shirt. He had some sort of weapon tucked from behind. Ferrand saluted his captain, "Yes sir!" He said over the stormy weather of the sea. "What do you need, Captain?" The captain nodded with a smile, "Good, you're here my boy." He said. Then, he gestured over to the crew, "Give them a pep talk and make it fast or we'll crashed. Go! Now!" He instructed. Then, the captain hurried away. Ferrand went over and gave the instructions to the other sailors. Moments later; Ferrand and the sailors were hard at work. "That's it, guys! Come on, take in the upper sail! Take the storm by the reins!" Ferrand called out to them, they were getting wet and drenched with water spraying everywhere from the storm. Other mates came out, "Ferrand! Where in the hell is the captain? Why is he making these men work?" One of them called out. "You there, stay below deck! Get away from here!" Ferrand commanded. The mates didn't pay no heed, "WHERE. IS. THE CAPTAIN?" The mate shouted. "He's busy right now! You guys need to listen when he gives out orders, get back to the cabins! You're not helping us, right now." Ferrand shouted. The other mates heed the words and left but things went downhill from here, no matter how hard they try--They were gonna crash! "IT'S NO USE MEN!" One of the sailors screamed, "WE'RE DONE FOR, PRAY FOR YOUR LIVES--WE'RE GOING DOWN!" Everything was a blur, the ship crashed and the next thing happened was Ferrand woke up with incisions.

His puppy, Gonzolo, survived too but the rest of the crew are dead. Ferrand was emotionally distraught, so he gave them a proper funeral for the mates and the captain. With Gonzolo in his arms; he said: "Well....Looks like it's just you and me, boy." Gonzolo wagged his tail, he barked and whimpered a little and Ferrand grimaced of the pain while he walked away. In the meantime, Miranda woke up and decided to take a walk to a hill. While on her walk; she comes across a boy, Ferrand, and his dog Gonzalo where they were lying on the grass and looking up at the blue sky. But Ferrand said, "There's a storm coming, it's going to sweep things in its path." Miranda looked up and saw that the beautfiul sky's yonder blue was now a dark purple. When Miranda turned back to the boy, she saw that he was already gone! So she decides to head back. As she walked back; Miranda looked up and saw that the hurricane while she was determined to get home soon. She regrets on going on this walk, it was a bad idea and she wish she stayed home. She wished that it passed or wash away like rain. But it was getting closer and nothing could stop it. She hopes she won't blow away as she saw in horror of every debris, every part crumbling and it was blowing harder and harder. Miranda managed to dodge every flying object and nearly went flying, it was so strong but she made it back home safe. However, she was horrified to discover that her house has been capsized and she managed to get in the house where she found that her parents were nowhere in sight. Miranda begin to panic a little bit, she cried; fearing that her parents could be dead. The next minute afterwards, Poor Miranda was sitting near the mailbox, thinking about if her parents possibly got caught in the storm and possibly died but she didn't want to jump to conclusions. Then, she felt a shadow upon her and saw Ferrand with his dog, Gonzolo. "What are you doing here?" Miranda asked. "I came to help you, I also want to tell you that your family is safe." replied Ferrand. Miranda's gasp got caught in her throat, "You do? Where are they?" She asked. "The Good Sorceress Melisande knows and she might be able to help us." explained Ferrand. Here this was to be another day, an ordinary day until this boy came along as he will inspire her to look for majestic beauty that others wouldn't see and find them mundane. Ferrand stretch his hand out, "Come with me." He said. "Where are we going?" asked Miranda. Ferrand smiled, "To the West...Murias." Miranda was hesitant at first but she knew that this boy would help her. Maybe help her to be in control of her own destiny. She took Ferrand's hand, and they were off. But first before they had to go West, they stopped by Ferrand's apartment where they meet two of his roommates, Caliban Raven and Ariel 'Arye' Shay. Caliban was a nice guy, pretty much average looking person...Nothing magical about him. And Arye hated his name because it sounded too girly to him. Miranda was shy at first however she bonded fast with these guys as they stayed up late because of no power, they played spin the bottle and laugh and joking around while drinking root beer. Miranda hardly spoke for she felt excited and glanced at Ferrand, admiring how beautiful and confidence he was but he probably wasn't so down-to-earth. Summer was all in full bloom, where Miranda found a place of belonging with friends that care about her. And don't judge of what she is not. The next day, when the storm was over; Miranda and her new friends stumble upon a village called Alfheimer where the friendliest creatures of dwarves, fairies, elves, gnomes, pixies, leprechauns, and mermaids. Then, the Good Sorceress name Melisande appeared! Melisande has blonde hair so wavy with curls, she wore a tiara on her head, but her dress was something else. Her dress was pink, pearlized with petals covering the skirt as the bodice and skirt are decorated with sequins, it was off the shoulder with a heart shaped outline to the top. The gown looked like it was made of bubbles, like somebody took them out of bathwater and sewn them together so they won't pop. Melisande gives Miranda a pair of magic shoes called Talaria to give her guidance. That's when Miranda remembered what Ferrand said as she asked Melisande about the whereabouts of her parents. Melisande assured her that they were safe however they are hidden in a shelter because of all the monsters, the ones called manananggals. As if on cue, they appeared as they terrify the residents into hiding as Miranda, Ferrand, Caliban, and Arye were horrified to see them. Gonzolo barked at the creatures, which they look hideous with their horned wings, claws, and fangs so sharp. They snarled and Miranda shivered a little. The beasts demanded the magic shoes Talaria, however Melisande spoke out: "It's too late, they are here and they will stay." She gestured that the shoes were now on Miranda's feet. Miranda was shocked, Ferrand put an arm around her and pulled her close in a protective way while glaring at the monsters, who demanded for the Talaria shoes. But Melisande laughs, "You have no power over here you beasts, now be gone or I'll plunged a wooden stake in your hearts." She sneered at them. The manananggals winced so they decide to accept defeat for now but cursed Miranda by the fact that many enemies will come for her. Some would kidnap her and held her in prison while others would try to kill her, or use her for lustful desires so she must keep her head down, watch her back and stand her ground: "We''ll get you, sweet blood--AND YOUR MEDDLING FRIENDS TOO!" They growled, they laughed and disappeared into smoke. Once they were gone; Miranda and her friends were told to go to Murias where the wizard Prospero resides! So; Miranda, Ferrand, Caliban, Arye, and Gonzolo headed to the west--Murias! After the vision; Katherine liked the positive excitement that she feels but she is also remembering of her having a meltdown: It seems impossible to make big life changes, and even small decisions are harder and harder to make. Her prevalent mood is a sullen, gloomy feeling while she suffered from low-grade stress and her body feels tense. It turns out that she has a serious developmental disorder that impairs the ability to communicate and interact. She went through things like meaningless repetition of own words, nonsense word repetition, poor eye contact, repetitive movements, screaming, self-harm, or persistent repetition of words or actions. In her own perspective view; Katherine finds the world very confusing and chaotic because her mind is very literal and logical. She was having trouble understanding the expressions on people's faces. She still have trouble with some people. She is also hypersensitive, clumsy and can get very concerned. She likes solving problems. The horrific truth to Katherine's condition is the reason why she was tortured of those horrible experiments. Those experiments were trying to make children like her into a super soldier!

Once again; Katherine has another vision: Underwater was so beautiful for Isabella, the blue was so wonderful and clear. But she had to focus, she had to remember what she came here for. She looked in the sand, she looked among the fishes, she looked in the coral, she looked in the seaweed but she found nothing! With a sigh, which her sigh formed a single bubble from her breath mask and she swam up to the surface. Gasping for breath; Isabella took off her mask and snorkel gear. She takes off her fins as she reveals wearing her bikini. Isabella went back to her friends with a disappointed look on her face.  “Did you find anything?” Roland asked. Isabella shook her head sadly, “No, not really.” She said. “What do you mean ‘not really’?” demanded Elphin. Elphin shot a glare in his direction with her eyes, “Hey, give me a break. I looked everywhere. Nothing, nada, zip!” She snapped. Roland shook his head, “This can’t be right, there should be something. Someone….” He said as he looked at the map. “Maybe it’s the wrong area.” Thomas suggested. “No, these are the right coordinates.” insisted Roland. Elphin let out a sigh, he dropped on his knees as he buried his head for one second, and looked up with irritation. “We’re wasting our time looking for a mythological person that doesn’t exist.” He complained. “I know she exists, I know she does!” Roland declared as he folded up the map. Isabella sat in a mermaid position on a rock and looked among the blue sea. “Got any better ideas?” She asked. Nobody didn’t realized that a figure was swimming up to the surface. There was bubbles that the gang can see from shore. Isabella was the first one to notice, “What is that?” She asked. The others gathered to see what she was pointing at. “Is it…Ohhhh…” Roland asked. “No, could it be?” Elphin muttered. They watched in mixed feelings of amazement and fear as a figure emerged from the deed, a young lady it looks like. She had a curvaceous figure, ivory white skin, straight black hair that covered her face. She wore a black bandeau top that revealed her midriff and matching pants that reached down towards her knees. When the girl removed the hair from her face; she revealed her face. Beautiful, dark brown eyes, small nose, and glossy black luscious lips. Elphin approached the girl as he said to her softly, “Hey, you OK?” The girl replied back in a creepy monotone,  “Fire. Who started the fire?” Mikado looked at the others with a perplexed look. “What fire? What are you talking about?” He asked. “Fire, I see fire.” said the girl. “What?” Elphin asked as he leaned closer. The girl pushed him away and seized Roland by the neck and they fell into the water. “Oh man, Roland!” Isabella shouted. The girl tries to drown Roland but he breaks free and swims, he gasped for breath. He dragged the girl away, the girl released her grip from him and ran away. “She’s getting away!” Thomas cried. “After her!” Roland called. They chased after the girl however they paused for a breath and they lost sight of her. “What happened?” Owen asked. “We lost sight of her.” Elphin replied. “What?” Own asked in disbelief. “She was too fast!” Thomas called. In anger, Roland kicked a tree as she was distressed over their failure. “Dammit! She got away!” He cursed. In the meantime; The girl ran from the beach of her pursuers, she looked back to see nobody was following her. The girl begin to relax, as she walk ahead. She found herself in a city and looked around to see the sights. That night, The girl managed to get back to the land, to look for the people she encountered earlier. But when she got through the forest towards the beach, it was already vacant and getting dark. She was wondering when she was hand gagged from behind. “Gotcha! Can’t get away this time.” Roland said with a leer on her face. The girl struggled, muffling but she thought she heard snickering of Elphin and Roland from behind. Cold anger kicked in as she somehow she was glowing and she broke free from Roland’s grip and let out a screeched. Susanoo and Mikado fell to the ground as they look up in horror to see The girl's eyes glowing blue. Susanoo is frightful, "I'm--I'm sorry!" He stammered. Once it was all settled; The mysterious girl is none other than a girl name Greiselda but friends called her "Zelda". But while the group, she ditched Roland and the others as she  turns out that all she wanted was to take the gang down. Permenantly! "Terrific. It’s not enough that he is cute; but he is the leader. How am I supposed to compete with that? Oh, just when you think things are looking up, everything comes crashing down." As she said that; the floor beneath her crumbles, and she falls down through a couple of layers of the old city until she hits a stone floor. But the stone floor crumbles as well, and she falls through and lands in sand. She coughs and digs herself out of the sand. She looks around; she appears to be in an ancient ruin. Against one wall is a bookcase with scrolls on it. "Wow, where am I?" She wondered. She looked through the scrolls which had something to do with water magic, "Spells? I could do magic?" She thought. "With water?" She picks up a magic pendant from the bookcase; it starts to glow, and she puts it on. "I wouldn’t be just a water nymph anymore."  She said. With a smile; Zelda opens a scroll on a table and said, "From this moment on, things are gonna go my way, starting with Roland and his friends." After studying for awhile with the scrolls; she learned hypnotizing songs for mind control, create any shape or form with water, freeze water, boil water, and become anything of mermaid or any other creature. Then, she learns of manipulation and overhears Briar has a crush on Elphin and Roland. So she decides to manipulate her. Meanwhile; Briar has wandered into a grotto until the wave slams her into the water, and then she resurfaces however she is pulled under the water and is next seen in a swirling vortex being pulled far below. When she arrives at the bottom, in an overhang, the vortex disappears, and she grabs her throat, unable to breath. Just then, a girl who look like a mermaid swims up. The water woman looks delighted. "Hello girl!" She greeted her. "Who are you?" asked Briar. "My name is Zelda and I'm a water nymph." said the water girl. "I'm Briar. Nice to meet you." replied Briar. "So, Briar, I'm here if you need me. If you want to be pretty, if you want to look amazing, anything--I can give it to you." assured Zelda.  Briar blushed, "Actually, I had something else in mind. You see, there’s this really cute boy....No, I met him somehow....He is really someone I really started to like but I can't like him too much or too soon. His name is Elphin. What a perfect name! He and I, we’re two of a kind! We belong together, and we’re going to be together, one way or another." She explained. But she begins to look sad, "This guy’s has a girl on his team. I mean, she's so pretty and so sure, I can’t compete with that! So I figure...Maybe I'm more clever than a girl like her." That's when, Zelda came up with an idea. In the meantime; Hervey was all frantic when strange things start to happen, fire and ice were coming at him! Even the earth was coming to life as well as thunder and lightning while water splashed over him. When it was all over; Hervey, Ostadar, and Demetri looked around however they overheard Roland and the others talking. That's when, the gang laughed at pranking a house--not realizing it was Hervey's house. Hearing this; Hervey steamed up a bit by that awful mishap and he was about to get really mad but stops himself and smiles calmly. "No, we're not going to get mad." Hervey said calmly. Ostadar looked at his leader with confusion, "We're not?" He asked. "No....We are GONNA TEACH THOSE TEENAGERS A LESSON!!!!" exclaimed Hervey. Demetri sighed, "Oh dear!" He said.

Meanwhile; Demetri is inside, checking things off on his list but notices something was wrong, "Ohhhhh, curses, I've missed a spot." He sishged, I don’t know why I bother, in half and hour, I’ll just have to do it all over again! Heavens, the things I go through to maintain a a clean house." He reaches for a large stack of towels, and beings to polish the floor, which already has a mirror shine to it. He looks pleased and stands up. "Ahhh, perfect!" He said. Then, Demetri could hear commotion going on from above: "Elphin!" Roland shouted, "Stop playing that device! Shut it off..now." Elphin rolled his eyes, "Ok, fine." He shut it off, "There, happy?" Elphin said. Roland was relieved and was about to fall asleep when he heard the device making noises. "You're playing it again." He said. Elphin instantly stopped it, "Am not." He said. He turned it on and Roland found him red handed, "Busted." He said. Then, the device made a low sound and turned off. "Great." groaned Elphin. "What?" Roland asked. Elphin showed him, "Look." Ostadar barged in exclaiming: "AHH! The batteries died!" He takes it and shouts it, "I CAN FIX IT!!!!" And runs away. Elphin looked at Roland, who shrugs. "Who says miracles don't happen?" He remarked. Ostadar pulled out a set of batteries from the device and use an electric wire, getting electrocuted but survives but heard the device heard it turned on: "This oughta do the trick. Music to my ears." He said. "One more time." When he did it again; he said while electrifying like a madman, "Oh, yeah, that's the stu-u-u-ff!" He said. In the meantime, the strange things happened so Ostadar decides to save Roland and the others from great disasters but Hervey stops him, "Oh, come on, Ostadar! What about all the things I've done for you?" He said pleadingly, "Ostadar, remember how you said you felt responsible for us being here and you'd do anything to help me out? Remember that, buddy? Please! Just push the red button! Don't you want to see your best friend in get what he wants?" He said. Ostadar didn't know what to do, "What should I do? Do I put my own dreams above those of my only friends? Or should I be nice and let Hervey get what he wants?" But then, he decides to save Roland and uses the cure to stop all the disasters going on. That's when, Briar came and told Roland & the others about how the water nymph name Zelda is the cause of the havoc! So, Roland and the others came up with a plan. A few minutes later; Owen, Roland, Thomas, and Isabella were waiting for Elphin. "Tell me again, what are we doing at a beach?" asked Owen. "Oh, Elphin's on his way here with Zelda ." said Isabella with a sly look. Zelda arrived with Elphin and she was on a pretend date however when faced with choices on gems. She didn't know what to decide, "Hmmm, I don’t know." With a shrug, she said: "Surprise me, darlings." Suddenly the floor drops out beneath her. Her chair was on a trap door, and she falls to the water below while she screamed. Above; Roland, Elphin, Isabella, Iago, and Carpet peer at her from the trap door. Then, they all said: "Surprise!!!!" Learned that she was trick; Zelda angrily slams the water with her fist, "Why, that little savage bastard--!!" She looks amazed for a second, and then disappears below the surface as she is pulled below. Briar surfaces. She gasped for breath as she jumps and punches her fist into the air, "Yes!" "It worked! Hang on!" Elphin said, he went down as the others called out: "Go for it, Elphin!" Transforming into the light warrior; Elphin swoops by and grabs Briar’s hands, lifting her up in his arms. He looked at her apologetic, "Brie? I just want...uh...I...uh....." He said. Briar smiled, "It's OK, I forgive." Elphin smiled, "Thanks." Hurt by the betrayal of Elphin; Zelda uses her water powers to create a gigantic wave is now following them. Elphin hugs Briar close. "Hang on!" Once it passed; Elphin and Briar surface. Briar points out, "Look out!" Zelda is balanced on top of a huge water spout. "Oh Elphin! Take this!" said Zelda. She blows a kiss, and Elphin tries to swim away, but the magic encircles Elphin, and begins to drag him down in a whirlpool. Resulting him to transform back to normal! Briar surfaces, and sees just his hand reaching out of the whirlpool. She begins to swim toward him. Then, she had an idea and called out, "Isabella! I need your help!" Down below, Elphin has been dragged down by the vortex. "Welcome to my world, Elphin darling!" Zelda's voice purred as he goes farther down. She swims up to Elphin, who is struggling to free himself from the whirlpool. "And your sweet Briar is next!" She said. Swimming up however Briar has a net that she throws into the water. "No Zelda! It’s your turn!" She cried. Zelda begins to struggle and thrash around in the net, but Briar has a firm grip on it, and begins to try to haul it to shore over her shoulder. Selene has lost her grip on the whirlpool though, which disappears, and Elphin, freed, swims to the surface. He is gasping for air begins to swim towards Briar. Zelda is trashing more wildly than before. "Let me go!" She cried in a pleading voice. "I don’t think so!" growled Briar. Modern day, Katherine feels the  excitement that is making it so hot in her body and is starting to have a climax spasm. The vision is beginning to slow down but she needs these powers of hers to keep going if she’s going to climax when they give her excitement in her mind. Before the spasm its common to take a breath beforehand as the body is overwhelmed by the pleasure induced. The breaths she takes are the breaths Katherine takes before her spasm!

Katherine has another vision in her mind once more but with the adrenaline feeling: Briar and her new friends discovered a swimming pool at the hotel. They spent the evening swimming in the warm, clear water. The sky was blue and clear, Briar used her monster slaying business money she was paid with but she wasn't too worried because she gets more money in a paycheck every Friday of the week. Fast forward later; Briar, Roland, Elphin, Isabella, Thomas, and Owen were diving into the swimming pool that was an outdoor and indoor one. Briar was in a bikini, Roland and the other boys were in swim trunks while Thomas was in a short sleeved wetsuit because of the fact of his chubbiness. And Isabella wore a one piece bikini. The gang had fun in the sun of the pool, boy it was sunny out and it was beautiful outdoor. Sitting next to each other and away from the others, Roland and Elphin were talking to each other. "So, anything from the device?" asked Roland. Elphin shook his head, "Nothing, nada, I don't know who the hell the mysterious girl? That voice...Can't get that song in my head. Look, Rollo, what do we have to miss in this? Like the singing girl could be a fantasy only in our heads. Where can you find someone like her anyway?" He said. "I'm tellin' you, Elphin. She is real." Roland insisted, "We're gonna find that girl, and maybe we'll see who'll win her heart." Elphin said with a smile, "Not until I win hers first." Elphin grinned at him, "You are on, man!" He confirmed. Roland nodded with a grin on his face: "OK, I'm still gonna beat ya." He said. "When I find her, I will shower her with tender, loving health care!" Elphin smirked, "Oh really? I'm gonna be the one to swipe that vision of beauty from your sight." He said. Just then, they saw Briar flipping her wet hair, she turned and gave a seductive look. Roland and Elphin looked at each awkwardly before laughing. Briar rolled her eyes and went away to swim some more. That night, it’s 2 am and poor Briar can’t sleep from all the stress and tension pent up inside her. She feels that she has to translate all her emotions into the words of this song and onto paper before she is overwhelmed by all the worrisome things in her life. The next day, Roland and Elphin were wandering around where they were found at the place where they heard the mysterious girl's singing. As they were looking around for a clue; there was a bright light frim the sun and heard someone singing from afar as it echoed in their ears: "Going ninety on the highway, we gonna do it my way. You say you want to go your way and it's not enough for me. We've hit a rough patch or uncomfortable situation but if they really want love to overcome it all. Sometimes we feel that life is taking our breath away and we need to take time to catch our breath.  We need to take a deep breath, count to ten before we react and then let it out." Roland and Elphin were shocked to hear it was that same girl singing to them, she did exist! They heard her sing again, "When you are in that state of quiting and feel like giving up. Don't give up. Yes, life is hard, but take a second to breathe and then everything is better. So just move on and breathe, baby." She sang the chorus. And then, the second verse: "All my life I have struggled with when it mattered saying how I felt. But when it comes to the things that matter that could actually change my life. That could actually change something that puts me in the dark...." The two boys couldn't see what was in front of them, but they saw a glimpse of a girl with hair all aflow and she looked like she was wearing a white sleeveless dress. "Hello! Where are you?" Roland called. Nobody answered. "We know that you're the girl who saved us." Elphin called out. "Please, come out so we can thank you." But it was too late, the voice was gone.

Again, Katherine has another vision inside her mind and begins to feel the adrenaline feelings: Miranda wakes up with a start, "What? Why am I awake?" She wondered. Then, her eyes glowed a whitish blue colored pupil as her activated as it destroyed the place. "What is going on?" She thought. Watching her movements are being controlled; A man who looked like Seth snickers quietly of this. Her powers were losing control and was going out of line. Perfect! Miranda tried to restrained herself of her movement to her arms and legs but she couldn't. It was hopless! Miranda didn't understand what was going on and it was scaring her. Ferrand and the others woke up to hear bumps in the night and hurried over to see what was going on, he was shocked to see Miranda's limbs moving on their own and she's not doing this. "What the hell?" He exclaimed. "It--It's not me, I feel like I'm being mind controlled." Miranda protested. Then, she could hear a voice in her mind sniggering. "Guess you know what I can maneuver." said the voice in her mind. "You refused my offer. Nobody refuses me and gets away with it! So now you have to pay. You see, that lovely necklace I gave you had a virus which the virus injected into your neck and traveled up to you brain. Making more of a movement in your limbs, by my control. It's both painful in both body and mind." He explained. Fear flooded her face, "You wouldn't." gasped Miranda. "I would. Back talk towards me and you won't get to breathe ever again!" warned Seth viciously. "Get out of my head, Seth! Leave. Me. Alone!" begged Miranda. "You can't stop me, Miranda. I can control every muscle, every nerve, every vessel in your body." Seth declared, laughing insanely. Seth laughed with insanity. Then, Miranda writhed on the floor. Her body parts--Hands, fingers, toes, feet, and legs--were twisted around on their own. "Stop....Please, stop! I can't take much more of this...." She begged. "Accept my offer and I'll let you breathe!" Seth replied. "NEVER!" screeched Miranda. "Fine. I'll make you suffer more and more...AND MORE!" cried Seth. Miranda begin to cry, it was too much for her to bare all this pain any longer and wasn't beginning to surrender. "Ferrand...Caliban...Arye...Please, help me..." She thought through her tears. As she wept of her tears; A shimmering light appears before her. Miranda looked up, she saw that it was Briar, she wore white. "Briar, is that you?" Miranda asked. "Hush, I have come to save you from your pain." replied Briar. Deep down, she knew it was Seth and she was going to make him pain. The memory still haunts her. She could feel anger inside of her until she heard something that shocked her--Someone called her name, "BRIAR!!!" And then, she heard an argument: "What the hell is going on? What did you do to her? What about my reasons why we are punishing the remorseless and apathetic kinds? Don't do this! You've gone too far! What happened to what my team and I stand for? Why we do this? Never do this again, because this is not what any of us signed up for. And I'm trying to atone my sins for this!" Briar could recogonize that voice, "Seth Jace?" Katherine awoke from that vision with a burst sense of adrenaline and she feels like there is something more out there.
