Chapter 8: Pulse of the Heart

"So, you saw her." The wise man said. He was sitting across from Devnet Sinclair, who had her face in her hands and looked ashamed. Devnet nodded, "Yes." She said. "And your sisters? Did you know what they were doing, Devnet?" The wise man asked. "No, I didn't. I didn't see them until they came back around noon." Devnet replied. Thw wise man nodded, he understood what she was saying and listened to her as she looked rather upset. She had heard about the reports on the news about the murders and saw who was responsible on the Moneta: Hilary strangled a 4-year-old boy to death on the day before her birthday. She was believed to have killed the boy, Bertilo Fjalarr, all on her own, but she and a friend would later vandalize a local nursery and make claims to the murder. Mary and her friend would strangle another boy to death — this time a 3-year-old. After killing the boy and stashing his body in the woods, Hilary returned and carved an H into his stomach. She then cut off bits of his hair as though he were some sort of doll, and mutilated him. Later, Estella and Solena took another boy on a mile walk to a semi-secluded area, along some railroad tracks by an old cemetery. That’s where the two girls killed the boy. They threw paint into his left eye, hit him with bricks, beat him with an iron bar, and beat him so severely that he was no longer breathing, the sisters laid the boy out across the train tracks and weighed him down so that he couldn’t move, hoping that a train would come and cut him in half. A minute later; Cheryl had toyed with the notion of killing two brothers, and had even posted images with captions extolling the pleasures in watching them suffer as she played dangerous pranks on them. Finally, the four sisters then knocked on a door and were greeted by an elderly woman, who seeing two young teen girls let them in without hesitation in the hopes that she’d have a nice conversation over tea. They did sat chatting with her but then they turned violent and dropped all pretenses. Solena grabbed the old woman by the neck and held her, while Cheryl found a butcher’s knife in the kitchen and tossed it to her. Solena then began to stab the woman, and continued stabbing her while the old lady pleaded for her life as Hilary and Estella held each other while laughing. The sisters ran away like lunatics that they want to do it again because the feeling of killing gave them a good vibration of arousal to violence. The wise man looked at her with sympathy, "I know you're upset, Devnet." He said. "I'M NOT UPSET, I'M SCARED!!!! YOU WERE RIGHT, THEY'RE NOT THE FAMILY I KNEW ANYMORE!!! THOSE PEOPLE....Those people turned them into monsters!" Devnet exclaimed, she had tears in her eyes. She blinked them back and try to look her best to be strong. "What happened to my family? This wasn't supposed to happen like this....Why couldn't anyone help them? I killed those men but still, I thought...." She couldn't get it out of her head: Her mother Cecilia began taking her anger out on Carmeta, beating them with paddles. Cecilia soon focused her abuse exclusively on Carmeta, accusing her of stealing candy that she had bought from a grocery store, and humiliating her when she admitted that she once had a boyfriend. Cecilia encouraged a boy name Peyton Lucan and other neighborhood children to torment Carmeta, including, among other things, extinguishing cigarettes on her skin, beating her, tying her up, burning her with scalding water, rubbing salt in her wounds, and leave her.  She was locked in the cellar and forbidden leave the house. Carmeta attempted to escape the night after overhearing Cecilia's plan to blindfold and dump her in a wooded area nearby, but as she reached the front door, Cecilia caught her and punished her by tying her up in the basement and giving her only crackers to eat. There was so many multiple beatings, burnings, and scalding baths. For years, Cecilia abused and tortured Carmeta in various ways including burning them with cigarettes, throwing knives at them, forced feedings and beatings. She made her children hold each other down while she beat and tortured them. In one instance, she held a pistol to Carmeta's head and threatened to kill her. Cecilia primarily focused her anger and abuse on Carmeta. Her mother resented Carmeta, which she was maturing and blossoming into an attractive young woman while she faced the prospect of growing old and losing her looks. Cecilia also believed that her ex husband had turned Carmeta into a witch. Because of this belief, Carmeta received the worst of Cecilia's abuse. Cecilia became convinced that Carmeta was casting spells on her and shot Carmeta in the chest with a pistol. The bullet became lodged in her back, but Cecilia refused to allow Carmeta to seek medical attention and left her to die in the family bathtub. Carmeta survived so Cecilia began to nurse her back to health. Carmeta eventually recovered without receiving professional medical treatment. Cecilia beat her, tied her and locked her in a hot closet with no ventilation. Cecilia forbade her to have food or water or to open the door to the closet. But in her teens, it gets even worse: One night as she was trying to get home; Carmeta decided to take a 10 minute shortcut to her when they encountered gang members drinking beer after holding a gang initiation. The gang members captured and beat her repeatedly. Then, the members attempt to strangled her to death. The leader of that gang was Peyton Lucan, and the others was Shane Turk, Jedrick Fuller, and Tyler Damhan. Since the last night beating; Cecilia blamed Carmeta for everything and she sold her to the soldiers. All of a sudden; Carmeta was kidnapped and fertilized as she gave birth to five daughters. But her daughters were taken from her and she was devastated. But then, she was given terrifying powers that left her thin as she begins to feel much more dark. After she got out; Carmeta was a suicidal, depressed, misunderstood, tragic, abused and tortured girl who only wanted empathy and love. She use to feel lost, and does not know which path to go, there’s nothing that anyone could do for her. It seems that every day there’s a new reason to cry about, and eventually the problems stack so high that Carmeta can’t take it anymore. Carmeta's been broken so bad that she is lost and trying to find herself again, she never shows her feelings she keeps them inside. Her life is a series of constant failures, she is spread out too thin, being all over the place. As she was broken by some sort of rejection, and now can’t return to the state of stability, or even sanity, she might just fade away. After dealing what happened; Carmeta just went insane. "Nobody could help her, why couldn't they? Instead they laughed and they hurt her so much....Did anyone care? How can this be?" Devnet muttered to herself. That's when she was having a meltdown: It seems impossible to make big life changes, and even small decisions are harder and harder to make. Her prevalent mood is a sullen, gloomy feeling while she suffered from low-grade stress and her body feels tense. This is when the wise man helped Devnet, who was now feeling exhausted and depleted. It turns out that she has a serious developmental disorder that impairs the ability to communicate and interact. She went through things like meaningless repetition of own words, nonsense word repetition, poor eye contact, repetitive movements, screaming, self-harm, or persistent repetition of words or actions. In her own perspective view; Devnet finds the world very confusing and chaotic because her mind is very literal and logical. She was having trouble understanding the expressions on people's faces. She still have trouble with some people. She is also hypersensitive, clumsy and can get very concerned. She likes solving problems. The horrific truth to Devnet's condition is the reason why she was tortured of those horrible experiments. Those experiments were trying to make children like her into a super soldier!

Lying in bed; Genjo is thinking about Roxanne and the incident from the elevator: Genjo has her trapped in his arms that blocked her. "Roxanne....You don't have to walk the streets as a prostitute anymore; it’s in the past. I loved you since I first bought your services, and I promise I won’t talk down to you or treat you like an object unlike those other men. I'm jealous that you used to play with other men, and I pledge to be faithful to you. You're the only girl I want to be with, so I feel there is no need for you to look pretty when I've already made my decision that I want to be with you. And that's all I have to say so you can put an end your harlot ways."They were so close to each other when they look like they were inch apart from their faces and they look like they were going to....In the present, Roxanne just met this guy, but she finds him so appealing that she’s as determined as a girl who’s been lusting for a guy her entire life to hookup with him. Roxanne feels incredibly lucky that she just happened to show up in the elevator. Roxanne finds this boy to be uniquely attractive and other guys just wouldn’t have been the same. Roxanne isn’t the only girl who’s interested though as all the other girls seem just as turned on by his dancing as Roxanne. Since all the girls want him Roxanne is going to need to protect him especially good this time from any danger that crosses his path. This guy was resistant and not easy to hookup with. Roxanne is trying to hookup with the guy she’s attracted to but it’s proving more difficult than she thought. The guy is resisting her first moves, but Roxanne is persistent in trying to get what she wants and continues trying to seduce the boy she’s lusting for. Many guys are afraid to approach girls due to fear of being rejected. If the guy doesn’t approach however, then it’s as if he was rejected because he never got a chance to make a move. Most likely he won’t get another chance so he should just see how it works out. He has encountered life’s troubles year after year. It drives home how crazy Genjo’s life has been: In his life; Genjo’s grandfather died as the summer ended. At his grandfather’s funeral; Young Genjo cried, ran home and locked himself in his room. When his mother got home and knocked on the door to his room, Genjo simply said, “Wake me up when September ends.” Here comes those times again, written in the stars called destiny. People only become what they really are when they feel pain, so that they can’t hide their real personality anymore. Spring was a time when Genjo's grandfather was still alive and can also represent the innocent, youthful period of someone’s life. Modern day; Genjo thinks that Roxanne is like the fruit that wants to be picked. She was like grapes, she’ll make the lucky one who picks her feel inebriated. Wanting to be picked. Genjo believes he is ready for her and for her to stop using excuses to avoid him. He’s willing to give her all he’s got and she knows it, and Genjo is getting tired of waiting. He thinks Roxanne is using excuses related to it being the right time. People know one thing: All know fruit grows better in summer, the quality of fruit is so much better. He has been saving all summers, when he’s been at his best equality for a girl like her. Her body is framed into something a guy can take a bite off of. She wants to be fruitful as her body’s beauty.  If she doesn’t pay attention to life out there, she’ll fall into depression and disappear. The next day, Genjo ran into Roxanne coincidentally and greeted her: "ROX-ANNE!" He called, coming up to her. "What are you doing here?" asked Roxanne suspiciously. "I want to tell you something...I'm not going to be here long, I'm going off to college. To be an artist." Roxanne looked at him with a confused look, "I--What? Why are you telling me this?" She stammered. Genjo just shrugged, "I came from Quivira, I came here with my friends to have a blast here. But I want you to know, if you care to find me; I'll be at the Silver Branch University." He said. "What about looking for Cassandra?" Roxanne reminded. "I know, I want you to know something....I know that I'm not really ready for further relationship but I know that she really can’t wait for it anymore. I had been waiting for the time to come when I meet someone special to me. I was really anxious about the moment when I first met you. And I really strong feelings for you, even though it’s not love. I want to know if you feel the same way."

Things got pretty complicated for Maggie Mae as she was lying in bed of her room and thought about a lot things. The same thing goes for Lalena, Seiten, and Kenren who also was thinking about their lives. Lalena thought about her time as she used to be with Maggie Mae during the red light business: Lady Marmalade and her partner, Cross-Eyed Mary worked together in the world of business. It wasn't something that they were used to doing. And their names weren't really 'Lady Marmalade' or 'Cross-Eyed Mary', it's what they are put up with. In wealthy area in the city where their clients pay for her meals by claiming them as business expenses. Somebody who performs illegal things that are not with the law as the world seemed mad with the life of a harlot. Girls like Lady Marmalade and Cross-Eyed Mary would rather have an intimate time with a lecherous old man than somebody her own tender age. In this instance she divert her attention from the old to the homeless. To give something for a song means to give it away for a very low price. So these two offer their services for next to nothing. They walk the streets, turning tricks for money in cars, alleys, motels, They have to earn money they need to survive, as well as to likely hand over to their street hustler. While people see them as a bunch of harlots, they never look deep enough to see the real person inside. There are deep problems and sorrow that individuals are dealing with by not knowing the whole story, and cannot see the whole picture. This person’s life is simply unhappiness, and stressful situations, and not much else. Street hustlers, Johns, the way the money controls Lady Marmalade and Cross-Eyed Mary, and won’t let them both walk away, and the idea that no one cares, no one loves them, and that they have no reason to leave the rat-race, and therefore continues on with a life they would rather not be living. There is a certain type of payment and they're kind of cheap. Most likely they would chose this cliche location because it’s cheap, out of the way, and any nosy neighbors will be too entangled in their own unsavory acts to point fingers. This place is so seedy and repugnant that any self-respecting person would steer clear, which is convenient for the more unsavory characters of the night. The place is so unholy that anyone who practices the religion would wish to cross themselves against the evil within the building. The sign is used to ward off impurity or in response to extreme blasphemy, which is appropriate, since this place is full of both. The place is old and broken down, perfect for women of promiscuous nature. It's like a naturally-occurring, heat-resistant material that is harmful for girls like these when they deal with the life of prostitution. While the woman is described as a chaste maiden initially, her innocence comes into question later, as it becomes clear that payment for her services is a position at the lawyer’s firm. The fact that the girl is wearing hers before such a vile act as fortification paints her as innocent, but this isn’t really the case. Lady Marmalade has given her body as exchange for a job at the lawyer’s firm. She doesn’t know about his infidelity so she will continue to stay with him, the accommodations are in such disrepair it seems as if they are falling apart as people watch. They have a job as a moonlight worker for the extra money they need. Their least favorite things is to be with men so they can get their money. She’s done more than one of her least favorite things for her clients. stains on sheets and sleeping with roaches. These are the things a no longer optimistic and cheerful person sings of, but the things a depressed and broken person sings of. If men are not feeling so great, a good woman will cheer them right up. Since they are just so happens to know a skilled tart, he’ll just bring them around to her place and they’ll be feeling better in no time. The room isn’t the only thing decaying. The very souls of the people inhabiting them are falling apart as well, and a tart who has been arrested for theft. Her sailor returning home from sea, alluding to a brothel, the ruin of God-fearing people. Lady Marmalade and Cross-Eyed Mary were living in difficult lives: Families under financial stress because of a father’s addiction, and new clothes were made by mothers. Their fathers had a gambling addiction, they once believe that a person addicted to gambling doesn’t need a family or friends, they just need to move around and keep getting their fix. Drunks are only happy and comfortable when they have their fix of alcohol! Lady Marmalade's father is trying to leave and find a better life, but cannot bring himself to do it. He just hang around, as if jailed in the city. She remembered her mother telling her: "Don’t follow his example, just don't honey. To not to do what he did, and get stuck in the house of sin and misery. He was sucked into the evil, and it destroyed him." Lady Marmalade's real name is Maggie-Mae while Cross-Eyed Mary's birth name is Lalena.

Maggie Mae had to get into the mall. The mall was huge and big, escalators all around and shops that surround her. Above her was a large skylight, shaped like a hexagon and made the mall inside bright like heaven was shining down, a sign to say it was going to be a good day. As she was walking, she noticed something was up when she passed the entrance and only about more than a few gunmen came in and that's when it all began! A shooting, shots were everywhere. Maggie Mae was so scared so she ducked into one of the booths, pretending to be dead so they wouldn't find her. It was oh so quiet that she could hear the cheerful music playing overhead and she passed out in the silence until she felt someone beside him, "Poor sweet girl...." said a man's voice. She looked up, "Help me..." She whimpered. The man was surprised that she was still alive and helped her up. She and other survivors got out of there but she was in tears at what she saw. She heard that there were more people being held hostage. For the time being, the main goal was to finish without walking. There is, in a small national park somewhere which is a running path. This path is hardly unusual: it is roughly twelve miles long, and makes a circuit around a small lake. Most of the path is wooded, and it is regarded by the locals as a beautiful little place to take a breather and catch some peace and quiet. People who jog along the path observe nothing out of the ordinary. Lalena was running so much that her jogging came to a stop on the side of the path. Standing astride it, she drank eagerly from her water bottle. Wiping her mouth on her arm, Lalena put the bottle back and was about to run, when someone ran up besider her. "Nice day, eh?" The young man said. He was tall and thin, and wore a hooded grey sweatshirt and black running pants. His face was concealed the sunglasses and the hood which hid his face. Lalena saw nothing unusual about this. "Yeah. It’s perfect out." She remarked. The young man nodded. "Wait 'til the climax, there's gonna be fireworks!" He said, he ran off and was gone. Lalena was confused but shrugged it off. She kept on running, maybe she could see she could get through this marathon soon enough. Before the runners, crossed the finished line; A bomb went off in the city. The bomb was the biggest she’d ever seen. Lalena saw a flash of blue light, she couldn't believe this was happening! Everything was covered ashes, and made the streets look like an ashen desert, almost lifeless and hazy. No signs of anyone could be seen, smoke and piles of debris were scattering all over the city. Only about two hundred and sixty-four people were treated at twenty-seven local hospitals. Eleven days later, only twenty-nine remained hospitalized, one in critical condition. Many victims had lower leg injuries and shrapnel wounds, which indicated the devices were low to the ground. At least sixteen people lost limbs, at the scene or by amputation in a hospital, and three lost more than one limb. There were three spectators that were killed: Abisha, Jessamine, Cain, and Officer Benito. Those were friends of Lalena's as she was emotional about their deaths. She will always remember them because they helped her a lot in the struggling times with her job and life. For Seiten, he was thinking about a lot of Maggie Mae. How sexy and sweet she was, how different from the other girls.

Seiten was walking out at night when he saw something walking like a zombie towards him. His eyes are watching Maggie Mae as she was staggering, and he begins imagining that she is standing alone as she wore a red lingerie with a blood stained body from head to toe. She holds up the heart of a pig for him to see and eats it whole. Then, she starts to unzip her clothes, revealing bare skin underneath and a cloud of blood flows out from beneath the cloth. "Maggie Mae, is that her.....?" thought Seiten. Then, he begins to smile as he was excited to see her. In reality, Maggie Mae was exhausted but she almost fell over and Seiten helps her to get back. Meanwhile; A drop of blood slow falls from the air above Seiten's bed. More and more begin to fall, covering his face and pillow as he stares up at the ceiling. There was a carpet of blood and the naked Maggie Mae, who is covered only by a few strategically-placed blood drops that are slowly falling away as she is reaching her hand over at him. Seiten wakes up and he sighed but he heard water in the bathroom and went to see who's in there. Inside the bathroom, Seiten witnesses  Maggie Mae reclining in a large bathtub. She says: "I've been waiting for you." When he walks closer he sees that the bathtub is filled with blood. "You look good, I can see how much you kill." said Maggie Mae. Then, she looked at the bathwater.  "Is the water to you warm blooded or cold blooded?" Seiten dipped his hands into the water and looked at the blood before drinking it from his hand as Maggie Mae leans her head back as she could feel the blood in her and lets out a climax spasm. Seiten woke up as he was ashamed by the stupid dreaming he had in his head. It wasn't too dark as light poured through a boarded up window, it was morning. She scans her surroundings as only to snap her attention turned to a corner with a shuffling sound. "So, you're finally awake beautiful." A voice murmured. She looked and she saw Seiten in a straitjacket, "You OK?" asked Maggie Mae. "Oh, yeah. All tied up so this isn't nothing new." Seiten remarked sarcastically. Maggie Mae can't remember what happened as she looked around at the windows and the door, checking to see that they were locked however Seiten is watching her every move while in the room. "Whatcha looking at?" Maggie Mae grumbled, prying a plank from the floor. It wasn't like him looking at her bothered Maggie Mae one bit but somehow, a faint blush creeping on her face as she could feel Seiten's eyes raking her while he chuckled. Maggie Mae sighed, sitting back in her corner. A lot of time has passed and Seiten stretched his arms out, he looked at Maggie Mae and grinned wickedly: "So, what do you think about killing people?" He asked. Terrified; her mind was shrieking, "What kind of question is that?" as she flattened herself on the wall while Seiten chuckled again. He shifted around and he seemed uncomfortable. "Ugh! These stupid restraints." He muttered with a look of a disgust. Maggie Mae walked over and removed the restraints, "What the hell?" Seiten started to say but then he felt loose from the straitjacket and grinned, throwing the jacket off him. Seiten stretched while Maggie Mae watched him for awhile. It was now dark out and Maggie Mae yawned but she didn't sleep. She begin to hum to herself, while trying to stay awake. Seiten watched her, mesmerizing by her. It was quiet for a moment until Maggie Mae looked at him, "Seiten?" She asked. "Hmm?" Seiten responded. "What do.....What do you think about me?" inquired Maggie Mae. Seiten looked at her with shock, "Did she ask me that?" She seem want to know this, "Why would he not be scared of me after all we've been through? OK, I don't know him that much!" In the meantime; Seiten could feel his heart racing, he didn't want to admit that he was falling for her. He anxiously didn't know what to say, but there was a mushy part of him that wants to melt in her arms as wants to nuzzle her neck. That thought that she was thinking of the same thing made Maggie Mae blush but also disgusted. "You know something?  I've always thought you are the most beautiful woman I've ever seen." said Seiten. Maggie Mae blushes, "Really?" She asked. "Since the first time I met you." Seiten said. "That's nice, that really makes me feel good. Someone like you could really make it alright for me." Maggie Mae replied. "You think?" inquired Seiten. "Yeah." replied Maggie Mae. The two managed to escape from the room and got away as Maggie Mae couldn't stop holding Seiten's arm.

Kenren couldn't stop thinking about Lalena, he really thought she had some potential as a girl. In the meantime; Kenren appeared before Lalena with a music box. "You like it?" asked Kenren, he then closed the music box. Lalena looked away, "Um, just thought the song was beautiful. That's all." She claimed. "Me too, I think the song is wonderful." agreed Kenren. "Yeah, sure." Lalena replied, looking annoyed. Kenren noticed her attitude, "What's wrong? Did I do something to upset you?" He asked. Lalena glanced at him, "Why are being nice to me?" She demanded. Kenren realized what he did, "Because, you need someone." He explained. Lalena didn't believe him, "Uh huh." She said. "I'm just here if you need me, I will never abandoned you." Kenren remarked. Lalena looked at him with disbelief, "You? You're pulling me leg." She snapped. "I'm not, but you seemed interested. Very different." Kenren spoke. "Liar." Lalena muttered. "Why would I lie?" asked Kenren. Lalena glared at him, "People I know do, I can't trust people." She said. Kenren was perplexed, "You can't trust people?" He said. Lalena sighed and she walked away. That night, Lalena and Maggie Mae were hanging out when they heard something tapping against the window, Maggie Mae looked out the window and her eyes widened. "Uh, Lala? I think you wanna see this." Maggie Mae said nervously. Lalena looked out the window, her name was light up in neon lights. "Oh crap, it's him!" She gasped. "Huh? Who?" asked Maggie Mae, confused. "He must be filming me right now!" Lalena claimed, rushing away. Still perplexed; Maggie Mae called out: "Uh, Lala? Is there something you want to tell me?" Lalena didn't answer as she looked out the window and saw someone was filming her from his window and smiled while she layed there in sweat pants and a bustier. She smiles, knowing someone was watching her and it makes her feel good. The next day, Lalena was outside again and was really enjoying the great outdoors, the sky was blue and the breeze felt nice as she closed her eyes to feel it brushed against her. "Having fun?" Kenren asked. Lalena turned around and glared at him who had a video camera in hand, "Stop video-taping me." She snapped. "Look, now that you're happy; I want to make you my project." Kenren said. Lalena looked at him, "Me? Ken-Ken, you're weird but you really don't have to do that." She said. Kenren looked brooding, "Yeah, I know. But I find you interested. I told you, I'm curious." He reminded. Lalena smirked, "Let me borrow that for a second." She said, snatching the video camera from him and video tapes him, "Ah, now it's my turn to project you." She said. Kenren smirked back, "Me?" He said. He took the camera back. "Hey!" Lalena protested. Kenren turned off the camera, "You owe me!" He said. Then, he leaned over and tried to kiss her. Lalena couldn't believe this scandalous maneuver, "Oh--!" She gasped and dodged him. "Don't even!" Lalena prompted. Kenren smirked, "I know, just messing with you." He said. Lalena smirked, "I'll show you messing around." She hectored. Then, she leaned in and liplock with Kenren but when she parted her lips away and was shocked. "Oh god, I'm so sorry..." She said. Kenren was stunt, "For...what?" He gasped. He didn't want to think and try to touch Lalena but she pulled away. "No, I...Maybe I shouldn't do that. I'm really sorry..." She stammered, looking all red in the face and very much mortified. She was trying to be flirtatious but something was beating in her chest like a hammer. What was going on with her? She left there, confused, because she never felt like this before. Lalena didn't know what was going on with her. The same thing went for Maggie Mae, "Why did he say that I was beautiful? I don't get it...Why do I feel this way?" She wondered.

Later; Seiten was looking over the skyline and Kenren was sitting by the lake, each of them were thinking about their lives: Seiten and Kenren come from a poor household and eventually left with food stamps in one hand and their stuff in the other. In his life; Seiten was in a rough place in his life living in a life of poverty. The people there were so poor they didn’t have much of a say in anything. And on top of that, the foundation of their lives were made from liars and thieves. They didn’t have jobs or money, so lying and thievery were the ways in which to survive. Soars beyond their roots; Kenren came from a man who got his mother pregnant and left her as if she was nothing to him. He meets the biological father but wants no good to come to him. He’ll be able to rise above his demons after being held down his entire childhood. This man used and manipulated Kenren's mother and broke her down. But there’s no way she’s taking this sitting down. They both were fearlessly seeks a spiritual connection and they leap from the confines of their own inner demons. Instead of being the hunted, Seiten is now the hunter. He wants to get back at those who have wronged him and his family in the past and is now in the position to do so. He has revenge on his father who walked out on them or even the people for trying to wrongfully enslave his life. Eventually the wrongs will be right, putting an end to the injustice. Desperate and broken; Seiten and Kenren were going on a crusade, but now they are maybe prisoners of war, punished for all the lives they took through blood and pain, because they thought that the people they thought cared about them was defending them, but it was a dream to think that those bastards was on their side. Man constantly tests their own will, and with this constant test they not only doubt themselves, but also affect the positive aspects of the world around them. It was s time for them to be out in the open so they can be free, the lessons learned on the battlefield of love are only the stepping stones towards the war ahead. They were promised to rid the earth of wrong. But they were the ones wrong, and they lost their kingdom, due to the crusade. They thought they were blessed but they only thought. In the end, they know they aren’t. The good and the evil line says that both sides are hurt, anything can happen in war, but no matter what, anyone can have to always keep on fighting and persevere. Even the holy will be harmed; the good and the bad both suffer from war. Seiten once said, "Who says what’s right is right? Who says what’s wrong is wrong? The way society sees it, stealing is wrong, and unfair to others. But the way poor people, with families, who steal, well, they steal to survive, cause the low-class jobs don’t give enough money as it is. I’m not saying stealing is right. I’m asking what makes it wrong, when you’re doing it for a good reason." He’ll never give up, no matter what direction he has to go in. He’ll fight until the end of the world itself, if that’s what it takes. In the meantime; Kenren is known by most, but he's nothing special. He is like a traveler or soldier, who has seen a lot of the world, good and bad. But he can’t get enough of seeing the world and will go on. Only if he got a fortune he’d quit travelling and seeing more of the world. Kenren has seen the world. He vows to fight to keep up the good work. He sees the dawn on the horizon and he believes in a better tomorrow. In his heart he is free. He is running away from all others but the very one goal he is after. When he was ordinary. He did not want to taint his life with his shine. So he sets himself free. He tried to keep himself as long as he could and that was selfish of him, but that moment in time was enough to whisper across eternity. He stops thinking when he should think and let things just sink into his mind. His visions are starting to become clearer to him. He is starting to be able to see the light and he can’t keep control on his focus because he wants his heart's desire. Everything he was promised when he made his sacrifice seems to be withering away, he is not willing to consider anything but the worthy.

He made a promise that he would wait and he will wait. All the mistakes he’s made are piling up and are starting to form a mountain on which he sits. He learns of how people of lesser rank that he sends to battle are killed due to his command and acknowledges that their death is caused by his own commands. He then realizes his mistakes and takes greater precaution in enabling his people to prosper. All the mistakes that were made yesterday, are coming to get him today and are going to affect his life in the present. He doesn’t want to see that the mistakes are affecting his life in the present. The pressures of life are coming down on him and is testing someone that is close to him to help him if he were to break down. The life that they were living was so stiff that there was just no excitement. There was no fighting and while most people would think that this would be a happy thing. He needs some type of unpredictability in his and he cannot live this stiff lifestyle. He feels as though they will never do more in life, he feels as though he is being buried by the pressures of life and yet he doesn’t care. Kenren wants to break down and let go of all the emotions that he has inside. he’s done with living that way. This lifestyle was killing him on the inside. He tried to be someone he’s not, but it didn’t help him. It's not easy to pretend and eventually the reality of one's self comes out. Kenren has found out who he is as a person. He understands himself and becomes more self actualized. When some people are afraid of the dark, he thrives off of it and know that the danger is only what he could see. Problems don’t go away because they aren’t being acknowledged. He was once told something: "When you love someone you can pretend you don’t see bad things and it’s less likely you’ll get hurt. But even when you’re with a stranger, problems don’t go away because they aren’t being acknowledged and unfortunately it will never get painless." He remembers not to be afraid of the dark for the problems that are there. Every time again he wants to be able to handle the problem and don’t close his eyes for them but it’s not working and that is driving him crazy. Maybe they actually forget about it all, try to hide the problems and act like everything’s allright. He thinks if they could do that, it could feel like they’re in heaven, like everything is fine and nice. He says he isn’t human anymore, that he’s just became a machine without a soul. Only the outside of him still excists and that’s the shell of what he always dreamt. "The fantasy is your life’s greatest passion and dream. Do you sacrifice your entire being for what you want? Do you see your passion clearly? Or are you being deluded with the idea that you cannot accomplish what you seek?" The words echoing in his head. He is on the path to rehabilitation, and it started when he lost himself, the odds are not in favour, suggesting that the steep upward slope that an individual has to travel. Kenren is falling back and he is taking someone with him, "As time goes on, you achieve and fail, you gain and lose, and change so much. I will never forget what I’ve gone through, and because of that, I can go on living. I’m not going to apologize for getting you in trouble, but maybe we’ll see each other again, one day." Kenren is reflecting on his life and how he's living it. Everybody wants to be different and seperate themselves from others. But he’s thinking about if he could actually want to be different. Some people hope and believe that they can and learn from their past mistakes, to change their character. Kenren, however does not believe that this is possible. Life is a game because there is so much that a person must face in order to get through it. Being young is a game of secrets and illusions. With everyone trying to be different, it begins to seem like they’re all playing the same game. A major characteristic of rock music is to go against social standards and expectations, a perfect way to describe social interactions, especially when it comes to being the new person in town or high school in general. The game of life can get out of hand. All of a sudden with all of the secrets we’re keeping from the world it can become too much. It seems as if everyone can see right through the act. caught up in the fear of not being themselves and then they remember, it’s all a game. Everything they’re keeping from others is for the sake of that game, so really there’s no need to stress about the lies. Life is such a beautiful thing yet it brings pain to those who live it. Lies are typically seen as a negative thing, it’s beautiful. Which I suppose in a way, it is. There’s something about the game of life that is intriguing. Especially in this case, where it’s as if everyone is wearing a mask and everyone has a secret part of themselves. There’s always more to discover in a person than what people first see. In his past, Kenren was passive and violent. All the effort that Kenren does to reach his goals, all that is because he works hard. He succesfull in his dreams, or be always looking for that broken dreams. Kenren found a special home in Quivera and the rawness of this exposes the love he feels for the city. Enjoy each moment of their lives, no matter how, just live it. Seiten and Kenren has been flying on Cloud Nine, Oblivious to reality. stuck on and they know very well he destroyed. Is this mental breakdown the end they feels? They still flying high of enlightenment, great sorrow comes from this life called mortality. All of the laws of the Universe they’ve broken, all the hearts they’ve broken, have they come to the end of their journey? They're still flying high, they're lost in the dark searching. They wouldn't trade their souls for the lies they are fed, lust after their shine, is this the end of their fight? In a previous life they were the great love of their lives. they've seen them in their dreams. They see themselves with each of Maggie Mae and Lalena together but they can’t hold on to the reality because of these two lethal and fragile girls. Obsession consumes the soul. They pursue the obsessions until they choke the life from them. They will love something that is bad for them until they break. Seiten knows Maggie Mae could see her in the darkness. Kenren just want to reach out and grab Lalena.

But now; things became different to them. Murias Island used to be a clean, peaceful world to start new beginnings but the streets are no longer safe for youngsters with the likes of these wretched hussies--Maggie Mae, aka Lady Marmalade, and Lalena, aka Cross-Eyed Mary took up residence in the once blissful place. These vulgar termagants represent a clear, present danger to a person near anyone. Maggie Mae is a carnal desired woman who's thighs are lethal than the guns she fires in hands and her explicitity of life with being a different girl. And then, there's Lalena. She's streetsmart and badass as she is not to fight back with her talons. She's beautiful all right, beautiful enough to make guys crazy about her and girls wanting to kill to be her. In reality; Kenren was there and waited for Lalena to come. "Are you going to try and kill me?" He asked, his voice like a melody. Lalena shook her head, so Kenren relaxed, but not completely. "What are you doing here?" Lalena asked fiercely. "Um...Well, I...." Kenren stuttered. Lalena was annoyed and snapped at him, "Ugh, Nevermind..." Kenren felt insulted, "Excuse me?" He spoke, he sounds snippy. His smile turned to a frown and he stepped right into your face. "Who the hell do you think you are? I deserve some respect."  Lalena glared at him in front of you and pushed him aside. "Show me some respect before I cut your tongue out!" She remarked. Kenren only stared and frowned. She thought of just leaving him here and pretend like you never found him. But that meant he might die and she don't know why that frightened her so Jamie smiled then, cockily. "Oh, I see...These tricks. Your here to make my surrender easier, am I right?" He said winking. Lalena scoffed at his ridiculousness attempt at swooning. Although she couldn't help but notice how skinny and fragile he was under that crisp white shirt. "I am no such thing...Frankly, I'm here to kill you..." She said. Kenren smiled again, this time intrigued. "What on earth is such a beautiful woman such as yourself doing on a mangy building? I could help you know?" He said. Lalena scoffed again. "No really..." He said. Kenren dropped the act. His face clear of any lies, he was genuinely concerned and interested. Lalena's heart swell from joy. "I don't think you can..." She slowly swept her legs and it was passed right through. Kenren's eyes grew wider by the second. His mouth agape and his expression horrified. It took him some time to come to his senses. She knew it wouldn't last. She felt tears in her eyes and looked away, she couldn't do it! He then comforted her and says he doesn't care what she is and claims that she is his friend. "I won't let that happen. I promise. " Kenren said, his voice full of reassurance. Lalena embraced him and couldn't stop saying, "Sorry!" over and over. Suddenly, the dark room was surrounded in a bright light and as Kenren opened his eyes once again, he came face to face with a breath-takingly beautiful and completely naked young woman...Well, she was wrapped in a towel but still. "Hello Kenren, are you feeling any better?" asked Lalena. "Um, yeah." replied Kenren, blushing. He begin to sniff the air, "What's that aroma?" He asked. "Do you like it? It's tea tree oil. Nice smell isn't it?" Lalena said with a smile. "Yeah, it smells good." Kenren said, trying not to let her see him blush but it was dark except for that light tinted in the background. The next day; Maggie Mae woke up all stressed and try to calm her nerves however painful reality sets back in. On that same day, Maggie Mae was out when Seiten appeared before her; confronted her before seizing her jaw, pulled her in and kissed her right on the lips. Maggie Mae was lost for a moment before she pushed him away in shock while she admits as she blushed: "I....I never been kissed before, that was....that was my first....OH MY GOD!!!!" She screamed and tackles Seiten to the ground and confronted him however Kenren stood over her, warning her to let go so Maggie Mae does. Kenren turned to him and asked, "Did you got what you came for?" Seiten grinned, "Oh yeah, let's go." He said. Maggie Mae was shocked and she felt her heart beating in her chest. That feeling made her feel so strange, she hasn't been in love for a long time, Maggie Mae hasn't felt like this in a long time and she remember how she was so close to him that she can feel his excited heartbeat. "Could this be what love feels like?" She thought.

Meanwhile; Madame Teresa saw Roxanne was alone and came over to check on her. "Roxanne?" She asked in that accent of hers. "Nothing." Roxanne said. "Now daw-ling, I understand you're depressed but you don't need to lie. Tell dear Madame Teresa about it and I will listen." Teresa assured her. So Roxanne told her what happened today with Genjo. By the time she finished, Madame Teresa looked at her thoughtfully and said, "Life is short, you can do so much. You should look on the bright side, and use what you’ve been given positively. You should live life to the fullest and not worry about small, unimportant things. Time might pass by quickly, but the little moments you steal for yourself will always be with you in your memory. Let your hope and happiness shine until it’s everywhere and you feel wonderful." Roxanne looked away but Madame Teresa continued, "You can be the best as long as you try and use your abilities to the fullest and believe in yourself. If you work, you can be the best at anything you want to be. You can be strong. Anything is possible when you put your mind to it. If you believe in the strength of your actions and you have the right motivation and willpower, you can achieve anything. You can also beat the worst things in life that seem unbeatable, like war. You just have to believe you can. You can beat the clock — you can live by your own schedule and not have anyone controlling you, you can do anything as long as you believe and persevere. You can do whatever you want if you set your mind to it, instead of just waiting around and hoping something will happen. Make it happen. Dedication, passion, and faith is all you need. Work hard to achieve your goals. You can do the toughest things with ease if wish to and apply yourself. Even hell can’t be a problem for you if you do that. Just try it. Most people never develop their biggest talent because they don’t try. Do whatever you are doing for the people that got you there. Do it so you can always be proud of yourself and others can be too. You’ll never know what things are like if you never actually try them. You’ve got nothing to lose." She smiled and looked back in the day, "Girls...they are like the pink sugar kind, seeming innocent and sweet on the surface, but their lips are intoxicating. Women and men are intrinsically equal when in a relationship, and are more than capable of creating equality. But unfortunately, that’s not how it plays out in real life. Someone always has to assert dominance, and whoever loses will only want to get back at them next time. It’s as if it’s a crime to be a little submissive to each other. It only takes one thing to go wrong in a relationship to make it not last, to screw it up, and make to people have trust issues. Boys who don’t grow up and only interested in pretty girls, so they’re easily manipulable." She sighed with a smile, "Boys these days...They can be intriguing to girls. They have a lot to offer--adventures and good times. She wants to be near them for these obvious reasons, and also to prove to them that she’s just as worthy as they are."

Roxanne took the madame's words to heart and pondered for a moment, then she made her decision and dialed Amadan's number. He answered and Roxanne said: "Amadan, plans changed. I came up with a new idea." And she smiled.
