Rivals Unite

Can you imagine two people working together? Well only one can change that! Ember Lawless AKA The Wild Fire is forced to work with Vincent and Claude, two scoundrels that had a chance of finding her injured and it gets complicated! Vincent and Claude seriously disliked each other as trainees, are gradually becoming good friends. They still fight and argue a lot though. If they're not fighting together they're snarking at each other. And Ember can get angered easily by her partners' antics and arguments. Find out in this action, comedy-drama story! This story is inspired by the rivals in anime that I adore (Eren VS Jean, Yuu VS Kimizuki, Zoro VS Sanji). Thank you! --KatDon

They say that people have but two final destinies: Heaven and hell. Know that the Devil will try to remove the reality of the existence of his kingdom, hell, from people. If he makes a farce of his existence among anyone, he will deceive anybody so that they will sin and remove themselves from the Spirit of Light. And when they remove themselves from the Spirit of light, they remove themselves from eternal life in the Kingdom of your Father, the most high God in Heaven. Ice is God while Fire is The Devil! In the middle of an argument between people who think the world will come to a fiery end and people who think the world will freeze. The power that human beings have to harm or destroy one another. There is passionate emotions like love and lust would probably have the power to turn the earth into a big fireball. But there are colder emotions like hate have great destructive power. Love gets all the publicity, but hate is the silent killer. It may not have the same grandeur but it'll do the trick. However, there could be a neutral standard. Someone or something being neutral in an argument or a discussion. derives from being neutral in the war. Zack Harvey and Josh Regent were best friends. They played soccer together. They went to classes together. They partied together. They shared their lives with each other. But there is one thing Zack held back from Josh: his personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Zack was a Christian. He told Josh so himself. The boys talked about it three different times today. Kelly Emery brought it up and he laughed it off. Coach Adam Kiwane brought it up and he changed the subject. Why hasn’t Zack ever told Josh about how to become a Christian. Zack had every opportunity to tell Josh about Jesus… he didn’t. The rest of the story is simple and sad...A few too many beers… A tragic drive home… A crash… a death, and a funeral. Then, Ember discovered that Zack is acting strange when there is something called a letter from Hell which changed Zack. That night; Ember has a dream where she meets an angel name Nesace who takes her to Al Aaraaf and show her something. Something in a perspective view that shocked Ember, it also scared her. There she could see the movie played out itself before her: Josh died today. It’s a lot different than he expected. Josh always thought that dying would bring him to a world that is foggy and hazy. But this place is crystal clear. It’s even more real than his life on Earth. He can think. He can talk. He can even feel. Right after the wreck Josh could feel his spirit leaving his body. It was the weirdest thing, he thought he heard Zack screaming out to him. Josh must have been just imagining things. At first Josh was just standing in line, getting registered. They asked him for his name and began to look in the Book of Life. They couldn’t find it though because this huge angel standing next to Josh grabbed him by the arm and started dragging him away. Josh was terrified. He had no idea what was going on. Josh asked the angel where he was taking him, but he didn’t answer. So Josh asked him again. Finally, he told Josh that only those, whose names were written in the Book of Life, could enter into Heaven and the rest would be condemned to Hell forever. This scared Josh! The angel threw Josh into some kind of holding cell. He's been sitting and thinking for a long long time. Thinking about Zack who is a Christian. Zack had told Josh himself. They talking about it, Zack had every opportunity to tell him but he didn't. Zack says Josh is his friend, but if Zack really were Josh would have told me about this Jesus and told him how to escape this terrible place that Josh is headed for. Josh can feel his heart pounding in his chest, the angels who have been chosen to cast him into hell are coming down the hallway. He can hear their footsteps. He has heard of this Hell. They call it the Lake of Fire. Josh was terrified. The angels are at the door. They’re coming in and they’re pointing at him, who shakes his head. They’re grabbing him and carrying him out of the room. He already can smell the burning sulfur and brimstone. He can see the edge of the cliff where Hell burns. This is it. He is without hope. They are coming closer. His heart is bursting with fear. They’re holding him over the flames. He is damned forever. This is it. They are throwing him in. Fire, Pain, Hell. Josh was screaming, “Why Zack? Why didn’t you ever tell me about Jesus?” Ember was scared after seeing this as she cried for Josh and Zack, she demands to know why would God sent people like Josh to a place called Hell and Nesace explained that God is viewed as being like this: love him and do what he commands, or burn in Hell for all eternity if they don't! However, he forgives all who ask and is merciful. Ember wants to make it her mission to rescue those that had fallen into Hell! In her early life; Ember went through trouble with her abusive father and the divorce of her parents as well as her dreams as a writer. Her family has been Christian for awhile however her father was a Catholic, she never took the whole Christian religion seriously until what she saw in the dream and now she suffers panic attacks. Her mother is concerned and ask her what is wrong, mother and daughter begin talking about Hell, Heaven, the Devil, and God. One day, her mother takes her to the family therapy and talk about it. The therapist listens as she writes down what Ember is telling her. The therapist then decides to try something different one day and she uses exposure therapy against Ember and Ember begin to have nerve-wracking visions. In the first vision the innocence being tortured by the wicked so they turned to the devil for help and he agrees to help, for he will take their tormentors to Hell but after that's done, the innocence must go to Hell too after they die. The devil says that they will never know the joys of Heaven; they will enter a world full of pain and agony. Then, there were terrifying images of people being in Hell of fire, blood, pain, and demons. The third and last is where a man who has been in purgatory of a near death experience but an angel of purgatory allowed him to be revived on Earth. So the man returned back to life on earth but realize that a tragedy was about to occur; he tried to stop it while begging to God to not let anyone die. However a revelation came over him; God wasn't listening. The tragedy occurred, everyone was killed; even that man! The man was tricked b the angel of purgatory and was sent to Hell, where the Devil welcome him to the eternal torment and laughed at the man's pain as his soul was burning forever! Ember becomes fearful, distraught, and has another panic attack however the therapist calms her fears and gives her a break. Ember has severe panic attacks and is calmed down, she is visited by a Christian who talks to her about God is a good person as well as his Son, Jesus Christ. The girl starts to recite this prayer, "Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins.  Please forgive my sins and give me the gift of eternal life.  I ask you in to my life and heart to be my Lord and Savior. I want to serve you always." Thus, she becomes a new person and writes about Jesus Christ and warns the people who don't know about Hell and to not go down there. In the present; Ember wore a soft, black tee boasts a wide scoop neck collar, an absolutely adorable contoured fit, and displays the design in a faded grey for a subtle, vintage-style statement. She wore a pair of polka dots pants and wore a brass, green, grey and naturally beige hat has a wide, decorated with beading edge that keeps ears nice and warm. In the middle of the head an additional accent of a small little tail. A big flower is attached to the side. The flower can be worn on the ear side or on the side of the forehead. It was then she has female scallions whom she treats them like kindness until one day, she gets a call about demons prowling around. When Ember got there, she saw how quiet and broken down look to it. She looked around in fear, when she thought she heard something. “Hello, who’s there?” She called. But there was no answer, she looked all around and saw nothing…Or so she thought. Chloe called out, “Listen, you demons---You think this is funny? I’m scared! If that’s you, come on out!” There was no reply, just then she heard a hiss so she turned and saw something before letting out a scream! It was then Ember cried out in pain from the sharp teeth in her skin, she grunts over the wound and puts her hands over it. “Auuggghhhh, it hurts! Hurts like hell…” She groaned. Ember heard voices calling her name and talking to somebody. The next thing she knew she was picked up off the ground. “Mmmmm….” She moaned. When Ember looked up, she saw some sort of stoic looking guy and was flustered. “Oh, an angel? I swear, she’s an angel!” One guy came beside the guy to see Ember, who just wriggled and try to kick the guy, “Back off bastard, I’m in pain!” Ember shouted. “Aww, c’mon sweetheart!” The guy pleaded. “No, don’t call me sweetheart!” Ember warned. “But we have to savor this moment!” The guy begged. Ember glared at the womanizer, “I don't think so.” She rejoined. “Can I at least know the name of this lost soul?” The guy said. Ember struggled against the pain, “Uh, Ember Lawless.” She answered. “Ember huh.” The guy said, he gives her a rose and said: “I give you this as a get well soon gift. Here.” Said the guy. Ember pushed the rose away, “Please!” She moaned and finally got to see the doctor but sends everyone away except the doctor, who examines her. The doctor pulled out his bag with a needle and thread but as he was creating the stitch, he didn’t do the anesthesia. Once poking the needle into her skin; Ember sighed while she composed herself. She learns that the guys she encountered with is Vincent Pratt and Claude Kinney. Ember then learns she is going to be staying with these people so Ember begs and demands for room in the instant. One of the employees seemed to found a room but people convinced her that this isn’t a good room because it’s a wreck. However; Ember held her hands up, “No, no—it’s fine. I just need something to block the other broken windows from view.” She said. “Like what?” The woman asked incredulously. There was a rip and Ember held out a purple fabric. “Um, a curtain?” She said like a ‘duh’. Ember marched away and set up the curtain as she replied, “Well ladies and gents, I’m going to sleep so good night!” Vincent and Claude watched her retreat to the room. “Um, would you like some company? I’ll send one of the boys in there if you want. You know, for company?” teased the employees. “I said, GOOD NIGHT!” exclaimed Ember, startling the others. That night, Ember couldn’t sleep at night and struggled to but then she grunted and sat up. She stared out of the balcony, where she begins to cry. And they stared at the stars and moon. The next day, everyone was at breakfast but no one didn’t see Ember so one of the maids decides to go get her and found her still sleeping in her bed. “Wakey-wakey! Look alive, sunny side breakfast awaits for you!” The maid said in a sing song tone. Ember ducked into the covers, moaning. “Wakey-wakey up! Up and at ‘em!” The maid said firmly. Ember groaned, “All right, all right! I’m up, I’m up, geez! Give me a minute.” She said in a groggy tone. Ember staggered out and rubbed her eyes. She sat at the table and dazedly looked at her plate in front. “What’s the Eiffel Tower doing here?” She asked. “Ember? That’s your breakfast.” The maid clarified. Ember was then wide awake, “Say what?” She inquired. “Morning, um…You hungry?” Claude asked nicely. “What’s this about?” Ember asked curiously. “Well, we got off to a bad start and I want to make it up to you. After all; you did had a horrible time yesterday.” Claude explained. “Um, thanks.” Ember said. “Eat up, we got a big day ahead of us.” Claude said. Ember smiled, despite herself and dug into her breakfast. Once everyone was done; Ember excused herself to get changed and left. It was then Vincent pulled Claude aside and hissed: “What the hell are you doing?” Claude looked at him, “What am I doing? I’m just being nice to her! What’s it to ya?” He demanded. Those two started arguing when there was a swift as everyone all ducked when a clean plate swing in and bam into something. Heads are raised from where they hid, Vincent held the back of his head and Claude clutched his shoulder. “Ow…” They moaned. They turned angrily and tried to find out who did it but they were shocked to see the doorway. The others followed their gazes and looked there with shocked. Ember panted, she was the one that threw that clean plate at Vincent and Claude. She gritted her teeth as she growled: “Are you kidding me?! It’s early in the morning and you two are fighting? Ugh! No way, no how, not today!” Then she exclaimed in a scary tone, “CAN’T YOU TWO GET ALONG FOR LIKE FIVE MINUTES?!” The maid stared at her friend, “Holy…” She muttered. The maid was about to advanced when the girls held Ember back and coaxed her to go get ready. When Ember came back from changing, her outfit was different—much to everyone’s surprise: Ember’s outfit was of Gothic and pastel. A black and baby pink top, purple jeans and black combat boots with pale blue laces. It was then Vincent and Claude learnt that they were gonna be working together with Ember, which Vincent and Claude despise each other but Ember outright refused! “Oh no, I’m not going with these two idiots who can’t stand one another!” Ember proclaimed. “I’m afraid you don’t have much of a choice, Ember. Gotta make do what you have.” The woman said. “Then, why did you set me up with them?” Ember demanded. “Good question, you should find out when you’re with them.” The maid remarked. “I rather team up with better people, not these two ingrates!” Ember replied. “Look you pristine brat, you’re not making my job easier and you’re coming whether you like it or not.” Vincent snapped. “Ha, you wouldn’t dare!” Ember scoffed. Vincent seized Ember and put her over his shoulder while Ember squirmed and thrashed. “Hey, put me down!” She protested while she is being taken away and still ranting. “Put me down or you will suffer the consequences, this is not dignify, put me down….” Ember exclaimed. The maid waved brightly, “Have fun you three, try not to kill each other!” She hollered cheerfully. Moments later; Ember had stopped yelling and calmed down. She just hangs there limply while Vincent carries her. Claude was talking, “OK, let me ask you, do you remember what the face or anything distinguishing? Do you?” He asked. “Like I said, I don’t remember.” Ember remarked. “Hmm, weird. Are you hiding something?” Claude asked. “No, I seriously don’t remember.” Ember insisted. “Don’t sweat it, she probably doesn’t remember much when she got a piercing.” Vincent joked lamely. Ember scoffs, “That was such a lame joke. That’s not funny.” She remarked with a smirk. “Want to know something funny?” Claude said with a sneer, “Vince here doesn’t have enough brains big enough for his muscles; they could likely drain his strength so much.” Vincent scoffs, “Ha, I guess you have the most issues with you being a lost cause to so many women.” He said. “C’mon Ember ain’t a hard catch.” Claude said. “No, she’s just bitten! Get it? Just bitten?” Vincent laughed.

Ember laughs along with him but then she kicks Vincent in the shin, he lets out a yelp of pain. Claude sneered in surprise. Ember lands on her feet easily; she flipped her hair with a “Hmph!” and then muttered, “Jerks!” Ember stalked off, muttering to herself incoherently. She was walking off when she heard them debating again: “I think we’re supposed to turn.” Vincent said. “I thought you know exactly where we were going!” Claude asserted. “Do we go left or right?” inquired Vincent in an irritated voice. Ember groaned, “What is it now?” She marched over to them, “What are you arguing about now, idiots?” Vincent showed her the map, “Where's north? Tell me which way north is on this map?” He demanded. Ember looked at the map, “North is always up, and, by the way, you've got it reversed.” She explained. “What? It's up? Reversed? Where the hell?” Vincent said. Ember looked in disbelief, “He doesn’t know?” She asked Claude. “Got poor direction.” Claude exclaimed. “Oh, brother. He's seriously nuts.” Sighed Ember. Later, they were still getting at each other: “I keep telling you, we gotta go north!” Ember exclaimed. “Sorry, but tell me again, is north the direction of the hand you hold your fork with?” Vincent asked. “This guy is really nuts.” Ember grunted. Vincent and Claude were still bickering when Ember heard a growl sound, she shushed the boys: “Shh, the hell was that?” That’s when they heard a roar! Just then, the creature exposed himself and jumped out; scaring Ember, Vincent and Claude! The creature completely skewed and scarred by fungus developed from their infected brains. The fungal plates have apparently adapted to keep the pathogen alive and able to spread, as a direct shot to the head with a powerful weapon such as a revolver will more often than not just break off a chunk of the mold, leaving the brain harmed but exposing the victim's head. The creature was dangerous and much more aggressive as it had bioluminescent vein in its head. They have fungal growths on the head and back with glowing white eyes, the development of pseudo-echolocation, and their discretion upon spotting a victim at distance. They strafe and take cover, eventually closing in on the victim, they charge directly at the victim. Ember stepped away but fell into a hole and realized Vincent and Claude are in trouble so she decides to save them but disguises herself. In an instant; Ember became a Goth girl with a red and black checkered skirt, a black smock with long sleeves, a pair of fishnet tights, fishnet gloves and knee high boots. And wore a black wig to boot! She then slipped out and found Vincent and Claude while sneaking behind them. “Hey!” Ember exclaimed. Vincent and Claude turned around startled as they saw her. “What?” They asked. “Are you Vincent and Claude?” Ember asked. Luckily, those two don’t recognize it’s Ember. “Yes.” Vincent replied. Claude became instantly smitten, “Well, you sure are a sight worth seeing!” He complimented. “Aww, how sweet! C’mon let’s blow this pop stand!” Ember replied sarcastically. “Hold it, where did you come from? Are you gonna kill us?” Vincent asked. “No, now get moving! We gotta bust a move!” Ember said. “Man, what’s with the makeup?” Vincent demanded. “It’s a guise, ‘kay?” Ember snapped. “Well, this is a first.” Vincent retorted. Ember turned to them in surprise, “First time being saved from a strange girl huh?” She asked. “Yup.” Claude said. Ember let out a yelp, she kicked down the door and hurried out. Just then, there was a blood curdling roar. “You didn’t slay that monster?” Vincent demanded. “It’s on my to-do list, now let’s Vamos!” Ember demanded. “What kind of girl are you?” Vincent exclaimed. Ember turned and sneered, “One hell of a kind!” She exclaimed. She used her powers to take down the monsters and managed to get the guys to safety. Once they were safe, Ember gasped for breaths. “That was wonderful! But unorthodox I’ll admit.” Claude said. “C’mon, that was lousy and you know it!” Vincent complained. “It wasn’t that bad, idiot! Besides, what do you think would’ve happened if this black haired angel didn’t come and save us!” Claude said. Ember cocked her hips and smirked, “OK, I hope you heard that right—He called me an angel.” She said. Then squealed: “He thinks I’m an angel!” Claude chuckled but Vincent rolled his eyes. “Mind taking off the guise?” Claude asked. Ember looked nervous, “Um…Nein!” She proclaimed. “Why not?” inquired Vincent. “I—I’m a frog princess!” Ember lied. “Oh don’t give us that crap, I’m sure you’re different from the other bounty hunters.” Vincent said convincingly. Ember was stunned to hear this: “Wait, wait a sec—you think I’m a demon?” Ember asked. “Um, yes.” Vincent said. Ember stared at them before bursting out laughing, “You guys think I’m a bounty hunter!” She said while still giggling. “What’s so funny?” Claude inquired annoyed. “Let’s just say I’m not what you think I am.” Ember claimed. “Of course you are, come on take-off the guise.” Claude said. “Um, no thank you! I’m not comfortable with this.” Ember said. “Remove the disguise.” Vincent said in a biting tone. “I’m not going to.” Ember said firmly. “Don’t make me pissed off, remove the disguise right now!” Vincent demanded. “No!” Ember exclaimed. “NOW!” hollered Vincent. “All right, all right, take it easy! As you wish, my liege…Dammit, cannot believe I’m doing this.” Ember said with a moan. Ember took out a handkerchief and wiped the makeup off while removing her wig. She noticed the two guys looked stunned. “Ta-da.” Ember said with a dramatic motion with arms in sarcasm. “I—it’s you.” Claude said stunned. Ember gave them a weird look, then she said with rolling eyes. “Ohh, were you expecting someone else?” She retorted. “I didn’t know that was…You….” Vincent said, truthfully, “That was all you?” Ember stood there confidently, “Aye sir!” She proclaimed. “You’re not exactly what I’d expected.” Vincent admitted. “Maybe you shouldn’t judge people before you get to know them.” Ember rejoined. She laughs while walking away when all of a sudden, she got pounced and rolled down! Ember struggled with the demon, who let out a raspy laugh and taunted her: “I’ll cut you in half! I’ll tear your heart out and when I’m finished, your body will be in---” But then, the demon was kicked and Ember gasped as she saw it was Claude who glared at the creature. “Damn, that was annoying!” Claude exclaimed. “Holy crow!” gasped Ember. Vincent looked annoyed, “Tch.” He tsked. “Ohhh, you ingrate human!!!” screamed another demon and the brethren started pounced. Weapons were triggered; Vincent seized Ember to protect her. But Claude didn’t hesitate to fight back against the monsters and took them out! Once he was done; he sighed and walked over to Ember with a sheepish smile. “Shall we?” Claude asked. He walked off as Ember stared with wide eyes. “Wait a minute!” She said, pushing Vincent back. She rushed after Claude as she was excited. “Hold the phone, where the hell did that come from dude?” Ember asked with excitement. “What?” Claude said. “Back there, that was the best damn thing I’ve seen! Where did you learn that?” Ember claimed. Claude looked modest, “Well, I trained a long time and it’s no big so…” He stopped and saw Ember’s bosom but his eyes widened. “You perv! Don’t looked at my chest!” Ember protested. “There’s an arrow in your chest.” Claude said calmly. Ember looked at him confused, “Huh?” She asked. “There’s a friggin’ arrow in your chest!” Vincent exclaimed. Ember looked down, “Oh hello there!” She said. The others came around and asked what was going on but soon saw the arrow in Ember’s chest: “OH CRAP!!! Is it in your lungs? Are you still OK?” The employee yelled. “Hey, hey, I’m OK.” Ember said calmly. “Keep breathing! Don’t move your chest so much~!” The maid exclaimed, waving her hands. Isabel comes to her rescue and convinced her to find plants as Vincent agreed so. The women are convinced and goes with the others. As they were gone; Ember cocked her head confused, “What’s the plants for?” She asked. Vincent glanced at her smugly, “To get rid of the others.” He remarked. “Ah, I see!” Ember said with a simple nod. “Now stay still so I can gouge this out.” Vincent said, pulling on the arrow which made Ember jump back. “Ow, easy man!” She squalled. “Sorry, but it needs to be dislodged.” Vincent protested. Ember backed away, “No, no don’t!” She said while Vincent chased her, “Hey, don’t move!” He hollered. Ember claimed, “I’m fine really.” Vincent grunted, “Stop it!” He growled. “Oi-vey!” Ember laughed a little. “Ember!” Vincent said with annoyance. Bonnie stopped and held a hand up quickly, “HALT!” Vincent froze, he made a face and put her hand down, grabbing her wrist in the process. Ember squeaked. “Fine, got any better ideas?” Vincent snapped. Ember turned to Claude and grinned, “How did you guess?” She asked. The women was looking for plants and yammering: “Let’s see, where—where--where? Ha, ha, ha, can’t find it!” Then, Ember’s yells caused the women but a girl is disturbed to think Ember’s gasping yelps sounded like she was having copulatory congress. “Ahhh! Seriously?” Ember groaned. Vincent had the arrow halfway out, “OK, calm down. I can see the head of it, it’s coming out a little…” He said. Ember grunted, she threw her hands up while saying, “ENOUGH YOU---!” But she accidentally fell onto Vincent and tripped Claude on accident. The three of them are embarrassed and discomfited. “Well, this is awkward.” Ember admitted. “A--hem!” A voice said. Ember, Vincent and Claude look up to see the girls smirking. “It’s not what you think…” Ember claimed, pushing the two away while composing herself. “We were um…” Ember started to explain but the women was shaking her head, trying not to laugh. “Look, if you wanted a ménage a trios, you could’ve said something OK?” One of the women joked. Ember shuddered, “No! I’m not that girl! Are you trying to assume I want something like that? It’s just simply—Ah!” She said but then she yelped when the arrow gouged out instantly. Ember turned around stunned to see Claude holding the arrow sheepishly. She turned to him, looking stunned. “….Ow.” Ember rasped. “Hey, what’s that?” One woman asked. “It’s blood.” The second woman remarked. “Yay!” The first lady cheered and fainted. Ember was surprised, Vincent sighed and picked up the woman’s body while carrying her. Then; Ember, Vincent and Claude while they arrived at a tall building. “There it is, Wild Fire. HQ before you.” Vincent said to Ember. “That's your hideout?” Ember asked. “Yeah, I know. It's pretty shady and crappy looking...” Claude retorted but Vincent steps on his foot. “Ow!” Claude cried.  “Um, I, uh- - I guess we better move on.” Vincent replied in an awkward tone. Ember nodded, “Sure. But, boys? I'm - - I'm worried about the girls.” She said. Vincent was confusing, “What?” He asked. “I mean, look at them. They don’t look so good.” Ember claimed. Vincent realized this and played along, Claude was surprised by what Ember was up to and smirked a bit. “What are you talking about? I'm fine.” The women assured cluelessly. Ember forced them to look at her in the eyes, “That's what they always say, and then next thing you know, you're on your back.” She paused and said, “…Dead from the neck up.” The woman looked shocked, while Vincent commented: “You know, she's right. You look awful.” Claude looked concerned, “Do you want to sit down?” He asked. “You know, I'll make you some tea.” Offered Ember. It was at this point, the women went into a comical freak out, which Isabel was left to comfort her as the others decided to rest for now. Later; Claude has built a fire and is cooking the rest of dinner while Ember eats. “Mmm. This is good. This is really good. What is this?” said Bonnie with a mouthful food while trying not to open her mouth too wide. “Uh, coq au vin.” Claude said. “No kidding. Well, this is delicious.” Ember remarked, smiling. Claude smiled, “Well, they're also great in stews. Now, I don't mean to brag, but I make a mean coq au vin stew.” He said. Ember and Claude chuckles until Ember sigh. “I never knew someone was so nice to me, I never had food this good before.” She remarked. “I'll cook all kind of stuff for you. Anything- - you name it.” Claude said with a grin. Ember smiles shyly, “I'd like that.” They smiles at each other. “Um, Ember?” Claude asked. “Yes, Claude?” Ember solicited timidly. “I, um, I was wondering...are you...” Claude started to say. Just then; Vincent appeared, “Hey, what are you two doing?” He snarled. Ember and Claude jumped back from each other in surprise, Vincent noticed. “What? Am I interrupting something?” He asked with a smirk. “Yes.” Claude scowled. “No—what is it?” Ember asked. “There’s trouble, you gotta come see this.” Vincent remarked. Moments after; Ember, Vincent and Claude saw a mass of destruction of some sort of building. “Oi vey, what happened here?!” exclaimed Ember. Vincent shook his head in disbelief, “Nothing... nothing at all.” He said. “What do you mean nothing at all?” demanded Claude. “Hey, how can I explain it? There’s no tracks, no footprints, it’s like nobody was here!” protested Vincent. “Now that is weird.” Ember remarked. “Tell me about it.” Vincent retorted. At that moment; Ember is in trouble as she encounters monsters but is saved by Vincent and Claude. It wasn’t until Vincent looked up and his eyes widened with terror. "LOOK OUT, EMBER!" He cried. Too late, she is being held hostage by a demon. The demon looked over and caused her to bleed. "Nooo!!!!!!" cried Vincent and Claude. The groups of demons were cackling with glee but they wouldn't laugh for long. Ember rise up, her eyes were hollow and black with red pupils. She had blood coming from her body. Vincent couldn't believe this; she was rising as some sort of undead being who was slaughtering the creatures in order to get her heart back. And she did kill them all, she butchered them. She beheaded them, and then she made their limbs go numb so she can split them apart in a grisly way. Vincent and Claude were shocked by this. They couldn't believe that someone like her would such things. Finally, Ember faced the lead monster, which it was holding her heart so she puts up a pretty good fight. She broke his legs and the heart went up, Briar caught it in her hand and placed it back in her chest. The hole in her chest closed up and she turned back to normal. Vincent and Claude could only stare at her in amazement. Who was this girl? Whoever she was, she was nothing out of the ordinary. Vincent is determined to take down who is responsible for all this. Ember wasn't watching him; she was watching him and Claude. Claude was listening to Vincent's rant until he spoke up. "Hey, not to burst your bubble but you think you can take on the monsters on your own? Those things may be pretty birds but they are deadlier than any wasp or hornet." Claude remarked. Vincent glared at back, "I'm prepared, and besides I'm not scared of some monsters. But you sound like you're not scared." He said. "Hey, as much as I try to speak my mind, I just want you to know that you could be part of a fatal mirage just by saying it." He said. Vincent stood up abruptly, Ember looked up with fear. "Is that so? Wanna bet?" asked Vincent. "C'mon, don't fight." The girls scolded. Claude stood up too, "Absolutely." He said. Just then, the loudspeakers blared as it startled everyone. The others were about to scatter out until Claude stops him. "My bad for what I said, I didn't mean such things." He said. Vincent nodded, "Me too."  It didn't last long: There was a lot of competition with these guys. Vincent struggled in the training, Claude smirks at him. "What's the matter? Not so tough isn't it?" He taunted. But Vincent pushed on, he managed to get stronger. Claude was angry that Vincent went up higher in the ranks by all he was trained for. Claude is stressed over Vincent trying to take the top. Claude woke up, stunt at this. He was fazed, but suddenly he could hear drums so he got ready and hurried to the training. "Claude! You're late!" shouted the instructor. Claude panted, "I apologize, sir! I have no excuse for being late." He said, saluting. The instructor nodded, "All right, get down to training with Vincent." He said, pointing over to Vincent who was waiting. "Sir, I'm sure he has better things to do..." complained Claude. But the instructor barked louder, "Don't protest, do as I say!" Claude sighed in defeat, "Yes sir!" He responded back loud and clearly. He hurried off to Vincent, "You look like crap, Claude." remarked Vincent. "Keep your trap shut, Vincent!" Claude said. The two of them spar against each other. Once it was over; Vincent looks at him and asked, "What's wrong with you?" "Don't give me that, like I need consent from a lethal asshole like you!" Claude exclaimed. "What? Anita making you all weird again?" said Vincent, sarcastically. Claude blushed, he hated it when someone teases him about his feelings for Anita, "No! Like I care what you think." He snapped. "Geez, you guys are acting like an angry marriage couple." A man shouted jokingly. Vincent and Claude glared at him, "Dream on!" Vincent called out. "Get over it!" hollered Claude. Before the fight, they taunted each other: "I’m grateful for your 'love'. Come on and we'll play this friendly match enthusiastically." said Vincent, smugly. "Yes, me too." Claude accepted. "I’m going to make you look sharp." Vincent said. Claude rolled his eyes, "You’re making fun of me." He said. "No, I swear I’m not." replied Vincent. They fought each other, Vincent strikes Claude but he didn't seemed to be unfazed. "That was one hit." claimed Vincent. "Well, let’s go on." Vincent said to Claude, motioning him. Their battle continued, none of the two can't seem to take a breath for one second. Heart pumping, nerves wrecking. Blood and wounds from each of their strikes. "Another hit. What do you say?" Vincent said smugly. "You got me, I admit it." Claude said. "Get ready for the third hit, Claude. You’re just playing around. Come on; give me your best shot. I think you’re treating me like a child." replied Vincent. "Oh, you think so? Bring it." Claude called. Vincent charges at him and strike Claude in his shoulder. Vincent and Claude were sparring with one another while everyone else watched. "What's wrong, Vincent?" Claude remarked, "Tired yet?" "Not exactly!" Vincent panted. He continued to fight as the others watched. Then, there was this laugh and everyone turned to see Ember, coming down the steps in a jacket and jeans with black boots. "You call that a battle?" She remarked, "Please! That was boring! Maybe I can demonstrate for everyone on how much a fighter I am." Looking at her with disbelief; Vincent asked: "You want to fight both of us?" Ember smirked, "Yeah, that's right." She said. Claude was calm but his tone was disbelief, "You can't be serious." He answered. Taking off her jacket; Ember revealed to be in a tank top, "I am dead serious." She said. Vincent and Claude glance at one another with their eyes before looking back at Ember, "You don't stand a chance." Claude warned. Ember cocked an eyebrow, she smiled in a mischievous way. "Wanna bet?" dared Ember, "Come at me." Vincent said, "You're gonna get hurt." Ember rolled her eyes, "Just do it." She said in an annoyed voice. Vincent went first, "Here I come." He said, letting out a growl however Ember dodged that, she used a kick to send him backwards. Vincent didn't flinched and tried again but Ember blocked that. The girls are smiled, their eyes were wide with impressiveness. Ember laughs, "You trust your eyes and strength too much, Vincent, you're not a chameleon you know. And neither you're a wrestler. Can't see everywhere at once." She said. But she didn't know, Claude grabbed her from behind, Ember managed to get away but Claude punched her. "Ohhh--!" One of the girls gasped, covering her mouth with both hands. Vincent smirked. Ember glanced over at Claude with a grin, "Bad move." She remarked. She took down Vincent and Claude one by one, but they still weren't going to back-down. Ember was excited, "Come on boys, I like the fitness program here--It's a good workout." remarked Ember. Vincent tried to attack however Ember was quicker, much faster! She was seized by her wrists by Vincent, but she clapped her hands together and took them down before he hit him baseball bat style. Vincent was stunt by that, "How is she doing that?" He asked. Ember shuffled, "You boys are tense, I'm calm. Fluid. You gotta be fluid--like water." She explained. Just then, Ember punches Claude hard and takes down Vincent with a round house kick. Everyone seemed impressed including the girls are rejoicing. Ember sighed; she wiped her sweaty forehead from the training. She smiles a little too proud but was confident in herself. Vincent looked at her with a speechless glance, Claude grunted in disbelief. Ember then said, “You know you two are becoming quite interesting. Hope we can do this again someday.” And then, she sashayed away! “Well, nice playin’ with ya.” She called over her shoulder.

Claude was hard to get along with Vincent. Vincent and Claude hate each other’s guts! They bickered; they annoyed each other and can’t stand each other. It was then; Vincent and Claude have been affected by one another in a negative way and lose sleep in their rooms over it. Both have mixed emotions on how they feel towards one another, they don’t know how they feel about one another. The two boys haven’t regretted what they’ve done, how they blame each other for nothing. The others could see and hear their arguments they have, no matter how Vincent and Claude feel bad for hurting one another although they weren’t going to admit! Though, they don’t want to speak out towards them, both Vincent and Claude the guilty feelings. It was then they hated every single attribute they possessed. For some reason, Vincent and Claude abhor and enthrall each other. Even though the two boys hated one another, they seem to like one another but this makes them sick—how could they care for someone they can’t stand each other. They loathed their foil and complete opposite but still have concern for the other as there is no reason to. Both of them are too upset to is no reason to think they’ll get along anytime soon, the two girls were horrible to each other and yet they can’t stop thinking about each other. And yet they still can’t one or both let things out. There were many things out! There was many things they dislike each other however despite Vincent and Claude hated them but they like one another and yet they don’t want to, they are quite fond of each other. For some weird reason, they want to be with one another though they wouldn’t admit it. Claude thinks Vincent wasn’t the right person as it was difficult to get along with him. Anytime they communicate and end up mistreating each other, the thought of Vincent made Claude’s blood rush in the pulse of his heartbeat. Claude didn’t expect it to happen, he feels he’s making a mistake of experiencing this infatuation. The next day; Ember, Vincent and Claude were quietly heading towards the location of where Andrea and the other sisters were. “This is the weirdest mission to be without anyone around.” Remarked Vincent. “Yeah, I have to agree on that. So, how come your boss let us go on this mission?” asked Claude. Ember smirked as she said, “’Cause I didn’t ask him.” Vincent and Claude looked at her in surprise, “What?” They both said. They looked at her with double takes before bursting out laughing, even Ember laughed with them. “Damn, he’s gonna kill you!” Kamoku said. Emily shrugged, “Screw the rules, we got a flying mouse to catch. And besides, I left him a note. Saying I was taking you boys out.” She remarked. Claude snickered, “Man, you’re evil Ember.” He said. “Takes one, to know one.” Ember commented. They reached to the abandoned building while looking up at it. “So, who’s ready for this?” Ember asked. “She’s in there, isn’t she?” Vincent asked. “Oh yeah, why don’t you step in my liege? Time’s—a—wasting.” Ember said, emphasizing on the words. The trio stepped in where they came across a lot of things that looked unrealistic. There were people murdered and using their wax-coated corpses as they looked to be in agony. While looking at them; one of the statues come to life miraculously and gripped onto Ember’s arm as he shouted chaotically: “HELP ME!!! GET ME OUT OF HERE, PLEASE!!!” Ember screamed, she freed herself as she and the guys got away before they found a different chamber in the abandoned building. Ember and the boys found lots of photos. More rarely, newspaper and magazine articles, time lines, address book information or videos are added. For extra creepiness factor, a couple of half melted candles are strategically located at the base of the shrine. There might also be locks of hair, trash, or other mundane items stolen. She has been stealing numerous artworks connected to love. Since she has a known obsession with Ember, Vincent and Claude. There was some others Emily encounters with. As they got closer, they saw murdered bodies in the next room--it was an appalling sight. There they could see Andrea is behind a back-lighted screen as a man's voice shouted, “PLEASE!!!! DON'T DO THIS TO ME!!!! I BEG OF YOU!!!” Nevertheless there was blood splattering against a wall and the guy lied there pleading but he dies of his wounds. A demoness appeared on sight, Ember’s stomach clenched. “It’s her!” gasped Vincent. “I know, I know.” Claude said back. It was then the demoness did a strange dance in the room. She took hold of the waltz position where her left leg straightened as the right bend slightly as she pivoted gracefully, the woman arched her body backwards and, the next thing the woman did was that she spins around to the beat and makes flirty gestures. During the dances; she made herself look sexy yet mysterious with her back to the trio. But glanced back at them slyly and has a mischievous grin on her face while Ember, Vincent and Claude stare at her in horror. The demoness was striking; she was wearing provocative clothing. She begins to make ominous remarks that frightened Ember and the two boys so much that their faces were filled with terror. "Hello Ember…Boys….Wanna play with me?" She said. Vincent shook her head, "No. I don't want to play your kind of games." He said. The woman looked annoyed, "Really? You're such a kill joy." she complained and smiled wickedly. "GET THE HELL AWAY FROM US!!!!" Claude cried. All three of them ran away but the demoness chases after them. She sent the monsters after them! The monsters cornered them however Ember found a door and tricked the creatures to follow. She lured them into thinking that they were in there and locked the door on them before nailing it shut multiple times. The bodies were piling up as Ember and the boys were confident to take down any other enemy until someone knock out all three and smiled darkly at their downfall. Moments later; Ember, Vincent and Claude woke up to see the demonesses standing over them. Then, the three of them felt their arms were bound by a force around their wrists as well as suspended up in the air. “What is this? What are you doing to us?” Ember demanded in a scared tone. The woman explains to the three captives: “You will see the purpose of your revenge…You will know fear, pain and agony….And writhe like scum you are!!!” The demoness screamed, her powers caused the trio to react to psychic torment and they were shouting in agony as well as begging for mercy. During this process, the demonesses are successful for breaking the minds of Ember, Vincent and Claude. Thus, they are taking control. Ember, Vincent and Claude's minds are assaulted with painful, horrifying visions, and their will broken. The trio were screaming from the painful memories inside their heads. The woman giggled at their suffering while she watched them writhed. “It’s quite like your life almost Ember, since what you are and what your father did to you. It’s not every day we get to meet a new member of the family.” Remarked the demoness, “We are alike and I feel that even if we are not related, we know each other so well.” Ember was pissed as she and the other two boys managed to get back to the ground. The demonesses looked back with horror across their faces. “YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW ME!!!!” Ember screamed hysterically. She and the boys escaped. Then in the night, the monsters were prowling about and looking for their next meal! Just then, there was a swift of movement and the Infestations were taken out—by someone none other than Ember, Vincent and Claude! Ember and the boys got to safer, higher ground. They turned to the enemies as they defeated the Infestations! “Let’s go!” Vincent said. “We shall.” Confirmed Ember. And off they went! “Ah, demons…Let’s take care of them.” Vincent said. “Hold on, Vince—I got this.” Claude replied. “Hey, save some for me.” Vincent said. They took down the Infestations and were incinerated on the spot. “Whoa, how did you do that?” Vincent asked eagerly. “Training.” Vincent said. “Oh, training. I guess we wouldn’t guessed that.” Claude remarked with sarcasm. Vincent glared at Claude. Claude just glared at Vincent and it looked intense. Ember sighed, “Oh geez.” She said while muffling her laughter. “So much resemblance…Boys.” Ember said. The two of them turned to Ember and said it almost at the same time: “Yes?” Ember spoke out firmly, “Not now!” She turned away and giggled. They moved onto their main tasks while saving innocent people locked in cages. Ember freed the citizens who were most gracious towards her! But more demons are coming as Ember and the guys hid from sight. “Great! Now what?” Ember asked. “Any ideas?” Vincent inquired. Ember gasped, “I got one! Promise you won’t get scared?” She asked. Vincent grinned, “Yeah!” He exclaimed. Ember unbuttoned her shirt a little, Claude is shocked. “What are you doing?” Claude demanded. Ember didn’t answer, she put her hand through her chest and struggled for a while until finally, she unleashed her powers within! Vincent and Claude stared in horror! Her eyes were hollow and black with red pupils. She had blood coming from wounds in her body. Her appearance was different: rounded eyes with black tears running down her cheeks, cracks alongside her head as well as her face and a heart shaped mouth with blood dripping down the sides of her lips. The demons gasped, “She has awaken.” They rasped. Ember turned as she exclaimed, “Time to raise some havoc, my darlings! The dogs of war are loose! Forgive me for my wrongs but….I HAVE JUST BEGUN!!!” Ember slaughter at about one third of demons, then she took down two fourths of them and she let out a cry where she unleashed a rage that scared the demons ran off! Later; Ember and the gang were seated around. Ember was still in her crazy doll form and she looked nervous. “Be honest boys, do I look that bad?” Ember said finally. Claude stare at her for a moment before answering, “…No.” Vincent turned to him angrily, “IDIOT!!! YOU HESITATED!!!” He shouted. “I DID NOT!!!” Claude exclaimed. Ember sighed, “Guys…Please don’t argue. Not now.” She said firmly. “You look attractive, pretty. Very good looking like that.” Claude lied brightly. “You’re kidding, right? You are hard to look at!” Vincent exclaimed. Ember grinned, “Really?” She solicited. “Like a dissected pig’s remains.” Replied Vincent. “Or a raw piece of meat.” Ember slammed a fist down with a tight smile, “Exactly.” She said. Vincent shook his head, “You look haunted.” He said. “You look like a demon cut in half and eviscerated all over the battlefield.” Ember’s eyebrows raised in amazement, “Thank you.” She said. Once that was over; Ember turns back to normal. Once again; Vincent and Claude were volleying insults with each other—once more! Ember got so irritated however she used her powers, causing Vincent and Claude to go crazy in humorous cases. Ember pretend to look angelic and innocent but a mischievous, devilish smile was on her face. She couldn’t help but giggle. When it was over; Vincent and Claude were confronted by Ember. “Are you able to get along with each other for five friggin’ minutes or more?” Ember asked. Vincent and Claude grumbled incoherently. “What was that? Shall I do it again?” Ember said. “No, no!” Vincent and Claude said in unison, a little too quickly. Ember nodded, “OK then….So I hope you two learn a valuable lesson from this because I really can’t stand another argument. I also want to point out that I don’t care who started, what the fight was about, etc. You two are acting like a bunch of kids, honestly! Don’t you ever care about each other? At all? If this is all you do to each other, you’ll be wasting time and tomorrow might be one day too late. You’ll miss out on a tremendous friendship, and I really mean it. I’m not expecting you guys to be friends, like overnight or pretend to be the best of friends when you can’t stand each other. I just want you guys to try and get along just a little. Would you guys try to get along? Please.” Ember asked.

“I don’t think we stand a chance against whoever that was.” Vincent spoke out. “No shit, maybe we should call it quits.” Claude agreed reluctantly. Ember looked at the boys in amazement and disbelief. “You two are pathetic, you aren’t strong enough! You want to defeat these savages? I expect better from you!” Ember scolded towards Vincent and Claude. “What? You’re calling us weak?” Vincent exclaimed. “Well, you sound like you want to give up! You’re a fool, Vince—Are you going to let your friend down? Will you avenge him or fall behind as a weakling?” Ember said, shoving Vincent to a pillar. She sneered at him as he cried out, “No!” Ember turned her attention towards Claude, “You are no different either, what about helping your darling? You care about her, don’t ya? What kind of brother are you if you give up? You are just like the other people, a coward!” She pegged. “That’s not true!” Claude protested. “Right! You don’t have the courage!” Ember said, pushing Vincent and Claude further. The girls and guys are shocked. “Ember, are you crazy?!” One of the girls exclaimed. “What you gonna do now boys?” demanded Ember, ignoring the girls. These two boys were increased into angry! “You want to see how piss we are?” Vincent exclaimed. “Yeah, I want to see!” Ember said loudly. “You really want to see anger?” Claude screamed. “Yeah, show it to me!” Ember cried. Everyone was nervous for the situation that was coming to a head! Ember looked with a calm expression upon her façade. The two boys grinned at her reaction. “You look scared, heh!” Vincent said with a smirk. Ember nodded, “Yeah, but not too bad.” She admitted. She wasn’t so shocked or scared. Claude leered down at her, “You’re gonna pay for what you said.” He replied. Ember reflected with her smirk, “I know, that was the idea of what I was doing.” She retorted. Vincent and Claude glance at each other with disbelief, then look back at her with a double take. “Wait, what?” Emily held her hands up calmly, “I was trying to get you guys there. Your breaking point, that’s what I meant.” She claimed in a matter of fact voice. Vincent and Claude glanced at her in disbelief. The others were both shocked and relieved at this sight. “No hard feelings right? We good?” Ember asked. Vincent and Claude were too shocked for words but only one of the girls chuckled, “Well! Clever girl.” She remarked smugly. “C’mon, got something better to do?” The girl remarked, walking past the others who followed her. She leaped to behind the bar and sighed as she got some beverages out. She acted like a sexy bartender, trying to be all charming and sweet. “All right kiddies, what’cha havin?” She asked casually. “What am I? Twelve?” retorted Vincent. The girl rolled her eyes and give him his drink. Then she glanced over at Claude, “How ‘bout you, troublemaker?” The girl remarked. Claude gave a look towards Vincent and pointed at him. “I’ll have what he’s having.” He said. Vincent looked surprised, Ember grinned and nodded, “That’s a good idea honey.” She said. Ember raised her drink in approval. Vincent glared at Claude, “Copycat.” He remarked. “Shut up.” Claude snapped. “Why would you have the same drink as me?” Vincent argued. “So what? Get over it!” Claude injoined. The two argued but Ember watched them speechless. Her expression changed from inarticulate glances to content. Then, smiles appeared on her faces. Then, she giggled quietly until she laughed out loud! Everyone was taken aback as Vincent and Claude turned to the girls, their heated discussion faded! Ember catches her breath as she said, “Oh my god! Isn’t this déjà-vu? Just like, you know--!” She tried to say but Ember burst out laughing again, guffawing like hyenas. Only the others were perplexed by this, not getting the so-called joke. The funny part was there was no joke to begin with. The girls smirked awkwardly but the others still didn’t see the humor. Ember calmed down, gasping for a mouthful of air. And it all got quiet. With a smug look, Ember said: “Don’t forget—we’re the psychos.” She smiled as she showed her incisors which only Vincent could see that Ember was different. “She’s right, what are we doing here?” One of the girls retorted with a smirk. Then she stated: “Let’s do something fun.” Ember, Vincent and Claude exchanged grins with one another. Afterwards; Ember, Vincent and Claude were on the rooftop as they saw monsters approached. It turns out that they were sent out because of someone asked them as a request. They also promised to give money once getting to the spot where the monsters are swarming the place. Ember, thinking it was good money, accepted it and convinced Lola and the gang to come along. She told them she would not tolerate any complaints as she wants everyone to work as a team. Not wanting to provoke Ember’s wrath; Vincent and Claude came along with reluctance. Now, here they were waiting the opportunity to strike. “Get in positions, boys. Stand by.” Ember commanded. She waited for one of her girls to come in. At that moment; she did came in and looked at the phone’s screen while shaking her head. “We have a problem.” She finally said. “What?” asked Ember, looking at her. “There’s no money in the account.” The girl said, she showed the screen on the phone there and Ember was in disbelief. “Seriously?” Ember said. Vincent and Claude glanced at her with a look and shakes her head. Ember groaned, “Mmmfh! Give me the phone.” She muttered. Claude looked at her with a glance of confusion, “What?” He asked. “Give me the phone…NOW!!! PRONTO!!!” exclaimed Ember. Vincent and Claude were startled, Claude immediately handed her the phone and Ember dial in the number before listening the phone rings until someone picks up finally. “What?!” The caller snapped. “Hey Fred my boy, this is Wild Fire Ember Lawless. The account here has zeroes here.” Ember said back in the phone. “No one gets paid until the job is done, got it?” The caller said in a growl-like tone. “Nope, that’s not the rules. No dice if there’s no cash.” Ember said back in the phone. She looked down below as she said, “Ah, the monsters are out. There are swarming like flies.” There were so many all over the place! Ember looked back to the phone where she saw the number zero still. “I’m still seeing nada.” She said back in the phone. “Money: Later. Do this shit that I told you!” The caller demanded. “Nah, I think we’ll leave them be. Not our problem anymore since we’re not getting the cash what cash is due from the Fredster.” Ember said. “OK…OK, OK, relax Wild Fire! There was a glitch. There, satisfied?” The caller said, Ember looked at the phone after it pinged and saw a hundred million there on the screen. Vincent and Claude smirked smugly. Ember didn’t notice as she put the phone back to her ear, “Double it, buddy.” Ember demanded. The caller growled back: “Devlin, you bitch. You got some nerve to mess with people like me. I hope I get to gut your insides out.” The other two looked in shock upon hearing that, Ember was not impressed by those words either! “Whoa, whoa! Was that a threat?” Ember asked, “You won’t get to hear from me. Next time if you ask us in the future, maybe we shouldn’t help those that threaten us.” The caller was annoyed, “You crazy li’l…” He was about to say and the phone binged as the money was raised to billions. Contented; Ember smirked along with the others before saying back into the phone, “Pleasure doing business with you, Freddy.” And hangs up. At once; Ember shouted: “Battle stations!” She and the others went after the monsters! Later, Ember and the others were done for today while also getting back to the agency. Ember came up to the booth and smiled at the grumpy merchant behind the glass. “Tickets for six, please.” Ember said to the ticket booth vendor. The vendor replied back, “Exit visa.” Said the ticket vendor. Ember and the others stare at each other as she asked, “Wha--? Exit visa?” The vendor exclaimed, “No exit visa?? NO TICKET!!!!” and shuts the window. Ember stared in disbelieved, “Hmph, rude!” She muttered. “Now what?” Vincent asked. Ember sighed, “I don’t know. Just let me think.” She said while rubbing her forehead. Vincent looked at her, “What? You don’t have an idea?” He demanded. “Will you just leave her alone?” Claude exclaimed. “Hey, back off!” Vincent said, pushing Claude away. “Don’t you do that!” Claude exclaimed. One of the girls got irritated for hearing the arguments! “WILL YOU PLEASE JUST SHUT UP?!” The girl shouted. Ember came beside her and the girl turned around as she dramatically gasped. “Thank goodness it's you!” The girl exclaimed. She points to Vincent and Claude as she continued: “Just please remove these troublemakers from my sight...” Ember looked at the four and addressed at them, “What have you boys done to her?” The boys looked up in disbelief as they claimed in unison as they pointed to one another, “Me? It's him!” The four of them glared at each other, the girl threw her hands up and snarled: “HA!” She walked off as she sighed, “Men are such babies.” The girl mumbled.

“Forget it. You'd need the cure to do that.” Claude remarked. “The what?” Ember asked. Claude is about, “The… nothing! I didn't say a thing! I was— I was talking to myself!” He claimed. Ember grabbed him. “You know it, don't you?” She said. “No, no, no, don't make me tell! It's dangerous! I'm allergic to danger. I break out in DEAD!” Claude asserted. The monsters were leering over him and Ember held him towards him, threatening. Ember warned, “Talk! Or you'll be something to eat at!” Claude shook his head, “No way! I'm a sane person, not a lunatic.” He said. The monsters growled, Claude panicked. “Okay, I'm a lunatic, I'm a lunatic!” Claude claimed. But he is unwilling to help Ember but Ember could see one of her girls were suffering. “My friend needs help.” Ember claimed. Claude stopped her, “Stop right there! You've got that ‘let's put the guy in jeopardy’ look in your eye.” He noted. “C’mon, you know I'd never ask you to do anything dangerous.” Ember said. “Really?” Claude asked. Ember grabs Claude by shirt, “So I won't ask.” She said. “I knew there was a catch.” Claude groaned. Later; Ember, Vincent and Claude were on his way to the destination: “Are you sure we're heading the right way?” Vincent asked. “Trust me, I'm part sane.” Ember said. “And part crazy. Ha, you're more crazy than natively sane!” Vincent mocked. “Drags me into spine-mangling peril, then mocks my lineage. What a pal.” Claude replied. But they managed to find the location. “Told ya so but let me remind you of the three great obstacles.” Claude reminded. Ember nodded, “I remember. What happens if we fail?” She asked. “What do you think happens? A warm handshake and a hearty ‘fare thee well?’ No! It's wham and we're mushy paste!” Claude claimed. “…Mushy paste?” Ember asked nervously. “Not unlike hummus.” Claude explained. “We're quivering, we're quivering!” Ember whimpered. “What are we, aardvarks all of a sudden? It can't be done! Oh, I'm dead. I'm a bucket of Extra Crispy!” claimed Vincent. “Would you like some salt with your foot?” Claude retorted to Vincent. “Uh, if this is a dramatic pause, it's gone too far. ANSWER THE MAN!” Ember exclaimed. However; they managed to get the cure and save one of Ember’s girls. Claude looked at Vincent, looking for a thank you but Vincent doesn’t. “Do I get a thank you? Oh, noooo. Ingrates.” Claude muttered. Later; Ember, Vincent and Claude hurried away to demons to run away. “When will those bastards get a clue? I'm a free girl. I don't do shit like this anymore. Oh, the nerve of that guy, stealing my necklace.” Grumbled Ember. “Yeah, and he stepped on one of your girls!” reminded Claude. Ember chatters angrily. “Kleptomaniac! Woman masher! When I get my mitts on him, pow!” She smiled psychotically. “Ember, in front of you!” Vincent and Claude cried in unison. The tracks end at the top of a dune. The three go off the edge and hang in the air for a moment. “Whoopsie.” Ember squeaked. They fall but managed to get down safety. “Huh, try telling HIM THAT!!!” Vincent remarked. “SHUT IT DIPSHIT!!!” Claude shouted. “HORN DOG!!!” Vincent countered back. Then, Vincent and Claude grunted as Ember exclaimed, “ZIP IT YOU TWO, OR I’LL CHOKE YOU SO HARD YOUR LUNGS WILL BE LIKE PANCAKES!!!” One of the girls was getting annoyed, “Cut it out!” She said while trying to pull Ember away. “I WILL NOT YIELD, THESE BOYS ARE DRIVING ME NUTS!!!” Ember yelled. “WE’RE DRIVING YOU MAD?! COME ON, YOU’RE DRIVING YOURSELF CRAZY IN THAT MONKEY SUIT!!!” Vincent accused. “WHAT DO YOU THINK I AM, YOU? CASSIE HACK?!” Ember spat. “Ember? Have mercy!” Claude whimpered. “I’M NOT TAKING FAVORS, NOT TODAY! NOT EVER, EVERYONE IS EQUAL AS I AM!!!!” Ember ratted. “WHAT? WHY NOT?!” Claude shouted. “FIRST OF ALL, DON’T BE ALL SAPPY IN YOUR NICKNAMES AND SECOND, YOU TWO ARE GONNA SUFFER BY MY HANDS!!!” Ember explained. There was a door that opened and feet walked in. "You're late!" The instructor shouted. Claude was respectfully, "My apologies, sir. I have no excuse for being tardy." He replied. The instructor then turns to the others, "Everyone; please meet Claude." He announced. Vincent stopped dead in his tracks, "What? Claude?" He thought. He couldn't believe it, Claude is here? "Please, make them feel welcome." said the instructor. Then he ordered the others to resume with the training. Later, Claude was in the men's room by the sink. His hands washed his face as he took deep breaths. "This isn't happening....This isn't happening....!" He chanted to himself. There was a toilet flush, shifting sounds, and one of the stall doors opening. Vincent walks out but stops to glare at Claude. "Hello Claw." said Vincent. Claude glares back, "Well, well, if ain’t Vinny." Claude countered. Vincent turns and walks away. Afterwards; Vincent is fuming when he heard something. Their shoes squeaked so loud that it hurt Vincent's ears slightly. "Hello, anyone there?" Vincent called to the dark silhouetted figure. "You OK?" said the figure, Vincent was annoyed. He knew that voice, "You...What are you doing here?" He demanded. Vincent stepped out of the shadows, "You look like you need someone to lean on." He remarked. "I don't need to lean against your diseased shoulder to shed my problems on." Vincent snapped. Claude rolled his eyes, "Look, you don't like me and I don't like you. Let's try to get along better." He said. Vincent looked at him, he sighed. "Fine. Whatever." agreed Vincent. Claude nodded, "All right then." He replied. It was quiet for a moment and neither of them spoke. "So, you having a hard time?" Claude asked. Vincent looked angry, "Why do you care?" He demanded. Claude looked guilty, "I'm sorry for what I've done. I mean, about Ember but I think she's pretty. She's kind--" He said. "--She's talented." finished Vincent. "Yeah, but she's not too nice if you push the wrong buttons." explained Claude. Vincent scowled at him, "Like you'd know her." He muttered. Claude looked at him surprise. "Huh. Does somebody have a crush on her?" He teased. Vincent blushed, "Shut up." He whispered. Claude laughed, "It's all right, I won't tell." He said. But Vincent got up, "I'm leaving." He said, storming off. "Hey, can't you take a joke?" called Claude. In a while; Ember opens a chest and pulls out a sheathed sword. She unsheathes it and holds it before her, running her hand down the flat side of the blade, smiling. She deliberately, she practices her swing while still crooning and twists her sword. She stopped singing while letting out a slight sobbing spasm and wipes her eyes. Someone approaches from behind; she swings it behind her! Vincent meets her swing with his blade. Ember's face does not soften at his gaze. With a swift move, Ember swings her sword, throwing Vincent's arm and sword to one side, rendering him vulnerable and gaining the upper hand.
