The Inspirations for Maggie Wolfe

Red Hot Riding Hood. Big Bad She Wolf. Lady Lumberjack. Vicious, sexy and broken girl who is an agent of Evermore. Maggie Wolfe was wronged, she got revenge, she's crazy but she's sweet around the edges if you 'rub' her the right way. Take a look at the inspirations I have on her that made this work. --KatDon

Deadman Wonderland: Deadman Wonderland is a Japanese manga series written by Kazuma Kondou and illustrated by Jinsei Kataoka, who also wrote and illustrated the Eureka Seven manga, and published in Shōnen Ace since 2008. Ten years later, the story shifts to Ganta Igarashi, a seemingly ordinary student attending Nagano Prefecture's middle school. As an escapee, a survivor of the great earthquake, Ganta has no memories of the tragedy and has lived a normal life. This all changes when a strange person covered in blood and crimson armor floats through his classroom windows. Grinning madly, the 'Red Man' massacres Ganta's entire class but instead of killing him, embeds a red crystal shard in Ganta's chest. Within days of the massacre, Ganta is subjected to a kangaroo court as a suspect and is sentenced to death at Deadman Wonderland, a prison that doubles as a theme park. Arriving at the prison, Ganta is fitted with a special collar which monitors his location and vital signs. A lethal poison is constantly injected into his bloodstream through the collar, but it can be neutralized by consuming a peculiar candy-like medicine every three days, which can be acquired through various activities in the prison, performing for audiences, working backstage and purchasing with Cast Points (a form of currency among inmates at Deadman Wonderland). To gather Cast Points, an inmate must perform in the facility's lethal games and survive. Fortunately for Ganta, he is aided by a mysterious albino girl named Shiro who apparently knows Ganta but whose existence is unknown to the other prisoners. While trying to survive as an inmate on death row, Ganta intends to find the 'Red Man' to clear his name. In a bizarre twist, Ganta begins to develop the ability to manipulate his own blood, to the point of turning it into a weapon. Unknown to Ganta, he has become one of the prison's "Deadmen," an isolated group of prisoners possessing the Branches of Sin an ability which makes them capable of controlling their blood. Once seeing this anime and the powers of each of these characters; I was impressed by all this. And that's how I was inspired to give an ability like

Cherry Bomb (2011 version): Set in 1984 in a small Texas town, Cherry Bomb follows the story of Cherry, an exotic dancer who is sexually assaulted by a group of men in the club where she works. Upon waking in the hospital, Cherry soon comes to find that all of the men have escaped justice, seemingly due to the help of corrupt local law enforcement. Against all odds, Cherry teams up with her estranged brother and vows revenge against the men who left her emotionally and physically broken. But things don't always go as planned, and Cherry finds herself up against the police, a vicious hired gun, and a barrage of unexpected consequences as she strives for vengeance. This was Maggie's backstory like this however it was too graphic so I changed it a little but it is still in there.

Carnage: Carnage was once a serial killer known as Cletus Kasady, and became Carnage after merging with the offspring of the alien symbiote called Venom during a prison breakout. The symbiote amplified his psychotic nature making him even less mentally stable than he had been previously, and therefore even more dangerous. An interesting note is that, unlike Venom, Carnage is a singular entity, referring to himself as "I" instead of "We", because the symbiote has actually merged into Kasady's bloodstream. This is where I created Manifestation in the bloodline of Maggie Wolfe and wanted to create creatures similar to Carnage. I remember the Carnage Ock from the Spider Man video game in the 90's and it hasn't left my brains since! So I love to see Maggie as a sexually violent girl with a red symbiotic exoskeleton and raise some hell!

Kesha: Kesha Rose Sebert, or better known as Ke$ha, is an American singer, songwriter and rapper. In 2005, at age 18, Kesha was signed to producer Dr. Luke's label Kemosabe Records. Her breakthrough came in early 2009 after appearing on American rapper Flo Rida's number-one single "Right Round". Kesha's music and image propelled her to immediate success, with her debut album Animal premiering at the top of the charts in several countries. She achieved 3 more number-one singles, "Tik Tok" and "We R Who We R" as a solo artist, and "Timber" as a featured artist. At the same time, she continued to write songs for other artists, becoming respected as a songwriter. Warrior, her second studio album, was released in 2012, and spawned her eighth consecutive top-ten single "Die Young". "Tik Tok", at one point, was the best-selling digital single in history, selling over 14 million units internationally. I didn't want to make Maggie a singer but some of the songs are inspiring for Maggie: She wants to get revenge, cause mayhem and party in a pool of blood. THAT'S NOT WHAT KESHA IS ALL ABOUT but I felt like that's what Maggie thinks. BLOW is about Maggie and Squad 11 causing blood shed and mayhem to enemies they come across. It could be possible that Maggie Wolfe is a fan of Kesha!
