Chapter
4: Push the Wicked Away
Previously…
The townspeople were awry! They fear for Stephanie as they pray to save them
from her madness. Just then, Gloria appeared as she said: "Fellow citizens
of Tilbury Town! As terrifying as this may be, let us put this aside and
celebrate. For this one day, of course! What a celebration we'll have today,
let us have a celebration and finally away from the wicked because we couldn't
be happier. Right here, look at what we got. A fairy tale plot in our
life." She said cheerfully. Although they were celebrating, the
townspeople were gossiping quite a lot. There were talks of Stephanie: Some say
she comes by and lets the citizens she's arrived by letting out a screech as
she comes out from hiding. Others say she has extra eyes that are always kept
awake, her skin could shed so easily like a snake, and her skin is so unclean.
Chris clenched his teeth, he was upset to hear this. “Do you hear this shit?!
Ugh, people are so empty-headed they'll believe anything!” exclaimed Chris, a
few people turn their heads. Gloria glance at the crowd as she then said,
“Excuse me just a moment!” Gloria and Chris talk aside, away from the crowd. “I
can't just stand here beaming like the rest of them, imagining going along with
all of this!” Chris said. Gloria glance back at him, “Do you really think I
like to hear them say those awful things about her? I hate it!” She whispered.
Chris looked around with disgust, “Then what are we doing here? Let's go, let's
get out of here!” He suggested. Chris looked at him with horror, “We can't
leave now, not when people are looking to us to elevate their fortitudes.” She
griped. “You can't leave, because you can't resist this. And that is the
truth.” Chris pointed out. Gloria sighed, “Oh Chris, I miss her too, but we
can't just stop living. No one has searched harder for her than you. But don't
you see? She doesn't want to be found. We have to face it.” She explained. They
return back to the celebration. In the meantime, a young lady arrived with
sunglasses on her face. The person that’s driving her greets her: "Welcome
Miss Nelson." The man said. Melody sniffed the air as she said, "It
smells like...." The guy smiled, "Fresh air?" He guessed. But Melody
shook his head, "Heat and waste in the air, ew! Hate that smell." She
said. She then ducked inside the car. She arrived at her destination. There she
met Jowan Smallberry, who greeted with joy! "Hey Miss Nelson, You have no
idea how excited I am to meet you." Replied Jowan. Melody snarled,
"Do you mind? My name is Melody, Mr. Smallberry." She answered.
"Oh Melody, you gotta call me Jowan." Said the guy. Melody nodded,
she sat down almost at once. "Aww, you look so cute I could just eat you
right then and there." Joked Jowan sweetly. "Um, that's quite a
cannibal comment." Countered Melody awkwardly. "So, how was life for
it?" asked Jowan, smiling. "Fine. A little bit of the old and new so
it wasn't so bad." Melody remarked. Jowan nodded, "Cool." He
uttered. While with Jowan Smallberry; Melody wasn’t used to things that he did.
Like the smell of cleaning bleach she dislike: "Ugh, what is that
stench?" Melody solicited. "Sorry, using bleach here." Said
Jowan. "Oh, I hate that smell...It's burning my nose. Excuse me..."
Melody said, covering her nose in tissues. While trying to sleep; Melody is
annoyed with the noises and confronted Jowan and his friends. "I'm sorry,
you guys are being loud and so is the TV. I'm trying to get some flippin' sleep
already!" Melody snapped. "We're just having fun." Complained
Jowan. Melody sighed, "Just simmer down, I don't want to come down and
yell at you guys. Please?" She snapped. The others were annoyed with her,
"Why can't you have fun?" demanded Jowan. "Why can't you just let
me sleep in peace?" hollered Melody as she slammed the door. And the
breaking point, when Melody has hypersensitivities to some sounds such as
sitcom laugh tracks, audience laughter, and other things that bothers her.
Jowan calls her on it one day when it was nice and quiet. "Why do you
always cover your ears all the time?" demanded Jowan. Melody looked at him
funny, "Cover my ears? I don't know what you're talking about." She
said, lying. "You always cover your ears from that sitcom playing."
Jowan pointed out. "Sitcom? No, not really a sitcom. Not sure if I was
hearing voices." Perjures Melody innocently. "And you try to hum or
talk to yourself quietly." Continued Jowan. Melody fibbed as she seem
confrontational: "Me? That's ridiculous, what the hell was I saying?"
Jowan sighed, "I don't know." He admitted. Melody smirked at him,
"Then how do you know that I was talking to myself? Let's just drop
it!" She exclaimed. Jowan looked at her funny, "You sure you're
OK?" Jowan inquired. That annoyed Melody, "Yeah, I'm fine." She
claimed. Jowan shook his head in annoyance. "You think everything is all
yours and it's all privileged to only you---" Jowan argued. That made
Melody explode with anger, "I AM NOT PRIVILEGED TO HAVE MY OWN
ROOM!!!!" She shouted. "Yeah? You always want things around her to be
quiet, you hate the sound of laughter, what is wrong with you? Aren't you happy
at least?" demanded Jowan. "You wouldn't understand!" Melody
remarked. Jowan decides to find out about Melody and learns about her past life
from Melody’s cousin who is a psychologist and Jowan confronts Melody with the
truth. During the argument they had one day, Jowan cried out to the truth.
"YOU HAVE A HISTORY MELODY!!!!!" yelled Jowan. He then spoke in a
normal tone of voice, "You have a history of humiliating antics. You've
been violent to people as a kid, you insulted your peers in elementary, you
wrote on walls of things that were dark and macabre, you drew on yourself and
cut your own hair. Then, you attempted to walk alone without permission and
other childish shenanigans. You've been having suicidal thoughts, you can't
even deal with noises that bother you. Melody rolled her eyes, "My mother
and father were both born in the same country from opposite sides. My dad was a
bit of a jerk, an asshole. He was no drunkard; he was always a druggie and lost
in wonderland. Always didn't do his glucose medication exactly as instructed.
My mother was gaining weight after having three kids and thinks she's gross but
I don't. My older brother thinks I'm fat and he thinks I’m not good enough. He
thinks I don’t know much about the world but I do. I know it’s a cruel place
but he treats me like a child. Sure I don’t act my age sometimes but it doesn’t
mean I don’t know about life." Ranted Melody. She stopped until Jowan spoke
up again. "It's not your father or the bullies, or the people that had
hurt you. It's Ms. Blair as well the most of her family." Notified Jowan.
Melody glared at him, "You don't know her." She answered. "She
hurt you." Jowan said. Melody sighed as she turned away. "She hurt my
mom with her put downs, blamed all of the men, treated everyone like crap,
fired the best people--even my mother!" Melody said. "You thought she
would understand." Jowan said, it didn’t sound like a question. "That's
what I thought, until she showed her true colors and my mom was always a wreck
by people who abused her that she trusted." Melody explained. Jowan came
closer to put an arm around her, "She didn't fully understand you and she
wanted you to deal with it." He clarified. "Yes, I couldn't! I try to
explain but she still didn't hear me, sympathize me, NOTHING! SHE'S
HEARTLESS!!! HER DAUGHTERS COULDN'T UNDERSTAND ME AND ACCUSE ME!!!"
exclaimed Melody.
Chris,
Gloria, and Jem were working around the cathedral. Chris was training, Gloria
wa polishing the alter, and Jem was doing his ritual watching. Just then,
something interrupted the three of them! "Hallelujah, glory to the Lord in
the highest, and peace to the good, the broken and battle scarred folks."
A voice said, it made Gloria scared & confused until Stephanie steps
out of the closet. "I'm sorry. Did I scare you? I seem to have that
effect on people. It's good to see you." Stephanie said. Gloria
gasped, "What are you doing here?" She asked. Stephanie
shrugs, "Well, there's no place like home." She claimed. Jem was
shocked to see her, “Home? This isn’t your home anymore Stephanie! You have
harmed everyone that trusted and loved you!” He reprimanded. Stephanie sighed,
“I realize that, and I regret it. Jem...” She said. Jem confronts her, “Don't
try to interfere, or call your allies...” He started to say but Stephanie
insisted, “I'm not calling anyone. The truth is I'm glad to see you all again.
Please, help me start again.” She begged. Jem was annoyed by this as he was
frustrated but held back his temper, “Stephanie, I can't harbor a fugitive, I'm
a guard. Why the hell should I help you?” Stephanie seized Jem by his collar
and gritted her teeth, “Listen to me!!! You have to understand that Pastor
Malone is a bastard and Tunek is a pervert and a sadist! You are working for
the wrong guys in this world!” She said. Stephanie threw Jem backwards and
Gloria screamed while Chris was shocked. Jem glance back at Stephanie. “Gloria,
what’s going on darling?” Tunek asked, entering the room but then he gasped in
horror: “. “Tunek!” gasped Stephanie. Shocked; Tunek quarrel out against her,
“W—w—w--what are you doing here? Y—y—y--you stay back!” He yelled. Stephanie
glared at him, “Hear me out, I never want to hurt her.” She said. “N—n—n--no!
You're lying! That's all you ever do!” He seized Gloria and had a knife poised
at her throat. “Don’t you dare…!” Stephanie threatened. She used her powers
against Tunek who threw backwards but his hand ripped the necklace off Gloria’s
neck who was shocked by her pendant being ripped off. The guards seized
Stephanie as they were about to take her away when Chris steps in and demanded,
“Let the girl go!” Stephanie gasped, “Chris, how in the world?” She asked. “I
said let her go! Or explain to all everyone how you managed to sneak your way
in here.” Threatened Chris. The guards were hesitant until Chris said again,
“Don’t make me repeat myself, let her go.” The guards release her as Stephanie
was thrown into the arms of Chris. “Keep your mouth shut, Steffie.” Chris whispered.
“Chris...” gasped Stephanie but Chris glared at her, “I said shut up!” He
instructed. Stephanie did and got her to safety. Stephanie looked at him with
surprise, “Chris, you frightened me. I thought, I thought you might have
changed.” She remarked. “Believe me, Steffie. I have changed.” Replied Chris.
Glinda enters the room. “What's going on?” She asked. She saw Stephanie and
grinned, “Steffie? Oh, thank god you're alive!” She said with a gasp. “Gloria,
you'd better go.” Chris said. Gloria was confused. “Chris, what are you...?”
She started to ask but Chris called out: “Please, just go back and stall
Tunek.” Gloria nods as she went away while Stephanie and Chris got away.
"Gloria, d—d—d--darling! You came back." Tunek exclaimed. "I
had to." Gloria shrugged. "F--f--f--for this?" Tunek asked,
he holds Gloria's necklace. She smiles, "Yes." Gloria replied.
Tunek gesture with his hand, "Shall we, then?" He suggested.
Gloria sighed and followed Tunek. She was in the tower once again as he scolds
at her, "That's t--t--t--two hundred times this month you've drugged
into my tea and run off." Tunek snapped. "Three hundred times,
actually." corrected Gloria with a grin. Tunek then forbid Gloria
from leaving but Gloria would soon get back at him eventually as she thought of
Chris and Stephanie, wondering if they’ll be all right. In the meantime;
Stephanie and Chris were in an embrace in the woods at night which glowed
beautifully in the moonlight. “This moment is forever, even when our lives
end. Right now I am happy. My heart is filled with love so let's go
together. Let's flee to the ocean of love!” suggested Stephanie, “You look
at me now with eyes that seem to be burning. The two of us alone at last.
I'll keep holding you, only you in the light of the morning and under the moon
at night forever and ever.” She paused. She cringed as she wondered what she
said must’ve sound too much! “…I mean I'm trying not to seem strange.” Chris
thought for a moment before he responded, “Maybe it is strange, but I'm OK with
it.” He admitted. He then took her face in his hands and continued to say,
“Even since these doors have open for me, I took my time to explore the
horizons. And then I meet these new people I have no idea who they were. With
each other, we seem like the perfect couple. Don't we?” He ended with a sneaky
smile. “I'm having a hard believing that your here with her but I know that I'm
not dreaming so if I am can I wake up now, I could.” Said Stephanie, “I hated
wishing; because they say wishing only wounds the heart. I never thought you
would ever want me. Or love me because of how happy and perfect you &
Gloria seemed together.” The two looked like they were going to kiss but
Stephanie pulled away, nervously. “What is it?” asked Chris. Stephanie shook
her head, “Nothing. It’s just, for the first time, I feel...Happy.” She
admitted and she stretched her toes up as she lip-locks against Chris’s mouth.
Indeed, she was happy! With the boy she loves. Back with Gloria, she was
serving Tunek with his meal: “Oh Tunek! Lunchtime!” She announced. “Ah, what's
this?” He asked. Tunek sniffs the food, “Fried tofu! Mmm...” He exclaimed.
Tunek prepares to take a bite but
then sniffs suspiciously, “...And cucumbers?” He asked. Gloria looked
innocently as she replied back, “What's wrong? I thought you liked
cucumbers. “Nothing's more suspicious than cucumbers! Until you eat it, I
won't taste a portion!” Tunek said. “I'm not hungry.” Gloria claims, she shrugs
and in doing so pretends to accidentally knock over the spoon he holds up. She
pretends to be surprise, “Oops!” She said. Then, Gloria shoves the spoon
aside on the floor and, still bent over, removes a slotted spoon from her
sleeve she hidden while Tunek complains: “Y—y--you want me to starve! A man
l—l---l--like me whom you owe your v—v—v--very life to, i—i—i—insolent girl!”
Gloria just laughs a little, “Oh, don't be silly!” She said. She dips the
sifting spoon in the soup and pretends to taste it, “Mmmm! See? Delicious.” She
claimed. Tunek was fooled by her trick and devored the food until he passed
out. Gloria escaped as she and Chris—who had left Stephanie as he promised to
see her again—as they went to meet with Jem, who told them about how to help
Stephanie take down the pastor and Tunek while also planning to find Sirk. “What
about that girl in red? You know Walker?” Gloria asked. Jaro whirled around
with shock, “Oh no, not her! You don't want her help.” Jaro exclaimed. “We
might.” Chris insisted. “No, you don't. She does not work well with others.”
Jaro avers. Chris and Gloria glance at one another with confusion, “What do you
mean?” Gloria asked. Jaro sighed, “I didn't want to bring it up, but rather
than have you stumble on to it and make another mistake, I'll tell you. She’s
part of Truant Wave; she’s the most dangerous girl.” Chris and Gloria were
shocked to hear this. Chris and Gloria were sent out to search of Stephanie but
then saw someone in an unknown being. Gloria followed the figure and looked
around as she wanders alone while Chris followed her. “Hello? Where are you?”
Gloria called out. Just then, a voice called out: “Gone, babe. Gone, Gone, like
the wind.” It was a silhouetted figure, her back turned in a chair. Gloria
looks at her, “Of course they're gone. They must’ve went out.” She said. The
figure said, “Yeah, I know.” Gloria’s face looked at the person, “Are you
someone new?” She asked. The red head said, “I'm a genie in a bottle that needs
to be rub the right way, babe.” She crossed her legs. She sat up and she gasped
at the sight, Gloria saw that the girl was Scarlet. Chris came in and was
shocked to see the sight of Scarlet. Scarlet took any interest in Gloria and
walked around her. “Wh--why are you revolving around me?” Gloria asked softly.
Scarlet apologize with a dazed look, “I'm sorry Gloriana.” She replied. “It's
Gloria.” Corrected Gloria timidly. Scarlet nodded, “Gloria.” She answered.
Chris snapped at Scarlet with a harsh enunciating, “Gloria, missy.” Scarlet
ignored him, “It's just that – she looks an awful lot like... never mind.” She
said. That’s when Scarlet want to help Chris and Gloria but they soon regretted
since Scarlet was insane, desirable, and violent young woman! Scarlet, Chris,
and Gloria encountered with Sirk. Scarlet faced Sirk as she unleashed her
violent rage against him and left him in the dirt but Chris and Gloria were
called in by the guards while Scarlet made her getaway. Chris and Gloria were
confronted by a stressed Jem, he was not very happy to heard what had been
going on. "You two have really screwed up! I received word that you went
to Scarlet Walker, you were conspiring with Stephanie Redford!" scolded
Jem. Chris was about to say something but Jem held up an index finger.
"No! I'm not done!" scolded Jem. He continued saying, "And you
let Jaro Leroy get hold of the book!" Chris and Gloria looked shocked,
"What? When did that happened?" Chris demanded. Jem rolls his
eyes, “Never trust Truant Wave or the Black Parade! We cannot have a mistake
like yours provide proof that there are outsiders like you out in the world!" That’s
when Jem told the story of Scarlet’s life to Chris and Gloria after his
encounter with Jaro Leroy, the leader of Truant Wave, who told him the past
life of Scarlet.
Nowadays…
Katherine listened to the case of Sirk Montgomery: Chris and Gloria encountered
a man by the name of Sirk Montgomery. He leads Chris and Gloria away until his
true intentions are revealed. His face was the stuff of nightmares. When he
went insane; he had many different expressions that were gnarled to convey his
emotions. One facial expression had his mouth all jagged and his eyes became
scary of his sclera was red as well as his pupils were shrunken looking.
Another is where his face changes into a demonically insane grin and pupil-less
eyes. If he mocked them both; he would have his look become a mock impression
of an adorable mask with his lips puckered into a cheesy grin as his eyes were
wide and sparkly. And in his insanity; his face twisted into something eerie!
His mouth was wide open with saliva dripping out and his tongue was out too.
His sclera was white and his eyes were tiny yet grey. And his laugh was so
hideous to hear: It sounded high-pitched, distorted cackle. Copycatting from a
page book of Stan’s killings; Sirk burns the sisters alive, he took down his
witness by bludgeoned him over the head and cut his tongue out. He murders a
boy with a power drill; Sirk slashes throats with razor knives and chainsaws a
homeless man through the skull. Sirk tricks a spoiled rich girl into meeting
her out in the woods by an abandoned shack and he stabs her in the back. Sirk
hits her with a log, shoves her into an outhouse, and pushes her inside the
hole, which is full of feces, urine and leeches, drowning her. He garrotes
another person to death and stabs this whiney spoiled brat. He pours battery
acid on his victim’s face, hideously mutilating and killing him. Sirk then cuts
a boy's head off with a machete. Meanwhile; Jem and his squad of guards found
the first victim cuffed to the bed with a rag in her mouth and a bullet in her
cranium. The second victim had been bound with electrical tape gag on her
mouth. She'd been stabbed repeatedly and stuffed into a large bag. Last week, a
father's little boy didn't come home but he was found in a river. His head
bashed in as well as drowned and his pockets full of pebbles. A man found his
dog nailed to his door, the head of a handyman was found in the fountain of a
habitation, and lastly, in a cruel twist of fate, an old woman was stabbed.
Katherine begins to research on Sirk’s past! Sirk was born with an oversized
head hanging over the back of it. He was a talented dancer as his dancing
involves him performing balancing tricks with chair, and deflecting light beams
with his hands as he dances. His father is yelling at him indistinctly, a slap
to Sirk's face, and the man slams the door. Sirk was given multiple facial
surgeries and he got a miraculous surgery that made him normal looking but if
he was angered or went insane, his facial expressions changed into something
more terrifying. While she managed to recall the memories of stumbling upon
with Parthalan; Katherine begin to recall the nightmare Parthalan did:
Parthalan decided to settle the score with Katherine Donovan and her allies but
he uses his cicada bugs for nightmares while Katherine and the others have
nightmares as he will see their visions. As he was doing so; he uses his bugs
towards Ruby, Marion and Crystal combined in Katherine and the other guys’ bad
dreams. Katherine and the others have nightmares of asylums and cold blooded
torture: There was a whip with sharp needle-like pins attached to them,
electric shocks, as Katherine, Bryce, Lalo, Jack, Harry, Ruby, Marion, Crystal,
and Lara were in pain as their moans were muffled, their whimpers and grunts
were stifled as well as their sobbing. Katherine and the others suffered so
much that it was unbearable as if it was painful. Katherine shudders and she
wonders why does it seem so familiar to her. That’s when she recalled the
memory of when she was seven years ago….Roland, Tancred, Gene, Oliver, and
Roger take down the zombies with Camilla alongside them. In the meantime, Once
the gang took care of the zombies; they went inside but when they got in, they
were surprised to find that it looked like a normal room, than a dark and damp
cave. "This is the Sleeping Princess’s chamber? Is the treasure
inside?" asked Camilla. Oliver nodded, "Yes, we’re getting closer. I
can feel it." He was right, they were getting closer. Gene looked around
to see flowers, there was archer of flowers. "Look at these flowers, they
represent something of a funeral." He remarked. "It almost looks like
a memorial site." noted Camilla. The others walked through the archer;
they were surprised to find that the so-called treasure was a white coffin.
Gold on the side, painted flowers on the front. "This is the strangest
treasure chest I have ever seen." noted Gene. "Do you think a dead
body is in there?" asked Tancred. Camilla grimaced, "Oh gross…"
She said. Oliver looks around, "Where’s the key?" She asked. Roger
looked around as well, he saw something shimmer in the flowers, and she reaches
in and pulls out the silver object. "Got it, it’s here." He took the
key, she place it in the lock of the casket and turns it before the lid snaps
open. Something glowed inside. When they look inside; they gasped in amazement,
in this casket was a young girl. Dark ashen blonde haired, fair skin, petite
hands, small feet, and she wore a lavender dress with whitish purple shoes. But
she had an amazing beauty to her. "She’s beautiful." breathed
Tancred. "I never seen anyone as young as her." said Gene. "She
looks like an angel." said Camilla. Roland grazed her cheek, his hand went
behind her head and he felt something in her head. "What is this? A
hairpin?" He leaned over to the girl but heard her breathing. Roland
pulled away, he put two fingers on the unconscious girl’s throat. He gasped
with fear. "Guys…She’s alive!" He said. The others are in dazed.
"What?" asked Camilla, her eyes widened. "How long she’s been in
here?" inquired Roger. "I’m not sure but I’m going to try and pull it
out." said Gene, he carefully pulled the pin from her head. Suddenly, to
both of their surprise, the girl’s head wound closed up--making a squishy
sound. The girl woke up. She sat up, clutching her head. "Are you OK?"
asked Gene. The girl jumped. She backs away fearfully. "Sorry, we didn’t
mean to scare you." Tancred assured her. "Who are you people?"
The girl asked. "We’re good people." Camilla replied. "What’s
your name, sweetheart?" asked Oliver. The girl replied shyly,
"Katherine....Katherine Donovan." "What about your parents? How
old are you?" asked Camilla. "I don’t know! I don’t remember
anything!" cried Katherine. She looks away from the surprised faces,
"I’m sorry." She whispered. Roland gingerly carried her, "C’mon.
Let’s get you out of here." He said. The boys, Camilla, and the mysterious
Katherine walked out of the cave. But the zombies appeared to ambush them,
Katherine gasped, clutching onto Roland tightly and hid her face. They managed
to get her back safe and sound so she can rest. And she did in a different
building. Katherine then realized if Parthalan and Roland are related in some
way.
Meanwhile;
Emily felt better with being in the presence of Prince Joel. Despite his cold
kingdom and his persona; Joel was a good person on the inside! He has some
people he knows to help Emily and the Black Parade. Emily managed to find
therapy and managed to take it day by day. In the meantime; a young man, about
18 years of age, name Colt. He was asleep but then he woke up to a knock and a
voice from behind the door, “Colt, Colt? You awake, Colt?” “Huh? Who’s there?”
Colt asked, groggily. He is getting up as he stretched his arms. “It’s Villemo,
sorry to disturb you.” said the voice outside his room. “No, no. It’s fine. I’m
OK.” said Colt, sleepily. He got up from his bed, grazing his hair as he heard
Villemo said outside, “I’m glad you’re awake because today is Kaius’s 18th
Celebration.” Colt’s eyes opened more full to this, wondering.
“Kaius’s.....Celebration....” His eyes widened, “That’s right.” whispered
Valentine, remembering now. Colt hasn’t seen Kaius in a while. His best friend
Kaius is. “Hi Colt.” A soft spoken voice said. Colt turned to see who it was.
Kaius looked different! His hair looks neat, he was wearing glasses but he
smiled nicely. Colt squinted at him, “Kaius? Is that you? You look nice.”
admitted Colt. Kaius grinned, “Thanks, look at you. You’ve changed.” He
complimented. “Yeah, I look kind of stuffy in this outfit.” remarked Colt. “No,
it looks good on you.” Kaius praised. Colt walk pass a mirror and looked stunt
to see himself. Kaius was right, it did looked good. He couldn’t help but
smiled. “Yes, I guess it is. You look calm.” He said. “I am.” Kaius confessed.
He looked away to look around the party, Colt did too as he cleared his throat
to say something. “You can see through those glasses?” He asked. “Yes. Colt,
it’s OK. I’m not completely blind. And it wasn’t your fault.” reminded Kaius.
Colt shuddered, and then he composed himself. “It was, I hit your eyes.” said
Colt softly. Kaius placed his hand on his shoulder in a comfort manner. “No, it
really was I was the wild one.” He whispered. Colt looked over at him in shock.
This was not the feisty, free spirited kid Colt used to know. Now, Kaius is
more reserved and cool-headed young boy. Colt smiled, feeling better. He was
about to say something else when there is new music in the air. Someone is
strutting down the steps, the crowd looks as they looked startled. Colt and
Kaius are disconcerted by this vision of the figure. It was a young lady with
her hair wavy tresses and her eyes looked alluring. She wore a high waist
skirt, like a mermaid. A bandeau top that showed her midriff with tattoo-like
marks from her arms and back. She had jewel beads cascading on the side of her
face, almost snake like. She wore crisscrossed high heeled sandals. Beautiful,
mysterious, and elegant she was. “Who is that?” Kaius murmured to his friend.
Colt shrugs feebly, completely dazed. The young lady sauntered over as she
motioned the snakes to fall back, which they comply. The young lady smiled,
“Look at this, a nice party here and I wasn’t invited.” She said. Colt
stepped forward, “What is this? Are these guys yours?” He demanded. The woman
turned to look and then back, “Yes, they are. Guess we got off of the wrong
foot didn’t we?” She remarked. Then, Emily ambled towards Kaius looked at
him, touching his arm. “Are you OK?” Emily said with a soft, timid voice. Kaius
is surprised that she wasn’t so dangerous. That tone of hers sounded harmless.
It sounded so sweet! Kaius blushed at her face, which she looked human. “Thank
you.” He said in a reserved voice. There was a girl with blue hair and matching
eyes which were innocent. She had on a Sweet Lolita dress contrast with the
assistant smock underneath. Her name is Megan. With her are a bunch of other
misfits. There was a guy with spiky white hair and his eyebrows converge,
forming one long brow. His name is Villemo and his friend, a guy with blonde
ahoge hair is Teague. There was a girl with red-pink hair who wore Hime Lolita,
this was Megan's oldest sister Artha. And lastly, there was a tall man who had
short fiery sideburns, his name is Gerald. After hearing Colt and Kaius
bickering with one another; Emily stifled her laughter. “So, like, you two are
brothers?” She asked. Colt looked baffled, Kaius smiled as if that were a
compliment. “No.” said Colt. “Yes.” said Kaius. Colt started to say, “Well,
we’re not related but…” Kaius finished for him, “…We were raised by the same
guardian. So, that counts. Not really blood related.” Emily’s eyes brightened,
they looked human-like. “Oh. Awesome.” She said. “Guess you really have some
good people. I’ll bet you’re the strongest.” Emily continued. “Heh. I could
beat Colt if I wanted to.” bragged Kaius, competitively. “Oh yeah? I’m much
more powerful than you.” Colt boasted. Kaius smirked at him, excited, “Wanna
bet?” He challenged. “I dare you.” defied Colt. Kaius leered, Emily smiles at
this. “Then it’s settled. Let’s do this! I’ll race both of you!” She announced.
Colt looked at her surprised, but Kaius wasn’t too impressed: "What are
you kidding? No way." He said. “Ready, set, GO!” cheered Emily. Colt and
Kaius glance at each other with haughty sneers before running, Emily was much
quicker, while the others followed them behind them. Kaius sneered at Colt, who
was looking straight ahead with an excited grin. Emily ran, giggling with glee.
Finally, Emily reached to a clearing and jumped up and down. “Woo hoo! I win!”
She cheered. Colt and Kaius panted as they stopped. “Hey, good game.” praised
Emily. Colt and Kaius looked at her, and then they nodded. “Yeah.” They both
said before eyeing at each other with arrogant stares. Emily looked around to
see the colors in the air as she danced around, feeling magic in the air of how
beautiful this place. However, she was daydreaming so much that she didn't
watch where she was going. Because she bumped into someone else:
"Aaah!" The person said. "Yipe!" Emily yelped. Emily and
the other person stumbled down as Emily cries, "Good Lor--Whoa!"
Down, down they went but Emily manage to save her and the person she is
tumbling with. "Hey, pal! What the hell?" Emily demanded. "Sorry
about that." The person said. It was a boy who was younger but he was very
mature for his age, Emily felt like a jerk to this totally attractive guy with
glasses, which he was adjusting. "Hello...It's OK. I'm fine, it's no big
deal." Emily apologized. "You serious?" asked the guy.
"Yeah, my bad. And I'm dead serious." confirmed Emily.
"Fascinating." The guy complimented. Emily smiled, then the guy
realized he forgot to introduced himself. "Oh, sorry. Tybalt is my name,
miss." He introduced. Emily shake his hand, "Emily Fritz." She
said. Managed to catch up with her friends; Emily runs her fingers through her
hair as she is revealed to Elsa, Lachlan, and Tybalt who watch with wide eyes
at this. Emily looked at their gaping faces and grinned before she sped away
with a trail of ice behind her. Lachlan was shocked but smiled, "Well,
well. I knew something about her seemed special." He muttered. Later,
Tybalt is seen working as his mind was on other things until someone barged the
door opened that made him jump so much that his glass slid almost off but he
adjust himself. He glared out to hear an annoying voice: “Hey, Tybalt!” Elsa
called out. Her hair was a mess. Her dress was splattered with water that she
had been splashed and soap was dripping down from her clothes and hair. “I’m
here. I’m back.” She said, shutting the door. Tybalt eyed her suspiciously.
“Where were you?” He asked. Elsa hurried to her walk-in closet as she ranted,
“I had to take care of some things with the other servants. It was all so messy
and complicated, OMG! You should’ve seen it!” She said peeking out and going
back in. Tybalt smirked, shaking his head. “Uh, Tybalt? Do you where my purple
dress is?” called Elsa. “Still mending from the previous incident you wore it.”
He answered back. A shoe flew over to him but Tybalt dodged it with ease as
Elsa’s voice ringed out. “OMG! Really? Man, this is amusing!” exclaimed Elsa.
“Hey, watch it!” Tybalt snapped. But Elsa ignored him as she came out,
“Ooooh! What about this?” She said. She wore a one shoulder dress that showed a
little of her cleavage and midriff. She squealed with excitement. Tybalt shake
his head, “Mmm-mmm, absolutely not.” He replied dryly. Elsa’s face fell, “Ugh!
Fine!” She said. And sauntered back into her closet. Humming. Then, she gasps
as she found another outfit. Just then, Elsa, Lachlan, and Tybalt were arrested
as they are going to be in there for a very long time. But something about this
was going to change. Emily and her gang were heading down a hall. There they
found a bar in the corner which sparks her interest. “Wow, Medusa’s Haven. This
looks promising.” She remarked, gesturing towards Teague and Villemo. The two
men broke in, surprising the crowd which was full of alcoholics and gamblers.
Emily sauntered in, “Ooooh, nice place you guys got here. But it needs some
work, right?” She said. The leader came forward, his face looked funny like
some sort of creature. “Ahhhh, A rat. Looks delicious.” Emily replied witty.
The rat faced leader licked his lips, or rather his buck tooth in the front.
“Hello dear maiden.” He said in a nasal tone. “Hey there, yourself possum.”
Emily said. The rat faced man smiled, “You look like a price worth a fortune.”
He complimented. Emily was gallant but smug. “Yes I am. You want me so badly?
You’ll have to get through an army of me first.” She defied. Stepping backwards
and behind her crew. “Bring it on!” challenged the leader. He gestured to his
men to come and restrain Gerald, who smirked at the leader. The leader looked
confused as well as scared. Emily smiled, giggling excitedly along with the
others. Gerald threw them over his head, he seized the buck tooth leader and
punched him so hard that his tooth fell off. In the meantime, there was a
ringing as there were some voices as Elsa, Lachlan, and Tybalt woke up slowly
to talking. “Hey turncoats, you got visitors. Your ‘cousin’ is coming to see
you.” said a guard. This confused Elsa, Lachlan, and Tybalt. “Cousin?” Lachlan
asked. The door buzzed before it opened, Emily appeared as she ambles into the
room. “Hello cousins, you don’t look so swell.” commented Emily. The two guards
approached to Emily, “Listen, don’t stay too long. You got…” One of them
started to say, but Emily whipped her head at them. “All the time that I want?”
She asked. The guards looked at her, who placed her slender arms around their
necks as she spoke, “Did you really think that I would let them get
eliminated?” “Um…” The guards stuttered. “Let me tell you, I am quite a
killer.” Emily said, she then inclined her neck and took them down. “Aaah!”
They cried out before falling down. Lachlan and the other two stared at this
sight, he looked up at Emily. “Impressive.” He said. Emily ruffled her own
hair. “Yes, my friends. Guess I have been enthralled by your expertise.
Moreover, I suggested an amalgamation!” She explained. “Hmm?” Elsa looked
confused. “Fascinating. Go on.” said Tybalt. “I have come to unleash you from
your prison.” answered Emily. Lachlan cupped his chin in his hands. “A tempting
invitation but what’s in it for the rest of us?” He said, gesturing to his
colleague. Emily grinned, “Let’s cut to the chase, I have someone you have to
meet.” She said. Suddenly, A sword—an ice kitana—slashes the door wide opened.
There was Prince Joel standing in the doorway. “This, my newcomers, is Prince
Joel.” He introduced. Elsa, Lachlan, and Tybalt are shocked by this. “An ice
prince? Whoa!” Elsa exclaimed. “So, you ready for action?” asked Emily. “Yeah.”
Tybalt replied. “Ugh! Em, I can’t break these walls down.” called Jean,
grunting. “Why?” hollered Emily. “They feel…hard, like some sort of steel.” Jean
said. Emily looked at him baffled, then she glared at Jean frantically. “You
serious?” She asked. Mason looked apologetic. “This building got this whole
place tight.” He explained. Emily sighed with defeat. “Great!” She moaned. “I
got this.” Gerald volunteered. He clapped his hands like he was praying, then
he punched the wall and it broke down. The girls were awestruck by this,
“Clever.” said Tybalt. Teague skips around, “Let’s goooooo….Whoa, whoa!” He
cried. Teague looked at the gang, “It’s a long way down you guys.” He said,
pointing down as there was an ocean. "Ohhhh!" moaned Elsa. Emily
glanced at them. “OK, got a good place. Wait until my other friends hear about
you.” Emily said. Elsa looked at her with an outraged expression. “You never told
us about your other team!” She wailed. Emily seized Lachlan, Elsa, and Tybalt
as they went down to the river. “Let’s go! Hope you guys can swim!” She said,
snubbing the screams of Elsa.
In the
meantime; Chris and Gloria encountered Katherine and her crew with new members
such as Ruby, Marion, and Crystal. Ruby somehow join Katherine but she wasn’t
official because she had her own job as an a private investigator. Crystal and
Marion had recently been there. Once again, Chris and Gloria heard the each of
the story of Ruby, Crystal, and Marion: CRASH went the window of the office
door, that office door belonged to the private investigator name Ruby Tyrell;
the dark haired young woman with the black attire of a jacket, jeans,
scarf, and combat boots. No smile on her face. At all. “Talk to me that way
again and I’ll make you regret. Didn’t anyone ever tell you it’s impolite to
talk to a young lady like me like that and gets away with it.” She said. The
thug who was thrown out was scared out of his wits as he ran off. This was a
day in a life for Ruby Tyrell; she works as a private investigator for Bad
Seeds Inc. She always got jackasses yelling at her and treats her like dirt.
Bar fights from guys who want to take a swing at her. Drinking shots of whiskey
and booze. However, Ruby wasn’t an ordinary 22 year old young woman! In ninth
grade, she was just a shy individual student and felt invisible to other
students. Ruby had a crush on this boy and was about to make contact with him
with a greeting however that failed! Even though she was ‘invisible’, Ruby
struggled to maintain a relationship with her older sister Delphine. Delphine
was uptight and took everything too seriously while Ruby was laidback, calm yet
cool. One day, Ruby came to visit Delphine and uses bubbles to try and lighten
up the classroom but Delphine wasn’t amused as she scolded at her. Saying she
was interrupting the classroom. Ruby felt angry after her big sister forced to
leave the classroom, where her students felt pity for Ruby as she was trying to
have some fun. Then came that tragic event where Ruby, Delphine, and their
parents name Leon and Jillian were going on vacation. Ruby was tired of
listening to Delphine’s success as the two sisters begin to argue with one
another. Ruby calls her a hypocrite for being sweet and innocent around her
family but couldn’t show kindness and claims she hates Ruby for being
fun-loving and easy-going. The family’s vehicle crashed with a van, everything
went black for Ruby. Two years later in her junior year of high school and
close to senior; Ruby awoke from her coma as she learns that she was the only
survivor of the car accident. Her family died in the accident, this made Ruby
believe that it was her fault and blamed herself. She regrets on the argument
with her sister as she wished she told her that she loves her. Ruby managed to
get adopted by a nicer family and she returned to school. When she got back to
school; Ruby was labeled as a freak and out-casted from others. She was
harassed by a jock until she discovered her powers after punching the jock into
a wall hard, shocking everyone. “SCREW YOU ALL!!!! GO JACK OFF IN A BOTTLE OF
FORMALHYDE AND DIE, DIE AND BURN IN HELL FOR ALL I CARE!!!” Ruby shouted at
them. She picked herself up and ran off. She’d get angry at anyone who tries to
pity; she didn’t need anyone’s sympathy because of her loss. However she wanted
to make good with her powers. She discovers she can glide, move a little more
rapidly and heals faster. That’s when she came across a young, eccentric man
name Carlisle Frake and his nice friend Jamie Kuppers. It wasn’t until she
discovered that Carlisle had the ability to bring those who died back to life
however making them undead as a result. Ruby was shocked but she was forced to
work for Frake unless he blackmails her of her powers. Ruby agreed but she also
was forced to be a lust object for Carlisle where she felt so violated. Jamie
felt guilty for her, then the final straw came when Ruby was forced to kill
children, women, and those with illnesses as they were forced to come back to
life as zombies. Carlisle was obsessed with living forever as he had a fear of
dying. After uncovering corpses and forcing to kill for awhile; the traumatized
Ruby managed to escape from Frake and she became a private investigator of Bad
Seeds Inc. where she plans on tracking down Carlisle Frake and prevent him from
causing a zombie apocalypse. She had to stop him once and for all, make him pay
for what he did to her and to all those people as part of his experiment.
Walking alone on these streets made Ruby paranoid a little as she felt like she
could still hear Frake calling her name, screaming her name. This made Ruby
punch a window of an abandoned building as she managed to get away. “He has no
power over me, he has no power over me, he has no power over me….” Every time
her distressing state causes her to snap, Ruby always repeats this mantra many
times until she calms down as she tries to remind herself that Frake has
nothing on her now. Never again will he hurt her or anyone else. But soon, she begin
to have some strange days, Ruby meets a hooded figure and buys him a drink as
she tries to make a little conversation with him but to no avail. Ruby was
angry as she was trying to do good for others and now she was going to punch
the hood until the hood caught her fist in his hand. He knows who Ruby is, Ruby
tries to find out who the masked figure is but he releases his grip on her fist
and leaves. Ruby follows him however she lost sight of him! Then, Ruby was
shocked to discover reptilian monsters, Lizard Beasts! They hissed at her,
licked their lips with such ravenous hunger. Ruby shudder in fear, she hated
lizards—not hate them but more like a phobia to lizards! Just then, a strange
boy who looked to be about 16 to 17 came to Ruby’s rescue, this young man was
Sebastian Benoni. Ruby noticed that his hand was bleeding, he try to assure her
that he was fine but Ruby insists for she wanted to check. She looked at the
hand for any cuts he might have but his entire arm turned red, it then became
like mangled flesh. Ruby gasped, she points at it as she said: “Whoa, that’s
freaky but cool.” Sebastian was nervous, he was afraid she would run off
screaming but she didn’t. She was fascinated by it. Once the arm returned to
normal; Ruby introduced herself to Sebastian as she reassured him, “Don’t
worry. I’m good with weird.” Sebastian smiled, “Thanks.” He said. He sure was
relieved. However it got stranger when she was investigating on a case involved
with someone by the name of Lightning Shadow, a ‘savior’ among teenagers as he
helps them out. It was then on the rooftop where she encounters the legendary
Lightning Shadow, she could not believe it was him! But Lightning Shadow turned
on his heel and sprinted so Ruby climbed the ladder as she chased him, “He’s
fast!” She noticed. However, Ruby won’t stop until she catches up with him. She
won’t let him escape from her; she then slipped and fell from the rooftop. Ruby
screamed for dear life as she was about to glide up when Lightning Shadow
swooped down and rescued her. “He….he… saved my life? But why?” thought Ruby.
Lightning Shadow placed her down on the ground as he went away. Later on, Ruby
asked Sebastian if he knew anything strange that happened to him and Sebastian
told her the story that happened to him once: There was three troublemaking
students excuse themselves to the bathroom when they never came back and they
were found murdered in the bathroom but the new teacher, a blank faced yet
uncaring-seemingly woman name Ms. Palandino didn’t seem to care however Sebastian
was the only to notice that Palandino had a psychotic look on her face in the
classroom alone during the investigation of the crime scene. It seemed she was
the only one that was responsible for it; at least that’s what Sebastian
believes. Ruby thought that was pretty eerie to her and is suspicious of this
Palandino woman. While she took a walk around the neighborhood she used to
live; Ruby noticed that a black, furry squirrel was in the white particles of
snow. That black squirrel followed her and became attached to her. Ruby didn’t
mind as she believes this strange creature was nice but she noticed that this
black squirrel has a name branded on the neckband around its neck: “NICO
TOMAS”. Meanwhile; Ruby meets a newcomer to Bad Seeds Inc., by the name of
Lysander Patton, he seemed so innocent and nice. But underneath that nice
exterior, Lysander was experienced as well as something more elusive in that
face of his. When Ruby got to know Lysander, she finds out that Lysander has a
split personality of a ruthless yet apathetic but skillful fighter name Renard
Adraen. Ruby was shocked to discover this as she finds out from Renard that
Lysander was tortured badly and suffered losses by loved ones he cared for the
most. Lysander would return to his senses as he is aware of his singular
persona Renard as he fears him for his dark fears. A while later, Ruby
confronted some teenagers after she apprehended some Lizard Beasts, who
attempted to surprise attack on the teenagers but failed thanks to Ruby. The
teenagers try to flee however Sebastian and Lysander, who detained them. Ruby
assured them that she is here to find out information on Lightning Shadow. The
teenagers told their story on how they encountered Lightning Shadow: It was the
tragic day of the school shooting where these teenagers were band together and
hiding as their personal issues came out. A loner name Raven Bowan has some
tension rivalry against the prissy girl name Loretta Martin, there was a
catamite by the name of Aldin Zane who confronted his ex-lover name Kellan
McCoy, who was afraid to come out due to the fear of being rejected from
society. Raven decided that the only way out is teamwork and he decides to be
the leader, Loretta was totally against this so Raven took aside and kissed her
in a liplock before pulling away and asking for her trust. Loretta, dazed from
the kiss, agrees. While they were leaving, Loretta saw a crying baby near the
dead body of a student who was the young mother so Loretta took the baby with
her and after they got out, she gave the baby to the dead student’s kind
mother, who wept a little and cared for her grandchild, but this is just ahead
of the story’s aftermath. While the teenagers try to get away, the shooter try
to shoot the teens until the savior—Lightning Shadow came to their rescue and
confined the shooter until the police arrived. Back in the present, Ruby and
the teenagers were interrupted by more Lizard Beasts until Lightning Shadow
took them out as he unmasked himself to be some attractive, yet friendly person.
Afterwards, Ruby sat at the long table where she watched the boy who was known
as Lightning Shadow, the boy’s real name was Jimeno Rael however he may not
look Spanish and was too fair to be a Latino but he claims that white skin
folks from a Spanish heritage can be a Latino or Latina. However, he shows
hatred towards someone who thinks that he was nothing more than a disgraceful
nuisance. Jimeno revealed that the person he was talking about is his spiteful,
selfish, and mean aunt name Mora Bell. In his story, Jimeno Rael used to be
conceited, intolerable, and crotchety but now he is a humble, amiable, and
genial person. He also has a sense of concern and protection for people he can
see as ‘lonely and misunderstood’. But for Mora, she treated Jimeno like dirt
as she played the two faced game where she pretended to be a good person.
Jimeno also explains his reasons to help teenagers are to prevent them from
taking their own lives, to gain acceptance, and to have a high self esteem and
a positive outlook on life. He had seen teens doing this all the time. They
don’t do it because nobody cares, it’s because they want to be loved for what
they are and people are trying to persuade them to not dress up weird. Jimeno’s
parents died when he was little as Mora was a control freak on his life. Ruby
asked him if he had tried to take his own life, Jimeno confirmed this
statement. Ruby was surprised, but Jimeno rephrase his statement by saying, “I
don’t want teens to take their own life like I did. Trust me, you don’t want to
know.” Ruby nods as she begins to have faith in Jimeno and believe his purpose
is not threatening to society.
Crystal
Babson is known to be a cry baby. It’s very hard to separate herself from her
personality. It’s still something that she's trying to figure out. As a child,
she was teased as a kid for being super emotional and taking things way too
seriously. Whenever someone tells her something about herself, she gets really
upset and succumb to tears. It’s a problem. Crystal tries to tell people that
what they’re saying doesn’t get to her. But her tears show otherwise. Something
triggered Crystal and now her tears are flowing down their face like a running
faucet. Crystal is too nice and caring for her own good. Being too nice allows
others to take advantage of her kindness. Realizing everyone’s using her
softness for selfish gain and that might be part of the reason she’s crying.
Society has this idea of how people should act. Crystal’s constant tears may
not meet their criteria, she doesn’t fit inside! Crystal does care that people
are calling her names, although she swears that she doesn’t. In the end,
Crystal owns her name and she understands that humans are emotional beings and
are allowed to cry to let it all out. Crystal’s friends did not want to deal
with her emotional roller coaster all the time so they left her. Feeling sad
and alone, Crystal blames everyone else for not understanding her feelings. No
matter what, she cannot control her tears. When Crystal sees another person
like herself, she understands and feels as if the person should just accept
themselves. As a young girl; she uses to own a dollhouse, as she is using the
toy as a way to escape from her home life. The family’s household is falsely
perfect. They pretend to be perfect in front of other people and the act has
everyone fooled. The real nature of the family comes into play when no one else
around and the problems will begin. No one is around to see the family in its
true form, nobody don’t know what really goes on in their house. The wife is
passed out on the couch due to drinking alcohol, while her husband is out being
unfaithful with another woman. Her brother smokes marijuana behind their
parents' backs. When Crystal tries to make a change by attempting to make her reality
become visible to everyone, nobody pays attention to her. She doesn’t realize
what their life is actually like. The wallpaper glistens, making it seem like
everything in their family is polished and perfect but it isn’t. Since each
other family member has a vice, it would make sense for Crystal to have one or
two of her own. The life comes to play with them; they have to get into their
designated places in order to maintain the facade. To other families,
especially less fortunate and relationship-troubled families, their family
seems to be the perfect from what they see in public. If these people were able
to see through the veil the family’s put up, and see what this family is really
like in their own home, everyone would know that they are far from flawless
with many problems occurring. She knows things about her family no one else
does! Her mom appears to be the perfect, beautiful housewife and mother. People
aren’t able to see what’s really going on because the mother’s jewelry and
that’s people are fooled into thinking they’re a perfect family. The mother
constantly drinks alcohol to numb her feelings and forget that her husband is
cheating on her, they can’t let any outsiders see beyond their perfect family
exterior. She has a desire to keep the facade, the veneer of perfection; to
overlook the issues that have been! Blood spots or stains are the hardest to
wash out of any fabric and if there’s too much, it’s better to just throw them
away. Dressing children who are depressed in nicer clothes won’t make them any
less sad, but it will put on a show in front of outside people. Although the
mother in the story tries to drink her remorse away, her husband is still dead
and there’s nothing she can do about it. Crystal’s mother needed a place to
hide the dead bodies, so she chose her cradle. Crystal’s mother knows this
money isn’t clean and that his everyday job isn’t paying for a high quality
ring. He’s also probably buying her the ring because of his infidelity. The
father just brushes it off as just another day on the job. He’s actually a drug
dealer trying to keep it away from her. He’s oblivious to how much his wife
actually knows and is casually insulting her intelligence. Men not
understanding women’s methods of dieting. As most eating disorders occur in
women. People believe they can instantly transform their bodies into smaller
figures without exercise. Far from true, but advertisements sell weight loss
and people are so gullible they’ll give their money away hoping to achieve
these feats, while continually trying new things which may severely harm them.
The media and society places extreme pressure on people and their concepts of
perfection, normalcy, and beauty. She cares more about skinniness than her
well-being. Her trickery only adds to her society-imposed insecurity. They dip
cotton balls in a drink, usually a sweet one, and swallow it in order to feel
fuller and lose weight. Rotten teeth are often a side effect of eating
disorders. This diet is one that the mother partakes in although it is dangerous.
As part of her self-denial, she thinks of it as cotton candy. Crystal knows
she’s chasing the unattainable – she’s pursuing someone who will never
reciprocate her love, even though they are perfectly fine just stringing her
along. She wants to get off the ride, but because of the actions of her lover,
it’s impossible. She can’t be sure that their relationship is over because of
her own romanticizing, making something more of their relationship than is
really there, and also due to the leading-on by the lover. She’ll be there for
him. They will take on the adventure of life together. His standards are too
high for her to reach. The relationship seemed like simple fun and attraction,
but it started getting too deep on her side. While they both already bought
tickets into this one-sided relationship. She has feelings for him that she
can’t take back. Now he has to take the responsibility of his action. While it
is nearing a stand-still, Crystal continues her attempts to get closer to him,
but this person is never in reach. Just when she thinks she’s almost there, he
keeps getting further away from her. She’ll never get close enough to have him
become committed to this relationship. Crystal realizes that her lover perhaps
has a tryst mentality, giving her the attention she needs and then leaving her.
He’s not there for her when she needs him most, and that’s why she’s trying so
hard to find him. It’s almost impossible because he keeps disappearing. Her
crush believes he’s superior in intellect due to his high education and degree
and is constantly trying to prove. The way he can make her affectionate toward
him, but later will always patronize her and bring her back down. Now she is
fully conscious that this boy is rude and manipulative and thinks he is better
than her. Her will is to argue with him being crushed but she herself is
resilient, in her core. She’s aware of what he’s doing, and she won’t let him
bring her all the way down. From now on, if he tries to push his “superior
knowledge” down her throat, she’ll be finished with him. Crystal is smarter and
more capable than this boy gives her credit for. He’s always talking down to
her like a child, but she doesn’t care about the degrees, education, or
artiness he’s always so pretentious about. She knows she’s smart, and that he’s
not as smart as he thinks he is. Crystal is fully capable of her fame and her
achievements. Her crush may have his own accomplishments, but she questions if
he really is better than her. She doesn’t seem to think so anymore–she’s grown
out of her affection for him and realizes how awful he really is to her. No
matter how superior he believes himself to be, at his core he’s an immature
child, grandstanding in a laughable kingdom of pettiness. Gifts and presents,
though sweet, don’t always fix what’s broken. Crystal wants her crush to make
an authentic apology and recognize and respect her abilities from now on. After
being confronted, Crystal's lover boy tries to make up for his misdeeds with
trivial gifts as he calls her a child because of the bratty way she behaves.
However, he’s a hypocrite because he is selfishly and greedily counting his
coins behind Crystal’s back while accusing her of behaving childishly. Crystal
understands that this boy doesn’t own her. He can’t just play with her like a
doll whenever he likes. His superiority complex that stems from his education
has been torn apart by Crystal’s demand for respect. He no longer has that
weapon to use against her. She said words that make her feel ashamed and
vulnerable afterwards. She’s confessing her love to her male friend, and she’s
scared that she’s unable to stop the babble. This boy she was in love with was
Alphonse Boyden. Then, came along her friend and a second crush by the name of
Kieran Amit; Crystal confessed her love to him, and he’s probably kind of
shocked, while, she’s also frozen in shock at letting the words come out of her
mouth. Crystal thinks that if they date, he’ll eventually get tired of her and
break up with her! She has feelings are always present, ready to burst right
out at any given moment but she has to be careful. She was cautiously around
him, watching what she says to avoid letting herself get carried away. Crystal
can no longer tiptoe around with her words, and all at once she tells him how
she really feels. But she immediately regrets it – even though she knew the
words would spill out one day, she’d been hoping to rein them back as long as
possible. While Crystal didn’t curse at her male friend, she flirted with him
and now regrets telling him she felt. It’s embarrassing going from the platonic
to the romantic, and she wasn’t quite ready for this change, because she sensed
that it wouldn’t last and that he’d leave. She regrets it not because of
anything he did, but because she cares about what he thinks of her, and doesn’t
even want to spoil the friendship they have even though she can’t stand the
tension anymore. She wants to wash her mouth out with soap to punish her own
self for saying anything that could potentially upset him or taint their current
friendship. She will do anything to resolve the situation, now that she’s
turned the tables with her words. Crystal puts the relationship in an awkward
position. He’ll have to either respond similarly, or reject her advances.
Either outcome will hurt, in the long or short run. There was quick electric
shock of change she made by saying what she said. It might mean sudden death
for their friendship. She doesn’t want to hold her feelings in any longer –
she’s tired of having to prevent like her feelings for him are nonexistent. Her
friend she admits her feelings to lets her down gently and things were OK.
Eventually, Crystal found love once again: She is attracted to a boy who seems
to be not interested in her. He’s on a bike and is able to get away when all
she can do is hold onto his seat while he’s riding–which doesn’t work out too
well because bikes move faster than regular walking. She knows a lot for her
age. So maybe she’s making him fall on her purpose so she can nurse him back to
health. Crystal wants to get serious, insisting that she can be of help in
relinquishing his fear of commitment. He can call her out on her flaws, yet it
proves he’s invested in a way that implies they’re ready to move things
further. It takes the bond of true soul mates to be able to be bold and not
hold back anything. They are letting go of the safety and getting more serious
in their relationship. Crystal has to keep repeating herself and reassuring him
that she won’t hurt him like he has been hurt previously but she’s getting
tired of having to prove herself so she explodes. He has been in serious
relationships previously and knows he could get hurt. Crystal wants him to
commit to her, but does not want to say it outright. No matter the
circumstances, which he needs to, trust her! No one came to Crystal’s party and
she’s trying to think of reasons why. And after all that heart and hard work
she put into her invitations. Crystal is questioning why no one is at the
party. She wants to know how to make all of the hurt she is feeling better or
at least bearable since nobody showed up at the party after all of the effort
put into it. She doesn’t care that they’re all no-shows. More cake for her. At
least, that’s how hurt she is. She must’ve have a history of other people standing
her up if she thinks it’s a joke. Since it’s her party, she can do whatever she
wants, including crying. It doesn’t really matter anyways, since she’s alone.
Regardless, Crystal is pretty upset that no one came to pity her, so who cares
if this place burns down? Maybe if Crystal just did things a little
differently, she wouldn’t be feeling like she’s in misery. Maybe if she knew
her invitees better, maybe if she used magic, maybe if she told them how
beautiful her decorations were. Maybe just maybe, they would come. The mix of
emotions causes her to have a feeling of being very messy. No one came to her
party, so she is very emotional and can’t control her emotions. Her emotions
are all over the place. She doesn’t know whether to cry or laugh it off. Her
sanity is slipping away. She feels like she just has to have a good scream to
cope with the feelings. Her new crush is being tired as he is not happy and is
exhausted with the girl he is currently in a relationship with. She was told
that she shouldn't touch things that aren't hers however Crystal doesn’t think
it applies to her since she knows he never wanted that basic hussy in the first
place. Crystal considers this person’s girlfriend to be a whiny child – she
must know that Crystal intends to take her place, so she constantly complains
to the boy. Although she doesn’t truly love this guy and this entire charade is
all but a game to her, Crystal insists that he doesn’t actually love his
current girlfriend at all, perhaps for the sake of her twisted game. This boy
can do so much better than this immature girl. Crystal thinks that this basic
bitch is too much work, as if she’s a bawling baby tiring out her father, so he
should just love Crystal instead. In this day and age, no matter how beautiful
girl may be, the media will make them think they can be better one way or
another. If anyone wants to cut and paste different pieces to conform to what
looking good, they can do as they please. However, Crystal reminds people to
think twice before following through with plastic surgery. Not only can they
come out completely botched, but the media is constantly changing the idea of
what is and is not pretty. The ideals of beauty are in a constant cycle of
subjecting people into feeling like they can’t fit in, sucking them into
changing their looks to be complacent with the status quo. Women change
themselves to be better perceived by others, plastic surgery makes people look
younger most of the time. Innocence is lost and the texture of the skin changes
to a more leathery feel once plastic surgery happens. Seeing everyone with
these fake body parts makes her question whether their decision to alter their
image makes them truly happy, because they fail to realize that they can’t
return it or reverse the changes. Is anyone is gonna stay even when the girl’s
face changes? Crystal takes on the cynical societal view by saying if you want
to be more confident that you should get plastic surgery. Crystal is sad to see
that little girls are growing up and starting to look like their mothers and
not appreciating their beauty. Crystal and her lover are alone and have clearly
played these games before. So what else are they going to do? Her lover isn’t
really interested in going farther, so exploring that is useless. The only thing
left to explore is each other’s bodies. She’s sick of playing games with him
and wants to consider being more than just partners. Crystal’s lover here is
just using her for sex. They don’t care about her well-being and they never
want to talk to her. Unless, of course, they’re talking body. Afterwards,
Crystal wants to go on a deeper level and stop being just a date. However, her
lover just suggests new ways to do it. Crystal reinvents it to tell her play
date something: she never knows what her lover wants despite her desperate
attempts to ask. Crystal says she doesn’t care about this boy, but she really
does care. She ends up the one who shares herself just so they can stay
together. This guy is known as Chico Bleu and it didn’t work out!
Then, Crystal meets Edward ‘Ted’ Bernard: His skin reminds her how pleasant warm ovens are, she like sweets which she associates with his lips, and cotton is soft. Crystal and this boy have all the chemistry it takes to be in a relationship but he just wants to fool around with her. Crystal is not an easy girl that will just allow him to use her for herself and then forget about. She isn’t going to let him take her heart when he leaves, so she’s leaving first and taking her slice of heaven with her. He’s sweet, but he isn’t good for Crystal’s self-esteem. Again, she feels empty and misses him when he leaves. But he doesn’t need Crystal the way she needs him- how a relationship should be. He can be replaced easily, whereas a piece of cake is uniquely made and harder to throw away without regretting. Crystal is desirable. Crystal building a relationship with nothing but kindness and love. She thought nothing of her bear saying crazy things about how he felt about her in his sleep. She’s finding things that can hurt her in her bed, and her pictures torn up, giving us the imagery of a horror movie. Crystal finds this very alarming because she thought her guy was her love. She’s losing hope in her guy, and she’s unsure if she should trust him anymore. Cry Baby loved her guy because he was nice, he listened, and trusted. She doesn’t understand where everything went wrong and why her bear suddenly wants to kill her. She claims to not have gotten too old for the bear and moved on, but to have lost her connection with him and that’s why she let him go. She might want to kill him before he kills her. This seems to be stalking her, showing up to her house unexpectedly, calling her and breathing heavily into the phone. She never thought he was gonna try to kill her. She wasn’t prepared, and now she’s scared that he’s going to attack her. She’s scared because he tried to kill her. One day, it happened! Ted isn’t just acting on primal instinct; he has been watching Crystal for a while and he decides that she is the perfect girl for his twisted game. Ted has had his eye on Crystal for a while now. No other girl has caught his eye for as long as she as. As the known thing for pedophiles to do, the wolf pulls up on Crystal in his car and offers her candy. The tinted windows will conceal her once she’s inside. He runs after her as in he’s trying to kidnap her. The parking lot’s the place where the wolf set his trap, as to blend in his car among many others. Despite the fact that she says no, he continues to pursue her. He is assaulting her, she’s been screaming for help but her situation is starting to seem hopeless. After kidnapping her, he’s still taunting her and making her relive the assault. She attempts to fight back her assaulter by biting him, but to no avail. Despite being bitten by Crystal in her attempts to get away, he loves just to hear her breathe. The creep is fascinated by the proof of her presence through something as simple as her breathing, even though her breathing is most likely as result of struggling to escape. He seems to have taken his mother’s words too seriously and picked a girl like her! Crystal then took down Ted once and for all. Since drugs are used for sleep disorders, Crystal prepares a dose for her abuser so to make it easier to poison him. Crystal refuses to be held captive any longer. Now that her captor is drugged, she’s looking forward to his approaching fate, which will be a deadly one. There’s no telling how long Crystal has been with the wolf, but now she’s playing along in order to expose his defenses and make him vulnerable. This moment is officially when Crystal mentally snaps and is forced to do some crazy things to get out of a crazy situation. She does things to hurt him. She’s feeding him expired milk and poisoned cookies. Looks like Ted made a bad decision since she’ll be the reason for his destruction. He's waltzing around in a circle and falling down while Crystal wears black to his death, she instead focuses on how good she looks in black. She’s happy to be wearing it – she mourns not doing it earlier. Crystal is sick of playing along with the wolf, she chooses to go for the kill. Crystal is taking action into her own hands just like her mother with her promiscuous father. After Ted is dead and his body is disposable so no one would find it; Crystal became a different girl—a different person! No longer does she follow rules. Teachers and parents tell children to walk in the hallways. But she chooses to rebel and chase thrills no matter where it takes them! Crystal like to pop balloons with guns, which are polar opposites. She is utterly insane, and will stop at nothing to destroy their surroundings if it means that she can get high from it. She then receives satisfaction from popping the balloons and then taking that helium as a sense of reward to this drug-like sensation. Crystal paints the white roses with blood from the heads of the people who were beheaded by the Red Queen of Hearts. Crystal allows herself to ally with the ideals to fight conformity and oppression. Crystal is finally stripping away the facade that has surrounding her character. She’s breaking out of her shell, neither caring less for what other people think nor following the crowd. She so crazy she’s asking for a prescription from the doctor, but for some reason the doctor doesn’t seem to see anything wrong. Crystal has come to terms with not being normal and is telling others that they can stick to being normal and she will do her own thing. Crystal doesn’t care if people think she crazy or gone because all the best people are, she is probably denying that there is something wrong with her, but if she wasn’t crazy then why does she get along with the crazies? She wishes to be normal and started brush her normal friends off because they call her crazy. Crystal quickly brings her back to herself because she is as crazy as Crystal is and that’s why she gets along with those who have gone bonkers.
Another girl by the name of Marion Pelloso has suffered something painful
things like she did. Marion places her admirer on a pedestal, her admiration is
so strong that it’s as if she is worshiping her lover. Once she gets starts
getting emotionally close, her lover seems cold and unfeeling. The uncaring
attitude of her lover is just as bad as the faceless nameless evils of modern
warfare; her admirer is emotionally cold and aloof, sharing nothing of his true
self. She wonders if her lover can truly feel any emotions at all. In a
palpable description, her admirer has enticing lips with blood flowing through
them but as she gets closer to her lover, she realizes that it’s all an act.
Inside her lover is cold and uncaring. There is an innate power struggle that
arises between the two. Marion has a controlling partner and she is left caged
and without freedom. But she is now becoming too tired to keep playing this
tug-of-war. She is giving up all her possibilities and all her freedom for no
reason. Her lover stole her heart and didn’t give her anything back, except a
glimpse of a cold, uncaring nature! Marion is making one last desperate plea to
her lover to open up to her, to shares intimately. She has put all of his hope
this; the lack of response is emotionally killing her. Now that her heart has
been deprived she is concerned for her state of mind. She is in danger of being
fully broken, losing all hope. She’s given all her hope and trust, and the
protagonist felt that she could find hope. Marion loses her empathy and becomes
susceptible to the influence and brainwashing, the first step to turn her into
a human drone: punishing her when she doesn’t listen to her. This will lead to
the point that she won’t resist anymore and just accepts it to not suffer
anymore and so does what she’s told to do, when she’s told to do it. He owns
her now and if she does anything without the go ahead he will destroy her. This
guy is attempting to take control of another bleeding heart and using them to
their advantage. The hunter at his work as he tells Marion he’s preying on that
their search for love, having broken them, probably because of either rejection
or a heavy breakup with someone, has to stop. It has taken a toll on her, and
he proposes that emotional safety under his wing is the only solution, luring
her into a false sense of security. The first and most important rule of taking
care of Marion who is the pawn is to make sure she is chain up is someone who
is willing to submit and not challenge authority. From what he’s taking control
of thus far, Marion is the perfect catch: someone who’s both broken beforehand
and needing somebody else to take care of her. He will break Marion emotionally
so she will listen to the manipulator any time and do anything the guy asks
from her. This way, the guy turns her into a psycho and makes a human drone of
her! He displays a strong lack of empathy towards Marion by refusing to
acknowledge her as a human being, but instead as an object and turned into the
possession of the guy. Since she’ll do anything the drill sergeant asks from
him, she’s the ultimate killing machine. Marion has become a human drone of the
manipulative guy, he is in control of the subject and is able to let him do
anything he wants to her. The controller states that a girl like Marion can be
controlled and instructed like a computer program. He objectifies her by
refusing to acknowledge them as human beings with feelings. He is able to
control and manipulate her as easily as changing stations with a remote
controller. Marion could have an improved pain threshold meaning she can take
much more of a beating before having to receive medical attention. His wish to
turn Marion into a drone, which is a killing machine that will ask no
questions. As soon as she becomes the drone the controller is longing for, she
will do anything for her master, including killing, when he is asked to do it.
Since Marion is the one who’ll kill, and not the controller himself, he won’t
be responsible for the deaths. He has succeeded in making the man a killer, she
characterizes this dark-infected society as a game due to its rigid rules and
intensity. Instead of changing it, she became another player, another
submissive minion. The economics of the entertainment industry are rather shady
and exploitation of artists is quite common. Marion has been turned into a
human drone, a killing machine without thought or remorse, controlled by others.
However she is now lamenting the fact that she has lost control of her life.
She is now begging for mercy and rescue. The futility of praying to an absent
god but continuing regardless of what happens! Marion knew that nobody was
never safe anymore, not even at home. If someone wants to, he can kill anybody
with a drone anywhere and anytime he wants to. The battle field is moved to
everywhere. She is constantly targeted and there’s nothing she can do about it.
Since it’s a drone that is targeting her, there’s no one directly behind the
wheel, like in an airplane. She can’t do anything about it! Like soldiers could
be caught in crossfire on the battle field, everyone is now walking in the
crossfire, since the battle field is ubiquitously. This person has the world’s
support, because the people among them are a global superpower, but is corrupt
and unjust in their ruling methods. There’s no point in trying to escape when a
drone’s after a person or more. No matter how fast anybody can run, or where
they try to hide, it will find them and it will kill them. The ways wars are
fought are getting much different. It is still political but it is getting more
vicious. Marion can’t handle the truth that death is everywhere and is hurting
her down. She knows that she and others around her are mere weapons, and if
they should be killed, they can easily be replaced. The people being ruled by
the government will rise and hence rebel against the unjust government, taking
in so much information can be overwhelming. One must know they are ready to
process stuff that is sinister, and being ready comes through mindfulness. Live
in the now, and survive for tomorrow. The oppressor doesn’t need to do anything
other than control the drone, which has the capabilities needed to kill the
oppressor’s enemies. Once she realizes who the oppressor is, the oppressor
looses power. Marion has been programmed to obey the commands of her handler,
who controls her every act and feeling. Marion fights against the forces that
seek to keep her in her current state as a subservient servant. She has a
feeling of weakness from being under mind control. Standing one’s ground
against an oppressor is liberating. When she is survival mode, she creates
mental walls in her mind. This gives an oppressor the ability to control their
victim’s thoughts and emotions. Marion had lost empathy due to mind control
and, most likely, torturous training. She now embarks on a new path; face fears
and become anew. Marion is breaking the handler’s hold over her as she has finally
decided to rise against and to be free. Once the shackles of mind control are
shed, fear is eventually lost. Then confidence returns and Marion feels as
though she can go it alone. She is beginning to realize her own power and that
the oppression is coming to an end. Though it is not yet fully realized, Marion
will to never be owned again is further solidified with a self confidence on
her shoulders.
After hearing this, Chris sarcastically remarks: "Aww great! How many backstories do we have to listen to?" Katherine smirks, "As much as you want." She joked. Chris sighed, "Pass." He said and left. Katherine and Gloria glance at one another before bursting out laughing with each other.
