Shatter Me 2: Song of the Caged Bird

My darlings! I decided to make a sequel of the story same title as the of Lindsey Stirling which is from the same titled album, Shatter Me. People--My viewers--I present to you.....Shatter Me 2: Song of the Caged Bird is here! Enjoy! Song of the Caged Bird came is referenced from Lindsey Stirling as well. I hope she's reading this.  --KatDon

When they were kids; Heyoka, Kali, and Lleu were taking a walk one day when Jack begins to wince at a throbbing headache, which was cause by the vision of a girl. He couldn't see the girl clearly in his head. But he saw a glimpse of the vision of her flowing dark hair, the curve of her lip, and her pink parasol. The throbbing pain stopped when the three friends saw a girl their age was skipping with a pink parasol and smiling heartrendingly at them. She wore a white shirt dress long enough to reach her knees and wearing no shoes. Her name is Justine Storm. She is tragic, tortured and misunderstood. As a 15 year old girl; Justine  was lonely, shy and timid around others as she had no confidence. A fractured young soul, in need of support and love. But when she was abused and tortured; she became a cold-blooded killer to the wicked. She turned homicidal, sadistic, and destructive nature to those that hurt her. When Justine  was a child; she lost her father when she was a child and her cruel mother Theresa remarried to a depraved, dominant, and oppressive man that became her stepfather name Joseph Vasilis. Theresa change her name from Theresa Storm to Theresa Vasilis. Joseph used to chain her up, as instructed by Theresa who was fanatically pious, she speaks with religious overtones but her motives were malevolent and believed everything in the world was considered 'unclean'. She wore a dark grey ceremonial dress and headdress with white roses, crucifixes, and wore no shoes but rather slippers.

Joseph was a presumed as a fanatic pious man that was a ruse to her in order not to be abused by her. He is a malicious, and aggressive man with overtones of conniving, cruel, and verbally abuses Justine and tormenting her. Theresa was aware of the abuse however she didn't do anything as she wanted her daughter to be 'cleansed of sin'. Joseph was hungry for admiration, power, obedience and chivalric honor. When Joseph was told to chain up Justine, he seemed to have a sadistic side as he was delighted to be alone with her. "You think you can hurt me, I don't think you can escape with those chains Little Lady." said Joseph. Justine glares up at her stepfather, "Chains are nothing, I've been abused before. It's no big." She insisted. Joseph pulled out a syringe and smiled in a sinister way as he said, "That's nothing, compared what I'm going to do to you." Justine looked horrified as her screams were the only thing that echoed in the house. Justine was now a 'monster', a Sigbin, where she was shunned by her mother sometimes when she became this way but Justine learn to control her power. She made friends in elementary name Lear Swann and his younger sister Eva. Even their mother Eliza who treated Justine very kindly. Lear, Eva, and Eliza were shocked to learn what had happened with her life and her new life as a Sigbin hybrid but they want to report Theresa and Joseph for the abuse and trouble. Joseph found out as he told Theresa, which they both plan to kill her. But while Justine was at school; she and her friends are given a shocking message that something was wrong at home.

They hurried back home, Justine enters the house but is stunt to find their mother struggling against Theresa. She looks to see her children, “Everything’s going to be OK. Just don’t look.” “Mom!” Eva cried but their mother shake her head, “Kids, listen to me....Remember that grenade--Just pull the top and throw it at the wall!” She said. Tears welled in their eyes, Justine cried out, “Eliza! Don't do this, please!”  "Listen to me, Justine, Just go, RUN!” screamed Eliza. Theresa stabbed a knife into Eva and Lear's mother, who gasped while Theresa panted as she looked content at the deed had been done. Eva and Lear was motionless, frozen, their mother was lifeless now as she bled to death. They were pulled away by Justine, who took the grenade, pulled the pin, and threw it at the wall. Justine felt so guilty for not saving their mother, which was the most unsettling mental wound. She would do anything to pay them back one day. However in a few years when they were young teens; Eva and Lear offered to go after Theresa and Joseph, Justine refused however Eva begs so Justine decided to trust her to go. That was a tragedy she'd never forget. She reached over where Theresa and Joseph, they were gone but a body was among them. It was Lear as well as Eva, who died earlier before Lear. They were on the ground, bleed profusely. Justine couldn't believe it, "Lear! Eva!" She cried, rushing over to them. She grasped onto Lear's hand, "Come on. Stay with me, you guys will be fine....I'l get you a doctor soon enough." Justine said. Lear opened his eyes, he smiled. "I'm sorry. I thought...I thought I was doing you a favor." He said. Justine trembled, "Yes. You were." She said. "That's good. We love you, you are our best friend." whispered Lear. He closed his eyes, and with that, he died. Justine couldn't believe it, she bowed her head. He was gone, they both were, her best friends were dead.

Upset, Justine confronted Joseph. They fought off against each other. But Justine got the best of him, Joseph was pinned to the ground. "This is the end for you." said Justine. "Oh really? You weren't so sure of yourself? Well, it won't be peaceful for you for long." taunted Joseph, "You are nothing, you couldn't be strong enough to save your peers in that massacre. You couldn't save your dearest friends, nor their sweet mother when your mother killed her!" Justine shuttered, she couldn't believe it and she lost control of herself. She begin to turn into a Sigbin and killed him violently while screaming hysterically. When she snapped out of it, Justine was shocked as she saw that her hands were dripping with blood. She begins to cry uncontrollably, she thought she lose consciousness. About a few years later; Justine was in school but she hated it; she was always bullied there every day. From her childhood to her young teens. In elementary; Justine saw a bunch of kids playing and she approaches them, saying: "Hi guys." The kids stare at her before bursting out laughing and walking away. Justine was hurt by the harsh rejection as she bowed her head. Another time she was playing an innocent game of tag when three bullies throw tennis balls at him hard and one of them grabbed his wrists but a teacher caught them and rescues Young Justine. The bullies are punished for what they done. Middle school wasn't any better, she was bullied for her perfect writing skills and one of the friends she trusted spread a rumor that Justine was writing about the 'hottest boys' when the actually truth was Justine was writing only about other matters but it was too painful to admit.

Justine tried to get help from her teachers, only one help but another ignored her as he had cotton balls in his bushy ears. But he  explained that the staff wasn't trained to do things like that. There's no love for her. Everybody had hurt her, hated her, resented her, destroyed her almost, and try to make her fade away in obscurity. However one of the former bullies name Juliette 'Julie' Masos takes pity on Justine and turned to her nice friends she now hangs out with to befriend Justine. It worked as Justine became very close to the four friends she made. At a festival; Justine, who was having a blast with friends:  Connor Lohengrin, Fiachra Helias, Aiden Gareth, and Nuala Elijah. Just then, unexpected visitors crashed the party with loaded guns and started a massacre. They shot at other people who fell to the floor. Panic filled everyone else, they try to flee but some were shot in the process. "Connor! Fiachra! Aiden! Nuala!" called Justine. "Justine!" Fiachra called. "Justine, where are you?!" hollered Connor. She went over but looked on in horror as her friends were wounded, almost dead. She noticed that Aiden was panting of the wound bleeding from there as he cries out, "Ohhh, the pain." He noticed Justine there and calls out, "Get away from here!" "Save yourself Justine!" Nuala called out, "Get away from here!" However they were all shot at as Justine screamed with terror. She was shot too, in her thigh, and it took awhile for her to recover. While resting up for awhile, Justine's sanity begin to slip like crazy over the tragedy as she thought about the people that she lost. As she was recovering; Nella Hale and Cloud Hagel came by to check on Justine but instead they taunt her, explaining the awful truth: They admitted that they were the ones that killed her four best friends.

Justine felt foolish, she was heaved with sadness and anger that she turned into her Sigbin form, screaming: "WHY?! WHY IS EVERYONE I LOVE IS KILLED?! WHY?!" Nella and Cloud tried to flee from her but it was no use, they were already killed. Later, Justine sat as she looked at Nella and Cloud's bodies. Justine confronted Abigail Sturmaz and Squall Tormenta as she pulled out a gun and begin to shoot at different objects in the room they were in. Justine begin to shriek with tears pooling out of her eyelids, "EVERYTHING YOU TOLD ME WAS A LIE!!!!" Abigail and Squall  were scared, they never seen her this way and they were so frightened of not knowing what might happen. Justine pointed at the couple with her gun, "You--all of you! You killed them! My best friends! Nella and Cloud told me everything! EVERYTHING!!!!! Well, those bastards got what was coming for them!" claimed Justine. Abigail stared at her with fear, "What did you do them, you freak?" She demanded. "I GOT RID OF THEM!!!!!!" Justine screamed, she dropped her gun and turned into a Sigbin as she slaughtered them both. In her rage; she went back to home where her mother was not back yet. However, she went to the forbidden box that her mother told her not to open. But Justine lifted the lid nearly upright and looked inside. It seemed as if a sudden swarm of inhuman creatures brushed past her, taking flight out of the box, while at the same instant she heard her mother calling in pain. "Ohhhhh, it's them!' Theresa cried, "You naughty girl! Why have you opened the box?" Justine let fall the lid and looked about her to see what was happening to her mother. The thundercloud had so darkened the room that she could not very clearly see what was in it.

But she heard a growl of monstrosity. Then, there was the slashing and the ripping. It was a squeamish noise. Justine dared not to look but she flung herself upon the floor and rested her head there. She was sobbing as if her heart would break. Suddenly there was a gentle tap on her skin. "What can that be?" thought Justine, lifting her head. "Who are you?" asked Justine. "Why are you, poking me?" A sweet voice spoke to her: "Wake up, it's me. Julie." said the voice. "No, no," answered Justine, again beginning to sob, "I have had enough of you people! You are horrible creatures and you should stay away from me!" "I'm not like my friends. Come on, Pretty Justine! I am sure you will let me in." Julie said gently. So Justine got back up as Julie healed her wound which stung her, and immediately the pain was gone. Then she kissed Justine on the forehead, and her hurt was also cured. "Will you stay with me," asked Justine, "forever and ever?" "As long as you need me," said Julie with a smile, "I promise I'll never leave you. There may be times now and then when you will think that I have left you. But again, and again, and again, when perhaps you least dream of my being with you, you shall see the glimmer on you for I am your only hope, the only hope that was left in the box." In the present; Justine may have attributes of kindness towards Julie, who became her caretaker, but Justine somehow became a different person.

She was hardheaded, passionate and impulsive however she possesses great amounts of selflessness, perseverance, fortitude, and a vigorous determination. Justine has traits of a clever, intelligent and quick-witted young lady with a sharp tongue. She is shown to be ruthless, cynical however her inner feelings show she is depressed, traumatized, tortured, mentally unstable and constantly haunted by the memories of her past. Her skeptical nature is where she is abrasive and unapproachable but always delivered in deadpan. She speaks in brash and insulting manner, to those that irritate her or try to provoke her. As a Sigbin, like Heyoka, Justine is savage, bloodthirsty, and all-round uncontrollable. She even shows a more sadistic and vindictive side to her to want to kill the ones that enjoy tormenting the innocence, similar to her past. But has a softer side of care greatly for those that are innocent and does not killed the guiltless, kind, and good nature people. She doesn't want to be like her mother or stepfather, or any of the tormentors in her life. Later; Justine was carrying flowers of lilies, carnations, and poppies to visit the memorial sites of Lear, Eva, Eliza, Fiachra, Conner, Aiden, and Nuala. She placed them there, then he brushed the leaves away and starts to speak: "Hi guys. I came to see you, I'm sorry I was busy for awhile. I know, it's crazy." She paused.

She thought about the day where she failed to save them. Then, she felt like crying. "I...I should've listened, I just thought I was doing the right thing. I didn't.....I can't blame Abigail or her friends, it's my fault too. I wish I could go back and change it, save all of you. But I know I can't." said Justine. She bowed her head as she wrapped her arms around herself, shivered in the cold wind. "I miss you so much....Conner, I miss the way that you were neutral whenever we argued. Fiachra, your leadership really was the heart everything since they don't call you third in command for nothing. You were a true friend too.....Aiden, you and your big mouth--Heh.....But you had a big heart. You may not care but I do.....You were always aloof, talking like you knew everything." said Justine, chuckling a little but he softens up, ".....But you were like a guide, helping me. The same with Nuala, thank you for welcoming me into the squad for the first day. And...To all of you, I--I really appreciate it, Nuala." A tear rolled down her cheek, she wiped it away and covered her eyes with one hand but more tears were cascading down more and more. "I don't know, should I say I'm sorry? Should I?" She said sobbingly. Justine bent to the ground, sniffing and crying so nobody can hear it. Justine was haunted by memories of Eliza, Eva, Lear, Conner, Fiachra, Nuala, and Aiden as she wept bitterly until sh found a girl sketching and leaning her back on a tree.

Justine spies on her behind a tree, but her breath was soft and heavy which startled the girl. She turned around but Justine already ran. She ran and hid behind a tall tree however someone sneaking and startled her, "Ah-Ha!" Justine gasped, tripped backwards and fell. There was a laugh, saying: "Works every time!" The young man looked down at her, "Well. You're the stalker, are you besotted with the fair lady?" He joked. Justine shook her head, she duck down so no one can't tell if she's crying. That reminded her of what her best friend Lear. "I'm sorry, I was interested in her drawing...That's all!" sniffled Justine. "Down Shango, chill out!" The young lady scolded, she approached Justine with a smile. "Don't mind him, he's just being...." She stopped to notice Justine was crying as she looked concern, "Hey, are you OK?" The girl asked. Justine sniffed, wiping her tears and composing herself. "It's nothing--really!" She blubbered insistently. "Nice one, Shango!" A voice called out. Justine didn't hear the banter, she was focused on the four. They looked very familiar. Conner. Fiachra. Aiden. And Nuala. "It can't be, can it? They look like them!" Justine thought, tears clouding her vision. The four of them she met were strangers to her but they look like Conner, Fiachra, Aiden, and Nuala. The one who looked alike of Conner is name Saruta Aer, the one who looked like Fiachra is Namtose Terra, the third is Triath Ignis who looked like Aiden, and the one who looked like Nuala is Adelaide Aquam. Adelaide and the others escorted the emotionally disturbed Justine back to the cottage and she decided to help them out. While cleaning a sharp knife, she had cut her wrist by accident and begin screaming when she bleeds. "HELP ME!!!" She yelled hysterically, "I'M DYING!!!! I'M DYING!!!!" She was waving her bleeding wrist, Namtose heard her and called for help. No more than two seconds later, Justine was being treated for her wounds as Adelaide had some pretty good medical skills. During the process; Adelaide managed to heal the wounds but Justine was squealing from the stinging pain so Saruta had to hold her while Adelaide soothing comforts her and heals her wounds.

In the meantime; Eris, Heyoka, Kali, Lleu, Janus, Etain, Tyr, Ramses, Esther, Nancy, and Commander Ruiter were patrolling in Hy-Brasil. Slaying Sigbins, left and right--the whole battlefield was crazy! "There's too many of them, sir!" Eris called. "Keep pushing a little more, only three percent remain." Commander Ruiter instructed. "Roger that, we're almost there!" hollered Lleu. He turned to Eris and said, "Hang in there, Eris. We're almost there." Eris nodded, She can't give up now--fighting to survive, push and push. No matter what, never surrender. Run, fight, for the sake of survival here and now! Never stopping, panting out of breath but she did not ceased until the Sigbins are all slaughtered. Once it was over, victory came about for Morgenstern Order, the name of Commander Ruiter's military unit. Eris was out of breath as the others, she was tired as she almost passed out but Heyoka caught her along with Kali and Lleu, they escorted her back to the base of the Order. Commander Ruiter praised everyone for their hard work today but some noticed Eris was not present however the commander, Ramses, and Nancy knew where. In one of the cabins; Eris was asleep as Heyoka, Kali, and Lleu watched her. While Heyoka and Kali talk; Lleu looked around and gasped at the sight of a girl Heyoka's age. She has a white dress and dark brown hair. But the girl went away quickly, Heyoka and Kali heard their friend gasp. "What's wrong, Lleu?" Kali asked. Lleu looked at his friends who are concern for him. But Lleu laughed nervously, "Nothing, just thought I saw something. Must be my imagination getting the best of me." He assured them but he wonders what it might be. In the meantime at night; Tyr and Janus looked up at the dark sky with diamond like stars twinkling about up there. "Man, look at the stars. I wonder how many there are." said Janus. "Who knows." guessed Tyr with a shrug, "A million, maybe a billion." "Wow, that's amazing." replied Janus. Tyr seems different since he lost Varuna and he was doing hid best to do better, to be a better man that is. Janus was shocked over what he saw in Eris and wonders if she's going to do better.

But they were both tired as they decided to get some rest but they stop in their tracks to hear singing. It sounded like that song Eris played about three hundred and fifteen times, "Somebody shine a light, I'm frozen by the fear in me. Somebody make me feel alive, And shatter me! So cut me from the line. Dizzy, spinning endlessly. Somebody make me feel alive, And shatter me!" repeated over and over again. Tyr and Janus were dizzy by the singing as they decide to get some sleep in their cabins tonight. While everyone slept; The person that was singing, it was a girl with dark brown hair and wearing white. It was a strapless, flowing dress and wears no shoes on her feet. This girl was known as Pandora. She looks over at Heyoka who slept so peacefully. She walked over and wrapped her arms around him. Caressing his hair as she whispered, "So, the beast sleeps tonight. In the army, this mighty army....Is where these warriors have traits of swift, force, strength, and mysteriousness about themselves." The girl watched as Heyoka's chest rise slowly up and down as he slept. "He may sleep like a human but I know he has a burning red fury within that body of his." rasped the girl softly. Then, she leaves Heyoka for a moment to look over at Eris and said, "And you...Once I destroy you....Once you are out of the picture, Heyoka is mine! All mine, he won't be a pet of you anymore." The girl muttered quietly. But she hits the sides of her temples as she said in a soft groan, "Urrrgggh!" She calms down by telling herself in a soothing voice, "OK, OK. I'm fine, I'm all right."

Pandora left as she turned out to be Kresnik just like Heyoka but there's something more unstable in the head about her. A vengeful girl with desire of revenge. Hatred. All in her system. She wore a one shoulder dress made out mangled flesh and blood at elbow length while blood seeping among her bare feet. Her irises were red of an inflamed rage and her hair was white as snow as well as her skin complexion. She used her bloody, wraithlike disembodied hands to take out the other Sigbins without remorse. She is chased by Heyoka, Kali, Lleu, Tyr, and Ramses as they sprung a trap on her; kidnapping Pandora. Later, Pandora's wrists were bound over her head as Morgenstern kept watch over her. Ramses glared down at her, "Well hello Pandora. Anybody there? I know you can hear my voice. Tell us who you are and maybe we can spare you mercy--If you are willing to cooperate." He said. Pandora glared back at him but didn't reply. Ramses looked over at the girl, she was so innocent with blood splattered among her. Red and white contrast with one another, red for impurity and white for vestal, this girl was among rage and pure at the same time. She looked so angry and also hiding her emotions so much. Captain Ramses was misunderstood over the purpose about pawing the other soldiers' minds as well as fondling with their emotions. "Why the hell would she do that? What was the meaning into that?" wondered Siegfried. Pandora turned away from him but Ramses seized her jaw, squeezed her cheeks so hard and forced her to look at him. "Don't you dare look away from me, look at me right in the eyes and tell us who you are." demanded Ramses, "You think any of us don't know who are. By the time their done with you, I can't wait to see you burn like a witch tied to a stake. Now, I'm going to ask you this one more time--Who. Are. You?" Pandora was quiet and responded in a creepy yet ethereal voice so inhuman and so beautiful that it was chilling too. "I can't explain myself, Captain. You see, I'm not myself. But who cares for you anyway, you are nothing but a deck of cards."

Then she opened her mouth as it looked unhinged and let out a diabolic cry from her maw and Sigbins came as they free the creature lady while trying to ambush the Morgenstern Order, who overpower them. Pandora was gliding away but she stumbled upon Lleu and smiled with delight, "Hello Fair-haired mutton." She said with a purr. Lleu jumped but then he realized that Pandora looked familiar, "You're that girl who spied on me." He said. Pandora looked surprised as the others looked curious as they tried to trap her again but Pandora slipped passed them and escaped so fast that the rest of the squad lost sight of her. Suddenly, there was a lost soul that needed to be saved and the commander managed to find Adelaide and the others. "Can I help you sir?" Adelaide asked. Commander Ruiter smiled sadly as he said, "You may please. I am Commander Ruiter, a young lady name Leda Nettle is in a deep depression over the lost of her lover Conner and I need someone to help her. If any of you agree, you can save her." He looked around when Saruta and replied, "I'll do it." Commander Ruiter  smiled happily, "Thank you." He said. Saruta smiled nodding. Later, he head towards the house by the lake. He knocked on the door and waited. In a few seconds, a woman with blonde hair and blue eyes answered. She looked so pretty that Saruta lost focused. But he remembered what he was here for. "Hello? Are you Leda?" asked Saruta. The woman, Leda, looked at him suspiciously. "Who are you?" She asked. Saruta introduced himself, "I'm Saruta, Commander Ruiter sent me here to help you." He explained but Leda refused as she begin to resent him and did not want to talk to him. "I don't care where you came from, I didn't ask for a so-called doppelgänger." She said and that was that. But during his time to try to help Leda; Saruta can see her hurting heart and about her deceased lover, Conner. Curious; Saruta went to talk to Leda, "Who was Conner? What was he like?" He asked. Leda was hesitant for a moment and then she finally spoke, "He was my lover, we loved each other and one day...The day he was leaving; he told me that he didn't know when he was coming back. We argued about it, I was so mad that I said, 'I wouldn't wait for a liar I was in bed with.' Now I wish I could take it back."

While she spoke; tears spring out of her eyes; she was so upset while speaking of him that Saruta embraced her. "I'm sorry, it must've been hard on you to lose the love of your life." He said. Leda was stunt by his kindness as Saruta begin to pull away gently to look at the pretty woman. Leda smiled watery, "Thank you for comforting me, I appreciated that for a reason." She said. Saruta looked at her confused, "What?" He asked. Leda giggled, "Sorry but...You remind me of Conner." She said. Saruta was un-surprised as he laughed, "That's not the first time I heard that." He admitted. He and Leda laughed but Leda burst into tears however Saruta comfort her. While the two of them spent time together; Saruta was overcome with Leda's beauty. When he came beside her that night; Leda seem to question his interactions. "You're beautiful, Leda." muttered Saruta, leaning over at her. "Saruta..." Leda gasped, the two of them kissed softly. Leda pulled away, that liplock was familiar and wrapped her arms around his neck so tight with love. "Could you stay with me? And never leave me?" She asked softly. "I swear, I'll never leave you--Ever." whispered Saruta. He couldn't deny it, he was in love with Leda. The next morning, Leda was wrapped in sheets. But Saruta was clothed but he watched her sleep. He gently shook her shoulder as he said quietly, "Wake up, beautiful." "Hhhmmmgggg..." groaned Leda. She turned over but Saruta shook her tenderly again, "Rise and shine, angel." He said. Leda turned again and open her eyes as she stretched and yawned. "Good morning." Saruta said. Leda looked at him tiredly but she remembered something. "Oh!" She gasped, covering herself with the sheets. She is not wearing anything other than those and looked down from the bed as she saw her clothes are on the floor. Blushing like a petunia, "We didn't, did we?" Leda breathed. Saruta chuckled a little, "But we did. A little too fast right? I mean, 'us'? Last night? It was pretty crazy and too quick." He said. Leda sighed as she fell back on the pillow. "Yeah, crazy. It's been awhile since I felt so lively like that." She said, thoughtfully.

Saruta grinned at her with amatory, "Was I good?" He asked. Leda blushed a dark pink, "In a way, yes..." She said. Saruta and Leda both laugh but Leda looked at him with tearful eyes. "Conn, it is you." thought Leda. Justine appeared timidly as she walked on. Lleu's eyes widened in horror as he rasped, "It's you!" Kali glanced at him, "What?" She asked. "Excuse me, sir?" Justine said, acting all innocent. "You're the girl that was spying on me and my friends!" insisted Lleu, confronting her. Justine was scared but masked it to look reserved and jumped away from him a little, "I don't know you, sorry." She said innocently, "You got me confused with someone else." But it seemed Lleu was no fool as he continued to jab out a finger at her, "No, I know what you look like--Raven hair, sallow complexion. You're not completely human now are you?" He said. "Lieutenant?" The commander asked. "Get this madman away from me!" Justine begged. "What's wrong Lleu?" Kali asked. "Justine?" Sedna asked, confused by what's going on. Justine looked at her pleadingly, "Help me...!" She whimpered. "I. Know. You!" Lleu persisted. Justine glared at him, "You. Don't." She said and turned to walk away. Lleu looked viscious as the then called out, "What makes you so odd?" "Shut. Up." Justine muttered. "Lleu, take it easy!" Kali said. "What's gotten into you?" Heyoka demanded. "You're so creepy, always stalking us. And trying to fondle our emotions and memories, you're such a freak!" shouted Lleu. That made Justine angry as she revealed her Kresnik form as she cried, "WHO ARE YOU CALLING A FREAK?!" But seeing everyone's shocked faces; she was horrified over what she'd done. "It's Pandora, Bellerophon was right." thought the commander. Heyoka couldn't believe it, "A Kresnik, just like me..." He said. "You're Pandora. I knew it, I knew you were familiar to me." Lleu said. Adelaide couldn't believe it, "Justine..." She gasped. Justine didn't want to look at her reaction, "I'm sorry." She said, and then she ran! Heyoka, Kali, Lleu, Tyr, Janus, Etain, and Eris chased after her however Justine glanced at Heyoka, Kali, and Lleu before smiling at them.

The three friends haulted for a moment as they thought it looked so familiar to them. After running for so long; Justine was so exhausted that she passed out in the fields. She didn't know how long she had been out there but the next thing she knew she found herself in a room of a cottage. Just then, a figure pops out and exclaimed out: "YOU'RE ALIVE!!!" It was a girl with brown hair in pigtails however Justine looked at the girl who looked familiar to her. She looked like Justine's deceased friend Eva, the girl wrapped her arms around Justine and hugged her tightly. "I thought you were dead, I told Hjúki you weren't dead, did he listened? Nooo...." The girl ranted. Justine was dazed by this when someone came in and scolded at the girl, "Bilwis, let go of her! You're crushing the wind out of her!" Justine looked at the boy with shock, that boy somehow resembled her other deceased friend Lear for a moment. "Kids, stop with the arguing up there! What is going on?" asked a woman's voice. The girl, Bilwis, let go as she jumped from the bed and rushed downstairs, "Mom! Momma, she woke up! She's awake, she's alive...!" She shouted with joy. Hjúki sighed, shaking his head and turned to Justine to smile apologetically, he then held out her hand. Justine shyly took it and was escorted down the stairs carefully. If Justine tripped, Hjúki would catch her. As Justine made her way downstairs, she meets Hjúki and Bilwis's mother Rose McLeod. For some reason, Rose reminded her of Eliza. "Is something wrong, dear?" Rose asked. Justine made herself at home with the McLeods. However during that time, Justine feels a deja-vu moment like she's with Eva, Lear, and Eliza all over again. Persephone almost started crying but she stops and wants to savor the moment. With no tears. Meanwhile; Justine was upstairs with Hjúki and Bilwis when Rose heard a knock and answered it but found Saruta, Namtome, Triath, and Adelaide at the door.

"Can I help you?" Rose asked. "Do you know someone by the name 'Justine'?" Adelaide asked. Rose turned and called out, "Justine! You have guests!" Just then, Justine came to the upstairs to peer over the balcony, "Oh, that's--Hi." She said as she saw the four standing there. Adelaide smiled, "Justine, you're all right. We're so happy to see you're safe." She said. Justine was relieved to as she made her way slowly down the stairs to greet the others. "Sorry about before." Namtose said. "No, it's fine. Fine--Hey Rose? Can you give us a moment?" Justine asked, looking at her pleadingly. Rose nodded, "Sure, I'll make some tea and check on the kids." She said and she went away so Justine and the others can have some alone time. "You know, you can't be here." said Justine. "Because you're a Kresnik? We don't care." Namtose replied. Justine looked at him with surprise and looked at the others who agreed with him. "Yeah, I mean it was creepy but in a good way."  Triath remarked. "And your past was tragic, I mean your father--" added Saruta. "Stepfather." corrected Adelaide. Saruta looked annoyed, "Whatever, your stepfather and mother did to you--They made you into a Kresnik and then shunned you while tormenting you and killing the people you cared about. Then you killed them and your tormentors in a roaring rampage of revenge." He explained. Justine looked shocked at all four of them, "How did you--?" She started to say but Namtose answered: "Commander Minos Ruiter was told by an ally and he told us what we knew." Justine seemed relaxed and looked at them with a curious expression on her face. "Oh, you mean you're not scared? Of me?" She asked.

"No." said Saruta, Namtose and Adelaide. "Well, I'm pretty spooked." remarked Triath. Adelaide elbowed him in the ribs, "Ow...!" Triath said, wincing. "He means, 'amazed'." Adelaide said brightly while glaring at him. Justine smiled, "Thanks." She said. Suddenly, they could hear commotion from upstairs. "Mom! Mom! MOM!" Hjúki screamed. Bilwis called out, "Momma, help!" "Kids!!!" Rose cried. There was grunting noises as Rose shouted, "Justine!" Justine, Saruta, Namtose, Triath, and Adelaide were shocked to hear this. "A Sigbin?" Saruta asked. Namtose nodded, "Yes, let's go!" He said, and the four of them raced after to rescue the McLeods. Just then, there was a scream as Heyoka, Kali, and Lleu rushed over to where it was coming from. As they got there, they found four burnt bodies. Justine was crying out, "NOOOOOO!" she sank to the ground. Justine bowed her head and cried. The trio was saddened by this discovery, while Heyoka comforted her. "I'm sorry, Justine." He said. Justine managed to say, "I never told them thank you, Heyoka. I never did..." She didn't noticed something underneath until it was too late as the earth flipped her backwards by itself somehow. She landed on the ground with surprise as she heard sniggering and turned in amazement to see Saruta, Namtose, Triath, and Adelaide were alive. The four burnt bodies turned out to be Sigbins! Justine was shocked to see the McLeods were alive too. "I thought you were dead!" Justine claimed. "We're still kicking, Lady Justine." Triath said.

It turned out that Saruta, Namtose, Triath, and Adelaide have elemental powers: Saruta has the powers of intervention air, Namtose has the ability of Mother earth, Triath has the gift of feeling fire, and Adelaide has the power over intuition water. When Commander Ruiter saw this; He went to the four and asked them to join Morgenstern Order. And the four accept, much horror and wary of Justine. Justine was shocked by the McLeodss. They too have them elemental powers. Hjúki has the power to control shadows, Bilwis has the ability to control light, and Rose had the ability to control ice and crystalize water. Justine can see them all happy. She felt so emotional as she suddenly burst into tears as she rushed over to them as she embraced a surprised Saruta. "Hey, hey, what's with the crying? Easy now, no more. Cone on. It's OK." Saruta said in a comfort manner. For some reason; Justine found herself screaming bloody murder as she convulsed on the floor or against the wall as her Kresnik was starting to lose it as she babbles like a maniac to things like, "Chaos Reigns No More...!" Then she screamed again but she screeched while almost losing it: "CHAOS REIGNS NO MORE!!!" So now; Saruta, Namtose, Triath, and Adelaide are her garroters--the ones who will eliminate her if her sanity slips.  Justine is now being careful. Namtose is like a mentor to Justine, Triath is quite the aloof and arrogant type but he is almost kind to her--He was both jerkoff and nice guy. Adelaide was a mentor type to her as well. Like an older sister type. Though she is pretty humorous while bantering about with Triath, they were so much like an old married couple. And Saruta was like a father figure to Justine, he cares deeply for her.

Rose was like a mother figure to Justine as her kids, Hjúki and Bilwis, were like brother-sister type figures to her. Although she is being careful of her sanity; Justine vowed that she was going to protect them no matter what. Justine is twirling in her bedchambers as she begin to sing: "If I break the glass, then I'll have to fly, There's nobody to catch me if I take a dive. I'm scared of changing, the days stay the same, The world is spinning but only in gray. If I break the glass, then I'll have to fly, There's nobody to catch me if I take a dive. I'm scared of changing, the days stay the same, The world is spinning but only in gray." She stopped when she walked over and glance out to see Leda sitting alone on the porch bench, she pities her; waiting like this. So she decided to join her by sitting next to her. "Ahhh..." sighed Leda, wiping away a few tears, "Feels like deja-vu for me. I haven't done something like this since Conner." Justine nodded, "You must really love him." She said, it sounded halfly like a question. "Yes, Saruta reminds me so much of him....Ugh, I try not to fall, I try...." Leda said softly but she wept again. "It's like my darling Conner has been reborn again." She admitted, "But with a different name." "Does he know?" Justine asked. "Um, yes. He didn't mind but he laughed and said, 'It's not the first time anyone said that.' I laughed with him too...And cried....He embraced me...." Leda said. She was silent for a moment, "Did you know? On the day that they told me Conner was dead but before that....I kept waiting for him, for the day he'd come back for me." said Leda. "I didn't know that." Justine replied. "Yes, he told me before he left that one day he and I would wed soon....But it never did."

Leda said, she sniffled and her eyes were red. "Ugh, I'm telling you something so melancholy. I must've looked like a fool." Leda moaned. "Don't say that, I'm glad. You never told anyone about this, haven't you?" asked Justine. "No, not since his death. I kept all the feelings in...." Leda admitted. She rather not talk about however they both were happy to see Saruta return. That night, Saruta had Justine in his lap where she rested there like a daughter does to a father. Leda watched them with comfort but noticed what time it is. "It's getting late. Justine, you should get some sleep dear." Leda said. Saruta glanced at Justine, "Hey Justine, you heard Leda right?" He asked. Justine nodded, "Yes, I wish I could stay. Here." She admitted. Saruta helped her up, "Come on, you need some rest." He chided gently. Justine nodded. "OK, Good night." She said, kissing his cheek before going off to bed. "'Night." Saruta said. He watched her go as Justine says goodnight to Leda, who replies it back to her. Once Justine was gone; Saruta gestured Leda, "Come." He said. Leda giggles, snuggling him next to him. "You sure are being romantic." She noted. "Well, you looked pretty sad." Saruta remarked. Leda's sad smile faded, "Yeah, I mean, I know this isn't a good time to say but if you leave...I'll wait for you until you return--Just like....Just like I did with--Him....." She begin to blubber and weep. Saruta looked at her with sympathy, "Leda..." He breathed. Leda try to leave as she continued to cry, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't cry--Like this!" She spluttered. Saruta pulled her gently back and kissed her, he pulled away as he breathed against her skin, "Shh, Leda. I got you, it's all right my love."

His lips brushed against her nape which made Leda tingly. It was moderately yet lightly to her as she could hear him breathing out the words, "Poor soul...poor thing...." Unknown to them; Justine was leaning against the wall as she can hear them with concern, she couldn't help but feel a little bit desirous because of Leda. She felt her heart beating. It wasn't so strong, but it felt like something was smooth and small but it felt comfort with a hint of lovesick tone. While taking a walk the next day; Justine was wiping her eyes and sniffling. "Dammit, Poor Leda, Poor thing..." She thought. She stumbles across a field of tall grass strands and flowers. There was a tree nearby in the meadows and Justine went underneath it. The tall grass made her want to hide in there just in case. As she sat under the tree to rest; Justine begin to hear rustling coming from the fields and sat up alert. And then, a Sigbin came out from the meadows and tried to attack but Justine went into her Kresnik form as she fought back. The Sigbin ran away while Kresnik Justine chased after it, she lost sight of it during the pursuit and heard a scream. Kresnik Justine to see Leda struggled against the Sigbin so Justine lunged at the monster and tackled it as Leda watched with wide eyed horror. Kresnik Justine bite into the creature's neck and ripped a bit of flesh from its throat. The Sigbin's nape oozed of red plasma from it. Then with one last drop; it died and Justine scampered away. Leda was dazed as she wondered what just happened. Saruta came to her, "Are you OK? I heard you scream." He said. "I'm fine." replied Leda, "I was attacked by a Sigbin when a female Sigbin creature came and saved me." Saruta looked at her with shock, "Wha--Did you say 'Female Sigbin'?" He asked.

Down beneath an oak tree; Justine was hugging her knees, which were crouched in a ball. She rocked a little as her face hidden in her arms. "Hey, are you OK?" Someone called out, Justine looked up startled. "Who's there?" She called out. Leda appeared, smiling at her. "It's me, Leda. Remember?" She asked. Justine squinted in the darkness, "Leda?" She said. Leda grinned with joy, "Yes, thank you for saving me back there. I was sent here by the Morgenstern Order to find out where you have gone." She explained. Justine begin to cry again, "Oh, Leda. I feel so bad for you that all the suffering you were put through." She spluttered. "Really? Can you tell me?" Leda asked gently. "He--Conner--was the love of your life and when you met Saruta, you thought he was a replacement goldfish for Conner and you missed him so much." stuttered Justine through her tears. "Oh, sweet thing. You shouldn't be sad for me. I miss him but memories trigger and I can't help but cry. In the end, I'm OK. He was the love of my life and it killed me he was gone." Leda said. Justine looked at her, "You think Saruta reminds you of...'him'?" "Yes." Leda said. Justine sniffed, "I see, I'm very happy. I think Saruta reminds me of someone I once knew" She said. Leda smiled, "I think it's something we both have in common." She remarked. The two girls came out of the hole from underneath the tree. "Justine?" Someone called out to her, Justine turn around and gasped, "Saruta...!" Saruta rushed over and embraced her, "You're alive!" He sighed with relief. He could smell the scent of sweetness that was coming off her skin. "My God, it's you." breathed Saruta. Justine wept, "Saruta...." She said. "It's OK, you're safe now." soothed Saruta.

That night; Justine was lying in bed. She suddenly heard someone knock on her door. "Lady Justine!" Triath called, "You OK fella?" Justine didn't turn around but she nodded. Adelaide noticed something was wrong, she walked over and sat beside her. "Justine, you still awake?" Adelaide asked softly. Justine nodded, "Yes." She said. "Hey, um, listen...This may not be a good time  but now we're part of the Morgenstern Order." She said. Justine turned to her and smiled sadly. "Congrats, that's great." But she didn't feel so happy for them. "You want to eat dinner?" Adelaide asked gently. "You mean your last meal before you leave me?" Justine inquired miserably. Saruta, Namtose, Triath, and Adelaide looked shocked at her. "No, we couldn't possibly...Do that." Namtose said. Justine turned away from them, "You don't need me anymore, no more.....You don't." She said. The four of them left, hurt by what she said. After they left; Justine slumped on the floor and begin to cry, while the other four are hurt by her anguish. The next day; it was time to bid Saruta, Namtose, Triath, and Adelaide farewell until they can come back next month. During this time; they were looking out for Justine--They didn't want to leave her without saying goodbye. In the meantime, Justine was finishing the touches to the quilt she made for her four friends--It was of the four elements: Air, earth, fire, and water. She wonders if she can make it there in time before they leave so she can give this to them. However she sensed that a vehicle was leaving and she rushed after it. However she learns she was too late: "Good luck!" Lleu hollered. "Farewell!" replied Kali. "Take care! Bye!" said Heyoka.

Just then, Justine was running past them as she cried out, "Saruta! Namtose! Triath! Adelaide! Don't go, wait!" Heyoka looked at her with surprise, "Justine?" He gasped. Justine broke down as she called out, "I'm sorry! I am an awful person to all of you, but it's because I was hiding my deepest depression  for that Rose, Hjúki, Bilwis, and all of you remind me of people from my past! The ones that I lost dear! The McLeods remind me of Eliza and her children who were my best friends, Lear and Eva. But you four--You remind me of those that became my friends....Conner, Fiachra, Aiden, and Nuala. Those four out of the seven were so nice to me since I was in my coming of age days! I was rejected and alone back then, I was so distant and reserved, cold hearted...Because I didn't want to lose you again. Please! Don't go away...." She was too late, she couldn't get there fast enough. Tearful at this; Justine let the quilt she made float away in the breeze and walked away sadly. She sniffed as she wiped a few tears away, she breathed heavily as she would cry there for good. Just then, she looked down to see the quilt she made was there! She looked surprised at this. Justine heard laughter behind her as her tears became glee, she turned around and was embraced by a familiar foursome members! "Saruta! Namtose! Triath! Adelaide!" Justine said, she was crying so much that she could hardly talk. "Did you really think we would leave without saying goodbye?" Triath asked. Justine shrugged, it was hard to talk when she was crying so much. "We'll be back, one month." Adelaide promised. Justine nodded, she embraced the four of them. She was still crying, but they were tears of happiness.

At sunset; Hjúki, Bilwis, and Rose are playing the tall grass and flowers meadow as Julie and Leda watched this with smiles but they looked over at the sleeping Justine who was holding a picture frame of her, Saruta, Namtose, Triath, Adelaide, and Heyoka were in the frame. One fine day, they'll be back. Safe and sound. At the break of dawn, Justine is dancing in the fields as she sings, "If I break the glass, then I'll have to fly, There's nobody to catch me if I take a dive. I'm scared of changing, the days stay the same, The world is spinning but only in gray. If I break the glass, then I'll have to fly, There's nobody to catch me if I take a dive. I'm scared of changing, the days stay the same, The world is spinning but only in gray.....Somebody shine a light, I'm frozen by the fear in me. Somebody make me feel alive, And shatter me! So cut me from the line. Dizzy, spinning endlessly. Somebody make me feel alive, And shatter me!" Tyr and Janus turn around from their work with caring the storage. They turn to see Justine dancing at dawn as they know who she is. "Shatter me!" Justine sang, she twirled as she saw the sun coming up and the light from the blazing orb shined down on her. Tyr smiled at this, grinning to see that this girl is free from her pain and hears her sing: "Somebody make me feel alive, And shatter me!"

Once she had finished singing; Justine looked over at the morning sun coming up and can see a new day has come upon her....

The End
