Chapter 3: Crimson Walk
Chris, Gloria, and Jem were working around the cathedral. Chris was training, Gloria was polishing the alter, and Jem was doing his ritual watching. Just then, something interrupted the three of them! "Hallelujah, glory to the Lord in the highest, and peace to the good, the broken and battle scarred folks." A voice said, it made Gloria scared & confused until Stephanie steps out of the closet. "I'm sorry. Did I scare you? I seem to have that effect on people. It's good to see you." Stephanie said. Gloria gasped, "What are you doing here?" She asked. Stephanie shrugs, "Well, there's no place like home." She claimed. Jem was shocked to see her, “Home? This isn’t your home anymore Stephanie! You have harmed everyone that trusted and loved you!” He reprimanded. Stephanie sighed, “I realize that, and I regret it. Jem...” She said. Jem confronts her, “Don't try to interfere, or call your allies...” He started to say but Stephanie insisted, “I'm not calling anyone. The truth is I'm glad to see you all again. Please, help me start again.” She begged. Jem was annoyed by this as he was frustrated but held back his temper, “Stephanie, I can't harbor a fugitive, I'm a guard. Why the hell should I help you?” Stephanie seized Jem by his collar and gritted her teeth, “Listen to me!!! You have to understand that Pastor Malone is a bastard and Tunek is a pervert and a sadist! You are working for the wrong guys in this world!” She said. Stephanie threw Jem backwards and Gloria screamed while Chris was shocked. Jem glance back at Stephanie. “Gloria, what’s going on darling?” Tunek asked, entering the room but then he gasped in horror: “. “Tunek!” gasped Stephanie. Shocked; Tunek quarrel out against her, “W—w—w--what are you doing here? Y—y—y--you stay back!” He yelled. Stephanie glared at him, “Hear me out, I never want to hurt her.” She said. “N—n—n--no! You're lying! That's all you ever do!” He seized Gloria and had a knife poised at her throat. “Don’t you dare…!” Stephanie threatened. She used her powers against Tunek who threw backwards but his hand ripped the necklace off Gloria’s neck who was shocked by her pendant being ripped off. The guards seized Stephanie as they were about to take her away when Chris steps in and demanded, “Let the girl go!” Stephanie gasped, “Chris, how in the world?” She asked. “I said let her go! Or explain to all everyone how you managed to sneak your way in here.” Threatened Chris. The guards were hesitant until Chris said again, “Don’t make me repeat myself, let her go.” The guards release her as Stephanie was thrown into the arms of Chris. “Keep your mouth shut, Steffie.” Chris whispered. “Chris...” gasped Stephanie but Chris glared at her, “I said shut up!” He instructed. Stephanie did and got her to safety. Stephanie looked at him with surprise, “Chris, you frightened me. I thought, I thought you might have changed.” She remarked. “Believe me, Steffie. I have changed.” Replied Chris. Glinda enters the room. “What's going on?” She asked. She saw Stephanie and grinned, “Steffie? Oh, thank god you're alive!” She said with a gasp. “Gloria, you'd better go.” Chris said. Gloria was confused. “Chris, what are you...?” She started to ask but Chris called out: “Please, just go back and stall Tunek.” Gloria nods as she went away while Stephanie and Chris got away. "Gloria, d—d—d--darling! You came back." Tunek exclaimed. "I had to." Gloria shrugged. "F--f--f--for this?" Tunek asked, he holds Gloria's necklace. She smiles, "Yes." Gloria replied. Tunek gesture with his hand, "Shall we, then?" He suggested. Gloria sighed and followed Tunek. She was in the tower once again as he scolds at her, "That's t--t--t--two hundred times this month you've drugged into my tea and run off." Tunek snapped. "Three hundred times, actually." corrected Gloria with a grin. Tunek then forbid Gloria from leaving but Gloria would soon get back at him eventually as she thought of Chris and Stephanie, wondering if they’ll be all right. In the meantime; Stephanie and Chris were in an embrace in the woods at night which glowed beautifully in the moonlight. “This moment is forever, even when our lives end. Right now I am happy. My heart is filled with love so let's go together. Let's flee to the ocean of love!” suggested Stephanie, “You look at me now with eyes that seem to be burning. The two of us alone at last. I'll keep holding you, only you in the light of the morning and under the moon at night forever and ever.” She paused. She cringed as she wondered what she said must’ve sound too much! “…I mean I'm trying not to seem strange.” Chris thought for a moment before he responded, “Maybe it is strange, but I'm OK with it.” He admitted. He then took her face in his hands and continued to say, “Even since these doors have open for me, I took my time to explore the horizons. And then I meet these new people I have no idea who they were. With each other, we seem like the perfect couple. Don't we?” He ended with a sneaky smile. “I'm having a hard believing that your here with her but I know that I'm not dreaming so if I am can I wake up now, I could.” Said Stephanie, “I hated wishing; because they say wishing only wounds the heart. I never thought you would ever want me. Or love me because of how happy and perfect you & Gloria seemed together.” The two looked like they were going to kiss but Stephanie pulled away, nervously. “What is it?” asked Chris. Stephanie shook her head, “Nothing. It’s just, for the first time, I feel...Happy.” She admitted and she stretched her toes up as she lip-locks against Chris’s mouth. Indeed, she was happy! With the boy she loves. Back with Gloria, she was serving Tunek with his meal: “Oh Tunek! Lunchtime!” She announced. “Ah, what's this?” He asked. Tunek sniffs the food, “Fried tofu! Mmm...” He exclaimed. Tunek prepares to take a bite but then sniffs suspiciously, “...And cucumbers?” He asked. Gloria looked innocently as she replied back, “What's wrong? I thought you liked cucumbers. “Nothing's more suspicious than cucumbers! Until you eat it, I won't taste a portion!” Tunek said. “I'm not hungry.” Gloria claims, she shrugs and in doing so pretends to accidentally knock over the spoon he holds up. She pretends to be surprise, “Oops!” She said. Then, Gloria shoves the spoon aside on the floor and, still bent over, removes a slotted spoon from her sleeve she hidden while Tunek complains: “Y—y--you want me to starve! A man l—l---l--like me whom you owe your v—v—v--very life to, i—i—i—insolent girl!” Gloria just laughs a little, “Oh, don't be silly!” She said. She dips the sifting spoon in the soup and pretends to taste it, “Mmmm! See? Delicious.” She claimed. Tunek was fooled by her trick and devored the food until he passed out. Gloria escaped as she and Chris—who had left Stephanie as he promised to see her again—as they went to meet with Jem, who told them about how to help Stephanie take down the pastor and Tunek while also planning to find Sirk. “What about that girl in red? You know Walker?” Gloria asked. Jaro whirled around with shock, “Oh no, not her! You don't want her help.” Jaro exclaimed. “We might.” Chris insisted. “No, you don't. She does not work well with others.” Jaro avers. Chris and Gloria glance at one another with confusion, “What do you mean?” Gloria asked. Jaro sighed, “I didn't want to bring it up, but rather than have you stumble on to it and make another mistake, I'll tell you. She’s part of Truant Wave; she’s the most dangerous girl.” Chris and Gloria were shocked to hear this. Chris and Gloria were sent out to search of Stephanie but then saw someone in an unknown being. Gloria followed the figure and looked around as she wanders alone while Chris followed her. “Hello? Where are you?” Gloria called out. Just then, a voice called out: “Gone, babe. Gone, Gone, like the wind.” It was a silhouetted figure, her back turned in a chair. Gloria looks at her, “Of course they're gone. They must’ve went out.” She said. The figure said, “Yeah, I know.” Gloria’s face looked at the person, “Are you someone new?” She asked. The red head said, “I'm a genie in a bottle that needs to be rub the right way, babe.” She crossed her legs. She sat up and she gasped at the sight, Gloria saw that the girl was Scarlet. Chris came in and was shocked to see the sight of Scarlet. Scarlet took any interest in Gloria and walked around her. “Wh--why are you revolving around me?” Gloria asked softly. Scarlet apologize with a dazed look, “I'm sorry Gloriana.” She replied. “It's Gloria.” Corrected Gloria timidly. Scarlet nodded, “Gloria.” She answered. Chris snapped at Scarlet with a harsh enunciating, “Gloria, missy.” Scarlet ignored him, “It's just that – she looks an awful lot like... never mind.” She said. That’s when Scarlet want to help Chris and Gloria but they soon regretted since Scarlet was insane, desirable, and violent young woman! Scarlet, Chris, and Gloria encountered with Sirk. Scarlet faced Sirk as she unleashed her violent rage against him and left him in the dirt but Chris and Gloria were called in by the guards while Scarlet made her getaway. Chris and Gloria were confronted by a stressed Jem, he was not very happy to heard what had been going on. "You two have really screwed up! I received word that you went to Scarlet Walker, you were conspiring with Stephanie Redford!" scolded Jem. Chris was about to say something but Jem held up an index finger. "No! I'm not done!" scolded Jem. He continued saying, "And you let Jaro Leroy get hold of the book!" Chris and Gloria looked shocked, "What? When did that happened?" Chris demanded. Jem rolls his eyes, “Never trust Truant Wave or the Black Parade! We cannot have a mistake like yours provide proof that there are outsiders like you out in the world!" That’s when Jem told the story of Scarlet’s life to Chris and Gloria after his encounter with Jaro Leroy, the leader of Truant Wave, who told him the past life of Scarlet: Single mother Desiree Walker raises three kids without a father but is aided by her niece, who is in her late teens and almost in her 20's. Desiree suffered a struggling childhood: Her grandfather had inflicted unwanted abused her, her father was an alcoholic, and her mother didn't help Desiree of that abuse as she blamed it on her daughter--claiming it was her fault. Desiree managed to survive and escaped the abuse from her grandpa, she got pregnant by her abusive boyfriend. But she managed to have an on and off again fling with him. She was now raising two daughters and one son. But Scarlet, Desiree's niece, is staying with her as her parents were killed in a car accident. And has become a different person! Long ago; an old man photographs outside of a church when he is about to snap another picture when he can see a young teen girl in the lenses. He looks up to see this little, beautiful girl who is wearing a short sleeved white and blue dress with Mary Jane blacks. She has brown hair that stands out from the average Sunday clothes she wore. "Beautiful." muttered the old man. The girl glance at the man and smiles brightly, "Grandpa!" She called out as she went over and embraced him. The man photographing the church is Desiree's grandfather name Maurice, he has been closed to the family ever since but mostly desires to be with Young Desiree. Young Desiree spends time with him where she is fascinated with stories about innocent girls and fantasies. Desiree had no clue and didn't notice that he couldn't stop staring at little Desiree. The way she skipped in the fields of daises with bare feet. Wearing vestal white. Maurice watches her and listens, feeling aroused by her young beauty. He grow more for Maurice as his obsession for her made him blush; Desiree's family never was a tad bit suspicious of Maurice's intentions towards Desiree. She means the world to him, and he’d do anything for her, but the world doesn’t approve. They don’t think him fitting for her. In his infatuated perspective for his granddaughter, he knows that her lips taste like fruit punch to him. She puts lip balm flavored on them, he can tell. Maurice understates his love for her, he doesn't reveal his true feelings for Desiree and his desire to get in bed with her. He has a reputation for hitting off with younger females as well as children but he has changed. He is quite fond of spontaneous romance, he want passions with his granddaughter and so infatuated for her. All he wanted was a romantic night with her his own way. He could see Desiree has no shame in her game. She possibly lies about her promiscuity for she lives in a luxurious lifestyle, a smooth talker to the boys--Including Maurice. People who don't know Little Desiree are fooled by her demeanor as everyone falls in love with her looks. How she is a party girl at heart, she gets dressed up and hopes to find a crowd. Always depending on the kindness of strangers, everything you want is impossible. She's playing around and breaking my black heart. Looks being drained due to stress. She doesn't care for the abuse she gets for loving her. She seeks only happiness and doesn't see the problem. Even if it's an older man like him. Desiree is trying to understand why life isn’t fair and why everyone is so unhappy, she is lacking confidence and she feels like she can’t fit in with everyone else. Getting drunk and lacking better judgment, her grandfather is constantly harassing her in a very depraved yet sick things and even ends up resorting to desirable events and violence towards Desiree! When the teachers notice her injuries, she lies about them because she’s afraid of revealing her grandfather’s abuse. Her mother never around most likely smoking and getting divorced to Desiree's alcoholic father, Desiree feels like she doesn’t have anyone to talk to. The only person she has now is her mother, who is too occupied with even take her emotions into consideration. Her mother is unstable and thinks the relationship is nothing but the relationship between granddaughter and grandfather is almost always end up abusive towards Desiree. Her grandfather constantly subjects Desiree to unwanted abuse, easily overpowering her with his strength and size as it leaves Desiree completely defenseless. Desiree tries to tell her mom about what her grandfather has done to her, but her mom doesn’t think that she’s telling the truth. Since her mother wouldn’t listen to her, Desiree realizes that she’s on her own. Desiree’s life is a living hell at home because of her mother ignoring her about the horrible abuse from her grandfather. Because of this, she thinks hell is her own home! By the time she was old enough, Desiree is running away because of her life at home is nothing more than a living hell and learned to survive alone. That's when, Desiree learns her older sister and her husband were killed in a car crash as their own daughter, Scarlet, is the only one left. She's alone so Desiree takes her under her care. One night; Desiree got a disturbing phone call from her sick grandfather, who said some lewd things to her: "Ah, Desi....You are the light of my life. The fire in my loins--My sin and soul. Love at first sigh, last sight, ever sight." He said in a creepy monotone. "Please don't call me." Desiree said. "Please my sweet girl, I need you to imagine us!" Maurice begged but Desiree calmly told him while getting choked up, "Stop. Calling Me. I don't want to be part of your life anymore." Maurice comforts her, "Don't cry, I'm sorry to deceive you but that's how life is." He said. Scarlet looked over at her aunt who was quiet for a moment. "Are you OK?" She asked. Desiree nodded, "I will be." She admitted. In all her time of growing up; Scarlet looks up to her Aunt Desiree very much, and thinks she's gorgeous. She thinks her aunt looks even more beautiful tonight, with her hair done up all nicely but Desiree begins to date a black male name Maxwell Earl. When their relationship began, everything seemed so wonderful and it seemed like nothing could go wrong. The relationship that began so well turned to crap, she should have seen it coming yet still can’t believe it happened. Maxwell has his own evils but these evils push the limits of those seen previously, she insinuates that this may be on par with or even worse than the devil himself. He is just going to stand there and watch her while she breaks down. She was one of those abused women become psychologically dependent on the abuse and the abuser gives them a sense of control. She has been a victim of domestic violence, possibly at the hands of Maxwell. However, Desiree has hidden her eye bruise well, presumably with makeup and she’s wearing a cheesy fake grin while joking around, pretending she’s okay. But Scarlet sees through those lies, knowing her aunt really isn’t okay even though she pretends to be in order to maintain the calm in the household. Maxwell is a drinker, which is probably the reason he presumably hits Desiree. Desiree acts like everything is fine and kisses him after he has been drinking. Her lover apologizes to her mother by buying her jewelry! Maxwell was able to manipulate her affection and love with his words, to her love is her love while his words are his teeth, her love is her blood. His careless whisper wasn't enough, she felt like he could make her feel overcome with love with even a word – leaving her heart feeling empty, and her chest hollow. It is hard for her to forget her love because she has already been absorbed what he tells her, he says he will make it better. Just telling her that he cares is useless because after what they have been through, it is just not enough. When he says the words to her, it’s basically saying nothing because he doesn’t care and she doesn’t feel as if it’s good enough. These words can be used carelessly without any thought, meaning or truth behind them! Desiree is getting nothing out of the abusive relationship, only attraction which is not enough to maintain a strong and healthy relationship. She is trusting without knowing exactly what is going to happen. An abusive love; she has no reason to believe his promises, but she continues to do so regardless. She still tries to have faith in the person even though they give her nothing. It’s hard to learn as it’s hard to move on from this guy who hurt her over and over. At the same time, it’s hard for her to keep love in her heart, because it’s so painful. When he talks sweet to her its really empty words that had no feelings; the words are endearing or flirting words spoken to a loved one to express affection. The emptiness and the hollowness that the other person has given her in their relationship. Abusive relationships will leave women with some pretty serious bruises. Crying is the only response to releasing one’s self from the pain and suffering. She’s not just going to stay around and get her ass beat for no reason anymore and kicks him out. Desiree's thinking that just cutting him off might be the only way for him to learn. Obviously with all this pain, she thinks that they’ll only be hurting each other, and so she’s sick of him lying and her lying to herself. Obviously the guy is coming back to her all upset, telling her he can’t live without her. He can’t seem to understand how much grief he’s been causing her. Now that he’s regretting his decision, it seems that he believes he is the one hurting, he’s playing the victim, when his pain was inflicted. He claims been so conflicted with himself that there’s no way he can really want her — just the relationship. He only wants it because he sees it’s finally ending — not for the right reasons. But he continues to abuse Desiree as Scarlet was not suppose to intervene or Maxwell would get her too as well as Desiree's children: Craig is the oldest and is 6 to 7 years old, Miriam is in the middle and is only two years old, and Bianca is the youngest and only one years old. The three are really Desiree and Maxwell's children however Mazwell never cared for the kids and wasn't home a lot. She never did anything that caused him pain and that all his pain has been inflicted to her. He’s trying to get sympathy from her, as if she were the one causing his pain. She reminds him that he doesn’t really love her and that he was never hers, which is also probably something she’s just come to realize in the process. In her submissive, scared state; Scarlet could see that Desiree has been dealing with a lover who has been wishy-washy with their relationship, and she’s finally sick and tired of all the trouble he’s been putting her through. He probably has broken up a few times, or has taken some sort of action that basically says he doesn’t really love her. If he really did love her, he wouldn’t be putting her through all this pain. He can’t seem to make up his mind on if he really wants her or not, and she’s sick of dealing with his conflicts and an inability to make a good decision that he doesn’t regret. She’s finally trying to be the mature one and finally find some peace for herself. She sees that he’s too conflicted to just leave her or take her, and to save them both from further pain, she’s decided that she just doesn’t want to be a part of it anymore. She is firm in her decision by making the decision for him. Getting him out of her life so she can move on, and so that hopefully he will learn. Free but traumatized; Scarlet feels her life is like being trapped in a cage. Every time she tries to get better she keeps thinking about going insane over and over again! Scarlet knows she can’t escape what she is no matter how hard she tries and regrets every decision that she’s made that’s made her who she is. No matter what she does there is still this anger inside of her she cant get rid of. No matter what she does her life is a living nightmare. She is afraid that she may do something dangerous and hurt herself or someone she cares for. Now that she has reached this point of a total loss of control, she’s begging for someone to help her escape the hell she has turned her life into. At first, she wonders what would happen if people were to see her dark side. Would they stay by her side, or leave in fear? Scarlet has become a monster and her personality changed for the worst. Scarlet is a bad girl in disguise, she is under the guise as a normal woman. She is going out to find a new man, so men should be forewarned that she is on the hunt. Some men are looking for a tame woman, but Scarlet's got other ideas. There’s a full moon, so Scarlet is ready to transform into a she-wolf! She isn’t getting as much out of the relationship as she is putting into it. Apparently boys are neglecting her. She feels left out, so she’ll find a man who will cooperate with her and tell the other guys about her new love. Scarlet is like a hunter as hunters in the animal world like to look at their targets directly in the eye, she'll sniff them out. She feels like a werewolf where werewolves never die, so there’s no need to act cautiously! Scarlet will be calling up the department looking for some hotties, and also that this she-wolf is going to be wreaking havoc, so may need the fire department to put out any fires she starts. Scarlet is a warrior and compares herself to a wolf. She feels like they don’t let her enough freedom and she need air circulation! She keeps defused bombs that almost killed her emotionally, she essentially having much caution when she is around this boy, not knowing how he feels about her. Even though she’s on his side and wants the best for him, he still fights and argues with her. Now she’s sick of him playing around with her. She’s no longer trying to help him and is ready to leave if he isn’t in this for the long run. This boy won’t just let her in and allow himself to be with her, instead of constantly giving her mixed signals. In addition, she doesn’t understand why he’s fighting against her when she wants the same thing that he should want. Scarlet does not understand why this guy insists on making their love a competition; she just wants to love him freely but he isn’t willing to do that. Scarlet doesn’t want him to leave her waiting for an answer, she needs to know whether he is in this for the long run or not! She is fully aware of this guy’s faults and problems. Every time this guy changes his mind, Scarlet gets hurt. The games that he plays on her, by constantly changing his mind about whether or not he wants to be with her, hurt her. Now she's leaving it entirely up to him, as she realizes there’s nothing she can do if he wants to leave her and there’s no use wasting her energy by fighting with him. It’s an ultimatum. Leave, or stay. She has laid her guns down and she wants peace whatever the outcome may be. She once heard: "If you choose your battles then you will come out on top victorious!" Which was true. This guy is just hurting himself and setting himself up for failure while Scarlet wants to show him what he could experience if he could just allow himself to be with her. She has had enough and decided not to fight with him any longer. If he keeps messing her around by not choosing whether he wants her or not, she is ready to abandon him. It doesn’t take a lot to cause a chain reaction. Despite her past, she’s ready to tell the world what she has to say – she wants to be heard, loud and clear. Scarlet spent most of her life holding back the things she wanted to say, thus causing her to have a destructive mindset – as destructive as a wrecking ball slamming into anything and everything in its way. Her current situation is causing everybody to worry about her, even causing her to lose friends. Although she is longing for something, she still believes that she can do whatever she originally set out to do. After all, she can trigger explosions with just a match, so her fiery passion will get her through. Now; she’s taking back her life, she’s doing okay, and that she doesn’t need people to believe in her because she’s determined to keep fighting. It’s not her problem if people don’t think she’s strong enough to fight back all the negativity. She knows she is. She is given herself confidence to do better, be better, and keep pushing forward regardless of the circumstances. A guy trying to give her some lame pick-up line like she hasn’t heard it before. For Scarlet, she has short relationships with men to fulfil her needs. They make the mistake of falling in love with her. Scarlet thinks the boys are hungry to have some fun with her and her friends! She knows the boys want her, but she treats them like a dog to get it. He’s just been another one of her conquests & that she’s a harlot like him. Some guys looks for foolish, dumb girls while Scarlet looks for dumb guys too, nobody will ever come across a woman quite like Scarlet Walker! Men could buy her the riches and be romantic and make her love them tenderly and know what a woman's worth is. Scarlet wants to get treated right and with respect that is given not just glory with riches, to show what she is worth. If any man fail to make her his priority she will leave the boy and find someone who can value her worth. If he treats Scarlet equally, she will give him her temple! Treat her how a real woman should be treated with respect and love. If he never cheat on her she will be real with this guy when the road gets tough! She is always there for her soon to be man and he really shouldn’t take her for granted because she can always find another who will treat her right. A real man knows a queen when he sees one and isn’t afraid to show her love and respect when it is due and won’t deny it. The conversation has reached its peak. Scarlet stopped talking because she didn’t want the conversation to go downhill. He made a great first impression which she’s interested with him and puzzled as to how he fell for her so fast. This girl is innocent, naïve! He doesn’t have anything to offer. Still, he wonders why lonely people don’t at least take him in for companionship. This guy makes her want to experience things she's never felt, she may not yet a woman, so she can’t be held accountable for her actions. Scarlet likens her transformation when the moon is full and cause mayhem and destruction. She was like a creature breaking out of its cage to feed. They could try to go for a drive, but her passions and lusts are mounting and it won’t be long before she wants to jump his bones. She only needs one day, she’ll get any guy to become a savage like him. With the full moon, she’ll become a rabidly tyrant and she is wickedly opinionated as she will blow him away. Scarlet knows she has that killer instinct inside of her and that she's an animal and is baiting her male victims by telling him how lucky he is. Scarlet has fully morphed into her werewolf-like state. While she’s now a different form, she likes it and finds pleasure in the new state of her mind and body. She wants to take this to the next level. She wants guys to turn into a beast with her and it's a new feeling, but she wants them to go with it now! The curse is the desire for blood and revenge. Her bite is what cements the curse to be something new, she made him into a different person and rode off into the moonlight with her! One of the employees left the back door open for easy, discreet access for Scarlet Walker and her crew. She is the ringleader of this band of miscreants, is encouraging the members of her boost crew to stick with her, without hesitation or question. She is going to take over the club by getting everyone to not letting them leave so she might get the information she wants. Scarlet is in charge, because she’s willing to take extreme measures to make sure her demands are met. She and her crew and pretty, sick, young and bored, they will more likely than not be getting into some mischief later in the night. Scarlet is making a list of the people in the club so they can sort through and separate out the most valuable hostages. Most likely they’re looking for folks carrying a lot of cash, and if they’re a really sophisticated crew, they’ll be running names through a wealth screening database to check for high value targets. Things are about to get nuts, so it’s time to break out the guns and grab some hostages. Scarlet and her crew rain bullets and despair on their unsuspecting prey! As the fire cannot reach the basement, and is therefore unable to destroy the crypt, where Belinda escapes. Scarlet Walker and her best friend, Belinda, returned when they discovered she wasn’t here. Scarlet discovers a note from the kidnapper that they have her aunt Desiree so they must come and find her. Scarlet was shocked by this, she then decided to check on the kids and found that they were OK. Nothing has changed about them. Luckily, the babysitter arrived and Scarlet made an excuse that Desiree had called and she needed Scarlet because her car broke down. The babysitter was kind enough to understand so Scarlet and Belinda went off however the place to go and find Desiree was at Flesh Venus Asylum, an old facility that shut down a long time ago. But they need to find out where it is so Scarlet decided to try a bar but Belinda thinks the bar downtown is not a good place but stubborn Scarlet refuses to listen to her. When the girls got inside the bar; they could see it was very crowded and no, people did not care for them. They would laugh at their questions or they were too busy drinking or dancing to care. However, a few sleazy guys try to hit on Scarlet and Belinda, who were uncomfortable around them. They try to be nice and let these guys off gently but those shady, arrogant bastards wouldn’t let them leave. Scared for her life, Scarlet grabbed someone’s drink nearby and splashed it in one of the guy’s faces, angering him however Belinda turned the tables and fought the guys. Everyone was so scared that they flee from the bar at the two crazy young females fighting the guys. From rooftops; two figures were watching the screaming crowd fleeing the scene of the club. “Heh, some party!” One of them said, “Wonder what went wrong.” The second next to him said, “Let’s find out. C’mon.” So off they went to check out what happened. In the now empty club; Scarlet and Belinda were panted out of breath. Those jerks that harassed them were nowhere in sight. They ran off in fear! “I can’t believe we did all of this, Scar.” Belinda said. “I know, I feel like a got a hot but better.” Remarked Scarlet. Belinda grimaced, “You did not just say that. Did you? C’mon Scar!” She complained. “Oh, shut up!” Scarlet snapped. “Hey, did you two cause this?” A voice asked. Scarlet knew that was a guy’s voice. She tensed up, “What the frick do you want, ass…” Scarlet started to say but she stopped when she saw it was Mogue! She noticed his physique of being muscular and lean. “Damn, he’s hot….What am I thinking? Focus Scarlet! Don’t even try it! You cannot get distracted by the hotness.” Thought Scarlet. Scarlet then stood up and sizing up to him, “Yeah? What’s it to ya?” She snapped. “Take it easy, Red. I’m not here to hurt ya and neither is he.” Mogue said, gesturing towards Sven. Scarlet noticed he was dark haired, pallid-skinned, and how he was a mysterious kind of chap. She felt like he was a good looker kind of guy. She shook her head again as she had to focus! Again! Scarlet asked them if they know a place called Flesh Venus and Mogue claims that he does so the four of them sets off to find the location. As they managed to find the Flesh Venus Asylum; Scarlet, Belinda, Mogue, and Sven encountered enemies as well as ‘Kevin’. But to Scarlet and Belinda’s surprise; it was all a test as Kevin revealed to be Jaro Leroy as he congratulate them! It turns out Aunt Desiree was never kidnapped. It was just a way for Jaro to find a new member who would be part of Truant Wave. Scarlet and Belinda were shocked by this and without any hesitation, they accept. Jaro nodded, “Very good ladies, welcome to my world.” He said. Scarlet and Belinda were now members of Truant Wave!
The metallic head above her sprayed sprouts of water on her bare skin, the blistering shock relax the tension in her muscles. Her wavy red tresses soaked in the rain of the shower. Scarlet closed her curtains as her fingers danced in those cherry locks of hers, unknotting the tangles as she yelped quietly. Hands dragged a soapy louffa against her body, washing the soap that scrubbed all over and erasing traces of bad odor and gunk. She let the steaming rain caress her body while the coating of bubbles dissolves and rinsed away. She thought about her day: How she was in the bathroom, looking at herself in the mirror until Belinda came in and confront her about what her problem was. Scarlet claims that she finds Katherine a bizarre person and how she couldn’t stand her. Belinda told her that there was nothing wrong with Katherine, she seemed like a nice girl but Scarlet didn’t want to hear this anymore so she left the bathroom. She stormed away but stopped and looked behind to see Mogue, Sven, and Lawrence looking at her. It made her irritated so much that her heel of her shoe broke. She was shocked as she wondered how that happened. Then, irritation invoked her after she heard Lawrence’s low chuckle. Scarlet dared not to turn around as that would show weakness. She took off her shoes and her feet paddled against the hot pavement, but she didn’t care because she did not want to look at any of them in the eye. Unknown to her, Mogue was watching her with a glance of concern on his face. Then, Scarlet found out the reason to her parents’ car accident and learned about her heritage as a Berserker. What’s worse is that the Berserker came from her father and Scarlet broke down, thinking she was a freak. She suffered nightmares and left the Truant Wave to be alone while she sat on a hill as she stared at the moon but she lied on her side until someone covered her with a blanket. She saw that it was Mogue, who stayed with her all night and in the morning down below from the hill. Back in the present; Scarlet turn up the shower a little more hotter but she gasped at how hot it was against her skin. Her feet felt like they were on fire so she turned it down for a bit. It also prickled at her scar where she remembers how she was strangled by those boys who snickered and claimed that she was so weak. Blade across her skin, she nearly died. Thinking about the memory made her pant for breath, made her gasp and she begins to pant her mantra over and over again: “Survive….Fight…. Survive….Fight…. Survive….Fight…. Survive….Fight….” Just then, a voice made her jump and slid almost: “Hey, whatcha muttering about in there Girl with the Red Hair?” Scarlet cursed silently, “Son of a—Boys, I thought I’d told you that I want to have some privacy! Geez!” She called. “You forgot to lock the door, that’s how we got in.” Sven said. Scarlet realized her mistake and then she blushed but she hollered: “Oh…um, right! Sorry, you can go now.” But they didn’t leave, Mogue said: “Actually we like to talk to you. Why were you so mean to Katherine? She’s a nice girl. She wouldn’t even hurt a human being.” Scarlet rolled her eyes, “Listen, Raging Firebird, Katherine Donovan is a freak. A Freak Girl and she doesn’t have any troubled pasts like us. She’s a miserable person who acts like everyone else. She thinks she’s better than us! It makes me so sick!” She ranted. “Well, why don’t you get to know her? She’s really not that bad Scar.” Mogue pointed out. “OK, first of all? Don’t call me Scar—only Belinda calls me that. And second, I don’t want to get to know her! I never want to get to know her better because she’s a nuisance as well as a piece of crap.” Scarlet explained. She puts her hand out as she said, “Mogue, since you and Sven are here, hand me a towel.” Mogue sighed, “Fine.” He said. He gives Scarlet her towel as Scarlet took it. The shower turned off, there was some shifting sounds until Scarlet pulls the curtains back, revealing to have wrapped the towel around her body. She stepped out of the shower as she walked past them whilst she said, “Now if you don’t mind, I am going to get changed and if you guys peep on me, and I will punch your lights out.” Sven smirked, “Now why would we ever peep on your pretty little ass. You expect us, Bartel, Lawrence, or Rusty to peep on? Please.” He retorted. “HA, very funny.” Scarlet replied with sarcasm and she slammed the door. That night, Scarlet was in a crowded bar with Belinda sitting beside her. Scarlet was drunk from shots as she couldn’t get Mogue and Sven out of her head. Belinda noticed, “They really got to you, didn’t they?” She asked. “Sure did.” Scarlet replied. “Geez! I can’t seem to get those bastards out of my head.” Belinda seemed worried for Scarlet, “Scar? Come on, let me take you back to Truant Wave.” She said. “No, I’m fine.” Scarlet insisted. “You had three shots, two whiskeys, and five lagers. It’s time you call it a night, I don’t want you to suffer from alcohol poisoning.” Replied Belinda. Scarlet sighed, she puts her drink down and wobbles up to her feet. Belinda helped her up as the two girls walked but while trying to leave, Scarlet groaned: “Aw no! What the hell is he doing here?” She asked. Belinda looked and she frowned. There was a timid young man in a hoodie, jeans, and sneakers as he approached Scarlet and Belinda. “Hey ladies, mind if I buy you a drink?” The man asked. “Ugh, as if my night couldn’t get any worse.” Scarlet moaned. “How about dinner? My treat.” The man persisted. “Look, what’s ya name….Stan? Stanley?” Scarlet inquired, forgetting his name. “Yes, Stanley Kent.” The young man said excitedly. “Look Stan, I had too much to drink and I’m ready to call it a night and I told you, I’m not interested.” Scarlet said. “But Scarlet…” Stan protested. “No buts, just listen. Have a good night.” Scarlet scolded. “I got my biggest promotion and I wanted to celebrate.” Stan begged. “Go home, Stan. Take a hint, she’s not into you.” Belinda elucidated. Stan was enraged; he seized Scarlet and pulled her in. Scarlet, which she now sobered up pretty quickly, was scared out of her wits. “I try to do well and this is the thanks I get?! NO WAY IN HELL ANYONE IS GOING TO TAKE HER FROM ME AGAIN!!!!” shouted Stan. “Stan, let go of me!” begged Scarlet. But that psycho won’t stop until he gets what he wants. That is until Stan is hit from behind, loosening his grip on Scarlet who looked up and saw who it was. “She said stop so back off!” Mogue demanded. Stan growled, “Why are you trippin’?! She’s just shy; she knows she wants me oh so badly.” Mogue laughed at him, “Don’t hold your breath.” He remarked. “If she did want you, then you wouldn’t be the first loser for trying.” Mogue turned to Scarlet, “You OK?” He asked. “Just take me back, I’m so exhausted.” Scarlet begged. She, Belinda, Mogue, and Sven walked out but they didn’t noticed that Stan watched them with vicious eyes of hatred. The next morning, Scarlet woke up with a throbbing headache and turned on her side to see Mogue there. “You all right?” He asked. Scarlet looked at him, “What are you doing here?” She asked. “Waiting for you to wake up, Jaro says you need to eat a little. And also, you never mention that you had about three shots, two whiskeys, and five lagers.” Mogue replied. Scarlet rolled her eyes, “Look…I’m going through issues right now, a lot on my mind.” She claimed. Mogue knelt beside her, “I know. We all do but you have to promise me something.” He said. Scarlet glanced at him, “What is it?” She asked. “Promise me you won’t drink that much again.” Mogue said. Scarlet looked at him, “You are the biggest dork I have ever met. And Sven looks like a combination of a Viscount and Leblac Diablo.” She said. “Don’t tell him I said that.” Mogue managed to chuckle at that, “OK. I won’t.” He said. “All right, fine. I promise I won’t drink that much.” Scarlet moaned, “I’ll be out OK?” She said. Mogue nodded and left. Once he was gone, Scarlet glanced up at the ceiling where the sunrays cast out on the ceiling. Mogue’s concerns bugged Scarlet, she could not understand why he cares so much. It just doesn’t make any sense. It didn’t take too long; Scarlet walked out of her room and closed the door behind her. Jaro was reading the newspaper but he didn’t look up however he said, “Ah. You’ve awakened; guess a hard night of drinking can’t keep you down, can it?” Scarlet took her seat and greeted Jaro, “Good morning to you, Leroy.” She looked down to see a plate full of strawberries. “The hell is this? You call this breakfast? What, no eggs or bacon?” Scarlet asked. “Well, I just thought this would help. And besides, strawberries are an aphrodisiac food, maybe you should pick the codename ‘Strawberry Fields’. How does that sound?” teased Jaro. Scarlet let out a sort of ‘hmph’ sound and commented with, “As if!” While she ate, her mouth was completely around it as if she was enjoying and swallowing it in one gulp. She kept doing this until she noticed Jaro watching her. “You sound like you’re savoring in it. Moaning like it’s the best thing you’ve eaten. It must be good.” He said with a smile. Scarlet narrowed her eyes and pushed her food away. “Thank you so much for ruining my appetite.” Jaro just laughed a little. Just then, a loud boom and the wall were crashed down. Gunfire went off as everyone got ready in position but all they heard was, “CALLING ALL TRUANT WAVE, CLEAR THE WAY BABY, CLEAR THE AIR OF THE WAVE FOR YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE HAS ARRIVED!!!” Out approached a troubling fellow with a Mohawk, punk clothes of a vest and a T shirt, sneakers, jeans, and a spiked choker. But this guy was so loud, obnoxious. “Well, well, what have we here? This is the Truant Wave? Oooh, I’m so petrified. So, this is where my Little Red Riding Hood has been hiding out huh? Her two huntsmen saved her from the Big Bad Wolf? And Lady Snow Virgo escapes? I gotta say, you thought this would be the last time you heard of me but you were wrong. I mean, you know Scarlet…” His face softens for a bit. “….I always loved you….” Said the guy. Scarlet gasped in horror, “Stan? Stanley Kent, is that you?” She asked. The troubled, sinister man responds back: “The name is not STAN!!!! I AM NOW STAGGER LEE!!!! And don’t you forget it. All I was trying to do was for you to like me but then these two losers came along and ruined everything. Some low-life once said, ‘Don’t hold your breath. If she did want you, then you wouldn’t be the first loser for trying.’ Remember that you son of a bitch?” Stagger Lee shouted. Mogue looked at him, “Hey man…I was joking, I don’t know anyone else who is stalking her. If I did, Jaro would probably track them all.” He assured him. Stagger Lee laughed, “Lies! You lie, you stupid bastard! Anyone who wants some hot red head like her is free to bang her if they wanted to.” He shouted. “Stan, listen…I hardly know them but they saved me from you so I’m putting my trust in them. That’s all I have to say.” Scarlet declared to him. Stagger Lee would not listen as his delusions got the best of him until Jaro came behind and used a taser to stop him. Stagger Lee cried out in pain and he managed to escape. But he was going to get payback against Truant Wave, but mostly towards Mogue Furey and Sven Baxter. One way or another, he will get back at them. During that entire catastrophe he started; Stagger Lee came from behind and held Scarlet hostage, “I did all this so I can have Scarlet all to myself.” He cried out, “You want me Truant Wave? Come and get me!” He dragged Scarlet away. Scarlet talk to him in confrontation: “Mogue and Sven, it’s about them isn’t it?” She asked. “They interfere with every damn thing around you.” Stagger Lee claimed. “You’re crazy!” Scarlet remarked. “Oh, am I?” Stagger Lee joked, laughing a little insane. “Look, there’s nothing going on between me and those two.” Scarlet said. “Liar, Liar….Panties on fire!!!! You bitch, I don’t believe on every word you say!” Stagger Lee hollered, holding a knife at her. Scarlet looked at the knife more closely, “Where the hell did you get that knife?” She asked. Stagger Lee’s face turned white, “I—I don’t know what you mean….What knife?” He stammered. “I remember that knife, Oh god…I don’t believe this!” gasped Scarlet. Mogue and Sven were listening in as they were hiding out to try and sneak attack towards Stagger Lee and save her life. But they heard Stagger Lee say, “Scarlet…I can explain.” Then, there was a screech and Scarlet shouted of her past: “WHERE ARE THEY?! ARE YOU WITH THEM?!” Stagger Lee sounded scared, “I…I don’t hang out with those jerks!” He declared. “Do you have any idea what they done to me? Violate me! Torture me! Made me killed my cousin Kiki!” Scarlet shouted. Mogue and Sven were shocked, they realized that’s why Scarlet never really trusted anyone and back at that bar where everyone was screaming while they fled in fright. Mogue and Sven saved Scarlet from getting hurt. Together they took out Stagger Lee and knocked him out. After Stagger Lee was taken out, Mogue and Sven asked her about if this was why she was like this. Scarlet was shocked that they heard everything and she says that she was once told by her tormentors about ‘survival of the witness’ and how her cousin Kiki was the ‘prey’ on the lower part of the food chain. Mogue apologize, Scarlet does not believe him as she thinks he’s pretending to care. But Mogue claims he wasn’t pretending: “I understand, Scar. My dad left when I was five, I remember crying like a baby as his car was driving away. My mom picked me up and hugged me. Bullies pushed me around for being fat. But look at me; I look better all thanks to Jaro’s serum he gave me, curing me of being fat. I’m now lean, muscular, a girl’s dream guy. But deep down, there were many things I struggle; I couldn’t get my dad back. I remember seeing Mom crying, and I promised myself that I would never abandon anyone no matter how hard life gets.” He said. “And also, I would make Mom the happiest woman on the planet. Despite all this, I need you Scar.” Mogue’s last part of his words made Scarlet shocked. She had to turn away as she felt the tears streaming down her face. However, Sven also joined in: “We need you more than anything. Truant Wave needs you, we need you. You are our own chance of survival. Neither of us is going to give up, who cares what those bastards say? Friends are your only chance of survival.” He said. Scarlet’s mind moaned pleasurably but outside, she was crying of happy tears. She never felt so loved. She turned back around and embraced Mogue and Sven. “Nobody has ever said that! You guys are awesome. I promise that I’ll be nicer to you, OK? I’ll trust you even more. Thank you, you’re the best.” She blubbered. Since that day, she was true to her word as she begins to bond well in her trust with these two.
Scarlet helps Mogue to find his mother after hearing him talk in his chamber alone. She heard him saying in an emotional distraught voice that made her heart bleed: “Mother, where are you mom? I miss you mother.” However, Levon told Mogue that Selena’s real name is Hilary Kimball because of the fact that she and her family were part of a secret service program as Hilary’s father had did a dangerous case that nearly killed him so he and his family were under protection with different names. Mogue didn’t want to believe it until Levon showed him proof. Later, Mogue confronted her about it and Hilary confirms the truth. “You could’ve told me.” Protested Mogue. Hilary looked away with a humiliated look, “About this? I was ashamed.” She said. “Of what? Your family in danger by a stalking killer?” Mogue pointed out. Hilary scrunched her face up, she looked like she was going to cry. “You have no idea how many people rejected me so many times. How many times I’ve been an idiot and nearly close to death.” She said. “You told somebody?” Mogue asked. Hilary nodded, “When I was younger, I told friends but they thought I was making things up and I got trouble almost. I was just a kid, I didn’t know and I got a lot of regret on me.” She explained. Mogue felt bad for her as he reached for her while saying, “Babe…” Hilary pushed him away, “No, don’t touch me! Everyone I love, touch or get close, dies on me.” She said and left. Later; Scarlet and the others were searching the places to find Mogue’s mother. During that time; Scarlet's hands were tied behind her back in a quick motion, she was a hostage and she had her head bowed. "Nobody moves or the woman goes down!" said the thug. "You wouldn't!" Mogue called out. The first thug laughed, "Oh trust me, nothing says more than seeing you all burn like anyone else would!" said the leader. The others snickered. This was it, this was the end of the line.....Or was it? Scarlet snapped! She lunged at her captors and fought the gang, blood sprayed out but they weren't dead. Scarlet cried out, "BASTARDS!!!! YOU'RE ALL BASTARDS, BLIGHT, INFECTED WITH GRIME AND DOUR!!!!! More blood was splattered on her suggestive body but she didn't care, she wasn't going to stop until men like them were dead. But they weren't and they couldn't stop Scarlet. Just then, Scarlet and the others sensed that someone was coming, she instructed everyone to hide or someone will find them. She quickly hid in the dark as she jumped at the sound of marching footsteps--Like an army or something. "What a dump." said a first. A second remarked, "Yeah. Looks like this place went to hell." "Hmm, hell. I have to agree with that." said a third. Scarlet was shaken with fear over this, "What to do? What to do? How to get out of this?" She thought. Just then, she heard a soft snarl and peeks out to see a creature. It was going after the people, surprise attack. "Oh crap, what do I do now?" wondered Scarlet. She had no other choice, she had to save them. She quietly hid in the shadows as Scarlet sneaks behind the creature and she wrestles with it before incinerate it. Scarlet panted and panted however she felt someone's hand on her shoulder. With her eyes widened with fear, she turned around, "Wow, did you do all this?" He asked. Scarlet pulled out her staff and stabbed him but she pierced his shoulder instead. The guy looked at where he had been hit. "Does it hurt?" asked Scarlet, staring at him. "Nope." said the guy, and then he throbbed her. Hard. Scarlet cried out in pain at how much it hurt. "Crazy son of a bitch!" She cried, "Why the hell would you do that?!" The guy snickered, but stops when he heard Scarlet moaned softly as she grinned while saying, "Actually...I kind of liked it." This guy was impressed by this girl and lent out his hand, "Kirigakure Saizō, nice to meet you." He introduced. "Well Kirigakure, it's time to know your place." Scarlet said. She pulled out her harpoon weapon with a sharp point to it. Just then; Mogue steps in and explains the situation so it looks like these strangers were going to help Scarlet, teamwork was the way to survive in this madness. These guys are Sanada Ten Braves! The leader of this squad is Commander Yukimura Sanada. Vice commander is Lietutenant Sarutobi Sasuke, and the captain is Lieutenant Kirigakure Saizō. The other lieutenants include Miyoshi Seikai, Miyoshi 'Yoshiko' Isa, Anayama Kosuke, Unno Rokurō, Kakei Jūzo, Nezu Jinpachi, Mochizuki Rokurō, and Yuri Kamanosuke. Yukimura is a tall, muscular man with tan skin, spiky brown hair and a goatee. He usually shows of big heart. Yukimura is kind-hearted and trusting with his subordinates. Most of the members of the Ten Braves are fiercely loyal to him. Yukimura's nice-guy attitude is also his weakness as he never notices negative points about other people. He is honest, pure and unsullied. Everybody joined the Ten Braves so that they could be with Yukimura. The vice commander is Sarutobi is a very handsome and attractive man. He has short, dark green hair and gun-metal blue eyes. His usual attire is a uniform. Due to having to endure being hated by his other family members for being an illegitimate son, being indebted to his older brother, and having no place to belong, Sarutobi was an outsider. Despite this, he never stopped moving forward and aimed to become stronger because of his deep regret that he couldn't save his brother, and to protect the ones he loves. Feared by both his enemies and his underlings, Sarutobi the Fiendish Vice-Commander is very strict and dedicated to his work. He is also fiercely loyal to the Commander of the Ten Braves, Yukimura Sanada. Sarutobi has a strong sense of pride; he puts on a tough attitude, but is willing to help those in need. He has a stubborn streak, and does not like to reveal his weaknesses. He also veils his good or kind actions with exaggerated annoyance and agitation. And the captain is name Kirigakure appears to be a mild-featured young man with short light brown hair with jagged bangs and reddish brown eyes. He has an almost childlike innocent face as well as thin lips. Kirigakure's most proeminent trait in his personality is his sadistic side, an example of this being when he collared and chained up his enemies. He is shown to have an evil intention to any good things he does, and he is very blunt about his hatred towards Sarutobi. Despite this, Kirigakure is usually protective of the ones he cares for, such as his sister, Sakuya, and his commander, Yukimura. Kirigakure wants to become the vice commander of the Ten Braves, and as such, he always tries to harm Sarutobi, or to frame him for other misdemeanors in order to take his place. His attempts appear real enough that Sarutobi was afraid he won. The reason for Kirigakure's hate towards Sarutobi is that when they were at the training building, the latter always got the attention of Sanada and Sakuya and felt that he was left behind, and also because Sarutobi rejected his sister. However, Kirigakure starts to have respect for Sarutobi. Though Kirigakure often acts lazily and like to slack off his jobs, he in very attentive when needed and doesn't hesitate to kill or cut down his enemies. He is also very observant and is aware of things going on inside the political movements, as he is often the one explaining the situations to the enemy.
As she lead this squad alongside her team; Scarlet was a hot tempered, cranky, bitter, and loses her temper easily. She would be pouncing the others, grabbing his neck and try to strangle him. It would take a lot to restrain her however Scarlet would kick their keisters for touching her. Scarlet was on tension for some strange reason. That was when Mogue, Sven, and Lawrence were faced with Sven’s former mentor that oppressed him as well as the murderers that killed Jolene and her family. It was all a set up by Sven’s once-idolized hero name Janus Lisle, who got back at Sven for his rejection and now has Mogue’s mother as a hostage! Now learning to depend on their alter egos; Mogue, Sven, and Lawrence became one with them but they were still good people as they took them all down as they took the enemy’s weapons while Janus ran off! Everyone got their rifles ready and calls out, "I took down your zombies, Janus and got Mogue’s mom. Now it's just you, me and my boys. So why not come out and fight girl & boy to freak-show?" She sneaks around as she prepares for him but she felt her heart beating like crazy. However, Janus Lisle has been sneaking up and surprises Fortuna with his attacks. Fortuna fought back with her fully awakened powers; she fought back and had the upper hand of this battle. But the tables are turned, Janus Lisle is getting better but it isn't until her friends and the Sanada Ten Braves. Together, Scarlet and her new team takes down Janus Lisle for good. It turns out that Janus Lisle is related to Loki, being his abusive father. Fortuna decided to let him kill him. Janus Lisle begs for mercy but Loki refuses to listen and was about to take his life until Belinda managed to stop them as she told them that it wasn’t worth it. That’s when; someone took down Janus, Sven’s former mentor, and the killers who murdered Jolene and her family. Mogue was astounded to see Hilary but she looked different somehow! She wore a top, pants, choker, glovelets and belt. A choker with circular metal and enamel pendant with black combat boots. “Babe?” Mogue said, his eyes bulged in amazement. Hilary grinned happily as she said, “Knock, knock, Bear….Say hello to your new improved Selena Bell!” Mogue cracked a smile, “Nice outfit babe. You look great!” He bellowed. Everyone looked at him in confusion and their faces were suspicious. “You know this chick?” Bartel asked in disbelief. Mogue smiled a sheepish grin, “She’s my girlfriend.” He admits. Everyone was in disbelief, “GIRLFRIEND?!” They all said in unison. Lawrence couldn’t help but smile a bit, “Hm, I didn’t know she was this cute!” He said. Hilary just laugh at that comment, “Aww, how sweet!” She said. Mogue saw his mother and ran over to hug her, “Mom!” He exclaimed. His mother was overjoyed to see him, “Oh Mogue, I was so worried about you.” She said. Mogue smiled like a little energetic boy at his mother, “Me too, come on I want you to meet my girlfriend I was telling you about!” Scarlet watched Mogue from afar as he looked happy and content with his mother and Hilary. “He has a girlfriend? He never even told me!” She thought. Scarlet felt heartbroken, she trusted Mogue and she begin to have a crush on him however she finds out that he has a girlfriend. Scarlet managed to fake a smile as she introduced herself to Hilary but inside, she was hurting. That night; Scarlet came home to find Maxwell beating her aunt, Desiree—in front of the kids! “You stupid witch! You are nothing! Nothing!” Maxwell screamed. The children were cowering in fear as they were scared to do anything. Angered by this sight; Scarlet’s right arm became mangled flesh and she charged in as she brought down Maxwell with one slam to the ground. Scarlet was mad as she glared down at Maxwell with viciousness in her eyes. “You bitch! Who do you think you are doing this to me?” demanded Maxwell. “I am your curse filled with crimson of your blood. The next time you do this to my aunt, I will take you down and break your skull open, do you understand?! Don’t you ever lay a hand on my aunt in front of her children!” growled Scarlet. After Maxwell was arrested and comforting the scared yet crying children’ Scarlet helped his aunt as she tells her that Maxwell will do it again but Desiree insists Maxwell loves her however Scarlet look at her in the eyes as she explains: "Aunt Desiree you should remember the way Maxwell used you and abused you. How he told you were stupid or he couldn't even look at you anymore. How he said that you were crazy, how you couldn't do anything right and blames you for making him so angry. He pushed you in the hallway so it's enough to hurt you a little bit. He has booze from his breath, he lies so much. Maxwell would tell you he would never do it again, but he can't take it back. The proof of his abuse is right there on your skin, in your memories and your heart. Maxwell would sure come back and beg for you to forgive you. He wants you back but he keeps doing it! How his sisters call you a harlot, a hussy. Remember what hell he did, I know I did!"
After hearing this; Chris and Gloria were astonished to hear this so now they were to stay away from Scarlet! Meanwhile, Stephanie took down the undead monsters as she taunted at the beasts, “Ashes to dust! Ohh... I'm feeling weak - with hunger! They said you were dead. You must be--undead!" She then finished and got a call from her boss to come back. In the meantime; Scarlet was on a video phone call with her aunt to let her know everything was OK until Scarlet’s cousin was shouting in pain and Aunt Desiree yelling at him to calm down. Scarlet was trying not to laugh but the whole event was too funny that she couldn’t help it! Her cousin, Craig, "Pricklies got me, mommy! Man down, man down! The darkness is closing in! I'm so cold." He said dramatically. Aunt Desiree scolded at him, "Will you hold still, you big baby?" Then, Craig let out a mirthful, staged Wilhelm cry: “Ahhhhhahahahaha!” Aunt Desiree said seriously but it sounded so side splitting that cracked Scarlet up, "I didn't even touched it yet."
