Stitch Heart--Chapter 5

This is the fifth and last chapter so be patient as I have more ideas for all of you. Here is where Mia and her friends encounter new encounters, secrets, and finding the truth to the ghouls. She finally found out who was behind the source of all these ghouls. Meanwhile, Karen becomes a ghoul eater by accident during her fight with Mia. And she has discovered the unbelievable truth of her father and Mia that will change everything. This is getting exciting so please enjoy my friends! Thank you. --KatDon 

Chapter 5: Stitch Up My Bleeding Heart, Again

While walking in the storm; Helena turns her face away from the wind as another gust catches her hair, splaying it across her face. The rain is pounding down, she look behind her, but the street is completely dark. She turned and walking more quickly, however a ghoul appeared. Earlier, Helena was told about these ghouls from Elissa and that there was a ghoul eater among the world. The ghoul attempt to jump her however someone came upon the ghoul and tackled it to the ground. Then, Helena was so scared she could see this person was eating the flesh of the ghoul--It was none other than her best friend, Mia! She looked all hunched forward and her mouth was stained with blood. Seeing this; Helena completely froze with fear but managed to talk to her: "Mia, is that you?" She said. Mia stood up as she said, "Hey Helena." Helena was stunt but she smiled in relief. Later, the two girls became close after talking for quite awhile. "So, let me repeat myself, you're not afraid of me?" Mia asked. She and Helena were next to each other, lying as they stared at the ceiling. "No." Helena answered. "How can you be so nonchalantly about this?" Mia said with such surprise. Helena chuckles, "What am I supposed to feel?" She inquired. "Scared? Freak out?" suggested Mia. "I've seen lots of scary, freaky things. This nothing to me." Helena said, shrugging. Mia was amazed to hear this, "Wow, you must be experienced." She said. Helena laughed, "You have no idea." Soon, Mia was laughing with her too. Afterwards with Helena, Mia and Felice were talking and walking with each other. Mia became comfortable with this boy around. "Mia, wait up!" A voice called out. Mia recognized that voice, "Hey guys!" She greeted towards Dorian, Sauta and Jamie who came across her. "Who's your friend?" Saruta asked. Mia smiled and introduced her friend, "This is Felice." She said. Mia turned to Felice and she introduced 'him' to Dorian, Saruta, and Jamie. Drake and Alexander came across Mia and her friends as they were told that they got a phone call from a woman that sounded tearful: "Please! You have to help me....Somebody has kidnapped me and he wants to tear me apart....Limb by limb....Have mercy, please....Help me...." They head to the apartment, where the phone call and went to the elevators. The elevator door opened as Mia, Felice, Saruta, Dorian, Jamie, Drake and Alexander stepped out. It felt so dark and creepy but they knew they had to find out where the phone call came from! That's whe they saw it: Emerging from the doorway. It was a girl...Or what's left of her. Her eyes were hollow, her face looked like a flayed mask, and her ruined, finger-less hands, reaching forward. Then it said, "Help me! Help meeee!" Terrified, Mia and the gang rushed out as they went to the elevator doors. They could still hear it behind them, croaking. And scraping. Dragging itself behind them. The elevator opened mercifully and they all crammed inside, relieved but forgot to close the door. She was coming, it was coming and Mia punched the elevator doors close, praying. The last thing they saw before the doors shut on her were her bloodshot, lidless eyes staring straight at them and there was a tear shed. In the news reports say that the girl's name was Alesia and it said that she had crawled on her stumps, bleeding gallons, dying only inches away from the elevator door. Nobody knew what happened to her! The next day was chaos: Nearby, a cluster of ghoul children were tearing into a struggling mailman. With screams exploding all around like mortar fire, sprinklers washing blood down a neighbor’s driveway as a ghoul woman digging through an old man’s stomach. However those screams would last when Mia took on the children and ate their bodies, even eating the ghoul woman as well as the old man, who was going to be turned into a ghoul soon. As he dodged the ghouls, Drake fell and scraped his abdominal area against a neighbor's fence. Alexander saves him from the ghouls. Then, they found the home of Hans Ernan, who was a peculiar man that smiled all the time. It was pretty creepy however he wanted to make a confession: He told them that Madame Hulda had caused the people at the beach to have melted flesh, bleeding stumps, and exposed skulls and bones. The reason? Madame Hulda was trying to fulfill her mother's prophecy of End Times, her mother was the elderly dame name Madame Trudy Hildebrand, a force feeding fundamentalist pious lady who wants to bring the world into chaos before 'eternal peace' comes all over the world. 

He told them about the monsters roaming the world: The ghouls were not just mindless animals intent tearing into skin and muscles. The ghouls had a mind though. One single mind. It was the mind of the virus, and it's far more intelligent than anyone could have ever anticipated. Then, Hans told them about how his wife was sick so much that she almost died as she became better as a ghoul. He loved his wife did and that's when, Madame Hulda had caused the beach to be polluted with acid that caused everyone who swam in it to have these problems. When the ghouls came along, they came like wild fire. One bite, one scratch, one simple transfer of bodily fluids would be enough to turn us.. He told him about how he got home from work: "It was a beautiful day to leave work early. I walked through my neighborhood and my face warmed by the golden haze of the low-hanging sun. I heard only a piano—her piano, playing just for me." He turned and called for his wife, "Lalage, where are you? Come here." No reponse, Hans sighed and walked to the next room with Mia and the others following. The woman stood by the piano, her sundress radiant in the late afternoon light. Her face hidden from the others. Hans smiled while he took the woman in his arms and said to her, "Lalage, my sweet. You look so ever lovely to me as the day we met. Let the world go to hell, I have you." He held her close, brushed back her hair, and as she sank her teeth deep into his throat, he kissed her cheek. He didn’t mind as long as it was her. Only her. Only Lalage, his lovely wife. Then, Hans lie there dying with a smile on his face, and the ghoul woman looked up at Mia and the others, blood dripping down as she smiled nervously with impossibly sharp teeth. Mia pulled out Drake's gun, held it at her head and said, "Sorry." Then, she pulled the trigger and the ghoul girl fell into a heap there, dead from the bullet in her head. Back at Tirnanog, Drake was OK and not infected but he was injured and bleeding from the wound. He lifted his shirt however Felice shyed away from it. Mia looked at Felice, confused, and assured him that he was OK. Felice was still not looking back as he stammered, "I know, that's not--His chest--I, um..." Then she couldn't believe she was doing this! "I--I'm sorry!" Felice said timidly and flushing red. Mia was surprised but perplexed by this: "Why? What's wrong?" She asked. Felice rummaged through his wallet and pulled out his ID: "I--I--I haven't told you the truth....This is my true self." She said. Mia was perplexed, Drake took it as he said: "Ohhhh....kaaaayyy. Huh, Belle. Very unusual." Alexander noticed his friend's hand covering the picture, "There's something there. Under your hand." He said. Drake dropped his hand, "Oh, sorry." He said. But then, they both saw the picture, they were in complete shock. "WHAT THE--?!" Drake and Alexander said in unison, "FEMALE?!" Mia looked over Drake's shoulder and she was shocked too as she glanced over at her, stammering out in confusion: "I--Uh---Um--What the--?! You gotta be kidding me, no way. You're a girl? With that clothing." Belle looked at Mia straight in the eye and asked, "What about you? Are you the Ghoul Eater everyone has been speaking about?" Mia looked at Belle, she closed her eyes and then opened them again but her eyes have changed: Her eyes were pure white as it blended well with her whites called sclera as she looked at Belle, who was startled. Drake and Alexander were startled to see this. "What do you think?" Mia asked, she smiled as her teeth are sharp and looked terrifying. Belle was stunt so she took off her hat, unbuttoned her jacket a little as her cleavage is seen just slightly. She took off her pants to reveal a skirt was underneath. And let her hair down. "It's true, I am a girl. I was just cross-dressing." 

Drake and Alexander were stunt at this sight, "Well! That changes everything!" Alexander remarked. Mia could not help but chuckle a little. She then laughed as well as Belle, confusing the two who exchanged glances at each other before looking at the two girls still laughing. Later on, Mia drank the blood of Belle and her friends from the blood bags as she begins to see their memories inside her head: The first memory shows what happened to each of the girls. There was Belle's first memory: Out of the dark, a strong arm wraps around her waist, and she could feel a dampened bandanna covering your nose and mouth. Panic swells in her gut. She tried to screamed but it's muffled, and she try to wriggle away from the person but his grip is like steel. "Well aren't you cute?" A warm chuckle in her ear and feel a slight wrench of her hair as he pulls her head back. Her body is slowly slumping compliantly into his arms from the drug. "It's always nice to have a little fun with the pretty ones..." He said. In the next memory, it was Jean's remembrance of ho she and her sister got kidnapped: Jean look up again and he's staring at her intently. "What-?" Jean begin, but then he leans in almost too fast to catch, and before she knew it he had her trapped in an embrace. Too dumbstruck to react, Jean just sit there and let the attractive boy hug her for a second before she suddenly feel a prick in her shoulder. "Ow!" Jean yell and throw him off of her, jumping up to see some sort of tranquilizer stuck in her arm. Jean quickly rip it out and throw it. "WHAT THE HELL?! WHAT THE HELL?!" Unfortunately, Jean stumble over the side, weak in the knees, falling but then she could feel a pair of arms encircle her waist. He pulls her back in. "Lemme go-uh yew crep.." She said, slowly getting blurrier as the drowsiness begins to take over. Her body feels heavy, as does her eyes. Inside she was enraged, but so, so sleepy. The last thing she hear before she fade into rest is the sound of a mysterious boy's soft whisper, "I'm so sorry..." He did that too Hervor as well. Another memory shows of Sherifa's memory: Sherifa suddenly feel a little pinprick in her arm. The dancers around her become dark figures and the lights blaze as her vision becomes bleary. Her knees give out and she slump forward into his chest, but he catches you easily. "Gotcha!" He laughs, stroking her hair. "What did you do to me?!!" Sherifa screamed but came out as a slur. The world spins, and all that's left is the sound of his laughter and that Cheshire cat grin. And that happened to Constanza as well. Weeks later in another memory; there were the kidnapped, young girls being sold for ruining their innocence. The girls were given numbers of identification pinned to their dresses. But Belle stood out. She stared at them with a piercing gaze. There still fight left in her eyes. Belle was living in a fantasy world and not reality, where everything is perfect. Innocent as she was before she was kidnapped. She is living in a world in her head that no one else can understand, she’s been so absorbed in her own world that she hasn’t taken the time to notice the world around her. It’s all about her point of view, nobody else compares to Belle and her own fantasy while living in the cruel life. The world wasn’t 'the best'. has become cold and cruel towards the things that she loved when she was younger. Belle felt as if she’s crushing other peoples dreams now. She was told once that don't live dreaming awake. Someone told her once: "If you’re heads in the clouds you need to be grounded and know where reality lies." These corrupt people want to destroy this fantasy world she has built around herself for love. She wants him to be exposed to the real her, not the fantasy version of herself. She wants to forget her old life. This excessive form of daydreaming might be from trauma or abuse.

From Jean's perspective of her own memories; it showed something different from Belle: In the world while struggling in slavery and abuse; Jean numb the pain with drugs. These drugs can act as a stimulant or a depressant, making her feel either much better or much worse. They can also distort her perceptions of size and shape. Her parents would put her on as free love lifestyle was in full swing. Of course, these pills don’t do anything mind-altering either. If she was looking for confirmation that illegal drugs work better, so she can expand her mind more, provide more intense sensations, than the ones that her mother gives her, she would go ask someone who’s gotten high on them. She would be toked on opium. Jean plunge into a trippy world on hallucinogens. Jean would be having a bad trip, when going high was going bad, giving her horrible hallucinations or physically sickening experiences. It's when she wants more of when buying or joining a party. The policemen telling these users to leave a place where they’ve been on these hallucination narcotics; sending them to the battlefield. Jean was also high, and getting depressed as well as lethargic because of the drugs she'd ingested. When everything seems to be tumbling down on her, Jean would take stimulating drugs, and she then becomes happy with her place in the world. Dreams and psychedelics make for sloppy logic, and throw the proportions of the world out of whack. Jean would take more narcotics in order to feel better and expand her mind and consciousness in general. And then, there was Hervor and her point of view in memories inside her mind: Jean has been hoping and wishing for better and brighter days to come. She has seen and experienced things no one should ever have seen. There are things she wishes to say to people, but she can’t. She wants to know why people live in a society that doesn’t let us speak these things. She is praying to The Giver Above, telling him to keep her safe in his strong arms, whose almighty arms cover us all and tower over us like towers. The visions and hope that the voice gave them the choice to escape the bad stuff bringing them down, and allow others to do the same. Hervor will prove that things can get better and that it wasn’t fake, this is how people live. Like they are constantly at war. It’s a tough battle. Spritually speaking, she and these other girls are oppressed. What they would have to do to get back their childhood and life before all of this. Children are promised that they will grow up to marry someone special, particularly girls who are the most common victims of slavery and abuse. Hervor feels that the way they live is barely life at all. They want to go back before it all went wrong. They just want to be a single unit again. They want to be together. What ever it takes to get the truth no matter what it costs her. "All of the day dreams, the fantasies you have don’t count for anything… but the real things you have, the friendships, the real accomplishments- that’s what matters." Her voiced echoed in Mia's head. 

There were many men who physically assaults some girls by punching them in the back of their heads and pushing them through the glass top table. One of the men attempts to strangle a girl, but she is able to break free, and gain enough time to locate bullets and a gun in a case. When he turns around to attack her again, the girl shoots him in the head, causing his brains to be splattered on the wall. These girls took down the rest of the men one by one. One delivered a neck snap or slow strangulation, another shot them with a gun, one used a knife to stab, and the other one used a flamethrower. The girls there were tough as nails and pretty things that should not be messed with: The first one is Belle is the leader and is just trying to get her and her friends' freedom. She is left alone in the world when her mother dies and she accidentally kills her sister while trying to kill her step-father, he tries to kill her first. When she is sent to an 'insane asylum'. really a cover for a escort service, she does all that is in her power to help her and her friends escape this hell. She is strong-willed and awesome, yet she has her sensitive moments. She faced many challenges while trapped in the asylum. The second is Bubbly Jean despite her situation she always manages a smile. Her older sister Hervor does everything to keep Jean safe and Jean loves her to death for it. Jean was the first to make friends with Belle when she arrives and is instrumental in getting everyone else on board with the plan. She was the first one to take Belle under her wing.  She shows empathy and pity for Belle and tries to comfort her, which shows her sympathetic caring side. But on the battlefield, she is probably the most eager to fight. The silent helper Sherifa though she don't say much as she always want to help. Regardless of if she just met someone you see the good in them so when Belle arrives, she instantly want to be friends, but she holds back for fear of the unknown. In most of the adventures she is the silent helper the one that gets everyone out of the trouble they're in. Sherifa is the most empathetic of the girls. She is their fiery pilot and lollipop lover! She is easily intimidated, but can cause bad damage to an enemy when needed as she utilizes a fighting machine with a bunny symbol. And lastly, Constanza is a really sassy girl who isn't afraid to help her friends, but sometimes she can't help the way she wants. She is all for Belle's plan of escape and agrees almost instantly to help with the plan, but when things start to get hairy she freaks out and accidentally betrays the plan. When she confides what her and her friends are up to. What she sadly gets her and her friends caught but until the end she tries her best to do whatever she thinks is best for her friends. Constanza is the confident, tough girl of the group.  She does not warm up to Belle at first, but soon all the girls become close. She proves to be a tremendous fighter, but Constanza is not as tough as she seems. 
In Mia's childhood, her father was a nice man. He was funny, nice to be around and loving. They would do lots of fun things together. When Mia turned 13, she noticed things started to change he was angry at her, and he would blame her mother for how she turned out to be. Mia remember she thought she would apologize to him because he was ignoring her. When Mia apologized, he said nothing and walked away. This made her feel even more sad and helpless. Her didn’t approve of any choice Mia made and called her many profanities and blamed her mother for everything. He would often throw things, cuss, slam the door, break kitchen cabinets and then after his tirade, he would apologize. Mia and her family all forgive him and move on with their lives. But thing is, he would always get mad, blame someone for it, break stuff, cuss, and throw things, and then always apologize afterwards. This was his pattern. Mia moved out to get away from him. She only had to deal with him during visits and it was the same thing, hed get angry, cuss, break stuff, and blame me or my mom and then we wouldn’t talk and then he'd apologize. Finally when she was in her late teens, Mia and her family couldn't take it anymore as they left him because of all the hurt he caused them as well as the fact that he had cheated on Mia's mother and abused his mistress until she became an insane woman. For the time being while getting help and recovering of therapy; Karen went to back to her job and made many discoveries about her boss: Madame Hulda was a cranky woman who had aging lines, plump, and pretended to be a kind person when she wasn't for real. She also had an attitude, very rude to Karen and to everyone else, including her husband. Madame Hulda only favorites her annoying, violent, and word repetitive son name Fourbin. There was many things that annoy Karen and other people: Fourbin thinks he's totally perfect that people would love to hate them, if only he wasn't so nice to her all the time. Fourbin believes he can sing, but he can't. Fourbin chew with their mouths open. Fourbin talks in a nasally voice. Fourbin laugh at his own jokes before he can actually reached the punchline. Fourbin talks loudly in public places about his personal problems. Fourbin makes stupid faces when he doesn't understand something, and who consequently are making a stupid face all the time. He latches onto Karen and follows her around people until Karen feels like beating the hell out of him. Fourbin likes to take it upon himself to cheer up the world, whether the world wants to be cheered up or not. And lastly, Fourbin is so determined to be politically correct that they are no longer able to finish a sentence without the aid of an attorney. All this man-child ever does is paced the room and talks things out loud as it appears to be very annoying. He talks about being many things like a police officer as he thinks everything is a felony! And other annoying things: He wants to be the one to push the elevator button--Nobody else can but him. While being with him; Mia doesn't hear nor understand anything that he says, She wants him to shut up! Karen doesn’t wanna know all his background information. Karen just wants to have fun with her life without him! She wants him to be quiet, she wants some action! She loves the song so much that she doesn’t want to talk to this guy, she just wants to enjoy the music. She doesn't care about his life story, she just doesn’t want him to talk. Mia's not’s giving it up that easy. His voice is fricking annoying as hell! Karen doesn’t give a damn, she is so bored that she would rather count the cars that pass by. She doesn’t care what this guy thinks of her. She’s her own person and he doesn’t control her. 

Then, Karen got to meet Madame Hulda's sister name Madame Salome Klaus and her husband, Peter, were a nice couple. Eccentric, odd with a dry sense of humor but nice. However, she was always moody, it was hard to tell if she was in a good mood or not. One day she would be nice, then the next minute she would be annoyed with Karen for no reason. Despite this, Karen had trusted them and hang out with them. One day, Karen was then shocked when she learns Madame Salome spread horrible lies about her. And worse, Madame Hulda refuse to believe Madame Salome did something. Another time, Karen did not call back Madame Salome because of the fact that she was tired after a long day. The next morning, Karen realized he was supposed to go out with Madame Salome to see a movie so she text her. Karen was shocked to find out in her message that broke her heart: "You didn't respond to me last night after we promised to catch up with some friends on a movie night. When you text me, I laughed at you and shared it with my husband. He laughed with me. You are a disgusting, selfish person and I never want to see you again." Karen couldn't believe it and text back, "OK, if that's how you feel then I guess we can't be with one another anymore." But then she got another one that shocked her harder: "Fine! I don't need you and neither does Peter. Goodbye, you piece of crap! LMAO!" It was horrible, Karen had never been so upset in all of her life. Never felt so betrayed. In the meantime; Madame Hulda and the staff were mistreating these kids and want them to deal with it. Karen had voiced out her disagreement but Madame Hulda did not listen to her so Karen quits. Not along after, Karen didn't feel comfortable to be around her as she sensed that something was wrong with Hulda, she wasn't 'Mama Hulda' as she called herself. Karen and Hestia were upset by how much evil and manipulative Madame Hulda is. As stated before; Madame Hulda  has mistreated the 'special kids', making parents pay more than a hundred dollars. She never gives the best treatments as she promises she would and making those poor kids with syndromes and disorders deal with the problems they have. And abuses her use with the blue bloods to restrain the violent kids in the most physical way as she is verbally and emotionally abusive towards her staff. Even towards the good ones and she fired them whenever they try to speak their mind about the kids. Madame Hulda treats everyone like they are special, like a mother, but she doesn't help the kids who are being bullied. She forces her staff members in long, long meetings. She is greedy and only cares about is money as well as who to victimize next. She needs money for her hair, her clothes, and at the beauty salon. It was really pathetic. Mother Hulda doesn't resolve big things with either teacher or student, she even accused a volunteer who was a crude man that writes children's books about 'special kids'--to being a child predator, a drug dealer, having a dirty bathtub in his house, had naked pictures of himself, and how his teeth is bad. Her sister also work at the place, by bringing people in who are closer to them and do not bring others who seemed to know better because they think they are going to screw it up for them. The most sick part is that people can't see the menacing, spiteful, and money grubbing crone that Madame Hulda is. In a review about Karen's former job, someone once commented that this place was like a country club. Disgusting! Revolting! Unrelenting! Nobody could escape this madness, it was like the people were blinded or brainwashed. Karen could not understand it as she plans to expose the truth about how terrible Madame Hulda is. And is going to assist her passionate sister into helping kids.

Just then, Karen had a sudden desire to eat ghouls' flesh and she ate them as she begins to have horrible memories of tormenting experiments. She then drank her mother's blood after Hestia accidentally cut herself. Karen could see the horrid memory: Hestia passes out and experiences what she perceives to be a strange dream in which she is forcibly conceived by a demonic presence in front of many other people. When she wakes, she finds scratches on her body. Since she was attacked; Karen had visions of Mia's memories: 21 year old Euphemia Irving, her friends called her 'Mia', is a high school graduate is destined to be a writer. She's a gifted at writing as she has complete sentences as well as amazing words. She used commas, exclamation points and other things to end sentences of her stories. She was talented, but her stories were dark. Lately, she had been working on he ninth volume to her blog called Stitch Heart Online Journal. The story she's been working on is called 'Sky Agents'. Mia has dark ash blond hair, dark brown eyes, olive skin, petite and she was beautiful. She has a fit but buxom figure, which explains the large breasts and doesn't think of her looks too much but wants to look young and pretty for the rest of her life. She has two sisters, Isabella and Elwyna, and two brothers, Roland and Thomas. Thomas is 22 years old as Roland is in his teen years. Thomas and Mia don't get along! Roland is sick of them fighting with one another, like a bunch of babies. In her life; Mia's older sister, Elwyna Irving is engaged to her fiance name Aubrey Pericles. Aubrey was a pretty nice guy, cute, and he had a job. Except there was one problem, Aubrey's parents was the cause! Jocasta and Laertes, those were the names! Jocasta was utterly self-oriented, self absorbed woman. She projects herself an unrealistic image of herself. She lacks empathy for others. And she will never compromise. She hates Elwyna's mother ever since she met her, Jocasta wasn't afriad to tell her. She'll try to turn Elwyna and Aubrey against her, making sure they don't visit her for long periods of time. Jocasta is abusive, critical, she will verbally pounce on Elwyna for any mistake and milk it for all its worth. Jocasta enjoys making Elwyna--as well as other people--feel uncomfortable, she will ensure that Elwyna or her family will not feel welcomed. Jocasta is also disappoving, mean-spirited, fault finding, finger pointing, and malicious gossiper! She cannot accept that her son is an adult now, refuses to be second place in her son's life, and regards Elwyna as an intruder. She continuously tells Aubrey that he would be better off without her. It's all about Jocasta, she is totally obsessed with herself! She will attempt to consumed everyone into her world, draining Elwyna or her mother of self-esteem and confidence until no one can do anything without her approval. For example, Jocasta criticized on Elwyna's weight and think she's a 'fat cow'. She bullies her into plus-size wedding dresses. Then, she complains that Elwyna and Aubrey's wedding should be a baseball theme, which is the worst and hideous idea ever! Imagine, the newlyweds in baseball hats, uniforms, and baseball bats. What was going on in this woman's head is beyond anyone's guess. Another example would be: Jocasta was throwing herself a big party and has gone to a lot of trouble to send out hand written invitations. Elwyna's invitation says “Dear Aubrey” and does not mention her. Elwyna and Aubrey planning your wedding! You have invited your bridesmaids, mother, father, and in-laws around to talk about it. Jocasta says she wants the wedding held at a particular venue. When Elwyna suggest another venue; Jocasta stiffens and walks away shaking her head. On the weekend; the two couple are looking forward to spending a relaxing day at home with when the phone rings. 

When Elwyna answers it, it's Jocasta who says: “Is Aubrey there?” and does not greeting Elwyna. Elwyna replied, "He's busy. Sorry Jocasta." Jocasta sounded annoyed, "I might have known you’d be inside sitting next to the phone. Put Aubrey on. He probably needs a break from whatever you’ve got him doing." "Look, he's busy getting ready because we're going out. Why don't you leave a message and we'll get back to you?" said Elwyna. Then she says, "Why don't you drop dead and divorce my son while he still has life left in him." And then, she hangs up. Another time was when Elwyna and Mia are looking at retirement villages for their frail grandfather and left the brochure on the coffee table at home. Jocasta pops around’ to see Aubrey, spots the brochure and picks up the brochure, rips it up into pieces, throws them at Elwyna and says menacingly, “Do you really think you can get rid of me that easily?” And left! When Elwyna's car breaks down and you are stranded for two hours by the roadside as she calls for help. As Jocasta heard about this, she laughs and says she wishes she’d been there to see her. Now Jocasta has really screwed herself with Elwyna and Aubrey this time! She has become reliant, valetudinarian, and she has appeased to be incompetent but she's really self-centered who's being such a good actress for a crummy mother-in-law. She is attempting to dominate their lives every day, she only craves attention from Elwyna and Aubrey. The only thing she likes better that she's taking up the residence than the soon-to-be newlyweds are. If she doesn't get the attention, she will use emotional blackmail to make Elwyna feel guilty by saying things like: "You neglected me!" or "You abandoned me!" Once she has Elwyna at her beck and command; Jocasta will use her as a maid to cook her food, clean up things around the house, and other things like that. Be her errand runner! And when she's not being so needy; she's the 'pain the ass' achiever! She gets praise from every person, she takes her accomplishments to stride, and assumes that there is no such thing as failure. Jocasta is so high up on the pedestal that her skills are mountaining won't help Elwyna come up to her level. And she's pretending to be nice to Elwyna to use her in a way to bring her down. What's worse is Jocasta is a scandalmonger too! She's interfering, always snooping, and has relentless gossip. She is the fly on the wall in Elwyna and Aubrey's life and seems to know everything is going on before anyone else does! She is an intrusive presence, nobody can hide or shut her out of any daily goings, nor any humiliating little secrets from prying eyes. Jocasta will use an personal information to manipulate everyone else's life--even Elwyna's too. Now, she wants the wedding to speed up quickly! Why? She wants to be a grandmother soon for she is impatient, insensitive to Elwyna's lack of fertility issues. Jocasta is also baby-obsessed and possible an interfering, possessive future grandparent. She aims in life to be a grandparent and looks at Elwyna as she views her as her incubator. She ignores Elwyna and Aubrey's career goals, pesters poor Elwyna relentlessly and once the child is born; she wants to take over and dominate the child rearing process. So in general, Jocasta is nothing but a pain in the ass, interfering cow who makes Elwyna's life miserable. She's a nasty piece of work who goes out of her way to be sneakily horrible. She is unable to accept that her 'baby boy' has grown up and sees his fiance as an intruder in her relationship with her son. And constantly at her for Elwyna's imperfections, hygiene levels and lack of action in producing a grandchild for her. 

How does Mia know this? She's been observing it all and does not like how Jocasta handled things. One day; Mia and her best friend, Helena were laughing together when her cell phone rings. She picks it up and answers it. Mia looked at the posters but then, she heard commotion as she saw Helena walking into the street, still talking on her phone as a car is coming at her. "Oh shit!" Mia thought. She rushed over as she then thought to herself: "No, get away!" Mia called out her name, "HELENA!" She pushed her friend out of the way as the car was edging close to Mia but stopped abruptly. People surround her as Mia had blood matted her face and hair. Everything went black but before she passes out, Mia could see a boy, another one, and a girl watching her. Their faces look gloomy and sad. The girl has tears streaming down her face. "What...why are they looking at me that way?" She thought and then, the darkness enveloped her. It was so dark that a voice called out: "Hey, girl!  WAKE UP!" Mia woke up with a start, she was surrounded by doctors and scientists who then begin to experiment her body. She try to get away but they pinned her to the table as she screamed, she cried, and thrashed for a bit. Just then, Mia discovers that she has some sort of parasite inside her! The scientists assured her that her parasite wasn't harmful but yet, it was changing her. Mia begged them to take it out of her. They refused, telling her that it was 'safe to wait awhile'. Mia did wait, wait in that dark room as she swore she heard screams of pain from the other rooms. She couldn't sleep and she could not even close her eyes. All those people, who were they and why were they screaming their heads off? She had no idea what was going on, it was scaring her. She must have fallen asleep because she woke up to hear the door creaked open and saw the doctors in the doorway, "Are you ready?" Moments later, Mia was lying on the autopsy table of the surgery, the surgeons told her that they were going to keep her awake. They were cutting into her and then, they pulled out the parasite in front of her! Ignoring all the beeping and flashes from the machines, Mia became dizzy and she fainted. When she woke up, Mia was shocked to see monsters clawing at her and she managed to push them off! But then, she discovers that she can eat the flesh of these monsters, which she found out that they were called 'ghouls'. However if Mia eats human flesh; the skin she consumed will make her vomit. So she is destined to eat ghoul's flesh. Afraid of what happened; Karen try to push it out of her mind but the visions came by. In other visions; was the innocence being tortured by the wicked so they turned to the devil for help and he agrees to help, for he will take their tormentors to Hell but after that's done, the innocence must go to Hell too after they die. The devil says that they will never know the joys of Heaven; they will enter a world full of pain and agony. Then, there were terrifying images of people being in Hell of fire, blood, pain, and demons. The third and last is where a man who has been in purgatory of a near death experience but an angel of purgatory allowed him to be revived on Earth. 

So the man returned back to life on earth but realize that a tragedy was about to occur; he tried to stop it while begging to God to not let anyone die. It turns out the man was tricked b the angel of purgatory and was sent to Hell, where the Devil welcome him to the eternal torment and laughed at the man's pain as his soul was burning forever! Karen has severe panic attacks and is calmed down, she becomes fearful, distraught, and has another panic attack however she calms down and gives herself a break. More and more; Karen suffers panic attacks. One day, Karen lay down on the floor and she fell asleep with a troubled brain, she dreamt that she rode on a hell-bound express. The engine with blood was red and damp, And brilliantly lit by a brimstone lamp; An imp, for fuel, was shoveling bones, While the furnace rang with a thousand groans. The boiler was filled with lager beer; And the Devil himself was the engineer. Then in the distance there rose such a roar, "Ha! Ha!" croaked the Devil, "We're nearing hell." Karen awoke with an agonized cry, she prayed as she never had prayed before so she may be saved from the Devil's power. After she cried herself to sleep; Karen woke up wearing a dark violet dress, a black cloak and violet hair as she proceeds to explore a crepuscular labyrinth with a lantern. She walks in closer as she finds an apple and she eats it. Then, the walls close in on her. Karen pushes the labyrinth, the walls open up to reveal a hall of mirrors to a colossal mirror in the end. When Karen reaches the giant mirror, she sees herself as a torturous and evil person which terrifies her. She attempts to break the mirror. Karen finally shatters the mirror, shards went everywhere. There is Karen in a wheelchair which she is trembling. In the hallway, two guard block her. Magical waves exude from her which send the guards flying and cures Karen. Karen gets up from the wheelchair and runs down the hallway to the exit. The doors open to reveal a beautiful labyrinth full of colorful flora where Karen is wearing cream Greek dress covered with strings of pink and yellow flowers and green leaves and has a pink, blue, and orange butterfly in her hair. She woke up and she hunted more ghouls to eat however she was trying to find out how did she become this way. It was then Karen remembered her argument with Mia: Karen broke the mirror, grabbed a shard of glass and try to stab Felice. Mia wrestled her to the floor as the two girls fought. In the struggle, Mia was so angry that she scratched her! Her nails digged into Karen's skin, Mia's blood transferred into hers! Causing her to become a ghoul eater. But Karen discovered the memories of Mia's childhood, her father was a nice man. He was funny, nice to be around and loving. They would do lots of fun things together. When Mia turned 13, she noticed things started to change he was angry at her, and he would blame her mother for how she turned out to be. Mia remember she thought she would apologize to him because he was ignoring her. When Mia apologized, he said nothing and walked away. This made her feel even more sad and helpless. Her didn’t approve of any choice Mia made and called her many profanities and blamed her mother for everything. He would often throw things, cuss, slam the door, break kitchen cabinets and then after his tirade, he would apologize. Mia and her family all forgive him and move on with their lives. But thing is, he would always get mad, blame someone for it, break stuff, cuss, and throw things, and then always apologize afterwards. This was his pattern. Mia moved out to get away from him. She only had to deal with him during visits and it was the same thing, he'd get angry, cuss, break stuff, and blame me or my mom and then we wouldn’t talk and then he'd apologize. Finally when she was in her late teens, Mia and her family couldn't take it anymore as they left him because of all the hurt he caused them as well as the fact that he had cheated on Mia's mother and abused his mistress until she became an insane woman. However, the image of Mia's father looks familiar: She couldn't believe it, no it was impossible! How could it be? 

Then, that means.....NO! "Mia and I are....connected? How is that possible? My father is her father too?!" She thought. In her shock and grief; Karen remembered all the terrible things she done: She remembered a girl who worked at a cafe and was rude to Mia there. Then, a girl who went to the work out gym as she was ambushed by her, who knocked her out with a a syringe and tranquilizer and put her in a music case. At midnight, she came back to bring the girl home, pretending to be a young musician returning from a show. She tied the girl up to a pole in her basement. At morning, when she went down, the girl woke up. "Who!? Please, just set me free!" She begged. Karen came out from the shadows and revealed herself. "What did I ever do to you!? What did I do to deserve this!?" The girl yelled. She laughed hysterically. "What did you do!? You did horrible things! You talked bad about Mia! Now, she's going to fail because of you! I hate it! So now, you will never be able to see him, nor your friends, if you have them, again!" Karen said. You started to sob, tears running from your eyes. Karen brought a knife and carved a scar at her cheeks and hands. She would say "Mia is mine, Mia WILL be mine! HAHA!". Now, the girl's days started like this, she never bandaged Karen so after a month and a few days later, she died sadly. It was from blood loss and Karen used her blood to make a red rose. A week later, a boy spotted Karen stalking Mia so he yelled "Stalker!" and everyone looked at him and Karen. Mia didn't looked and Karen got revenge by ambushing the girl. He died with a stab on the throat. To hide the evidence, Karen dumped the boy's corpse, the weapon, the bloody uniform of hers. Then, she activated the incinerator. His body alongside the weapon and uniform were burned to ashes. She also mopped the blood. Although there was still the smell, nobody could find the evidence.  Later, what Helena could only see right now was... darkness. How did this happen? She was just taking a peaceful stroll in the park, and the next thing she was talking to a girl she didn't meet before at a empty space in the park before--"Ah....You are awake Helena." A wet voice echoed though out the room she was in. She lifted her head to see a dark figure "Y-You? Why--?" Helena asked. "Don't ask me. Just play along okay?" Karen smiled and came up to her. Helena tried to back away but found herself against a wall. That's when her eyes got used to the dark and saw Karen kneeling in front of you, "What's the matter kitten? Do you want your phone?" Karen smiled larger and handed her the phone. "But-! If you are going to ring someone, I suggest not to. First, whoever you call must be a rival. Second is that... you don't need them anyway. Final reason, there is no network here." She said. "N-no network? How?"gasped Helena. Karen giggled, "I could do anything. Anything. That's for my friend, Mia." She explained. Helena stared at her in horror as Karen threatened to kill her if she doesn't speak to Mia anymore. Helena agrees tearfully, Karen lets her go and turns to go. But before she left, she said: "When humans fight for survival, they can do anything. That includes all kinds of gruesome stuff you can think of. I guess I am the same. I need you, to survive and I will do anything for you." She chuckled and closed the door while saying, "So not to make things too complicated, I have you keep you away from Mia right? It's the easiest way!"

Karen stalking Dorian, Saruta, and Jamie. "You couldn't help yourself. Could you?" Karen said, her voice cold as ice. "I-I-We were just... curious." Dorian stuttered in reply. "Curiosity killed the cat." Karen echoed. "Yes, but satisfaction brought it back." Saruta snapped, smiling at that comment. The girl narrowed his eyes. After a moment, she finally speaks. "I'm sorry," She whispers, "But I can't let you get too close  to her." Then, she pulled out a knife and Saruta fights back with his katana but it broke, he picked it up and dodged quickly from the katana. Dorian pulled him along with her and Jamie, "C'mon! It's the sword or your life!" She said. That psychotic girl was nothing more than a crazy person. Dorian and her friends bolted in the opposite direction, towards their house. They managed to get in the girl grasped a foot long, shining knife in her right hand. They got in and slammed the door shut. Chaining and bolting it up. The insane girl pounded on the front door. THUMP THUMP THUMP. Your heart banged on your chest. THUMP THUMP THUMP. All of a sudden, the pounding on the door stopped. Another memory appears as Karen also stalked Drake and Alexander as well: Drake and Alexander head right into the asylum. It's like they've been prepared for stuff like this! Once inside; Drake decided to split up. "It is never a good idea to split up in situations like this.That's how you get killed!" Alexander said. "Well, do you have any other ideas?" Drake said. There was a door into another room, something attacks them almost. Karen wrapped his arm around Alexander's neck, squeezing almost every breathe out of his lungs. "Give me your money, anything you have. Otherwise, I'll be spilling blood." She said in a voice stung like venom. At Karen's house, the two girls argue as Mia wanted to know why would she go and hurt her friends as well as innocent people. Karen claims that these people were trying to replace her with their own existence. "You're so sad. You know that, Karen? Lonely and very sad." Mia said. Karen got mad, "Don't you ever pity me, you smug bitch!" She spat. "I'll pity you all right, because you're sick." Mia snapped. "Why? Because I won't allow you treat me like a replacement doll. Don't you think I understand what they are doing? They are trying to replace me into you're life and they're keeping you away from me." Karen said, sobbingly. She took a knife and begin to slice her wrist but it was a cut as she wasn't trying to kill herself. Afraid that Karen might kill herself; Mia calmed her down in a soothing voice, "Please. Karen, don't hurt yourself." It wasn't working. "NO!!!! Listen to me... all I ever wanted was to be your friend..." Karen said sobbingly. "Karen, I am your friend..." Mia said. "No, you're not!" screamed Karen. "Yes I am." Mia insisted. "No. You're not. We're here because you betrayed me!" Karen shouted. "Karen, I'm your friend." Mia assured her. "STOP! STOP SAYING THINGS YOU DON'T MEAN! I protected you! I protected you against those asshole trio and that NASTY duo you hooked up with! I was trying to get rid of them all for YOU!" yelled Karen, Mia was shocked by what she was hearing what Karen said. 


She managed to get the knife away from her and Karen got more vicious as the knife was being taken. "Well, they all will betray you--that's a promise. And when they do, don't come crying to me, because... I've had it with you. You're so FRIGGIN' weak!" Karen shouted, clutching at her but Mia pushed her away: "Get off my back, Karen!" She exclaimed. "Oh? Get off your back? That's where you've been keeping me, isn't it? ISN'T IT?!" Mia felt bad, "I just felt sorry for you, that's all!" She said. Karen grabbed a potted plant and smashed it on the floor, "Bastard! You poor, pathetic bastard! You're nothing! You're not even a good friend!" She screamed, then she begins to cry. She was throwing a tantrum like a little child. Karen felt guilty for the sins she caused and then she begins to beseech to the heavens: "O Great Giver Above...God....Hear my prayer....For I have sinned.....I'm sick of rotating around day after day and I want my soul to fly free. I'm afraid of changing my ways, so I'm frozen, unable to do anything. Let me free, Merciful Giver, I am trap, and I’d like to escape. I promise to change from the obsessive self and start anew. Please hear me. I won't be doing this for Mia or anybody else but for me as I will find ways to redeem myself and help people. From above, to Heaven, it's not about being a good person but have faith in you. I will purified this world from these demons! Stitch up my bleeding heart, again!" Thus, she will fulfill her promise, to be a Ghoul Eater. Like Mia. Speaking of Mia, she is shocked to discover the news: "Reports indicate that a Ghoul Eater is among Sunshine Town, investigators are still trying to find this monster. There is also people who are alleged to be not human as they speak. Lucky for us, there are many different people who will come to help us...." Mia was shocked, soon she'll be discovered very soon. People want to know about her, she was getting nervous and scared! She did not want to suffer any more experiments. Elissa, who sensed that Mia is worried, told her that there is people out there looking for her. And she better watch her back! Mia asked what kind of people could be searching for her. Elissa told her about these different groups looking for her: The Seelie Court, the Unseelie Court, Night Parade, Santa Compaña, Anarchy Elite, and more. Mia was going to do whatever it takes to keep herself safe from harm as Dorian, Saruta, Jamie, Alexander, and Drake won't let anything happen to Mia or anybody else. And also; Belle and her friends are now new members of Elissa's group so they can keep safe from the public eye so their hustler won't find them or hurt them again.
