Brave New Girl's World--Chapter 4

Chapter 4: Mysterious Girl of the Deep 

Briar and her new friends discovered a swimming pool at the hotel. They spent the evening swimming in the warm, clear water. The sky was blue and clear, Briar used her monster slaying business money she was paid with but she wasn't too worried because she gets more money in a paycheck every Friday of the week. Fast forward later; Briar, Roland, Elphin, Isabella, Thomas, and Owen were diving into the swimming pool that was an outdoor and indoor one. Briar was in a bikini, Roland and the other boys were in swim trunks while Thomas was in a short sleeved wetsuit because of the fact of his chubbiness. And Isabella wore a one piece bikini. The gang had fun in the sun of the pool, boy it was sunny out and it was beautiful outdoor. Sitting next to each other and away from the others, Roland and Elphin were talking to each other. "So, anything from the device?" asked Roland. Elphin shook his head, "Nothing, nada, I don't know who the hell the mysterious girl? That voice...Can't get that song in my head. Look, Rollo, what do we have to miss in this? Like the singing girl could be a fantasy only in our heads. Where can you find someone like her anyway?" He said. "I'm tellin' you, Elphin. She is real." Roland insisted, "We're gonna find that girl, and maybe we'll see who'll win her heart." Elphin said with a smile, "Not until I win hers first." Elphin grinned at him, "You are on, man!" He confirmed. Roland nodded with a grin on his face: "OK, I'm still gonna beat ya." He said. "When I find her, I will shower her with tender, loving health care!" Elphin smirked, "Oh really? I'm gonna be the one to swipe that vision of beauty from your sight." He said. Just then, they saw Briar flipping her wet hair, she turned and gave a seductive look. Roland and Elphin looked at each awkwardly before laughing. Briar rolled her eyes and went away to swim some more. That night, it’s 2 am and poor Briar can’t sleep from all the stress and tension pent up inside her. She feels that she has to translate all her emotions into the words of this song and onto paper before she is overwhelmed by all the worrisome things in her life. She has a fantasy of how Romeo and Juliet were both teenagers when they met and fell in love. She feels as if she is Juliet from Romeo and Juliet because he scene is so perfectly familiar. The two met at a costume ball hosted by the Capulets where Romeo and to dress up so that he didn’t get noticed. Romeo is below Juliet’s bedroom window and he throws little pebbles at her window to get her attention. so in the song and the play, Romeo is actually throwing pebbles. the pebble throwing is not a metaphor for how serious he is about Juliet. he’s literally just throwing pebbles at her window and get her attention. she can’t ring the doorbell because Juliet’s father hates him. She was crying because she really hated what was going on, didn’t want it to happen. It made her sad! Juliet sneaks out to talk to Romeo and warns him to be quiet because if her family were to find out they would kill Romeo but it didn't matter as she is an embarrassment to her family. Her dad didn’t want them to date but Juliet loved him very much and didn’t want him to go. She eventually got tired of waiting; she began to think that he didn’t want to join her in the ‘love story’ that she so desperately wanted to live in. Thinking he must have himself another girl to be with. After all the waiting, he finally proposed to her! It is like a fairytale story, a love story. Love is a mysterious thing, as many say. They can be everything they want, all he has to do is agree to love. Juliet's dad asking him to say yes because she is desperate to live in the fairytale. He’s already asked her dad for permission and they can finally get married. Why? Because he doesn’t want just any pretty girl, he wants the girl who he loves for her inside and out. He knows that she’s special. He will never cheat on her. He wants to be everything that she wants. He wants to be her dream boy. He wants her to look past his looks, and see what kind of an amazing heart he has. Great and wonderful things happen all the time, all over the world, but they may not happen Briar now or never. So Briar always looks on the bright side of life, and has fun. If great things happen to her, great! If not, she will still try to be happy, even in the face of hardship and despair. Alas, sometimes life gets really hard and she forgets this crucial lesson: her good day turns to bad. Having two individuals genuinely interested in one another’s thoughts is so rare that most people can only read of such loves during their lifetime instead of having one. Words and the meanings they express. Finding someone who loves words as much as he does makes him feel so alive. But words can be exchanged for whatever you found valuable about your past activities…what did she love that made her feel alive? She wants to see him again, just to show him how much he helped her improve as an individual from the time they were together. She is forever grateful that she was introduced by him to peak experiences that words could barely describe however she was sad that words, the thing she loved most in life, have reached her usefulness. Where does she go from here?

Since this romance is so perceptive, it may be like he knows what is inside of her, rather than just seeing. Briar's spirit is taking a break, leaving her feeling empty and numb inside. That is until the person who sees right through her wakes it up and takes it home. She is feeling lonely and depressed until this person reaches out to her and makes her feel alive again. This guy is now her life line. He is her only chance to escape the numbness she feels. He can’t leave her, not now. Now that she sees how bad her life is, she wants to wake up from her delusions of happiness so that she can fix everything. Everyone wears a mask of some sort, but if you leave that mask on for too long, you forget your own face. This verse emphasizes that she can’t remember who she is, as she was caught up with who she was supposed to be. Without him, she has no reason to live—he is the torch that warms her heart and brings happiness into her life. He brings her dead spirit to life. And this friend can’t believe that she’s been in this depression this whole time, and he hasn’t noticed at all. She herself is still not quite sure about the depression she’s going through and she need to realize what she is honestly going through. She has lost herself, she doesn’t want to die a stranger to herself. It was a desperate cry for help. She has pretended to be happy for so long that she doesn’t even know true happiness. She’s in an unwanted reality, and she can’t wake up. She is crying out to the Lord of Heavens, to save her from what she’s going through! She wants him to help her feel alive by bidding her blood to run throughout her body. For so long, she has felt nothing but emptiness. She is pleading for someone to open her eyes to joy before she completely loses all hope. Now she’s going to tell him all that she has done for him, which includes crying immensely over him. She has been doing her best to try to get him to listen — screaming, deceiving and bleeding for him. Even after all that he still will not listen. She does not want his help this time, maybe never again. Why would she? After he has tormented her daily even when she had thought he would stop and she was at wits end. He is messing with her mind. He is giving her misconceptions and making it harder to believe in herself, making it harder for her to keep fighting him. What a jerk! He can scream and torment her all he wants but she is going to escape from him. She can’t keep being suffocated by him, she needs to breathe. She is metaphorically rising out of the sea of pain he has caused her. She is losing her will to fight against the abuse, but she knows she has to break away from his hold on her, so she continues to fight. After feeding her misconceptions and lies she finds herself almost giving up again. She can’t keep living like this with him in control of her. She must escape from his power before she gives up because she cannot take anymore of living like this. She will no longer take this anymore and will be free from her prison. She has had enough of the pain and torment of being in this relationship and is ready to get out of her prison as she won’t live like this anymore. As a continuation of the last line, she won’t be dealing with the pain of the relationship anymore and she will be free to live her life. Waking up from her daydream, Briar shook her head in disgust from the fantasy. "What the hell am I thinking of sappy love like this? It's official, I'm a delusional, lovestruck chick thinking like a romance novel!" She thought. The next day, Roland and Elphin were wandering around where they were found at the place where they heard the mysterious girl's singing. As they were looking around for a clue; there was a bright light from the sun and heard someone singing from afar as it echoed in their ears: "Going ninety on the highway, we gonna do it my way. You say you want to go your way and it's not enough for me. We've hit a rough patch or uncomfortable situation but if they really want love to overcome it all. Sometimes we feel that life is taking our breath away and we need to take time to catch our breath.  We need to take a deep breath, count to ten before we react and then let it out." Roland and Elphin were shocked to hear it was that same girl singing to them, she did exist! They heard her sing again, "When you are in that state of quitting and feel like giving up. Don't give up. Yes, life is hard, but take a second to breathe and then everything is better. So just move on and breathe, baby." She sang the chorus. And then, the second verse: "All my life I have struggled with when it mattered saying how I felt. But when it comes to the things that matter that could actually change my life. That could actually change something that puts me in the dark...." The two boys couldn't see what was in front of them, but they saw a glimpse of a girl with hair all aflow and she looked like she was wearing a white sleeveless dress. "Hello! Where are you?" Roland called. Nobody answered. "We know that you're the girl who saved us." Elphin called out. "Please, come out so we can thank you." But it was too late, the voice was gone. When the duo got back; they were with their friends where Hervey, Demetri, and Ostadar were accidentally caused disaster for Roland and Elphin's friends. Roland was about to give them a piece of his mind but Hervey got in his face: "Get back from us, you jerk!" He said. "Yeah, don't blame us for what happened to Isabella!" Ostadar blurted out. Hervey and Demetri were humiliated as Roland and the gang glared at the trio. "Wait, you did that to Isabella?" Roland asked. "You tried to wreck my house from the inside with all those powers!" Hervey shot back. Roland and the gang glanced at one another. "Wait, that was your house?" Roland asked. He remembered what he was talking about, immediately he felt guilty. "Oh crap, I didn't--We didn't know!" He claimed. Hervey jabbed a finger in Roland's chest, "You should, you caused us to panic and think nature was attacking for no friggin' reason! How could, you no good bunch of teenagers?!" He exclaimed. Roland and his friends continuously took steps back, "Look, let's work something out." He said. But they all bumped into Ostadar, who exclaimed: "Revenge is a kind of wild justice and it's best served frosty." Demetri looked at him, "I think you mean, cold, Ostadar." He said. "REPENT, I SAY!!!" shouted Hervey. "I ALMOST WET MY PANTS BECAUSE OF WHAT YOU GUYS DID!!!" sobbed Ostadar. "BEG FOR FORGIVENESS!!!!" Hervey yelled."YOU STARTED EVERYTHING!!!!" Ostadar bawled. "BEG, I SAY!!!!" Hervey screeched. "WHY SCARE US JUST FOR FUN?!" Ostadar wailed. "GET ON YOUR KNEES, NOW!!!!" bellowed Hervey. "GET AWAY!!!" Roland shouted. He and his friends moved away. Later in the next day, Briar's voice called out as she rang the bell: "Food's ready!" She said. Roland and the gang approached. She continued to blabbed a bit, "That's about....$17.99, No that's not right? $28.95? No, no, sorry. $7.13!" Cursing at herself however Isabella hand her change back, "You can keep this, thanks." She said. The others chuckled as a humiliated Briar said: "Welcome." She never felt so fool in front of her crushes, Roland and Elphin. During lunch; Roland read his fortune from his cookie, "If you find your world is caving in on you; Bet your gonna need a friend who will take those fears away." He was surprised but he wasn't the only one with this. Elphin's fortune said, "Sometimes you fall before you fly, know it all before you try." Isabella's fortune said, "Don't let nobody tell you that you're life is over, be every color that you are." Thomas's fortune reads, "Whatever you do, as long as you reach for it." And Owen's said, "Spread your wings, learn how to fly, take a risk, take a chance, and make a change." Roland and the others thought their fortunes were weird as they are suspicious to believe that Briar wrote them. They look over at Briar as she bustled about in the kitchen and shake their heads with doubts. Instead of talking to him and sharing her feelings, Briar watches from the shadows, never quite talking herself into a confrontation. She feels honestly and passionately, but does not know how to translate it into words. Like anyone around their crush, Briar becomes nervous around them, just as she did the first time she saw this crush. She feels like she is always left outin the cold because she is afraid to get close. All of Briar’s energy is devoted to watching her love, leaving her as she is hoping and wishing for a conversation. Each day, she sits by the phone, contemplating calling him to share her deepest feelings. But she sighed and got up for she had a lot of work to do! 

As jobs of a freelancing monster slayer, this one takes the cake when it comes to monsters, fighting them, and putting an end to them! When her phone rings, this was her cue: "Hello? Freelancing Monster Slayer Business, this is Briar Morgan." Briar would answer. She made her living out of slaying manananggals, vampires, werewolves, evil imps, goblins, witches, and other sorts of beasts of the darkness. After a day of business; an exhausted Briar was outside, enjoying the fresh air when she saw a mascot giving out candy for little children. She then notices the mascot that resembles a girl coming near her and she stared at it. "Does it want something from me? Does it want to kill me? What should I do? I mean, I can't stop staring at it." thought Briar. Then, the mascot pulled off the mask and it turned out to be a sweaty, young man. Briar was in bewildered as the young man noticed her: "Hello, my name is Derek. I couldn't help but noticed you were staring, do you like Homit Girl ?" He said. Briar was confused, "Um, who is Homit Girl? She asked. Oisin was awkward, he couldn't believe she never heard of Homit Girl! "Um, he's a...." He started to say. The next thing that happened was they were both sitting in the park. Just then, two different people came running over to Derek. One of the guys demanded, "There was a huge explosion, where were you Derek?"  But he suddenly took noticed Briar, "Who's this girl?" He asked. Derek glanced at Briar: "Oh yeah, what's your name?" He inquired. The other one was a girl, who looked innocent, looked at Briar: "Yeah, who are you?" He said. Briar smiled, "My name is Briar." She replied. "Oh, I'm sorry I didn't ask you for your name." apologized Derek. "It's OK, really it's fine." Briar answered. She got to know the other two's name, Lucille and Max. They were all chatting when one of the boys, name Max, couldn't help but ask: "Where are we going to sleep tonight?" Derek replied, "Well, I don't know. All the houses are occupied." Lucille made a suggestion, "I know! Why don't we sleep at Briar's house?" Briar was nervous, she didn't want them to know where she was really staying at: "Well, I'm staying at a hotel but I guess it's OK." She replied. Max shrugged, "Better than sleeping on the streets." He noted. Derek and Lucille glomped Briar in a hug, "OH, THANK YOU!!!!" They cried in unison. While with these new friends; Briar learns about something about this strange town: Journey into the past; life was simple for Inari Okami but he always wished for some adventure to come into his life. And someday he would escape from his hometown to see the world. However, he was walking through the grassy fields when he spots a girl very familiar to Inari. "Oh, hi Konohana." He called. The girl turned to his approaching figure, "Collecting firewood again?" asked Inari. The girl was quiet but nodded in response. Inari looked around as he could see a lot, he sighed and did his best however he was exhausted that he fell asleep in the grass. As he slept; Konohana came over to look at him, "He looks so peaceful." She thought. She knew they had to get back and take the firewood back home. That's when Inari woke up, "Oh...Konohana. Hey." "Hey sleephead." Konohana said with a soft smile, "We should get going." Inari nodded, he rubbed his eyes. "Uh....What the heck was that I saw? I don't know, was it a dream?" He muttered to himself. Just then, Inari came across him as she wiped a tear away with her thumb. After she did that; she blushed at how soft his skin feels. Inari was annoyed and backs away as he stood up, "C'mon, let's go back." He said. He carried the firewood as he and Konohana made small talk to one another as things were going OK between them. Then, a tragedy happened when monsters emerged and attacked Inari's homeland. "Inari!" Inari heard Saruta call, but he just kept running. "Let them be alive, let them be alive..." He kept pleading in his head. Inari pushed yourself harder, faster.  He had to make it. As Saruta watched him disappear in the sea of people, his trembling arm was outstretched in his direction this time. "Don't die... Please don't die!" he yelled out. "Come back alive, Inari. Please." Inari turned the corner of the street, his house now in sight. Or what was left of his house anyway which was now a pile of ashes. Only a small portion stood up straight. A baby's cry came from the wreckage. "Sis!" He cried, happy to hear that his 8 month old baby sister was still alive. "Inari!!! Get the hell outta here!" His mother cried. Inari snapped his head up, only to see the cold eyes as it swiftly brought his mom to its mouth, and bit his mother into two, then gnawed her until the blood was dried up and making it crash on his baby sister and possibly on the other dead bodies of his grandmother and younger twin brothers. That was it. That was the last straw. "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU, YOU SON OF A BITCH! " He bellowed in rage. Yet something twinged in you; guilt. Maybe if he only arrived sooner...He shook off the thought and charged. Unfortunately,  a figure wrapped his arms around his waist and threw Inari onto his shoulder.  "Hey!  Put me down! Can't you see that damned thing killed my family?!" He shrieked as he pounded on the man's back. The monster watched him get away, while Inari curses directed towards it. That was a long time ago, however nobody knows about it as it was long ago. However, Briar got another call about masses of monsters in the area. 

Just an ordinary day; Konohana and her best friend, Uzume were laughing together when her cell phone rings. She picks it up and answers it. Konohana looked at the posters but then, she heard commotion as she saw Uzume walking into the street, still talking on her phone as a car is coming at her. "Oh shit!" Konohana thought. She rushed over as she then thought to herself: "No, get away!" Konohana called out her name, "UZUME!" She pushed her friend out of the way as the car was edging close to Konohana but stopped abruptly. People surround her as Konohana had blood matted her face and hair. Everything went black but before she passes out, Konohana could see a boy and another one watching her. Then it happened; Inari and Saruta were walking on the street when they heard a scream and saw Konohana pushed a girl and then a car hit her. When they came close they saw her being lead away as her eyes widen & shivers shaking. It was one of the worst and most terrible scenes Saruta had ever seen. He was really sad & worried . When he saw her, he had hoped that the monsters don't take her so she would be in a better place. As he first saw Konohana getting the hit; Saruta was shocked & sad. He could almost feel the fear & pain that she was feeling when she was looking at. He didn't know what to do & he was feeling a familiar pain in his heart. Saruta was full of various feelings but what would he do when he sees it is her? Seeing her, Inari looking at her body on the ground she felt really sad and hoped she could have survive but it was too late. Their faces look gloomy and sad. "What...why are they looking at me that way?" She thought and then, the darkness enveloped her. Konohana woke up when she heard voices in clouded area! "Oooh, she smells nice!" One of them said. "Come to us..." The second beckoned. The third laughed a little, "Poor girl, she's all alone. All alone.....Alone...." It taunted. Konohana covered her ears and ran off. "Get away from me, you monsters!" She shouted. She saw something that made her gasp in awe: It was that boy from the accident she suffered in! He ran over to the ghouls as he slayed them with his thin sword called a katana, cut them in half and then he was approached by a familiar boy besides the dark haired guy. However she looked at the dark haired boy and then asked, "Who are you?" The boy said to her, "Pleasure is mine, my name is Saruta. I have come to help the people." He then offered his jersey jacket as he said, "You don't have to be scared, we'll protect you." Konohana looked at the jacket as she said, "Oh, thanks?" The other boy, Saruta, rolled his eyes and looked at Saruta with a glare: "You're offering that stinky, sweaty thing again?" He snapped. Inari looked exasperated as put his jacket back on, and Saruta was about to take off his jacket as he said: "Here, take this." Later on, "Tell me again, why are we here?" Konohana asked. She Inari and Saruta--had arrived at some sort of shop. "She should be right here." Inari said. Just then, someone came and hugged Inari: "INARI!!!!!" A girl squealed, hugging Inari. Inari smiled, "Hey there, cutie pie!" He said. "I missed you so much, I--Who is that?" The girl asked. Inari looke over at Konohana, "Ah, Kushinada. This is my new friend, her name is Konohana. Konohana? This is Kushinadahime, but call her Kushinada." He said. Konohana waved, "Hi." She said shyly. Kushinada smiled, "Hello!" She said brightly. "Susanoo! We got a newbie here! And she's human!" There was this grouch like man who was pretty scary to look at! But overall, he was nice. Kushinada kept saying how Inari is teaching her but Susanoo scoffs at this, "Oh please, Esmee, she's much stronger than Inari." He remarked. Inari was shocked and his face turned white. "By the way, nice to meet you Konohana." Susanoo added while he extended his hand. Konohana shook his hand, "Likewise, Susanoo." She said. What a freaky day, it still doesn't explain the fact that it would change anything. That night; Konohana was asleep but she was shivering because she hadn't warm clothes. Saruta woke up and saw her shivering. He put a blanket over her. "Damn Inari, he should have found her some clothes." He thought. Then he looked over at her and blushed because he thought she was cute when she was sleeping. "Don't worry Konohana, I will be there for you" He said smiling at her. The next day; Konohana did something with a sketchbook and Inari looked over her shoulder before his eyes bulged in amazement. A wide smile appeared on his face. "Look at this!" Inari exclaimed. "Huh?" Kushinada asked. "What is it?" inquired Saruta. They looked and saw a good drawing of Kushinada, "Whoa, did you drew this? Of me?" Kushinada gasped. "Yes, I mean I was bored so...." Konohana said with a shrug. Then, Kushinada noticed, "Wait, did you draw Saruta too?" She asked. Konohana nodded, grinning: "Sure did." She said. She flipped the page and Saruta saw it. "What? Let me see." He said. He glanced over and then he looked at Konohana with shocked, "Why.....?" replied Saruta. "Because we would make good friends." Konohana said. "Really?" Saruta asked, he was touched by this. Inari couldn't believe it, "DRAW ME! DRAW ME!!!" He begged, he did a pose for Konohana frantically. Konohana smiled, "OK, OK. Easy."  She replied. "I can't wait to see myself in your drawing book, Konohana!" Inari said, almost squirming. "Yup." Konohana replied. "Hey, you should sell that drawing in order to make money to buy yourself a big city." Kushinada suggested. Inari looked at her, "NO WAY!!!! HER DRAWING CAPABILITIES ARE FOR ME, MYSELF, AND I!!!!!" He shouted. Finally, Konohana said: "All right, I'm finished." Inari excitedly looked but he seemed disappointed, "HEY, THAT'S NOT THE POSE THAT I DID!!!!" He said. Kushinada bounced a little, "Wow-ie! Nice job." She said. "Whoa, it looks realistic." agreed Susanoo. "Seriously, Inari, sell these." Saruta said. "ABSOLUTELY NOT, IT'S MINE!!!!" Inari exclaimed, hugging the drawing. However, manananggals came and try to attack them all until Briar came to the rescue! When she was done, she saluted with a smile: "Sorry about that!" She said, "Just taking care of business." And off she went, leaving the others confused and dazed at the mysterious girl. Meanwhile; Roland and his friends came across a museum where they had a good time there. 

For the time being, there was many silhouettes were by a pit of black water with purple tints. One of them outstretch his palms as the water bubbled and then it sprang up to the surface. This force of power shook the earth, causing Roland and the others to feel it as well as everyone else! The crowd escaped, shrieking in fear. The only ones left was Roland, Elphin, Isabella, Thomas, and Owen. "What's happening?" Isabella cried. "Everyone stay calm, nobody panic!" Roland instructed. Just then, there was a voice that was epicene--it sounded resonant yet countertenor all speaking at the same time: "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here." Everyone was terrified to hear this and looked around to find out where the sound is coming from but the vibration of the temblor from the earth was weary now. "Who said that?" Roland called out. The foppish, deep voice responded back: "Do not be afraid; our fate cannot be taken from us, it is a gift. They yearn for what they fear for, Through me you go into a city of weeping; through me you go into eternal pain; through me you go amongst the lost people. There is no greater sorrow then to recall our times of joy in wretchedness, I am the way into the city of woe, I am the way into eternal pain, I am the way to go among the lost. Justice caused my high architect to move, divine omnipotence created me, the highest wisdom, and the primal love. Before me there were no created things, but those that last forever—as do I. Abandon all hope you who enter here.” "Who are you?" Roland asked. Then, the voice responded back in a foppish tone, "I am your worse nightmare." And then there was an echo that repeated the word 'nightmare' over and over again. Then, the gang felt dazed and passed out. They woke up as the earthquake stopped. "What the hell was that?" Roland wondered. He looked around and saw that his team was OK. However, trouble occurs when Roland saw Alec and went after him as the group then were confronted by more monsters! Roland and Alec fought each other, until something happened that made Roland stopped Alec's sword from striking, then a voice from his lips spoke. But this voice is high, effeminate and growling. Echoing with basso as well as falsetto: "I thought I told you, Roland boy, it's going to become hell for me if you die." said the voice. Alec is shocked by this, "Impossible, who are you?" He asked. The falsetto-basso voice laughed, "You want to know who I am?" It asked. It laughed again and replied in an effeminate and growling demonic voice: "I am...LEGION, thee to be hundred demons inside this man!" The possessed Roland attacked Alec as he laughed like a maniac, "Roland, what a complete fool you are--You didn't know? This is the fever of rage, stress, and insanity. You really are an idiot!" exclaimed Posessed Roland, "Allow me to demonstrate the power of MADNESS!!!!! The Possessed Roland attacked Alec, who was trying to battle as well but the demon deep within Roland fought off against them while laughing like a psychotic monster. Exhausted; Alec panted out of breath and looked at Roland. "This power...That face, are you a demon?" demanded Alec. The possessed Roland laughs, "Why do you care? I don't have to tell you shit because once were done with you, you're all gonna...." He said but stopped when Roland cried out, "..FADE AWAY!" Then, Roland wrapped his hands around his own throat as the fiend within him struggled, "LET GO OF ME, ROLAND!!!" cried the monster. Roland spoke to it firmly, "I DON'T NEED YOU, STOP GETTING IN MY WAY!" "YOU'RE THE ONE WHO'S IN THE WAY, DON'T YOU GET IT? I JUST WANT TO KILL HIM, YOU WILL LISTEN TO ME AND DO AS I SAY!" The demons cried out, both falsetto and basso in synched. But Roland was a lot stronger. "YOU BASTARD!!!!" The creature shouted. And left Roland's body who has no memory of what happened! During the battle; Elphin was being beaten by the enemies, who was about to make the finishing move until something dark, barmy creeped inside of Elphin, who blocks his enemy's attack. Then kick drop the enemy to the ground but then Elphin's voice spoke however it wasn't his. It was a falsetto, bass voice--both womanly and virile growl in there: "Sorry but nobody is getting by Elphin that easily, YOU JERKS!!!!" Possessed Elphin laughed with maniacal intensions. His enemies were defeated as the possessed demon exclaimed, "I AM LEGION, WE ARE ONE!!!!!" But then, it looked like Elphin was trying to choke the demon by seizing her throat with both hands. The demon coughed, and gasped, and wheezed. "NO, WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME?! IT'S JUST LIKE WITH ROLAND. HOW COULD YOU? NOT YOU TOO? IF YOU KILL ME NOW, I WON'T HAVE ANYONE LEFT, DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?! YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME?!" The demon shouted. Then, Elphin shouted: "GET. OUT. OF MY. HEAD, LEGION!!!!" She felt the madness of this demon departing from him. He was exhausted but he clutched at his side. That night; Isabella couldn't sleep so she curled her knees up and hugged them while she was in her despair. "What can I do? How will I face my fears? I don't think I can." She thought. Watching her; the foppish, resonant voice laughs at her misery. "Oh, Poor child. Poor sweet child....I love it when you can't face your fears sweetheart! I think you should kill her, Oh Isabella—don’t cry my dear, sweet girl. Fear not, for I am I’m here for you." It said, chuckling like a maniac. Isabella was lost for a moment when she heard someone speaking to her in her mind, "Isabella...." Isabella jumped at the sound of that foppish voice that was soft and tender. "Huh? Who said that?" She asked. The voice responded once: "Isabella, you must have a serious problem. If only I could do something for you...But there is something!" "Who are you?" Isabella inquired. "I am an Oracle, I've come to help." The foppish yet resonant voice. Isabella was happy to hear this, "You have?" She said, sounding relief washed over her. "Yes, Come closer so I can tell you more." The Oracle said, beckoning towards the bed. Isabella sat on her bed, "Come a little closer, darling, we mustn't lurk in doorways. It's rude. One might question your upbringing. Well, how can you face her sweet, lovely child? How can you face your fears? I've heard many scary things about her. They say she's a maniac, a witch, and under power of darkness." The Oracle said, "Not that I blame you, she deceived with heartaches and hardships." The Oracle chuckled, "Well, little gem, the solution to your problem is simple. The only way to get back at her is that you have to be mad as a hatter." It said. Isabella couldn't believe it, "You think you can help me with that?"  She asked. The Oracle responded back, "My dear, sweet child. That's what I do. It's what I live for, to help unfortunate people such as you. Poor things who have nobody to turn to." The voice said. Isabella became frightened. "STOP! You want to use me!" She exclaimed. The voice mocked her, "Oh, is that what I'm going to do? Well, that's not what I did. No, it isn’t. Neither is THIS!!!!" Then entered inside her body, Isabella gasped and screamed, "AAAAAAHHHH, HELP ME!!!!" The many voices laughed as they echoed while saying, "Hee, hee hee hee hee! Oh, I haven't laughed so much since I possessed Roland and Elphin, that is until they BROKE ME APART!!!! YOU WON'T THIS TIME!!!!" Her screams were being echoed down the hall, only one heard and ran to her aid. "Isabella!" Thomas called out, bursting into her room. He found her crouching near a wall, "Isabella? Are you OK?" He asked gently. Then, Isabella's voice broke into an effeminate and virile tone: "Thomas, come closer please." Thomas approached her as the voice from Isabella's lips said, "I would love if you would fetch me a warm glass of...." Then she pulled out a red stained knife as she said, "....BLOOD!" Thomas is horrified, "Isabella, what's gotten into you?" He demanded. Possessed Isabella glared at Thomas, "I AM NOT ISABELLA, ISABELLA ISN'T HERE AT THE MOMENT!!!!"  She shouted, her voice sounded very strange. Thomas glared at the demon within his girlfriend, "Who are you?" He demanded. Possessed Isabella giggled, "I am...LEGION! THE VOICE OF MANY!!!" She responded in a shrilling effeminate and virile voice. "What have you done to Isabella?" demanded Thomas. "She's safe, with us." Possessed Isabella claimed. But Isabella managed to break out and shouted, "Thomas, help me!" But the demon came back, screaming in a growl tone: "SHUT UP!!!!" But Thomas pulls out an amulet and wraps it around Isabella's neck. Possessed Isabella begin to choke and gasped, "YOU DISGUSTING BASTARD!!!! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING TO ME?!" The demon growled. The voice was effeminate, deep voice all mixed together. Thomas glared at the demon inside Isabella, "Don't you think Isabella has enough?" He asked. Then he said something that made Legion leave for good from his friend: "If spirits threaten Isabella in this place, Banish their souls into nothingness and remove their powers until the last trace. Let these evil beings flee, through time and space." Legion reluctantly released Isabella and went away, Isabella felt dizzy and almost fell until Thomas caught her. Thomas assured her, "It's OK, Isabella. It's over, it's never going to hurt you again. I promise." He assured her. The next day, Owen was working when he thought he heard something in his room and went to find out where it was coming from. Just then, a demon stood there tapping his foot. "Are you gonna follow the rules, or are you gonna follow your instincts?!" demanded the demon. Owen was terrified, "WHO ARE YOU, YOU LITTLE DEMON?" He shouted. Then the small creature transformed into someone different, terrifying Owen as he saw who it was and the voice spoke in a countertenor, deep voice: "I AM A POSSESSION, A VOICE OF MANY! MY NAME IS LEGION, YOU STUPID BOY!!!!" The voice shouted, then it spoke in an effeminate tone while Owen breathlessly shake with fear, the demon disappears from sight.

In the meantime; Briar received a call of a kidnapping so she and her friends headed over there. During that time, Ferrand was hiding as he saw that he was bleeding and became frightened as he saw it oozed. Splattered, he shut his eyes when he saw blood on the girl as he trembled with fear. Then he felt a hand on his shoulder and gasped with fright. Briar spoke, "It's all right. My name is Briar, I came to find you and your friends." "I'm Ferrand." said Ferrand. Briar smiled at him, "I like to get to know you a little more, Ferrand." She said. Ferrand was so exhausted as he fainted but Briar caught him in her arms. Briar felt a gun in her head, gasped as she turned to see Medea  standing over her. She was drenched with blood and looked insane. It was a scary sight. "I WILL BLOW YOUR FRICKING BRAINS OUT, YOU UNGRATEFUL HEIFER!!!!" The shrew screamed, "HE'S MINE!!!!! MINE, MINE!!!!" However Briar kicked the crazy woman to the ground as she said, "Like he's ever yours!" She remarked. In the meantime; Caliban is rescued by Isabella. When Caliban saw her; he blushed as he remarked: "Wow, you're kind of cute." Isabella gave him a funny look, "'Kinda'? You're weird!" She remarked. In the meantime, Arye was rescued by Thomas and Owen fought while Arye was amazed to see what this guy was capable of. "Who are these guys? Saving me? How did they do that?" He thought. Miranda was avoiding from the chaos as she ducked down. She found a mirror in a safer place as she saw her reflection. "I know this isn't a good time but I must look like such a mess." She thought. Miranda found a brush as she begin to straighten her hair. Just then, she saw Roland in the mirror! Gasping; Miranda whirled around to face him. Miranda took a step back, "Please, don't hurt me!" She begged. "It's all right, I'm not here to hurt you." said Roland. "Who are you?" Miranda asked. "I--My name is Roland, I want to ask....You want to get out of here alive?" Roland replied. Miranda look at him with amazement. "What?" She said. At that instant; Roland and the gang rescued Miranda and her friends while Briar slayed the other monsters. Once they got to safety, Miranda was bedazzed by the view of what was bestowed before her: "How amazing, how many wonderful creatures there are here! Mankind is so beautiful. Oh, what a wonderful new world, that has such people in it." She said. Ferrand smiled at her, "It’s new to you." He said. Briar was amazed by Miranda's purity and beauty but also her kindness. The two girls became close to one another. But she has no interest in Caliban too much while she got along with Arye and Ferrand. Later on, Miranda and Ferrand went off somewhere to have fun at a festival while a street performer singing, "Come onto these yellow sands, and we’ll join hands, when you’ve curtsied and kissed the waves into silence. Prance lightly here and there, and the sweet spirits bear the burden. Listen, listen!" Miranda saw where she can see the sights from a balcony, Ferrand could see her go up there. "But wait, what’s that light in the window over there? There is the east, and Miranda is the sun of the west. Rise up, beautiful sun, for Murias. I wish she knew how much I love her. She’s talking, but she’s not saying anything. So what? Her eyes are saying something. I will answer them. I am too bold. She’s not talking to me. Two of the brightest stars in the whole sky had to go away on business, and they’re asking her eyes to twinkle in their places until they return.  I wish I was the glove on that hand so that I could touch that cheek. Oh, she as glorious as an angel tonight. You shine above me, like a winged messenger from heaven who makes mortal men fall on their backs to look up at the sky, watching the angel walking on the clouds and sailing on the air....Am I really thinking sappy shit? Dammit!!!" thought Ferrand. Watching him down below from the balcony, Miranda thought to herself with a sad smile: "Ferrand, why do you have to be Ferrand? Forget about your father and change your name. Or else, if you won’t change your name, just swear you love me and I’ll stop being me." She shook her head, not knowing why she is thinking this way. At mannerism classes; Briar learns that she must act like a gentle-lady, she must improve grammar. Improve posture. Making smarter. Work on being a kinder human being. Practice  humility. Good princesses are humble. Practice good manners. Always be polite. Work on  food etiquette. Have good manners when you eat. Avoid spitting out food. Be neat when eating. Take proper care of her body. Become a style icon. Briar worked hard, did her chores, and contributed to her home, both with the dwarves and while living at the castle. Being responsible like this is especially important for princesses! Briar was kind to everyone, from cruel sisters to tiny mice. This kindness was what made her inner beauty and brought about her happy ending. Briar was kind and friendly with all the animals in the forest where she lived. She lived harmoniously with the environment around her and you should do the same. Life can be hard sometimes and we can often get really caught up in school or other responsibilities, but Briar shows us that it’s just as important to find joy in life. Briar collected things and saw the beauty in things that no one else could see. Briar had it rough with the people in her life, but she also saw someone who had real opportunity to be a better person. She helped him to heal his own pain and find happiness in life. Like Belle, you should help people be better. When you see someone that’s having a hard time, try to help them instead of just writing them off as a bad person. This graciousness is a truly princess-like quality! Briar didn’t listen to what was normal for her society, she saw problems and she fought against them to improve her own life. Inspire hope. Sometimes life gets really hard, for her and for everyone else. Times get tough and it makes people really sad. When this happens, Briar should try to inspire hope, even when things seem hopeless. Stay optimistic and always work for the best outcome, even in the toughest of times.

One night in the present; Briar decides to take a walk on the boardwalk. Tonight, the moon was big and bright. It was more beautiful than Briar herself as she envies it, if only she could be beautiful and bright like the moon. Then she made a wish. "I wish I could sing, I wish I didn't have to be afraid. I wish to be the most confident girl in the world." whispered Briar. She decides to dive into the ocean when all of a sudden, she felt an adrenaline sensation through her body. Her heart was racing, her nerves wrecking like crazy, her spine tingling, and her veins pulsing. Her rich dark hair was now a multicolor of pink, blue, and lavender. Her clothes changed to a blue top and a matching skirt, high heeled pumps, and her skin became so radiant like the water. Her shy persona turned to a flirty, confident, young lady. She then decided to cause mischief in order to get Roland and Elphin's attention. Once they arrived, the mysterious girl came out of hiding! "I knew you'd come, boys." The mysterious girl of water. She then pounces on them. "Who are you?" demanded Roland. Using her water powers, the mysterious girl said: "Just a little mermaid." Roland dodged her attacks and turn into the fire warrior. "You're definitely getting enough creatures from the sea!" He said. Roland and Elphin came at her, Elphin was about to attack her. But the mysterious girl managed to get away, "Silly boys, mermaids always have good intentions with water!" She said. However Elphin freezed the water. "Hey now, I was just want to see if I was as strong as you." The water girl. "Well, you know what they say about fish out of water." Roland said, using his fire powers. But the mysterious girl escaped and frees herself as she shoots a anemone at him, which the anemone knocks him out! Roland coughs and passes out. He turned back to normal, Elphin lost sight of the mysterious girl. The mysterious girl approached the unconscious Roland, Sorry, Pyro Boy; but I wanted to know just who you are." She said. She wanted to kill him but decides not to: "No, this isn't what I want after all." She leaned over and kisses him on the lips. "It'll be far more rewarding when you see me... again." That's when, the mysterious girl hears Elphin coming. "Until next time..." The mysterious girl muttered to him and then she runs away from the scene. When she got away, Briar transforms back to normal and learns that she has a seashell on her necklace that was a teal color so she may turn into the mysterious water girl so she decides to call herself a good name. After thinking for awhile, she decided to call herself Sirena Rivers. She uses her new powers by becoming an alter ego singer. Her first single is called Be With You. The song went like this and it sounded so familiar: "Grew up in a teeny suburb outside of the world. I hid myself because that’s who I am. I don’t know how to tell everybody how I feel without feeling scared or afraid. Now I want to let it all out. Yearns for a place of opportunity and anonymity. Come take me by the hand and let's go. I will escape the world and learn how to fly, doing whatever it takes to escape this place. Away from all this that makes me feel worthless and into a better place, but I won’t forget everyone I love and will always love them. Dreaming of all the places, if you would come with me. Escape from the pain, find peace inside where I am. So I can be part of your life, your world....wanting to stay and be with you...." The second single is Move On: "Going ninety on the highway, we gonna do it my way. You say you want to go your way and it's not enough for me. We've hit a rough patch or uncomfortable situation but if they really want love to overcome it all. Sometimes we feel that life is taking our breath away and we need to take time to catch our breath.  We need to take a deep breath, count to ten before we react and then let it out. When you are in that state of quiting and feel like giving up. Don't give up. Yes, life is hard, but take a second to breathe and then everything is better. So just move on and breathe, baby. All my life I have struggled with when it mattered saying how I felt. But when it comes to the things that matter that could actually change my life. That could actually change something that puts me in the dark...."


At the concert hall; Roland and Elphin are surprised to see so many crazy fans. "Have you seen fans this crazy?" called Elphin. "No, not since in my days at operas and classical concerts." Roland hollered back. The opening music sounded so much like beat box yet ethereal sound. It went on for about several minutes. Roland and Elphin wasn't so excited and crazy like the other fans in the crowd. Suddenly there is new music in the air. Someone is strutting down the steps, the crowd looks as they looked startled. Roland and Elphin are disconcerted by this vision of the figure. Sirena wore silver spandex top with her midriff showing and a cleavage window, matching stockings and micro-skirt. She wears silver boots and hair extensions of electric green, neon blue, and luminous pink. She was beautiful, mysterious, and talented she was. “Who is that?” Elphin murmured to his friend. Her voice was a lyrical coloratura mezzo-soprano. She sang songs that were metal, rock, goth, doom and symphonic sounding. It sounds awesome! After several songs later; Sirena can see Roland and Elphin in the crowd, she calls at them. “Hello boys, want to come up?” She said in a feline alluring tone. Roland and Elphin glanced at each other with disapproval smirks before looking back at Sirena, Elphin smiled nicely to cover up his smugness. “Thank you but…I don’t think so.” He called. Sirena pretended to looked disappointed, she sneered at Roland, “How about you?” He said. Roland looked at her with disbelief, “What?” He gasped. Sirena took him by the arm, “Wonderful. Come on up.” She said. Roland sighs, smirks at Elphin, and heads up to the stage. Roland went up as he gets a chance to be next to Sirena, who begins to sing a slow song on her piano. Just then, the concert is ruined by the sight of the monsters. The crowd escapes while Roland and Elphin used the medallion to turn into the transformation to fight back but Elphin was slammed into a wall. However, he felt someone next to her. "Hey there, pretty boy!" Sirena Rivers said in a flirtatious tone. "Give yourself up! If you surrender... " threatened Elphin. "...To you?" purred Sirena, using her water powers to seduce him. "Need a hand?" Elphin was about to ge up however Sirena says, "Stop!" Elphin stops as Sirena uses her powers once again. She got behind a dumbstruck Elphin. "Living in the shadow of the fire?" She asked as her arms slithered around him, "You don't need him. You're the flame of the light. I can see it now! Your own spotlight where you are the hero!" She said to him in a soft purr. Elphin was tempted by this offer as he didn't know what to think of this. He could hear a short riff on the saxophone in his head like a male bait for a femme fatale. But Roland broke him out of there, "Don't even think about it!!!!" And Sirena managed to back off. However, she decided to do something before she went. She leaned over and kissed Elphin right on the lips before she backed away as she saw Elphin's shocked face. "Bye." She said, she disappeared out of sight. Meanwhile, Briar found Ferrand and wanted to help him out in his hideout and he agrees. While closing in on their hideout; Ferrand turned to Briar with a glare. "Listen, this team is under absolute secrecy. You can't tell anyone of anything about us. We clear?" He warned. Briar nodded, "I won't, I promised." She said. "Promise?" Ferrand asked. "I solemnly swear." vowed Briar. Ferrand nodded, "All right, let's go." He said. They entered inside as Briar couldn't help but noticed how dark it was, "Why is it so dark in here?" She asked. "We're just entering in here." Ferrand said. They reached the inside from the tunnel like entrance. Briar gasped when she saw lights of Chinese lanterns. "Oh my...It's so beautiful." She breathed. The chamber revealed by the lights is quite large, and filled with a remarkable assortment of junk. Briar glances at them briefly, then moves on. Behind her and Ferrand however, one of the soldiers opens its eyes. It's actually a handsome young man. He breaks rank and creeps up behind them, finally reaching out and grabbing Ferrand around the throat. "Reveal thy name, mortal!" The man said. Ferrand jumped, "Aaah! Oh, Caliban, you son of a bitch! Get your hands off me! You nearly gave me a friggin' heart attack!" He hissed. The young man held his hands out. "Alright, alright, just a joke! I didn't mean any harm." He said. Caliban suddenly notices Briar. He has already noticed quite a bit about her. Briar blushed at the sight of him,. "Who, may I ask?" asked the young man. "This is no stranger. She's Briar Morgan. And he's Caliban." said Ferrand. Briar couldn't believe it: "Caliban?" She thought. Caliban smiled, "Briar, huh. It is an honor and a privilege, milady." He said as he bowed gallantly. Briar is all eyes for Caliban. "How beautiful..." She mumbled. Caliban looked at him, "Miss Briar?" Briar blushed again, "Oh...the lights! They're quite beautiful." She claimed. "Yes, they are. We've had electricity for four years now." Caliban assured him. Briar felt shameful, "I'm sorry to come here at such a bad time. I suppose..." She said with her head down. Caliban put an arm around her, "No, sweet lady, you are welcome here anytime." In the meantime; Briar and Miranda are talking to one another. "Listen, Miranda. Can you fight? At all?" asked Briar. Miranda shook her head, "I don't think I do, I cannot prove my worth." She explained truthfully. "It doesn't have to be, you can still fight for peace." She assured. "Nobody will kidnapped you again and again. And no offense, your friends can't always save you." Briar said. Miranda nodded, she was thoughtful about it.
