Phenomenon Serendipity: Violent Misadventure of Maggie Wolfe--Part 1

This is a side story of Maggie Wolfe and how she met the Shinsengumi from Gintama. Please enjoy and thanks for reading! --KatDon

Maggie has burgundy hair, light skin complexion, and she looks better than she didn't before. Previously, she used to have brown hair, she wasn’t that light as she looked different while also some sort of insanity upon her. Maggie now works as an exotic dancer in order to make money. One night it was dark and there was no sound except the chirpy ringtone came from A.D.'s cell-phone that was in her bag. She answered it, "Hello?" She said. A.D. listened before she responds back, "Hey, it's me. Just got back from 'struttin' my stuff' if you know what I mean." Another pause and then she said, "I know, I know. Look, once I get that hundred grand; then I'm done. OK? It's my last tomorrow." A short pause, "OK, cool. Thanks." And she hung up after saying goodbye to that person. Just then, Maggie  thought she heard something and turned around. "Who's there?" She called out. No one answered so Maggie kept walking however she felt like someone is following her so she begins to run but that was a big mistake. Her heel broke and slid down a steep street but the figures approached, evil chuckles. "Stay away from me!" cried Maggie, but they didn't listen. A.D. was attacked and tortured by five men. Just then, there were police sirens in the air and the men heard them as they escaped. Maggie developed a hatred towards men as she gets her revenge. It stripped her of her being an ecdysiast. One day, Maggie woke up with a rash on her back and then the rash came to life as Maggie developed blood-like symbiotic powers with flesh engorged masses across her body. Finally; she tracks down those that wronged her and prepared herself for the craziest journey yet to come. She wants drama and carnage. But mostly carnage and wants everything red! Maggie struggles with her new abilities. In the morning, Maggie was having breakfast in a strapless top when B.V. noticed something on her back. "What is that?" asked Ilene, her fingers brushed against her back. Maggie jerked away, "What? What is what?" She said with confusion. "Those!" B.V. said, she plucked out a hair-like strand from her back. Maggie winced when she did that and glares at her; however B.V. is shocked by what she was seeing. "This doesn't feel like hair, feels slimy and soft--even squishy..." muttered B.V. "Hair squishy? Very funny, hair is so not squishy. I mean, who has squishy hair?" Maggie said. B.V. analyzed them as she was shocked to find out that the red plume was not human at all. Things got weirder when Maggie was scratching a rash-looking wound, it looked like a red painted ink design on her back. "What the hell is that?" She muttered. Maggie ran her hand down there, the blood red plumes are stuck to her back, "What. the. hell." muttered Maggie. She suddenly felt cramps in the lower part of her stomach. Then, she felt the pain in the sides of her ribs. Maggie was hurting so much that she cried out, "HELP! HELP ME, B.V.!!!" And she passed out. Maggie woke up as she was topless but covered while the doctor examines her. Ilene was the only one with her; she talked to her when the doctor left the room for a moment. "I never had been through pain like that." Maggie remarked. "Um, I have. With a corset, it hurts so bad." Ilene said. "Ha. Very funny." Maggie replied. B.V. gave her a sideways look, "Try wearing one and it won't be so funny." She said. But then saw something on Maggie's back, "WHAT IS THAT?" She shouted in hysterics. "Huh?" Maggie said, she jumped at the sound of Ilene's voice. "It looks like a Venus flytrap." B.V. said. Maggie was terrified when she heard that, "Oh my back?" She asked. "On your back!" B.V. confirmed. Maggie let out a groan, "OH GREAT! JUST GREAT, THAT'S WHAT I'M EXPECTING ON A WEDNESDAY!!!" She hollered. B.V. thought of something for a moment, "Hold on!" She said. Maggie looked at her, "What?" She asked. "Slashed at the back, it sounds like...Like you're bitten on a full moon by a werewolf!" B.V. said. Maggie looked at her friend for a moment, she then laughed anxiously. "I know, crazy huh?" B.V. remarked. "Well thank you for taking my nightmare so fricking seriously!" Maggie cried, almost shouting. B.V. leaned over and told her that the red plumes she plucked at and told her that it wasn't human: "Something went wrong, Maggie. When you were attacked, something went wrong." B.V. whispered. Maggie is terrified, Ilene continued to talk to her: "You're changing, Maggie. Everything about you is changing, what's happening to you?" She asked. "I don't know, am I dying?" Maggie said back with a panic in her voice. "I don't know." said B.V. After the doctor's visit; Maggie and B.V. are confronted by thugs as Maggie decides to face them. She had a weird blood-thirsty look in her eyes as she said to them, "Be afraid, be very afraid." She butchered them all as B.V. looked at her, then the blood was on Maggie But the most eccentric trick, the blood was absorbed into her skin and Maggie let out a spasm of pleasure escape her lips. She immediately covered her mouth as B.V. glanced at her in disbelief, "You attack those bastards, their blood splattered all of you, the blood gets absorbed into you, and you let out this spasm like you're--" She started to say but she was cut off. "Uh-uh! Don't you dare finish that sentence!" Maggie scolded at her. B.V. held up her hands, "Just saying." She said. Maggie shrugged, "I guess. I feel rather satisfied with the thirst, I'm no longer dehydrated." She said. B.V. gave her a weird look, "Dehydrated?" She inquired. "Yeah, strange isn't it?" Maggie asked. "Very." agreed B.V. When they got back, it all seems well but then it got worse than before. Maggie & Bella Venetia ‘B.V.’ meet some people who were belligerent but stand for justice and this army: Kenpachi and Squad 11, Sting Eucliffe, Rogue Cheney, Lector, Frosch, Yukino, Rufus, Orga, Minerva Orlando, Dobengal, Ryuji ‘Bon’ and Konekomaru. Afterwards; Maggie recalled how she and BV got to meet with Sting and Rogue. Maggie and BV enter a bar after the first time they found themselves in DWC. They were harassed by two shady perverts so Maggie punched one of the guy and she & BV fights the guys, scaring everyone out! It was empty and trashed in the bar as it was quiet at the time when there was rustling noises that were soft. “Hey, did you two cause this?” A voice asked. Maggie knew that was a guy’s voice. She tensed up, “What the frick do you want, ass…” Maggie started to say but she stopped when she saw it was Sting! She noticed his physique of being muscular and lean. “Damn, he’s hot….What am I thinking? Focus Mags! Don’t even try it! You cannot get distracted by the hotness.” Thought Maggie. Maggie then stood up and sizing up to him, “Yeah? What’s it to ya?” She snapped. “Take it easy, Red. I’m not here to hurt ya and neither is he.” Sting said, gesturing towards Rogue. Once working alongside these other people; Maggie becomes temperamental and annoyance mixed together in a state with her powers. Currently: The metallic head above her sprayed sprouts of water on her bare skin, the blistering shock relax the tension in her muscles. Her wavy red tresses soaked in the rain of the shower. Scarlet closed her curtains as her fingers danced in those cherry locks of hers, unknotting the tangles as she yelped quietly. Hands dragged a soapy louffa against her body, washing the soap that scrubbed all over and erasing traces of bad odor and gunk. She let the steaming rain caress her body while the coating of bubbles dissolves and rinsed away. She thought about her day: How she was in the bathroom, looking at herself in the mirror until BV came in and confront her about what her problem was. Maggie claims that she finds Sting and the rest of Sabertooth a bizarre group of people and how she couldn’t stand her. BV told her that there was nothing wrong with them, they seemed like a bunch of good people but Maggie didn’t want to hear this anymore so she left the bathroom. She stormed away but stopped and looked behind to see Sting, Rogue, and Rufus looking at her. It made her irritated so much that her heel of her shoe broke. She was shocked as she wondered how that happened. Then, irritation invoked her after she heard Rufus’s low chuckle. Maggie dared not to turn around as that would show weakness. She took off her shoes and her feet paddled against the hot pavement, but she didn’t care because she did not want to look at any of them in the eye. Unknown to her, Sting was watching her with a glance of concern on his face. Back in the present; Maggie turn up the shower a little more hotter but she gasped at how hot it was against her skin. Her feet felt like they were on fire so she turned it down for a bit. It also prickled at her scar where she remembers how she was strangled by those boys who snickered and claimed that she was so weak. Blade across her skin, she nearly died. Thinking about the memory made her pant for breath, made her gasp and she begins to pant her mantra over and over again: “Survive….Fight…. Survive….Fight…. Survive….Fight…. Survive….Fight….” Just then, a voice made her jump and slid almost: “Hey, whatcha muttering about in there Red?” Maggie cursed silently, “Son of a—Boys, I thought I’d told you that I want to have some privacy! Geez!” She called. “You forgot to lock the door, that’s how we got in.” Rogue said. Maggie realized her mistake and then she blushed but she hollered: “Oh…um, right! Sorry, you can go now.” But they didn’t leave, Sting said: “Actually we like to talk to you. What the hell is your deal? You sound like you hate you.” Maggie rolled her eyes, “Listen, I’m a miserable person who acts like everyone else. Just leave me alone!” She ranted. “Well, why don’t you get to know us.” Sting pointed out. “I don’t want to get to know any of you! It’s just a waste of time.” Maggie explained. She puts her hand out as she said, “Sting, since you and Sven are here, hand me a towel.” Sting sighed, “Fine.” He said. He gives Maggie her towel as Maggie took it. The shower turned off, there was some shifting sounds until Maggie pulls the curtains back, revealing to have wrapped the towel around her body. She stepped out of the shower as she walked past them whilst she said, “Now if you don’t mind, I am going to get changed and if you guys peep on me, and I will punch your lights out.” And she slammed the door. That night, Maggie was in a crowded bar with BV sitting beside her. Maggie was drunk from shots as she couldn’t get Sting and Rogue out of her head. BV noticed, “They really got to you, didn’t they?” She asked. “Sure did.” Scarlet replied. “Geez! I can’t seem to get those bastards out of my head.” BV seemed worried for Maggie, “Mags? Come on, let me take you back to Evermore.” She said. “No, I’m fine.” Maggie insisted. “You had five glasses of red brandy. It’s time you call it a night, I don’t want you to suffer from alcohol poisoning.” Replied BV. Maggie sighed, she puts her drink down and wobbles up to her feet. Belinda helped her up as the two girls walked but while trying to leave, Maggie groaned: “Aw no! What the hell is he doing here?” She asked. BV looked and she frowned. There was a timid young man in a hoodie, jeans, and sneakers as he approached Maggie and BV. “Hey ladies, mind if I buy you a drink?” The man asked. “Ugh, as if my night couldn’t get any worse.” Scarlet moaned. “How about dinner? My treat.” The man persisted. “Look, what’s ya name….Tommy? Tommy Rawlins?” Maggie inquired, forgetting his name. “Yes, Tommy Rawlins.” The young man said excitedly. “Look Tommy, I had too much to drink and I’m ready to call it a night and I told you, I’m not interested.” Maggie said. “But Maggie…” Tommy protested. “No buts, just listen. Have a good night.” Maggie scolded. “I got my biggest promotion and I wanted to celebrate.” Tommy begged. “Go home, Tommy. Take a hint, she’s not into you.” BV elucidated. Stan was enraged; he seized Maggie and pulled her in. Maggie, which she now sobered up pretty quickly, was scared out of her wits. “I try to do well and this is the thanks I get?! NO WAY IN HELL ANYONE IS GOING TO TAKE HER FROM ME AGAIN!!!!” shouted Tommy. “Tommy, let go of me!” begged Maggie. But that psycho won’t stop until he gets what he wants. That is until Tommy is hit from behind, loosening his grip on Maggie who looked up and saw who it was. “She said stop so back off!” Sting demanded. Tommy growled, “Why are you trippin’?! She’s just shy; she knows she wants me oh so badly.” Sting laughed at him, “Don’t hold your breath.” He remarked. “If she did want you, then you wouldn’t be the first loser for trying.” Sting turned to Maggie, “You OK?” He asked. “Just take me back, I’m so exhausted.” Maggie begged. She, BV, Sting, and Rogue walked out but they didn’t noticed that Tommy watched them with vicious eyes of hatred. The next morning, Maggie woke up with a throbbing headache and sat up to see Sting there. “You all right?” He asked. Maggie looked at him, “What are you doing here?” She asked. “Waiting for you to wake up, you need to eat a little. And also, you never mention that you had about five glasses of alcohol.” Sting replied. Maggie rolled her eyes, “Look…I’m going through issues right now, a lot on my mind.” She claimed and she glanced at him, “What is it?” She asked. “You’re one crazy redhead.” Sting said. Maggie looked at him, “And you are the biggest dork I have ever met. And Rogue looks like a combination of a Viscount and Gambit.” She said. “Don’t tell him I said that.” Sting managed to chuckle at that, “OK. I won’t. I don’t know who they are but fine, just come out all right?” He said. Maggie moaned, “I’ll be out OK?” She said. Sting nodded and left. Once he was gone, Maggie glanced up at the ceiling where the sunrays cast out on the ceiling. Sting’s concerns bugged Maggie; she could not understand why he cares so much. It just doesn’t make any sense. It didn’t take too long; Maggie walked out of her room and closed the door behind her. Just then, a loud boom and the wall were crashed down. Gunfire went off as everyone got ready in position but all they heard was, “CALLING ALL SABERTOOTH, CLEAR THE WAY BABY, CLEAR THE AIR YOU SABERS FOR YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE HAS ARRIVED!!!” Out approached a troubling fellow with a Mohawk, punk clothes of a vest and a T shirt, sneakers, jeans, and a spiked choker. But this guy was so loud, obnoxious. “Well, well, what have we here? This is the Sabertooth Guild? Oooh, I’m so petrified. So, this is where my Red Hot Riding Hood has been hiding out huh? Her two huntsmen saved her from the Big Bad Wolf? Wait! Aren’t you a Big Bad She Wolf? Lady Lumberjack? I gotta say, you thought this would be the last time you heard of me but you were wrong. I mean, you know Maggie…” His face softens for a bit. “….I always loved you….” Said the guy. Maggie gasped in horror, “Tommy? Tommy Rawlins, is that you?” She asked. The troubled, sinister man responds back: “The name is not TOMMY!!!! I AM NOW SCRATCH THORN!!!! And don’t you forget it. All I was trying to do was for you to like me but then these two losers came along and ruined everything. Some low-life once said, ‘Don’t hold your breath. If she did want you, then you wouldn’t be the first loser for trying.’ Remember that you son of a bitch?” Tommy shouted. Sting looked at him, “Hey man…I was joking, I don’t know what your intentions were. I'm sorry.” He assured him. Tommy laughed, “Lies! You lie, you stupid bastard! Anyone who wants some hot red head like her is free to bang her if they wanted to.” He shouted. “Stan, listen…I hardly know them but they saved me from you so I’m putting my trust in them. That’s all I have to say.” Maggie declared to him. Tommy would not listen as his delusions got the best of him until Yukino came behind and stop him with a kick in between his legs. Tommy cried out in pain and he managed to escape. But he was going to get payback against Maggie Wolfe and the gang, but mostly towards the Sabertooth Guild! Maggie panted when she caught wind of a timid boy standing there. Terrified; the guy tries to move back but Maggie pinned him against the wall, they were so close that the guy was scared. "You saw that?" Maggie demanded. The guy shook his head, "No, no. I didn't see anything there, I won't tell anyone. I'm...I'm sorry..." He apologized. Maggie nodded, she released him from her grip. "Good, that's what I thought." Maggie said. Maggie looked over and said, “What’s your name kid?” The guy looked at her, “Um….Yamazaki….” He said. Maggie smirked, “OK Yamazaki, you play this right, and I might give you a nice reward.” She managed to use Yamazaki as a messenger boy so he can deliver messages to his people of a certain corporation: The Shinsengumi! Sagaru Yamazaki is a member of the Shinsengumi, he handles intelligence work, often serving as a spy. He's often seen with a badminton racquet sometimes during sword training, when Hijikata's more likely to beat him up for it. Isao Konodo is the Commander of the Shinsengumi. A goofy, but good-natured and honorable leader who has won the respect and admiration of his subordinates. Despite appearing completely incompetent, he takes his job seriously and will not hesitate to make tough decisions in order to protect his comrades and the people of the country. The members of the Shinsengumi are fiercely loyal to him and he shares a particularly close bond of friendship with Sougo Okita and Toushiro Hijikata. Okita often remarks that Kondo's nice attitude is also his weak point as he never takes notice of a person's negative traits. He has a crush on Shinpachi's sister Tae and stalks her, to which she responds by repeatedly beating him senseless. So Yamazaki plays the role of the messenger boy and tells Maggie about the Shinsengumi: The Shinsengumi is a special anti-terrorist police unit in Edo deployed by the Bakufu. They consist of lower status samurai and ronin from out in the country. The Shinsengumi are composed of ronin who would've just gone and caused trouble on their own anyway. Under Kondo, they've become the tight-knit and slightly dysfunctional police group everyone knows. The Shinsengumi is forged through bonds of friendship and loyalty, so much so that even grim-faced and sadistic warriors like Hijikata and Okita would toss away their lives to protect their commander. The chain-smoking "Demonic" Vice-Commander of the Shinsengumi who has garnered an infamous reputation for his ruthless, no-nonsense attitude both on and off the battlefield. Since he's the one usually left in charge of the operation, he takes his work seriously and is fiercely loyal to his commander, Isao Kondo, and the Shinsengumi as a whole. Cucumber cool for the most part, Hijikata is respected and feared by his subordinates, as he's responsible for implementing the 45 Regulations. His swordsmanship is second only to Okita, although he ran into difficulties on discovering his sword was possessed. Hijikata is also obsessed with mayonnaise and has a tendency to smother anything he eats under a mountain of it, in addition to carrying a mayonnaise jar-shaped cigarette lighter. Under his callous, brazen exterior, Hijikata is genuinely compassionate and cares as much about the people he protects as Gintoki. He regards Okita as not only a rival, but a close friend. He had a rather troubled youth. When Hijikata violently saved his half-brother from the bandits who'd blinded him, he was distrusted by the rest of the family. As such, he left home and caused all sorts of trouble smashing up dojos, until he ended up with Kondo, who set him on a straight path. The 18-year-old captain of the first squad and widely-regarded as the best swordsman in the entire Shinsengumi. He tends to be light-hearted and somewhat childish, though his speech is heavily deadpan. Unlike Hijikata or Kondo, he seems to take his position for granted and is often seen slacking off or napping. Okita displays a strong dislike of his comrade Toushiro Hijikata, and continuously tries to embarrass, wound, or even kill him whenever he has the chance in order to take his rank of Vice-Commander. He also holds a deep grudge towards Toushiro for having left Mistuba, Sougo's beloved sister, and holds him accountable for her never being able to find happiness before her death. His violent tendencies and habit to torture others mentally in glee have caused his comrades to label him a "sadist," a title which he actively embraces. Nonetheless, he still thinks of Hijikata as his friend. At least some of his behavior towards Hijikata stems from his belief that Hijikata 'stole' Kondo's attention from him. He once calmly states that he's more than willing to backstab and kill anyone who gets too close to Kondo, because 'the place at Kondo's side is mine.' Everyone is under the impression that Hijikata and Okita are bitter rivals always looking for an opportunity to take the other's head, but in truth, they share a strong bond of friendship. It was then Maggie enter a bar as she was harassed by two Abomination perverts so Maggie punched one of the guy and she fights the guys, scaring everyone out! It was empty and trashed in the bar as it was quiet at the time when she heard someone coming and hide. It was quiet when Maggie jumped at the sound of marching footsteps--Like an army or something. "What a dump." said a first. A second remarked, "Yeah. Looks like this place went to hell." "Hmm, hell. I have to agree with that." said a third. Maggie was shaken with fear over this, "What to do? What to do? How to get out of this?" She thought. Just then; Maggie heard an Abomination was sneaking behind this tall, dark guy so she sneaked behind the Abomination, gagged it and dragged it off! Maggie was alone with the Abomination who mocks her about being a homewrecker and accused her mercilessly of letting herself getting attacked by those men. Angry; Maggie raises her pole, and slices off the Abomination woman's arm at the shoulder with one stroke. There was blood spewing and gushing out, the Abomination woman twists her body in agony, painting the floor and the walls with giant splashes of red, as her body hits the floor, twitching in both surprise and shock. Again with the impaling pole; Maggie does a swipe in the air with her sharp pole; the blood flies off the pole. Maggie slowly raises the pole into a striking position. The Abomination guy was charging and screaming, almost on top of her. Maggie thrusts her impaling pole through the Abomination's abdomen, then lifts the little guy off the ground straight up in the air. Maggie screaming, she impaled on her blade like a fish at the end of a spear. Which they were held up in the air. The Abomination then felt the pole clamps down on his leg, the pain is intense as he screams out. He staggers backwards and falls to the ground in agony. Maggie took the the pole and stabs him across the face! Maggie was drenched in blood and continues to do her fight. It was then she grabs one of the Abomination’s eye lid and pulls it away from the eyeball itself. Then she pops the hook through the lid and pulls the pole back over his head. Maggie screams something fierce as she continues to thread his eyelid open, slowly, delivering as much pain with every pull. Both eyelids hooked open, blood stream down his face, a gruesome sight. Maggie takes a slender knife from the bag and guts the Abomination. She smears the blood onto the other dead Abomination. Maggie jump all over and used the impaling pole as she uses it to peck at his eyes, his cheeks are a bloody mess as he lets out a final guttural scream! The Abomination writhes in pain. With yet another burst of strength he lifts his head out the bloody bath where his face is burnt red, puffy, oozing blood from him. Finally his body stops convulsing. His head drop into the puddle of blood. Blood seeps up the surface from his mouth. His one eye stares straight ahead. Where the other one should be, blood has poured all the way to the ground. There was complete silence until…“Hey, did you cause this?” A voice asked. Maggie knew that was a guy’s voice. She tensed up, Maggie then stood up and sizing up to him. He looked psychotic, Maggie was scared as she couldn't move. She pulled out her staff and stabbed him but she pierced his shoulder instead. The guy looked at where he had been hit. "Does it hurt?" asked Maggie, staring at him. "Nope." said the guy, and then he throbbed her. Hard. Maggie cried out in pain at how much it hurt. "Crazy son of a bitch!" She cried, "Why the hell would you do that?!" The guy snickered, but stops when he heard Maggie moaned softly as she grinned while saying, "Actually...I kind of liked it." Kondo and the rest were shocked as they managed to clear things up and Maggie explained what’s going on as she tells them that she needs them to take on the Abominations. There was a moment of silence as then there was a lot of complaints. "Aw, c'mon!", "You gotta be kidding me!", "That's insane! Screw that!" and"I don't deal with those hooligans!" Rusty piped up. But not everyone was complaining; Sougo was thrilled with the idea: "Sounds like fun." He remarked. Hijikita smiled, "So, what's the plan?" He asked. Maggie turns her head and saunters over to those two, "Oooh, I like what you two got. And me think you're not like the others in this madhouse." She said and then she pushed them back as she exclaimed, "Show time!" The alarm went off as things got into a panic for Maggie and the Shinsengumi. The fight continued. "Take that and that!" shouted Maggie. Kondo calls to him, "Don't fall behind!" There was more of them coming and one of them was about to attack Toushirou from behind but is knocked out. The Vice Commander was surprised, he glanced at the smug Sougo. "What the--?" He was about to ask, however Sougo said: "You're welcome by the way." There was more black cloaked figures coming so Maggie gave them the smack down with her combat attack as she shouted, "GERONIMO!!!" But then, there was more coming and it was like a swarm was surrounded them. "This is so unnecessary!" groaned Maggie. It got very difficulty but with teamwork and fighting the rest of the figures, Maggie shivered as she tried his best to look brave as she knew the task wasn't done but she wasn't sure about doing all of this. That's when Kondo put a hand on Maggie's shoulder, "Hey, take down the monster right?" He inquired. Maggie nodded, "Yeah. I did not come this far to die now." She said.
