Briar Devlin

Fairytale reference: Sleeping Beauty

Her personality: Briar Devlin is a witty, strong, beautiful, smart, and kind hearted young lady. She has a good sense of wise cracking at times but she can be a matured young lady.

Briar hates fighting between comrades, it is a reminder of how she was shaken by how her parents used to fight so Briar becomes fierce and peaceable, causing truces with her powers as she will not tolerate any battles between allies and friends. Briar also has a little good singing voice since she used to take voice lessons but she didn’t take them anymore because of her father’s immature behavior and how he once argued with her voice coach about advancing her. Briar is optimistic, despite in her struggles in her past and what happened in that ‘Grad Bash’ incident at the movie theatre. Despite her calm nature, she has PTSD and has more of a hot blooded, feisty when her friends’ killer is mentioned and how she blow off steam at the killer’s father, who was grief stricken and upset at how much abuse he took from his son.

Briar’s past: Briar grew up seeing her mother being abused by her father and how she had been abused herself. It came to the point where both mother and daughter couldn’t take it anymore and they moved out. But it doesn’t end there. Briar made 12 friends at her new school and begins to bond with them. On their last day of their high school; it goes awry when a shooter came and took away her best friends. Their deaths was all she witnessed. It was the most shocking to see their deaths in the theatre they were at to see the new action film. As grad bash’s fun dream turned out to be a nightmare.

Girl trio: Briar is in a trio team sometimes with Chloe Birchhart and Brandilyn ‘Randi’ Kellan because it is similar with Eren and his friendship with Armin and Mikasa as well as Gintoki with his friends, Shipachi and Kagura. Chloe comes from a family of a cult and her adolescence somehow attract a relative who develops an interbreeding for her but Chloe doesn’t share the same feelings for this person but it caused problems for the cult she was in. Chloe escaped when she learned that they wanted to sacrifice her to their ‘god’. And gorgeous Randi came from a family who were incredibly beautiful but their house was burnt and they got separated. Randi is determined to find her family. Like Briar; Chloe and Randi went through trauma of their own as they too have PTSD. Chloe worked as an assistant teacher but a shooter came in and killed the people she once worked for. And Randi was at the mall until gunmen came in and started shooting. Randi was lucky that she hid, pretended to be dead however she was shaken up and felt guilty for those that weren’t so lucky.

Briar the Sleeping Beauty: “Briar? Sounds like the fairytale, Sleeping Beauty.” was all people would say. Her name Briar is another name for the princess, Briar Rose. Her mother admits that she named her daughter that as soon as she was born because she wore a rosy attire when she was an infant. And how she looked beautiful was sleeping. The fairytale is a metaphor for her; she falls into madness, related to how the princess falls asleep, because of PTSD. But she somehow is ‘awaken’ thanks to the friends she makes and making her more like herself again. But she is still ‘asleep’ and needs to be awaken again or she might ‘fall unconscious’ again into the melancholic madness she has been in.

Her relationship with her recruits: Briar is quite fond of Ichigo because of his personality and how much power he has. She finds annoyance in Natsu’s bickering with either Rin, or anyone else. She scares them with her telekinesis and makes the others tremble in respect for her. Briar has a strong bond with Eren, because of his rage and devastation, even recklessness. The others on this team jokingly says that Briar must have been ‘inspired’ by Eren. Which is shown to be true. Yet Ichigo and the guys fear that Briar spends a lot of time with Eren a little too much because she becomes darker and darker. However, Briar does that for she doesn’t want to say this to Natsu or anyone else because she feels like she’s a ‘dark cloud’ to anyone else’s ‘sunshine’ and she doesn’t want to be around that person if she’s depressed and needs to pour her heart out.

The half-sister she didn’t know about: Katrina Salvatore is Briar’s half-sister, she used to be the most popular girl of her high school and the meanest. Her popular, haughty attitude had caused one girl to self-murdered herself and two boys to cause a massacre.

Inspirations and ideas: Originally, I wanted Briar to come across Lamia Scale and Captain Hitsugaya before becoming leader to Naruto, Ichigo, and the other Big Damn Heroes but decides to go against it. I changed it and found the right storyline for her. The loss of her friends was powerful for me because it was loosely based off The Aurora Theatre Massacre. It was devastated for me and I pretended that I was Briar and those 12 people I pretended that they were the nicest people that I knew. So, that’s where Briar and her horrendous past came from.

Briar actually comes by each of the crew and forms a team. Her powers are cited on different characters: Carrie White, Claire Bennett of Heroes (her powers are kind of squeamish to watch), Rogue of X Men, the telepathy came from different sources:

Briar is known as ‘Freak Girl’ because of the different powers she is reequipped with and how crazy it is to see how she has that much powers. The thing is that there is a reason behind that and it is her disturbed past and how she has so much anger towards the people that hurt her, so much rage that she is willing to take it out on that these are what these powers are used for—Retribution. 

Briar’s reunion with her father is like Sleeping with the Enemy meets Carrie: Her father is willing to get both his ex-wife and daughter back and almost tries to kill her however Briar uses her powers to confront him. She claims that this is her destiny and how she is here to stay and he cannot stop her.

Chloe. I originally made her into a paranoid, skeptical young lady but I changed it. Her appearance was based off Agnes Bruckner. She was her dark nature was inspired by Silent Hill’s Alessa Gillespie and her powers were inspired by Teen Titans’ Raven. Her trauma of losing the people she worked for and ever known were loosely based off the Newton Elementary School Shooting. If you thought the Aurora Massacre was bad, this one was horrible too. Chloe’s past of being part of a cult and escaping came from Rose McGowan, who came from a cult in Italy and escaped with her family to America. Randi’s appearance was based off an Australian model name Miranda Kerr. Miranda was a young and beautiful model, I thought she’d be perfect for being Randi. It was awesome! Randi’s trauma was loosely based off another tragedy, The Mall Shooting in Africa. It was horrible seeing so much cruelty and horror. All those people…It was so sad, it really was. I am not trying be insulted but I thought those three tragedies inspired me to dedicate to those that are in shock of all that is happened to them and to give them hope. That’s what this is about in this crossover, tribute and inspiration.

The inspirations of Katrina came from the sequel film of Carrie. The Rage: Carrie 2. But under circumstances, it’s a switch! Kat is popular and mean but she becomes the atoner later and tortured for the actions that she caused to those that she bullied. Now she is trying to start over and bring her apologies to those that she hurt. Kind of like Sue Snell almost. Katrina was originally going to be the main antagonist turned good in the crossover project. But I decided to change it. Katrina goes through trials and tragedies as she tries to find light at the end of the dark tunnel. Another inspiration for her was Pilgrim’s Progress, where a man goes on a journey to relief his burden, save his family, and search for Heaven. I thought it was good. Katrina had to relieve her burden, save herself from damnation, and to find her true peace once more. There was some bumps on the road. A song was a third and final inspiration for Kat and it was Katy Perry’s song, “Wide Awake”.

Maggie Wolf

Name: Margaret Wolf

Nicknames: Maggie, Mags, Red, Red Hot Riding Hood, Big Bad She Wolf, and Lady Lumberjack

Species: Human, Valkyrie hybrid

Fairytale reference: Red Riding Hood

Personality: Known as Red Hot Riding Hood, Big Bad She Wolf, and Lady Lumberjack; she wields the powers of blood, or haemokinetic constructs. Maggie makes herself bleed enough to face her enemies in combat battle. Maggie is a violent, blood thirsty, sadistic, seductive, and high self-esteem but she remains a gold heart to her friends and allies. Underneath all that blood lust is a vulnerable girl with a troubled past and how she has a hatred towards ‘pig men’ because of the way she was tortured and left for dead. Maggie has a tendency to wear red, because she is the ‘Red Riding Hood’ surrounding herself with ‘wolves’ and how she is also the lumberjack and how she has to eliminate wolves.

Maggie’s past: Maggie started off as a runaway teen who worked as an exotic dancer so she can start a normal life and find love. But it all came crumbling down when she was attacked while entertaining at the club for some drunk guys one night. She was attacked while walking home by the same men! Crippled of her usually self; Maggie begs to be killed however she is discovered by an Amazon brigade type team and was trained to be an assassin and went back to kill the men that had destroyed her! Maggie quit from her life as a dancer and decides to find something different for a change. Such as walking down a thick of woods, meet wolves, and to taste this delicious liquid called blood.

Bella Venezia ‘B.V.’ Jonquil: Maggie’s best friend, Bella Venezia (Or B.V. for short). She was tortured by males like her and has freaky powers. She is a tranquil, mysterious, and alluring young lady. She is referred to the fairytale, “Beauty and the Beast”. Although she’s beautiful, she is also beastly with her powers she was bestowed upon. B.V. has dark purple hair piled on her head in a messy ponytail. Her powers were an inspiration cited of a character from Soul Calibur, Voldo. Her attacks bend and twist her body in unnatural ways, making her a tremendously unstable combater. That is what makes B.V. ‘beastly’ as she has quick reflexes and enhanced agility, better than anyone else. Maggie sees her as more than a friend but a bodyguard that she cannot do without sometimes. The two girls are like sisters and despite Maggie’s lust for blood; B.V. is shown to be unafraid but concerns for her friend’s sanity.

Her relationship with her crew: Everything was going well when she met these guys and things changed for the better. You could say that these guys are her ‘wolves’ or ‘hunters’ while she is the one with the red hood. She acts like a big sister figure to Yamazaki, Connie and Sasha, Maggie is amused by their mischief but she actually is impressed by Sasha’s badass archery combat and pities Connie for the loss of his mother. Towards Okita and Hijikita; she has a bit of an annoyance towards them, mainly it is because of Okita’s hatred and wanting to humiliate him. Maggie is trying to be the only sane person and try to get them to work together, despite their fierce loyalty to Isao Kondo and differences. She gets along with Sting, Rogue, Ikkaku, Yumichika and Yachiru. Maggie also gets along with Kondo, Zaraki, Frosch, Lester, as well as the others of Shinsengumi. She finds Zaraki scary, Kondo is eccentric at times, Yumichika can be a ‘blow hard’ egoist, Ikkaku is hilarious when he is played for laughs in Connie and Sasha’s jokes about his bald head. Maggie is taken aback by Matsudaira Katakuriko, who is a violent nutcase and his behavior. Maggie gets along with HOMRA after a rough start. But please, keep Maggie away from these guys because if she is ever around them then….SHIT is about to get real! Yeah, really…REALLY REAL! You have no idea……:-/ An influence that is deadly….

Sexy and scary: Wearing skimpy outfits and killing enemies are sure a nice contrast for Maggie. Her iconic outfit is a red bra-like red top, matching short skort (skirt shorts), and heels. But she usually wears other modest clothes such as a red short sleeved shirt with crimson leather pants. She wears clothes that resemble red such as fuschia, red orange, or orang red. Her sanity slippage comes from the berserk button of how a girl would get hurt by a man or a girl denies of being hurt and really is being abused. It is a tempter trigger for Maggie has been there and she suffered to where she is today. Maggie has PTSD so she doesn’t want to flirt for she will give the guys the wrong idea and it won’t be good for her. Maggie has a new theory: She doesn’t hate ALL men, she finds some that are not so much like jerks and sick demented pigs like the ones in her life. Look out boys, she’s in disguise and is coming out of her closet.

Mentor and friends—Amazon Brigade: Maggie’s mentor was the street smart and voluptuous Valora. Her friends are Candice--a friendly, rebellious, and feisty young lady. Dahlia--sweet, upbeat, and innocently ditzy girl but behind the face of cuteness is a psychotic, depressed, and angry girl. Tigris--a tough as nails and sassy chica. And finally, Pomona--a cold hearted and harsh Russian woman. What Valora and the other girls have in common of their Amazon Brigade group is that they hate men! However discovering Maggie and B.V. have made friends with different kinds of guys; they eventually defrost for these men are more likely to be not so much as pigs but eccentric for their tastes. These girls have powers of their own: Dahlia has the power of fire, Tigris can control of any reptiles such as lizards and snakes. Pompona has enhanced strength and has projection lasers as combat or shields. She also has the ability of earth. And Candice can control air, the way where she wants the wind to blow from.

Her new powers: Maggie develops a red mark on her back and shoulder, which comes to life somehow by her opponents' blood splatter all over her body. The blood sinks into her skin, she feels an arousal feeling and let out a sensual gasp. Embarrassed; she covered her mouth with her hand! The mark on her back and shoulder comes to life and becomes an exoskeleton to protect herself of any of enemy's attacks!

Inspirations: The creations and inspirations for Maggie came from the fairytale Red Riding Hood. Natalia Kill’s song “Wonderland” had a line that says, ‘I’m not Red Riding Hood but I think the wolves have got me.’ I thought that would be a good metaphor, where Maggie is Red Riding Hood and the ‘wolves’ made her into who she is today. The second inspiration I used was the 2011 indie film, Cherry Bomb, which involved an exotic dancer who takes revenge on the men that had attacked her. That was one that I cited for Mags. The third is rape and revenge however I wanted to get ‘crap passed the radar’ by not using rape and doing something different. Maggie hates guys but she meets men who are not jerks and develops an inspiration to be The Wolf. And on a light hearted note; Maggie’s tendency to kill came from the 2009 film starring Megan Fox: Jennifer’s Body. Yeah, I know. It was sooo gross but it was perfect for Maggie to be sexy and deadly…Without the body parts half eaten, right? Further in the crossover; I wanted to make Maggie have her own perspective. Her true origin is that she is half human, half Manifestation and her mother was an experimented type one. Maggie was raised by a family who eventually neglected her. Maggie’s powers developed into symbiotic constructs of blood, this inspiration came from the Spider Man villain name Carnage.

Maggie gets blood splatter from the enemies she takes down and the blood absorbs into her skin, making her more invincible. That idea came to me from Mortal Kombat, from the blood thirsty Skarlet. But what happens if Maggie absorbed so much blood? Ding-ding, it hit me! And I got this from one of my favorite comic books of the heroine name Arana (Anya Corazon). She had a tattoo on her shoulder but it turned out to be a symbiotic exoskeleton. So, that’s everything came to place: Maggie Wolf’s powers become more advanced, with much blood she absorbed; she uses this blood to power up a Manifestation exoskeleton shield against her enemies. Wow! This is so cool. Things are getting more interesting. Maggie is becoming more of a cute, troubled girl. Yup. Some guys wonder if she is mentally sane or not, sometimes they’re afraid to find out what’s going on in that INSANE head of hers. Quite scary huh, this is played for laughs though. Right? Ain’t I right?

Tilda Oxford

Name: Matilda ‘Tilda’ Oxford

Hair: Brown hair with silvery blonde highlights, it becomes whitish blue when it comes to ice and water

Powers: Water Manipulation, Ice Manipulation

Nicknames: Tillie, Ice Princess, Maiden from the Deep,

Species: Human, Valkyrie hybrid

Fairytale reference: The Snow Queen

About her: Tilda Oxford wants to be a singer, she wrote music and jammed out on her guitar. Her family were very supportive of her but one night; her parents were killed and her sister was missing! A few years later; Tilda meets a 15 year old girl who claims to be her niece as Tilda is tearfully overjoyed to discover her sister’s alive. Tilda is a sarcastic, sassy, strong hearted, and determined girl. Besides her frosty shell of her cold demeanor (No puns here), she has a defrost side of kindness and compassion. She even is understanding and empathetic once she gets to know the person. Tilda was determined to avenge her family by finding her parents’ killer, she may not have seen his face but remembered hearing his horrible laugh: A falsetto laugh which sounded so high pitched and creepy to her. Tilda hates being called ‘Tillie’ because her mother used to call her that and only she is allow to call her that. Tilda learns that she can control the depths of water and the frozen zero of ice. She has retraceable claws sink into her hands.

Singing dreams: Tilda finally got her big break and begin to record in a music studio. Her vocals are soprano with a hint of trance like to it. She recorded a version of “Reload” by John Martin. She even performed Krewella’s “Live for the Night” and later, performed a ballad cover of Halestorm’s “Break In” and Nickelback’s “How You Remind Me”. Tilda begin to write her own music, she writes one called “Means So Much to Me”. She claims she even did other covers such as Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse”, Muse’s “Supermassive Black Hole”, Avril Lavigne’s “Complicated” & “Sk8er Boi”, and Evanescence’s “What You Want”. Tilda is not big on lip syncing, except when she is having fun a little. But on stage? No, absolutely not. Tilda Oxford, you will remember her name!

Her relationship with her recruits: Tilda gets along well with Captain Hitsugaya, Jura, but she was pretty skeptical and imtimidated by Gray and Lyon however she manages to be defrosting once she is shown the ropes of ice wielding. Tilda is shown some annoyance towards Toby because of his yelling and always chastised him to use his ‘bedroom voice’ because she feels that his shouting. She feels flabberghasted of Juvia’s whimsical behavior and her daydreams of her crush, Gray. Tilda felt perplexed by Levi’s cold demeanor and felt he had no feelings but once Levi offers to help her take down the man who killed her parents; Tilda was touched as she was so overjoyed by his kindness that she embraced him. Somehow Tilda reminds Levi of his deceased lieutenant, Petra, because of her determination and her sassy attitude. Tilda holds great respect for Sherry and Yuka. She also is a big sister type to Chelia because of her klutziness.

Tilda’s family: The niece of Tilda Oxford; she was the weapon of Nevermore. Shadoe is now atoning her sins but she was forced to kill people and she was shocked afterwards. She is diagnosed with a spectrum disorder but the people at Nevermore treat her like she was an animal to abuse. Her cousin, Effie, is a dark version of Shadoe and wants world destruction and her mother, Cecelia, to have it too. Shadoe and Effie has advanced abilities of agility, speed, strength, and tracking. Cecelia has the power to teleport from one place to another. Almost like the Wink, a super-villain from Marvel. Cecelia has telekinesis, telepathy, and illusion inducement.

Inspirations: Originally I was going to make Tilda into a Cheshire Cat like girl with a hint of Catwoman. But I changed it around a little bit. I thought it was awesome chemistry to see Tilda use her powers alongside these kinds: Gray, Lyon, and Captain Hitsugaya are ice wielders while Juvia is a water wielder. The fairytale, The Snow Queen, got me inspired for Tilda. Many music artists that inspired me for Tilda are: Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry, Amy Lee of Evanescence, and also Sky Ferreira and Marina Diamondis of Marina and the Diamonds. I wanted to create Tilda into not just an Ice Princess and Water Maiden, I want her to have a voice and to sing.  Another inspiration that I cited on was the Disney film, Frozen. Tilda has complete control of her powers, unlike Elsa, but she is also much like Anna for her humor and cuteness but also has clarity, beauty like Elsa too. I also cited many things for Tilda’s water powers: Katara from The Last Airbender and H2O: Just Add Water, a series about three girls who become mermaids and how they have to control the different types of water: Freeze, Mold, and Boil. Shadoe, Effie, and Cecelia ‘Celia’ were inspired from other media: Hanna—an action thriller about a young girl who has the mind of a soldier and she is being pursued by a woman who is trying to kill her. Mama--a creepy film about two sisters who were adopted after being discovered one day but their mother’s haunt comes and things get more intense and scary.  F.E.A.R., where Shadoe is kind of like Point Man; Effie is like Paxton Fettel, and Cecelia ‘Celia’ was like Alma; but there was a little differences. Unlike Paxton and Alma; Effie and Celia eventually atoned their sins but they must prove that they are redeemed by helping people. And while they do that; their eyes are opened after being shut because they can see that some people are not so cruel after all.

Sylver Eden

Name: Sylver Eden

Nicknames: Jubs, Freshy, Bubbles, Strange Girl, Alice, Daydream Believer, Missy Mitty, Dona Quioxte, Sylva, Trouble,

Fairytale reference: Alice in Wonderland

Personality: Sylver Eden is an idealistic dreamer; she is hyperactive, bubbly, adorable, geeky, cheerful, and eccentric young lady. Humorously, she is funny and can be a ditz. But when she is around new people; she is shy and nervous.Sylver is diagnosed of Aspergers Syndrome because she sometimes make eye contact, is hypersensitivity to some sounds that bothered her. She finds this a ‘trauma’ for her and withdraws herself into her ‘fantasy land’. In her diagnosis, it says some with Aspergers are apathetic but Sylver has empathy no matter what. She is a highly functioned girl who is polite and intelligent.

The petite you cannot defeat, the girl, who seems younger than she looks: A running gag shows that Sylver is young looking but she is in her early 20’s. This is played for laughs, though, because of the reactions of others. She is amused of these people’s facial expressions and likes hearing their disbelief. It actually is something that she likes because she likes to surprise people.

Breaking the cutie/Beware the Silly, Nice, and Quiet One: Although Sylver is nice, silly, and at times quiet; She is feared for her temporarily insanity and also her upset-deranged behavior when it comes to loudness. She is out of line and says things before she thinks. She then weeps about it for what she has done and doesn’t get over it until she is comforted. Sylver believes that her behavior is more of a ‘nutcase’ and compares herself to the Hamlet character Ophelia. Which is true: Her hair is a mess. She sings to herself in a cute and creepy tone. She becomes violent however she switches between happy and sadness, almost like bipolar. 

Brother and friends: Sylver has a teen younger brother, who is funnier than her and wittier. His name is Bruce Eden, he is a hyperactive and charmiastic but he displays maturity as Sylver does too…Kind of hard to say. Bruce is entertaining and quite satirical at times. But he cares for his family dearly; He has a friend name Wilhelm. Wilhelm is afraid of Sylver for he believes she’s a ‘demon’. But he is the only one who is nicer to her! Wilhelm believes that the crazy women are ‘demons’ which is played for laughs. Sylver finds Bruce hysterical than any comedian: Bruce used to make her laugh when he was younger. Her puppy: Chubbye is a Shih Tzu puppy and the Eden Family’s dog. He is a dopey, adorable, happy, independent dog that is resentful to Sylver but a best friend to Bruce and the Eden siblings’ mother, Laurleen. He sometimes wears a diaper for a little while before taking it off because it’ll give him a rash if he wears it long enough.

Inspirations and ideas: Sylver Eden is based off myself. I am a Genki Girl (It’s Japanese for ‘hyperactive’), I can be a ditz too and an idealist. Going to my La La Land. I also have elements of Alice in Wonderland and some quotes: “Curiouser and curiouser.”, “Mad as a hatter”, and “We’re all mad here.” Sylver’s inspiration comes from Miss Montana, otherwise known as Alexis Wineman, who is a beautiful girl that is diagnosed with Aspergers and that was really cool to hear but to me, she looked normal and I was surprised by how she looked and seemed the model type. But hey, looks can been deceiving so it was shock to hear Miss Montana is an ‘autie’. (Hope I’m not offending her, I admired her greatly.) Sylver is a mad dreamer but al she ever want is friends. She is this mysterious girl which no one sees the real her because of all of her insecurities she has and is afraid that no man would love her for the way she is. Sylver takes interest in the ‘most dark hearts’ kind because she can see their pain and agony as she wants to be that type of friend. So, I’m quite like her and I want to put ‘me’ in here because of my lovely fixation for anime. And I have seen this girl, Briana Moran, she has been seeing anime heroes and she writes pleadingly of a crossover a lot.

Bruce Eden is based off my younger brother, Jimmy. And Wilhelm is based off his friend, Bobby. Bobby used to be scared of me, which is played for laughs, however he isn’t any more too much as he now doesn’t mind me acting so-called ‘creepy’. Jimmy was so funny with random things he said and how he acts hilariously crazy at times. I would try so hard to not pee my pants but Jimmy is just too silly! He also does go crazy on Harry and pull pranks on him like scaring him hysterically to me. Chubbye is based on my dog. He is just so ‘dorky’ and cute. He always barks at newcomers and can get excited whenever my mother or my little brother comes home. And he is more of an indoor pup as he never goes to the bathroom outside and usually pees on everything. But he’s SO cute! A flaw about my dog is that he’s got a chronic condition that relates to his allergies. Poor thing needs to take his meds like every day. And what’s really sad is that he always growls at me sometimes whenever I try to put the diaper on so he doesn’t pee on any of the kitchen. Or try to put his leash on.
