Cosmic Convergence--Chapter 3

This is the third chapter of Cosmic Convergence, where previously Emily nearly loses it and she didn't know what came over her now though she is thanked by other troubled girls that were her enemies. Chapter 3: Dark Matter of Things

Losing control of herself; Emily almost went on a riot as she almost destroys everything in her path with her powers. Just then, there was something that stopped her in her tracks. "Emily! Emily!" A voice called out. Emily screamed out, "Get away from me, please!" However; a familiar woman in a white buttoned shirt and black leather skirt approach her. "No, it's me! Bonnie Jo Mason. Do you remember?" She called out. Emily ceased the terror she's causing, "Yes..." She said. And Emily passed out. When she awoke, Emily saw someone next to her as it turns out to be Master Kostas. “Master, I…” She said. She begins to cry but Gevrog embraced her. “It’s all right.” He said. From afar; Dennis, Sean, and Bonnie watched Emily’s emotional breakdown as they feel bad for her. Previously; Emily and the others heard a growl. And that's when she knew something was out there. And ran! As Emily ran, someone tugs on her arm: "Um, excuse me miss?" A voice said. Emily turned and saw there was a girl wearing a red jacket with a hood and hands her something. Emily looked at it, "Oh! Thanks." She said. As she put her item away, Emily looked at the girl and was surprised to see she wore a short white dress with the red jacket. It looked ripped and stained, "What happened to you?" asked Emily. "Oh, nothing. I always dress like this." The girl said shyly. Then noticed the bag and asked: "What do you have in the bag?" Emily peeked in the bag, "Just some stuff, nothing really important." explained Emily. The girl looked back at her, her stomach rumbled. "Do you have something to eat? I'm hungry." She asked. Emily shook her head, "I'm sorry but hey, why don't you come with me and maybe we'll find some food." She said. The girl wouldn't budge so Emily shrugged, "All right, why don't you stay here? I'll be back with food." promised Emily. She was about to turn and walk away but the girl cried out, "PLEASE!!!! I'M STARVING!!!!" Emily looked back, "Do you want to come with me or not? I won't let you go hungry but if you come with me, I promise I'll get you food." Emily called out. The girl trembled and looked up with vulnerable eyes, "I--Um---Are you lost? I'm lost." She said. Emily was confused by the girl's moods. "What is wrong with her?" thought Emily. The girl sniffed the air and said, "I can smell it, a wolf is here....Isn't it?" She purred. Emily was puzzled, again, she had no idea what she was talking about until she heard a growling sound--It was a wolf! The girl pulled out an ax and attacked it violently. Cutting up the monster into pieces over and over again without stopping. Emily witnessed this in great terror and the girl glared back at her. "You sent the wolf after me, didn't you?" She snarled. Emily took a step back, the girl kept swinging the ax and tries to kill Emily, but Emily dodged her and managed to fight her. Just then, the girl was so crazy that she almost fell on her own ax and with a help of Kevin and his friends to calm her down, thus Emily saved a life of the girl. Emily and the others then got a phone call from Dylan, who congratulate her and told her that this ax-crazy girl is known as Aricia Tomkins. This was her story: Aricia had got lost in the forest one day. Darkness was quickly setting in and she was becoming more and more nervous by the second. She didn't want it to end up like last time. She heard a rustling sound from behind her and turned round to see what it was. Nothing was there so she carried on wondering further into the unknown. Again the rustling sound came from behind her, louder this time. She turned round again to see what was there but all there was were the tall, grey trees looming over her in the darkness. Petrified, she ran. Soon she was more lost than ever and just wanted to be at home with her family. "Why had I decided to visit my grandma?" Aricia asked herself "Why do I have to get lost so often?" Soon after her fright, Aricia came across a little tree stump, she sat down on it and tried to think of a way out of the forest. Suddenly she heard that rustling sound behind her again, closer than last time. She turned round to see a huge pair of yellow eyes glaring at her, a low growl rumbled through the forest and that was when she realized it was a wolf. The shadowed figure walked out from the gloom and circled her twice before smiling at her, an evil, hungry smile. Terrified, she looked around to find a suitable weapon. A large ax lay on the ground a few meters away from where she sat. If she could just reach it then she could finish the wolf off. She sprinted for the ax, grabbed it and spun round just in time to make the blade collide with the wolf's side. The crack of bone could be heard from a mile away and the wolf gave out an outrageous scream before it lay limp on the ground at Aricia's feet. And that was when her obsession started. Afterwards, Emily and the others got chills from the story and couldn't help but shuddered at this however she kept her head high as her next target will be Amira ‘Mira’ Snow. Emily and the gang walked down the path while looking around, she could've sworn that she heard moaning and incoherent shouting the dark mists of the forest. Her heart was racing and her palms were sweaty. She had less than five minutes to destroy the creature in the woods. She looked and saw a knife. Without thinking what she was about to do, Emily threw the heavy blade straight into the creature's shoulder. There was a scream coming from the creature that made her ears vibrate. 

The creature turned out to be a monster girl that try to attacked Emily, which they both fell to the floor instantly, it was none other than Mira Snow and she was now undead so Emily used her powers to apprehend her, knocking her out. Not long after; Emily and the gang received word from Dylan, who tells her the chilling story of Mira Snow: the apple was so red, so delicious looking, and the woman seemed so harmless, so she ate it. As soon as her lips touched the crimson apple, Mira fell to the floor. She was instantly dead. Sadly for her, no prince charming came to save her. However, Mira weren't really gone. Her soul came back to look over her dwarfs. People would see her in the woods near the old cottage that once belonged to some poor girl who died a sad death. She was known as "The Maiden of the Cottage". Mira would stand outside, luring people into the cottage, so the hungry little friends could eat. Now; Mira sat at her dressing table in the dwarfs’ cottage, staring at herself in her magic mirror. She had already asked it many times that week who was the fairest of them all but she just couldn't help asked once again. "Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?" Mira asked in her gentle voice. To her horror the mirror said "Your mother is the fairest of them all." To head such words made Mira so angry she set out on a little mission. She walked into her bathroom and took out the little tube of poison from the cabinet. She got an apple from the fruit bowl and put a couple of drops of poison on it. That is all it took. She hid it in a basket surrounded with other apples then dressed up in an old cloak with a hood and set off on her way to visit her mother. When she got to her mother's house she knocked on the door. Her mother bites into the apple. The apple was not poisoned so she would die, it poisoned her sanity, and she lay into a coma and would not waken until her prince charming came. She woke up saw her prince charming, screamed and started to eat him until he was dead, the apple had made her into a zombie, killing whoever she liked, she clawed 3 dwarves to death and changed the other 4 dwarves into hungry zombies, they stayed hiding in the forest for animals and people to eat. However, Mira killed her mother in the process and ended her terrain. Next on the list was Pua McLove, she wasn't going to be easy like these other two girls. While on her destination with her allies; Emily was reading a book when she dozed off. By the time she woke up, Emily saw a garden full of weeds and pumpkins. Just then, Emily could see a girl covered in stitches as she smiled as she said, "Welcome to my ball, a dream isn't it?" Emily looked around her, "What?" She said. The girl then was in blue rags and she looked quite strange but then she found Emily was an intruder as she attacks her with help from her demonic friends. Emily managed to fight them all and defeated them but not the girl. Emily came over and saw the girl crying, "The ball....my prince....they took them away from....me...." Then, she put her face down and she fell unconscious with tears streaming her face. Emily watched her sadly and then, she carried the girl. Just then, Dylan contacted her and told the tale of Pua McLove, the girl she just carried back: Pua was a servant girl for her evil stepmother and ugly step sisters, invite to the ball, her friends help make the dress and everything she go down stairs showing off her new dress ready to go, the stepsisters tear it off and ruin it, so she doesn't go. Pua runs to the garden and fairy godmother comes, she was fascinated by her magic when she gave her a dress a carriage horses and foot men. At the ball when she was looking for the grand hall she could see a soothsayer and ask him about fairies and about their magic. "If you kill a fairy their power will go into the nearest living thing and you own their powers to do with it what you will. However fairies are just a myth," The soothsayer said, but Pua knew they did exist, so as she found the hall, the prince saw her and started to dance with her, Pua enjoyed herself but at the same time thinking about having the power to make her stepsisters and stepmother suffer for everything they done. After she rushed home with her clothes turning into rags Pua thought long and hard if this was the path she wanted to go down. When she got home from the ball, she was happy as could be. But someone wasn't. Her stepsister had discovered who she was, and she was very jealous. She viciously killed her, ripping her apart. Later, Pua’s friends and 'godmother' found her body and they sewed her back together. Pua came back to life. The next day the royal carriage stopped outside bringing out a glass slipper for all the ladies to try on, this made Pua furious, later on that night she called her fairy godmother and she felt sorry for poor Pua, but moments after she comforted her, Pua stabbed her through the heart. The power from the fairy flooded into her. Her appearance changed as she had straw like hair and greenish skin. She had sharp fingers and razor teeth and pushed out skeletal wings but she loved it. At the dead of night she took over took the kingdom and killed many people and she made her stepmother and stepsisters into your personal slaves which also loved to tease, torment and torture. She lived happy causing madness across the land. Today she patrols the pumpkin garden, and if anyone comes near, she ripped them apart. They call her "The Maiden of the Pumpkins". 

Now that was over, Emily and the others were going off to face Bethany Norman! Later, Emily and the others was exhausted from the day they all had and it was almost getting dark soon so they decided to spend the night at a strange castle so she went there and found that the door was ajar. She was so curious that she decided to go in and found it empty. She closed the door behind her and the gang, calling out: "HELLO!!!!! ANYONE HOME!!!!" Nobody answered and Emily & the gang moved around with caution. She found a room with the door halfway opened. As Emily opened the door, she saw that there was a plain white dress. She turned around and she saw a bunch of wolves before her. She fought them off and ran for her life from any more danger. She managed to calm down while she found another room from the wolves. Then found a weapon and a message: "YOU WILL NEED IT!!!" in red letters. Emily was confused by this, "What does this mean exactly?" She thought. The weapon inside says an inscription that says: "THEE WHO HAS FOUND IT MUST USE IT AGAINST THE DARKEST OF EVIL!" Emily was puzzled and tucked it in her front pocket. "Lovely, isn't it?" A sultry voice of a young woman asked. Startled, Emily and the others turned around to see a dark haired woman, fair skin and a rose pinned to the blouse of her dress. "Oh, I'm sorry. I was just...." Emily started to say, but the woman laughed. "Now, now, don't be frightened. It's all right, you can stay here. Please, wait here while I got and fetch you some food and water." She said with kindness in her voice. Emily and the gang were grateful and sat there, waiting but she was curious to know that there was another door. She could've sworn that she could smell a particular stench that didn't seem right. Opening the door, Emily made a gruesome discovery: Bodies, corpses of people were there....Their bodies torn apart and blood oozed on the floor. Emily was terrified as the hairs on the back of her neck stood up when she sensed someone behind her. The woman grinned darkly back at Emily, her eyes were glowing white and no pupils were in them. "Awww, it's not nice to sneak around in people's houses...I believe, it's time I teach you....A LESSON!" Then, the woman transforms into a female werewolf and fought Emily and her friends, who dodged her with their abilities and remembered the weapon in her pocket as she used it against the woman. The weapon was a silver knife that smelled of mistletoe and wolfs-bane. The werewolf try to get away, try to bite Kevin and his friends but Emily was stronger and struck the werewolf, knocking her out. Then, the wolf turned back into a woman, as she was taken away! 

Then, Emily and the gang got out of the castle and went away but got a call from Dylan after hearing the sounds of wolves howling in the distance. Emily begins to listen to the story of the she-wolf, Bethany Norman: Bethany's dad gets lost finds castle and ends up imprisoned in there. She went to look for him and traded herself for him and she got her wish, the Beast scared her one night when she was snooping around so she ran off and got surrounded by wolves as one of them bit her. Seconds later; the Beast came and fought them away and instead of him being on the horse and is guiding it back to the castle he carried Bethany back there due to the fact she was unconscious. Bethany woke up in a bed feeling weak but different, she wasn't her normal nice, kind, generous self and so she pretended to be what she usually is until she found out what happened to her. A few days later she became angry and greedy a dark side occurred inside of herself where she wanted so much, she lost control of herself. Bethany burst in drooling when she saw the Beast, he was about to cry when she jumped over the table and pinned him down to the ground and roared in his face. “Bethany, I love you, I know you love me to, please don't do this,” He whispered, she didn't care and she ripped off his head and howled and she heard other wolves howling back in the distance. Anyone who dared to come to the castle would have to answer to her. From this day on, Bethany became known as "The Maiden of the Castle", Many people see her dancing out at the castle gate, luring them into her castle for her next meal. Emily had to stay strong or else she might as well as lose it. She had the next girl coming and it was Kathy Terry! The next morning, Emily could see it was light out. So she got her things and left the motel she stayed at with her friends following, they were suspicious of her perseverance behavior and were curious but Emily stated: “We have a job to do so nobody quits until we’re finished.” She claimed. It begin to feel as if someone was following her so Emily picked up her pace and begin to walk quicker with each step she made. But then, she stumbled and fell down, and then everything went black. The next thing happen was when Emily sat straight up, her eyes fluttered opened and looked up. There she was in her room as she wondered what was going on now. She realized someone was coming in to check up on her, so she relaxed her face and closed her eyes. Then, someone sighed: "You think I'm going to fall for that trick? C'mon, I know you're awake darling." The voice said in a Russian accent, it was hard to tell. Emily looked up and saw a woman so fair and beautiful with blonde hair. "I don't think you asked but it's OK, you looked like you hit something hard and fell in." said the woman. "Oh, I didn't mean to--" Emily said, "I was just lost and confused. I thought maybe I would find someone here." The woman looked at her; she looked over and sniffed her. She grinned and Emily was startled to see her incisors, no her fangs! "You smell so juicy, darling. I'm very parched so if you don't mind...." The woman said, leaning over to her next but Emily fought back and used a stake against her. The woman slapped it away, "You think that's going to work on me? You got to be joking me, darling!" She laughed. Emily was running out of ideas, she had used the garlic and the holy water but nothing worked. She couldn't believe it, "What kind of vampire is she?" She thought. The woman attacked but Emily fought back and then, she took a cross and caused the woman to return to her normal self as she turned out to be a half breed vampire. Emily was exhausted that she almost passed out again. She got a call from Dylan again--Like the hundredth time as he tells the origins of Kathy: In her dream as she slept, Kathy was waiting for her prince to come. He never did. She was assumed to have died and rotted in the tower. One thing happened during the time when she was sleeping. During her sleep a bat ended up in her room, not just any bat—it was a vampire bat, which bit her and she was going through the transformation whilst she was sleeping. After her prince charming came to your tower he saw her lying there looking fair, beautiful and had to kiss her, so he did as he was fore told to do, he kissed her cherry lips. Kathy woke up happy to see her hero, but really she didn't care. Kathy hugged him however it was a trick as she flipped him over pinned him down on the bed and started to suck his blood from his neck leaving him drained and very dead. However, she was not finished on this earth. She would always go back to the forest she had come to know and love. People see her gracefully dancing through the woods, singing her mournful song. She felt so free and wild she loved it and she flew about the kingdom choosing victims and drinking them dry, she hid in the forest so no one knew exactly where she was, it added to her fun when hunters tried to find her but none were successful. She lived forever as a vampire looking for victims and never for love. She has come to be known as "The Maiden of the Forest". If anyone ever tries to come near her, she set her protector, the Dead Owl on them, and they are never seen again. Later, Emily and the others headed off after hearing that terrible story as she was off to her next destination--After Zizi Phelps! Up-to-the-minute; Emily kept moving as she saw many ghouls so she took them out, ate them--It was feeding time, anyway. She went and found an alley but it seems there was a dead end however she moves closer as she thinks there could be a way to get away, like a right turn or a left. So she proceeds down the alley, however a woman limped over to her. Emily moved towards her cautiously, "Why do I always have to trust the ones trying to kill me in the end?" She thought with dread. If she was going to find the next Dark Girl then she was going to take names and kicked ass soon. The woman came to help Emily and the gang as she took them to her house--A tower and then gives her hospitality. But then while Emily was alone, the girl tried to kill her with a frying pan! Emily sensed this and dodged her. The girl swung her frying pan around like a maniac however Emily tackled the pan away and hit the girl with brutal force of her telekinesis, knocking her out cold. Just then, the tower begins to crumble as Emily and the others escaped from there with the girl. She got another phone call from Dylan who tells her the tale of Zizi: Zizi was born into a royal family, her mother and father cared for her and loved her very much. One day, whilst picking roses from the palace gardens, Zizi cut her finger on a thorn. She couldn't understand what the liquid was, oozing from the wound. She went to her mother, the queen, and asked her what it was. Her mother said "It is blood darling, but yours is a yellow color... That is very unusual!" A doctor was summoned to inspect the blood; he said that the young princess had the ability to bleed gold. She was very privileged to have such an amazing ability, but as soon as the public found out they started to try and kidnap her. Her parents set up as many security systems as possible but no-one could have prevented this one thief. One night while Zizi was sleeping, a dark figure climbed through the window into the princesses’ pretty bedroom. The thief took the child from her bed and ran away into the night. Her parents were devastated when they woke to find their daughter missing from her room without a trace. Zizi was locked in a tower for years and years afterwards, the country stopped looking for her and everyone carried on their lives like normal. The thief, an old woman, came to the tower day after day with food and water for her prisoner, each time calling "Darling Zizi, let down your hair" and every time Zizi let her long blonde hair cascade down the tower wall to the ground so the woman could climb up. One day a young man of around twenty five came across the tower whilst on a stroll. He called up to the open window to see if anyone was inside. At the sound of a different person’s voice, Zizi ran to the window and let down her hair so the man could climb up it. When he reached the top he took one look at the princess and remembered her ability to bleed gold. He instantly got greedy and managed to find a knife to attempt to kill her with so he could take the gold inside her. When he lunged for her heart, the knife outstretched in his hand, Zizi ran behind the man and tied her hair around his neck. She then carried him to the window and let her hair and the man hang down the tower wall. He died instantly and so Zizi took the knife, which was now lying on the floor and cut off her golden locks a jumped out the window to her freedom. She was never seen again. Now Zizi lived alone. Until a man came to visit. He was trying to save her, but she had developed a little bit of a trust issue being alone all those years, so you hit him over the head with a pan until he died. She did that to everyone who came to your tower. She went insane being alone in the tower, surrounded by all the dead bodies. People called her "The Maiden of the Tower" and many adventurers would come to see if the rumors were true, but they never made it back out. 

Now all the other girls have reformed and gave their gratitude towards Emily Grynte for what she done to them. She helped them realize that they have done so they decide to go on missions with Emily in their next assignment! Emily and the rookies can finally get to their next assignment in a place called Desolation Row. Upon arrival; Desolation Row was hell, it had always been to hell. "What is this place? Oh god...!" gasped Emily. Her friends observe this from the screen before them as they couldn't believe this was Desolation Row, it was a nightmare. Destruction, like the apocalypse. What kind of world was this? Aricia was panicking and freaking out as she begins to lose her mind a little by the shock she was seeing of this place. Emily and the others were shocked to see a monster confronting her. Then Emily could hear its thoughts. "You--you want to eat me? No, I won’t let you!" said Emily to the monster. She flexed her hand and uses her telekinesis to kill this monster. The monster convulsed, it twisted, and then finally; it exploded! There was a mass of beige substances splattered all over her! Emily was stunt for a while before a grin broke over her face. She giggled to herself, "I did it! Ew....I really did it! I can't believe it! I just nobody saw--" She turns around as her smile faded. "--That." What she saw was a 15 year old boy. Chocolate brown hair. Red eyes. Light skin. Buttoned shirt, a cap on his head, it looks like. He was a teenage soldier, who looked horrified at Emily. He saw it, he saw her kill that beast. "Oh crap." Emily thought. "Busted! How do I get myself out of this?" She slowly smiled kindly, "Hello there---" she greeted but the boy lunged at her, "AAAAHHHH!" He cried. The boy begin to claw at her like a wild man. Trying to punch her but Emily restrained the boy. "Hey! Hey!" She protested, the boy did not yield. "Stop! Cease! Take it easy! Will you stop?! I am not going to hurt you!" Emily held the boy's fists away from her. "Who are you?!" The boy demanded. "My name is Emily. I swear, I will not hurt you. Here, I am not going to hurt--" She reaches over to touch his face but the boy recoiled away. "Get away, no! Don't you dare--Don't--" But he was helpless, Emily was calm as she stroke her hand on his face. At once, Cassandra could read his mind, know his name. But not completely of a lot. "Did you seriously kill that Wendigo?" asked the boy, softly. Emily did a double take. "That's a Wendigo?" She asked in disbelief. The boy looked at her with amazement, "You never seen one before?" he asked. "I heard of them..but in all honesty, I didn't know that was an actual Wendigo!" Emily pointed out. Just then, a voice called out. "Ryker! Who are you talking to?" Another boy in the same uniform as the other guy's was standing there. He looked young, quite a fetching fellow. "Nobody!" Ryker called, he turned back to Emily fiercely. "Listen, you gotta get out of here now!" He demanded. "Why? I can help!" Emily persisted. "No, you--" Ryker started to say but the boy calls back: "Ryker, who is that?" "No one!" Ryker snapped. He turned to Emily with pleading eyes. "Please, get out now!" He begged. "I can help. I can hear that your thoughts are disoriented so--" Emily insisted, but Ryker stopped her out of shock. "What?" He gasped. "You--you--can read minds? You can hear my thoughts inside of your own head?" "Of course I can." Emily said, in a matter of fact tone. Ryker was shaken out of fear. The red haired boy appeared, "Ryker? Who is this?" He asked. Emily smiled and held out her hand, "Emily Grynte. It's a pleasure to meet you." she said. The boy was stunt, he shook her hand though. "I'm Minato Marden." He said. A girl with shoulder length hair appeared, wearing the same uniform as Ryker and Minato. "Boys, who is this girl?" She asked in a voice so soft but full of curiosity. "Wow, this your girlfriend?" Emily asked, to Ryker. Ryker glared at her, "She's not my girlfriend!" He declared. "Who are you? A witch?" The girl asked. "I am no witch, I am an ally and I came to help." Emily said. "No, she's--" Ryker started to say, but the girl stopped him. "Hold up, Ryker. This girl may able to help." She said, coming to Emily's rescue. "Sh'yeah, I killed a Wendigo." Emily admitted. Minato and the girl were shocked. "How?!" They asked. "I have an ability where I can move obstacles or other things with my mental conscious." Emily explained. Minato and the girl looked at each other, they turned to Ryker. "You know about this?" Minato asked. "Yeah, but she doesn't know what the military does here." Ryker said. "Let her help, Ryker. She can be of help to us." The girl said. Ryker was irked but he agreed. Emily smiled with delight, "Thank you." She said. The girl turned to her, she stretched out her hand. Although her stern face remained unchanged; she sounded nicer. "I'm Anita McDaniel." "I'm Emily--" Emily said but other Wendigos attacked and Emily, Ryker, Anita, and Minato prepared for battle. They ran from them while battling. “Who are you? Why the hell did you come here?” screeched Ryker. "Be careful, Ryker Smallberry. Don't do anything reckless!" Emily called out. "How did you know my name?" Jack asked with shock. Busted! Emily turned away, "Later!" She shouted. 

The Wendigos were chasing after them. Emily thought craftily as she reached over to Ryker, carried him into her arms and flied! Ryker was amazed by this, "What? You can fly?" He asked. Anita and Minato watched in amazement but they followed the gliding Emily. "YOU! CAN! FLY!" Ryker shouted, Emily smiled at him. Anita, and Minato were amazed as well: "Oh my..." Minato breathed. The two followed Emily and Ryker to wherever they are going. They managed to find a quiet, abandoned place and landed there. Emily let Ryker go safely from her grasp."So, whatcha think?" Emily asked with a smile. Ryker was speechless until he remembered what happened. "Arrrgghhh!!!!!!!" He shouted.  Ryker charged at her with a vorpal blade but it smashed into a wall. "You're right, you're right. I was trying to show you--" Emily said quickly as possible. "You....You!"  Ryker warned. "Right, sorry! Sorry!" Emily apologized."OK, OK, Take it easy." She claimed.  Ryker nodded, "Are you an angel? A demon?" He asked. “Not at all, I just…I don’t know what I am but I can tell you one thing. I am neither demon nor angel. I come in peace and came to know you—Ryker Smallberry. Please, let me talk to the authorities and explain what’s going on.” Emily explained. At once; Ryker lowered his weapon and nodded. “OK. I’ll trust you. But if you pull anything, I’ll kill you.” He said. Emily nods, obeying to his word but she fear of being hurt again. Anita and Minato came by, “Are you OK?” Anita asked. “I am now.” Ryker said. Anita, and Minato stared at Emily with curiosity. Wondering who she is. Emily, Ryker, Anita, and Minato walked back to the base of the camp where there were staring from the others. Ryker looks at Emily, "Well, ask them if you want to talk to the 'authorities'." He whispered. Emily was nervous around these people, she cleared her throat and spoke up, "Hello there...Is there someone I can talk to? Please?" Just then, the commanding leader Xavier Knell appears before her. "I may be useful for any assistance." He said to her. A few minutes later, Xavier & Captain Mason Desmoulin are seen talking to Emily who was seated and looking rather shy. "Let me see if I heard you right, you are trying to tell me you took on a Wendigo with just your mind. You didn't even touch it, am I correct?" asked Commander Knell. Captain Desmoulin scoffed, he didn't even smile though. Xavier gestured him to be quiet, Emily nodded. "Yes sir." She said. "That thing wanted to eat me...And I didn't, I didn't want to die so I had no choice but...Is that a problem?" Xavier shook his head, "No. Not at all. I think you did it to survive and I must say I am impressed." He admitted. "Can I say something?" said Mason, "I like to see some proof of your power." Emily looked at him with disbelief, "Right now?" She asked. Mason nodded, "Yes." He said. "Me and my big mouth." thought Emily. She stood up as she said slowly, "OK..." Emily straightened herself together, she rolled her shoulders back and then she closed her eyes as she whispered, "...Here goes...." Concentrated; she was about to summon this power but the distraction of the door bursting open made her lose concentration. A soldier's voice called out, "Commander Knell, I apolo--" Emily spun to him to glare however her telekinesis accidentally sent the man backwards, "Ahhhh!" He cried. "No!" Emily screeched, using her telekinesis to save the soldier, who was shocked over what just happened. "Do not tell anyone." begged Emily, under clenched teeth. The soldier was so frightened that he couldn't speak; he was speechless so Xavier came to him and said, "I would advise you not to speak of what you saw to anyone. I believe this 'witch' you would try to accuse will not be in this record." The soldier saluted, "Yes sir!" He said and off he went. It was silent for a moment before Mason spoke up, "I don't think this is good for her to use this power. She shouldn't use it." Emily looked at him with surprise, "What--?" She asked. But lucky for her, Commander Knell came to the rescue: "She needs practice, that's all. A little encouragement." He said. Siegfried glared at him, then he thought about it. "True...." Mason admitted, he was quiet for a moment before he spoke again, "...I have an idea." 

Not a moment too soon; Captain Desmoulin and Emily head out to the training area of the encampment. A lot of soldiers were talking a little, Emily saw Jack among the crowd. "Listen up!" Captain Desmoulin announced, silencing the chit-chat. The soldiers immediately were standing tall, and they looked stoned face. "Captain Desmoulin!" They respond. Mason turned to the soldiers and then he called out, "Emily Grynte, step forward please." Emily froze, she gesture towards herself. Mason nodded, "Come forth." He said. Nervous, she approached him but Mason seized her by her chin and found herself looking at Emily's intense eyes. "Let me see those eyes." He instructed. Emily looked at him in the eye. Waiting. After what it seemed like an eternity; Mason nodded, "Hmm...They look normal, display your powers OK?" He says, letting go of her. "Just, relax." Emily looked around, she was shaken. Emily never learned how to maintain her powers, it was really scary for her to display it publically. Captain Desmoulin realized Emily was not using her powers, so he walked over to her and stares down. Emily didn't meet his eyes but he spoke to her: "He who is impulsive can be murdered. As a result, though we have heard of foolish urgency in battle, inventive has never been seen associated with far-off hindrances. To accomplish centenary fights is not of the cardinal merit. Conquer one's enemy past combating is the climax of power. You can't show fear, you are stronger than this." Captain Desmoulin went behind her, speaking softly to her. "Allow your expedition be that of the tempest, your density that of the woods. In maraud and liberation is like the pyre, in stability like the peaks. Allow your strategies be crepuscular yet substantial as night, and when you run, drop like a drum fire." Then he spoke up, "Let's try it again." said Mason. He moved away, Emily took his words to heart and she concentrated. She concentrated and then she managed to telekinetically break apart all of the objects of the training. All the dummies but she manages to control her emotions. Once she was finished; there was applause from the others. She was embraced by someone from behind. She looked to see that it was her friends grinning and hugging her, even Ryker and his friends had a hand around Emily’s shoulder, he has a small but pleased smile on his face. For the first time, Emily could belong. She noticed that Captain Desmoulin was slowly applauding to her. His face remained unchanged however there was a hint of satisfactory. Later in the afternoon; Emily, Bonnie, Pua, Aricia, Zizi, and Sylvia looked around the Seven Nation Army camp’s soldiers in training. “Beautiful, isn’t it?” Aricia purred. “Wow, they sure are tough.” Remarked Sylvia. “I don’t know, they could be like us. I mean, around our ages.” Emily said. The other girls looked at her in surprise, “How did you know?” Rachel asked. “What are ya? Psychic?” Sylvia snapped. Emily was about to answer when she bumped into someone as she looked at the person however she gasps. That was the guy that stared at her before, it was Ryker Smallberry! Ryker recognized her from before: “It’s you…” He said softly, “I can’t believe you’re here, Emily.” Emily felt frozen in her tracks as she could feel her heartbeat. “What are you doing here?” Arlow demanded towards her. Emily panics at someone with a criminal-looking guy name Arlow Cleghill glances down at her; Ryker came beside Emily and defended her, “Leave her alone!” He said. “Stay out of this, Ryker!” Arlow commanded. The two were arguing amongst themselves until Emily rolled her eyes, she scoffed in annoyance. She pushed Ryker and Arlow away from each other, “Enough!” She exclaimed. Both guys were thrown in opposite directions, the others gasps in shock. Emily looked at the crowd, “Anyone else?” She asked. It was all quiet before Emily perceived with a smirk, “Didn’t think so.” And she walked off, annoyed as she muttered incoherently while shaking her head. However; the commander got staid and Xavier wants them to get serious so that they can train to be the best soldiers they can be to be able to fight off their enemies. And Mason chides the adolescence soldiers for acting weak; he enforces the hyper-strength expected in the army. He calls them out as they are pathetic and sad. But Xavier clarifies that they need to be independent, successful soldiers. The training contingent upon his ability to train his soldiers and defeat the monsters. Xavier taught them to be calm on the outside, but raging on the inside. "Once you find your inner piece, you are sure to win." He claims. He already knows that it will be hard to train these recruits but he will do so at all costs. This scares everyone and made them nervous: Kelly might be strong, but clearly she needs to do more running. Evidently Merom Southwell doesn’t hold his prospects for surviving very highly. Jacey wondered if she should lift more weights. Xavier’s leadership – all of the soldiers are scared to go to war because of his vigorous training. She is worried that Xavier will discover she was. And should, along with more exercise and learn how to swim. Xavier gave them the idea here is that the army needs to be able to move swiftly and need to be elusive as the far side gets as much sunlight, but is mysterious since nobody cannot see it--Just like in the quote: "Be swift as wind, as silent as forest, as fierce as fire, as unshakeable as mountain. If you do everything that I said, you will survive." Xavier told them. After seeing their weak performance as a soldier; Xavier begins to lose hope, by the end of the day his soldiers prove capable of the seemingly impossible tasks he initially demanded of them! The next day, there was a door that opened and eight feet scrambled in. "You're late, all of you!" The instructor shouted. Minato saluted as well as the others, "We apologized, sir. We have no excuse for being tardy." Minato replied. The instructor looks at them and then turns to the others, "Everyone; please meet our fresh meat rookies--Ryker, Anita, and Minato." He announced. 

Ryker is determined to take down who is responsible for all this. Emily wasn't watching him; she was watching him and Arlow. Arlow was listening to Ryker's rant until he spoke up. "Hey, not to burst your bubble but you think you can take on the monsters on your own? Those things may be pretty birds but they are deadlier than any wasp or hornet." Arlow remarked. Ryker glared at back, "I'm prepared, and besides I'm not scared of some monsters. But you sound like you're not scared." He said. "Hey, as much as I try to speak my mind, I just want you to know that you could be part of a fatal mirage just by saying it." He said. Ryker stood up abruptly, Emily looked up with fear. "Is that so? Wanna bet?" asked Ryker. "C'mon, don't fight." Minato scolded. Arlow stood up too, "Absolutely." He said. Just then, the loudspeakers blared as it startled everyone. The others were about to scatter out until Arlow stops him. "My bad for what I said, I didn't mean such things." He said. Ryker nodded, "Me too."  It didn't last long: There was a lot of competition with these guys. Ryker struggled in the training, Arlow smirks at him. "What's the matter, Newcomer? Not so tough isn't it?" He taunted. But Ryker pushed on, he managed to get stronger. Arlow was angry that Ryker went up higher in the ranks by all he was trained for. Arlow is stressed over Ryker trying to take the top. Arlow woke up, stunt at this. He was fazed, but suddenly he could hear drums so he got ready and hurried to the training. "Arlow! You're late!" shouted the instructor.  Arlow panted, "I apologize, sir! I have no excuse for being late." He said, saluting. The instructor nodded, "All right, get down to training with Ryker." He said, pointing over to Ryker who was waiting. "Sir, I'm sure he has better things to do..." complained Arlow. But the instructor barked louder, "Don't protest, do as I say!" Arlow sighed in defeat, "Yes sir!" He responded back loud and clearly. He hurried off to Ryker, "You look like crap, Arlow." remarked Ryker. "Keep your trap shut, Ryker!" Arlow said. The two of them spar against each other. Once it was over; Ryker looks at him and asked, "What's wrong with you?" "Don't give me that, like I need consent from a lethal asshole like you!" Arlow exclaimed. "What? Anita making you all weird again?" said Ryker, sarcastically. Arlow blushed, he hated it when someone teases him about his feelings for Anita, "No! Like I care what you think." He snapped. "Geez, you guys are acting like an angry marriage couple." A soldier shouted jokingly. Ryker and Arlow glared at him, "Dream on!" Ryker called out. "Get over it!" hollered Arlow. Before the fight, they taunted each other: "I’m grateful for your 'love'. Come on and we'll play this friendly match enthusiastically." said Ryker, smugly. "Yes, me too." Arlow accepted. "I’m going to make you look sharp, Arlow. I’m so bad at the game that your skill will shine like the brightest star in the darkest night." Ryker said. Arlow rolled his eyes, "You’re making fun of me." He said. "No, I swear I’m not." replied Ryker. They fought each other, Ryker strikes Arlow but he didn't seemed to be unfazed. "That was one hit." claimed Ryker. "Well, let’s go on." Ryker said to Arlow, motioning him. Their battle continued, none of the two can't seem to take a breath for one second. Heart pumping, nerves wrecking. Blood and wounds from each of their strikes. "Another hit. What do you say?" Ryker said smugly. "You got me, I admit it." Arlow said. "Get ready for the third hit, Arlow. You’re just playing around. Come on; give me your best shot. I think you’re treating me like a child." replied Ryker. "Oh, you think so? Bring it." Arlow called. Ryker charges at him and strike Arlow in his shoulder. He is shocked of himself as he backs away. Arlow clutched his shoulder and stands over Ryker, "I’m the one, Ryker.  No medicine in the world can cure you. Your pain has been poisoning your mind. Your tormentors are to blame. They got what they deserved. They mixed that poison themselves into the blood running through your veins. Please forgive me as I forgive you, Ryker. You’re not responsible for theirs, and I’m not responsible for any of this but I will be there for you." He said. Arlow fell into unconscious and Ryker helps him to the medics, silently declaring a truce to him. Though, Ryker and Arlow were suspicious of Emily’s presence. 

At some point; Ryker and Arlow were sparring with one another while Anita, Minato and the other soldiers watched. "What's wrong, Ryker?" Arlow remarked, "Tired yet?" "Not exactly!" Ryker panted. He continued to fight as the others watched. Then, there was this laugh and everyone turned to see Emily, coming down the steps in a jacket and jeans with black boots. "You call that a battle?" She remarked, "Please! That was boring! Maybe I can demonstrate for everyone on how much a fighter I am." Looking at her with disbelief; Ryker asked: "You want to fight both of us?" Emily smirked, "Yeah, that's right." She said. Arlow was calm but his tone was disbelief, "You can't be serious." He answered. Taking off her jacket; Emily revealed to be in a tank top, "I am dead serious." She said. Ryker and Arlow glance at one another with their eyes before looking back at Emily, "You don't stand a chance." Arlow warned. Emily cocked an eyebrow, she smiled in a mischievous way. "Wanna bet?" dared Emily, "Come at me." Ryker said, "You're gonna get hurt." Emily rolled her eyes, "Just do it." She said in an annoyed voice. Ryker went first, "Here I come." He said, letting out a growl however Emily dodged that, she used a kick to send him backwards. Ryker didn't flinched and tried again but Emily blocked that. Jacey smiled, Kelly's eyes were wide with impressiveness. Emily laughs, "You trust your eyes and strength too much, Ryker, you're not a chameleon you know. And neither you're a wrestler. Can't see everywhere at once." She said. But she didn't know, Arlow grabbed her from behind, Emily managed to get away but Arlow punched her. "Ohhh--!" Kelly gasped, covering her mouth with both hands. Ryker smirked. Emily glanced over at Arlow with a grin, "Bad move." She remarked. She took down Ryker and Arlow one by one, but they still weren't going to back-down. Emily was excited, "Come on boys, I like the fitness program here--It's a good workout." remarked Emily. Ryker tried to attack however Emily was quicker, much faster! She was seized by her wrists by Ryker, but she clapped her hands together and took them down before he hit him baseball bat style. Ryker was stunt by that, "How is she doing that?" He asked. Emily shuffled, "You boys are tense, I'm calm. Fluid. You gotta be fluid--like water." She explained. Just then, Emily punches Arlow hard and takes down Ryker with a round house kick. Everyone seemed impressed including the calm Commander Knell and the stern yet mysterious Captain Desmoulin. Bonnie grinned, Pua squealed, and Aricia let out a whoop in happiness. Zizi whistled while Sylvia rolled her eyes but smiled. Emily sighed; she wiped her sweaty forehead from the training. She smiles a little too proud but was confident in herself. Ryker looked at her with a speechless glance, Arlow grunted in disbelief. Emily then said, “You know you two are becoming quite interesting. Hope we can do this again someday.” And then, she sashayed away! “Well, nice playin’ with ya.” She called over her shoulder. 

Emily was walking away but she felt everyone was watching her! However, she was sitting on a large rock and enjoying the sights when she was startled to hear a noise. “'Ey, Em.”A voice called out. Emily saw Menom, Jacey, and Kelly as she greets them nervously: “Oh, hi, guys. I didn't know you were here. I was just washing, so now I'm clean, and I'm gonna go. Bye-bye!” She said quickly as she is about to leave when Jacey cried out: “Come back here! I knew we were jerks to you before, so, let's start over. Hi, I'm Jacey.” She said. Kelly introduced herself, “And I'm Kelly.” Emily waved at her, “Hello, Kelly.” Then, Menom bellows: “And I am Menom, king of the world!” He then is mildly sneering, “And there's nuttin' you can do about it.” Jacey said playfully, “Oh, yeah? Well, I think Em and I can take you.” Emily shakes her head, “Oh no. I really don't want to take him anywhere.” She said. Jacey looked at her, “Em, we have to fight.” She claimed. Emily laughed, “No, we don't. We could just... close our eyes... and – play tag...” She said teasingly. Jacey links her arms, “Come on, don't be such a girl... Ouch! Why you--C'MERE!” She cried, and chased after Menom as well as Kelly did too. Those two girls and Tybalt scramble onto the rock, while Emily sneaks away. As she took a stroll; Xavier’s words echoed in her head. Like flowers that are carelessly stepped on, the names of the soldiers that have been sent out to fight the Wendigos are often unknown. They simply become a statistic. Humanity is on its last legs and in dire need of some divine intervention. Like a bird that is unable to take flight without some assistance, mankind needs something to lift their spirits. If they just sit around wishing for something good to happen, there will be no effect. Someone has to do something about the situation that she's in, otherwise nothing will change. If someone has the motivation to fight, they have the power to make a change. People who laugh at others who move forward despite all the trials and tribulations; they are living inside the walls due to fear are like cattle. They’re livestock, sitting there waiting for the next Wendigo attack. They don’t fight back. These people are okay with that. They’re just complacent. These people think that they’re prospering inside the walls, protected by them. This is a false sense of security. They just don’t want to have to fight back, so they rely on the thought that they’re safe and prospering as a society. At least give the people the same respect Emily gives to dying animals. Let them have the freedom to fight back. She will not force them to accept starvation. The horror and humiliation of the human race being trapped within the walls while the monsters hunt outside around the rest of the world is what motivates Emily to fight. Her desires freedom. That’s why she is going to take down the monsters of Wendigos! Her determination is burning with an overflowing urge to kill, that will pierce the darkness of the monsters' oppression. Consumed with surging bloodlust; Emily has the anger of not being free. Easily taken as their weapons and their blades strike the weak spot of the monster, even into the late hours of the night. For a hunter has no need for rest when the prey is upon them. "If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of monsters." She’s very nervous or excited that she can feel her fast paced heart. Emily and Ryker goes deeper into their friendship, she becomes a stronger and better person than she was before she met him. She doesn’t just complete him; she built him from the ground up, made him who he is. Emily is sick of rotating around day after day and wants her soul to fly free–even if that involves becoming broken. Upon meeting Ryker; Emily is afraid of changing her ways, so she’s frozen, unable to do anything! She wants him to let her free, anything that traps a person, and from which they’d like to escape. She is calling for Ryker or his friends to save her from the place where the world stays the same, and back into a changed world. The clockwork is all she knows as she has nothing to make her feel alive. If she could speak to them then maybe she would feel livelier. She wants her prison to not only be shattered, but erased, so she can forget about it as she reconnects with the world. Emily is now reconsidering her actions. On one hand, she wants freedom. 

On the other, she wants to stay safe. She might be unhappy inside the glass, but at least she knows she’ll be okay. If she escapes, she might die outside. Emily slips out of her doubt. She doesn’t want to remain spinning, so she breaks the cycle. A voice in her mind asks her, "Do you feel like you aren’t enough on your own to accomplish anything? Don't be afraid to take risks, sometimes in life you don’t feel great. You lack confidence and self esteem. Quit your inner shyness and say what has to be said, and do what has to be done. You’re always more than you think. Get up and make a scene, just be big and live life! You learn a build upon failures to grow as a person." Emily made dumb mistakes that anyone she knows wouldn’t have done, she's sick of living life without the feeling of a deeper purpose. Tired of everyone telling her that she is nothing and shouldn't be able to live. Her friends and allies brings her out of the depth of the hallows. She’s not the person that she was weak and scared. They are the ones that remind her of the woman she is without her rage inducing powers. They care for her so much that they try to appease the situation by apologizing, but she’s the one that’s been doing wrong. It’s her fault for all this; all she can give them is a remorseful heart. Emily has made a bad mistake of what she done she should stick by living what people have told her for she is on the right track. Does the blood made her made her feel better? Even after what they have been through together, she still has the reason to protect the others. She promises to help them, and still even after everything she still does. He is blaming her self– Like when she was complaining that it was her own fault that she broke her own heart – So she understands of her own feelings. Emily is trying to start over, but with her vampire father still in her life, she cannot. He reminds her of something that he believes she is, instead of the woman that she wants to be! Her father was showing Emily what she is like to other people, and reforming her way of talking to people. With all of the mistakes she has made, Emily can’t be considered a role model amongst others. Emily has no excuses for her mistakes which is why she couldn’t cut it. She feels like there is no support from friends in her time of need. Emily wants somebody to help and go through a troubling time in her life. People will say that the state she’s in now will blow over shortly, but to her it’s more than that. She’s allowed to ask for help, she could use a bit of assistance. Its fine for her to want help because everyone is all humans––They make mistakes and need support. 

No matter what mistakes people do, Emily got to remember that all humanity are only humans and are not perfect. When crying in a state of anxiety, most people feel like they’re unable to breathe properly. It becomes heavier and in turn harder to breathe. While taking a walk in the forest, Emily saw Ryker training but then Emily watched in horror as Ryker turned into a Wendigo hybrid creature, “Oh dear Lord! He’s a Wendigo?” She thought. Wendigo Ryker begin to do all sorts of combat moves in order to take down these savage, killer monsters. Emily hide behind a tree, watching him works hard at his skills. Once Ryker was done, he changed back to normal but he fell unconscious. This is it, this was her chance to see inside his head and she rushed over there. Emily kneel down at the unconscious Ryker, she placed her hands on the side of his face and begins to read his mind: In a flash; she saw it. His memories. More clear though. She saw a memory of a young Ryker living in a happy life but he was a fearsome person when it came to his anger. Ryker was not an idiot, he was simply emotional. The memories changed--It was an unconscious dream of darkness and blood flowing...Wait? Whose blood is that? There were monsters with claws and baring their teeth. Someone called out a name, "Ryker...Ryker!" The boy, Ryker, woke up from sleep with a start. He panted and looked around, his foster sister Anita was calling his name. She was dressed in uniform. "W-what?" Ryker asked. "Come on, we're gonna be late." Anita urged. At once, Ryker threw the covers to reveal he was in his pajamas. "Sorry, coming!" He called. As Anita left the room; Ryker got ready. He got his uniform on and looked out the window. The beautiful sky, would it be like this forever? He wasn't sure about that. "Ryker! Anita is waiting!" It was his mother's voice. "Coming Mom." He called. And left his room with his messenger bag. It was the first year of middle school, Ryler and his friends were attending there. They were excited about the next field trip until one day, it happened. Jack was paying attention but he heard a scratching sound. “What the heck was that?” He wondered. He turned and was shocked to see a Wendigo! Ryker got up, when his teacher asked but saw the creature too. The Wendigo broke in and wreck the classroom. The only ones that survived luckily were Ryker, Anita, and Minato. They each hurried back to their homes; Ryker enters his house but is stunt to find his mother struggling against a Wendigo. She looks to see her son, “Everything’s going to be OK. Just don’t look.” 

“Mom!” Jack cried but his mother shake her head, “Sweetheart. Just go, please!” She said. Tears welled in his eyes, “No….No, NO, NOOO! I’m not leaving you! Just forget it!” Ryker shouted. “RYKER! GO, RUN!” screamed his mother. The Wendgio bite into Ryker's mother, who let out a harsh gasp. Ryker was motionless, frozen; his mother was lifeless now as she bled to death. Ryker was pulled away by Anita, who dragged him off. She and he reunite with Minato and other survivors from the school. Losing his mother to a Wendigo was the most unsettling mental wound, and ever since that day; he vowed to wipe out as many Wendigos as possible. On one day, Ryker and Minato were hiking but they all lost their way. Then, it begin to rain and pour hard until the boys found a cabin where they meet a woman by the name of Gitana. She gave them shelter and something to drink but after the boys consumed the drinks, they passed out. They woke up to meet some creepy guy and Gitana turned out to be this creepy guy’s assistant as she and the man had them both in there. There was another girl who tried to escape and was about two years older than Ryker and Minato. It was their friend, Anita McDaniels as she tries to break free from the strange guy and Gitana but she was knocked out again. One by one, the three of them suffered horrible tortured by these two despicable monsters! There was a slap across Ryker’s face as he was bound and gagged sound with a woman screaming “Do you understand me?” and Ryker's mouth was gagged but his thoughts were saying, “Shit!” He was tied up as he is scared to move because she hurts him. Gitana and her crazy boss is addicted to the pain they feel during the torture; it gets them off. If they are putting him through pain, they might as well just make him bleed. The tighter the cuffs are, the more pleasure Gitana gets. They are addicted to the torture. He will do anything to be free. He doesn’t want to have to beg because he can’t live function without a chance of light! Gitana gives her boss life source and booze. He asks her not to make him beg for the things he gets from her, taking pleasure in feeling pain is not perceived as a normal human attitude. Gitana is a mean girl in her professional work and curbs stomped poor Ryker. Anita is pretty messed up by all the things she’s been through. She’s making sure he’s still in a submissive position to her. Many times, people that are stuck in abusive relationships because they believe the only alternative are being alone. Being alone in the world is much worse than being in the relationship. Anita is questioning the guy's motives; yet at the same time dealing with her fears by telling herself to shut up and say she loves him. Anita sits and hopes that someone will help, but no one even knows what’s going on. She is telling herself that Gitana and her boss will take good care of her, despite the abuse she has to endure. It was a high cost with a low reward! Minato has become a dominated slave is basically the victim of Gitana and her boss. They often engage in a discipline type role by beating him, which often includes whips, chains and handcuffs. Gitana and her boss want to be beat Minato senselessly by this person. Gitana will often insult Minato by calling him very bad words. In addition to whips and chains, she and the strange man will use any kind of weapon, including a staple gun. All three were bound, gagged, and tortured however they all one thing: Liberation. 

Ryker is sick of rotating around day after day and want his soul to fly free–even if that involves becoming broken. He’s afraid of changing his ways, so he’s frozen, unable to do anything. Ryker wants to escape his prison, the walls is all he knows as he has nothing to make his feel alive. If he could speak to them then maybe he would feel more lively. He wants his prison to not only be shattered, but erased, so he can forget about it as he reconnects with the world. Ryker takes the bridge to reconsider his actions. On one hand, he wants freedom. On the other, he wants to stay safe. He might be unhappy inside the glass, but at least he knows he’ll be okay. If he escapes, he might die outside. With this torture he was in, one might not want to give up their better body, and continue being miserable. In the end, he slips out of his doubt. He doesn’t want to remain spinning, so he breaks the cycle. For her, Anita feels like there is no support from family or friends in her time of need. Anita wants somebody to help and go through a troubling time in her life. People will say that the state she’s in now will blow over shortly, but to her it’s more than that. She’s allowed to ask for help, she wish she needed some help. Its fine for her to want help because everyone is humans––they all make mistakes and need support. No matter what mistakes people do they got to remember that they are only humans and are not perfect. When she was crying or in a state of anxiety, Anita feels like she's unable to breathe properly. It becomes heavier and in turn harder to breathe. In Minato’s life; he made dumb mistakes a no wise man would've done and he wished made a much better person! Minato is sick of living life without the feeling of a deeper purpose, Tired of everyone telling him that he is nothing so why should he live. It's because of Ryker who brings him out of the depth of the hallows. He’s not the weakling that he spiraled into for a while. He’s the reminder of the man he is without weakness. Minato is the one that’s been doing wrong, it’s his fault that in their friendship, all he can give he believes he is an enjoyment of causing him pain. He acknowledges that it is partly his fault for giving his heart to someone like her. He is trying to start over, but with this pain still in his life, he cannot. It reminds him of something that Ryker believes he is, instead of the man that he wants to be. Then after many days; Ryker, Anita, and Minato were rescued! “Ryker...I don't want to hurt you, I just want to understand you. To feel better, to feel like I'm not the only one.” Emily thought, talking to him in his thoughts. Suddenly, she felt a burst of pain through her. "What's happening? I feel--Augh! It hurts!" She said, gasping. Ryker regained consciousness, he was shocked to see what was happening. "Oh no!" He thought. Emily begin to change into a Wendigo, she was unaware of what is going on but for the first time, she wanted to fight. She saw other Wendigos and she went after them fiercely. She lunged at them as she rescues lives like the other soldiers and kills them. As soon as she is done; the soldiers stared at her in fear. Wendigo Emily approached them and placed her claw-hand on Minato’s shoulder. A few moments later; he was in astonishment. “Emily…Grynte? Is that you?” asked Minato. Emily transformed back to normal. She gasps as she fell unconscious to the ground. "Did Emily just--?" asked Menom. "How did she do that?" Jacey inquired. Commander Knell glanced at her body, his face was calm and relax but he looked concern at this mysterious girl. "Emily Grynte, Who are you? What are you?" He thought. In this unconsciousness; Emily begins to have vivid nightmares of a young girl losing her parents to the Wendigos until Ryker saved her. The girl is Anita, which she is touched by his heroic efforts. The next memory shows of Ryker and Anita as kids, rescuing a fainted-hearted, intelligent boy who was in shambles of fear from bullies. This boy was Minato. Breaking free from her reverie; Emily is in trouble as she encounters monsters but is saved by Ryker and Arlow. It wasn’t until Ryker looked up and his eyes widened with terror. "LOOK OUT, EMILY!" He cried. Too late, she is being held hostage by a Wendigo. The Wendigo looked over and gouged her heart out. "Nooo!!!!!!" cried Ryker and Arlow. The groups of Wendigos were cackling with glee but they wouldn't laugh for long. 

Emily rise up, her eyes were hollow and black with red pupils. She had blood coming from the whole in her chest. Her appearance was different: There were her hair became red like mahogany, her clothes matched her hair and her face was vein-like cascading on the sides of her face. The voice in her mind that says: “How fine you look when dressed in rage. Your enemies are fortunate that your condition is not permanent.” Ryker couldn't believe this; she was rising as some sort of undead being who was slaughtering the creatures in order to get her heart back. And she did kill them all, she butchered them. She beheaded them, and then she made their limbs go numb so she can split them apart in a grisly way. Ryker and Arlow were shocked by this. They couldn't believe that someone like her would such things. Finally, Emily faced the lead monster, which it was holding her heart so she puts up a pretty good fight. She broke his legs and the heart went up, Emily caught it in her hand and placed it back in her chest. The hole in her chest closed up and she turned back to normal. Ryker and Arlow could only stare at her in amazement. Who was this girl? Whoever she was, she was nothing out of the ordinary. Emily was visited by Commander Knell about the incident with Ryker and Arlow, he learnt of Emily’s ability to stay intact without her beating heart. “How did you do that?” asked the commander. “Well, this isn’t the first time that happened.” Emily admitted. Knell looked at her in shock, “You mean this has happened before?” He asked. Emily looked nervous and scared for what might happen, “Uh, well…Something just comes over me sometimes...I'm sorry, sir.” She answered. But the commander said something that made Emily surprised, “What? No need to be sorry. Your talent is a gift, Miss Grynte. Have you ever considered this power to be used this for good use?” 

Emily glanced at him in astonishment, “Good use?” She queried. “I shall take you in myself, and take other students who have powers like you.” Knell said. But he tells her that the council wishes to speak to her in the court. They are to test her and warn her to be careful with their testimonies. Afterwards; Emily was taken to court where she was brought there and she felt eyes upon her. The prosecutor addresses the Judge as 'Your Honor', the lawyer proclaiming to speak on behalf of the crown and claims Emily has govern the lives of everyday citizens are little more than fops and closed-minded fools. The lawyer also suggests that he and the judge as well as the jury are entirely products of decay, birthed, as it were, from Emily. And so having been created out of this delirious isolation, it is only appropriate that the highest authority figure is addressed as Emily as the all-encompassing symbol of decay for a girl. Emily managed to calm down but deep down she wanted to snap at any second. One witness commented on her: "It is only natural that the charges leveled against Miss Grynte – that she has experienced feelings of an almost human nature – would be considered a high crime tantamount to treason. In this sense, both the lawyer and judge are like outgrowths of the same personal decay that spawned Emily Grynte. Her true self, only springing to action when their very existence is threatened by the sudden epiphany of self-accountability." Another witness said the testimony: "We are not being able to mold and control her as a girl may find sympathy with the listener is the very opposite, reminding us of her former idealism and individuality, of her childhood unwillingness to conform to the strictures of an unjust system." Emily could feel her blood boiling as she glance at the others where her friends and Marvin are there. She also could see that Ryker, Anita, and Minato were there; Emily felt shameful, she continue to hear onlookers talking more about her as if they were victimized her. "She has a personal betrayal than the conceited complaints of the others amongst here. If I were a good man I’d talk with you more often than I do." A third witness remarked. The fourth said, "She has previously broken any homes up lately; can we have five minutes alone with her to exact retribution?" The fifth said, "You are to blame for the damage done to you because of your bloodied affairs with your father." And the sixth claimed, "It is impossible for you to mature and become someone of your own." Emily try to speak up but again she is told to be quiet! “If you ignore me you’ll be sorry.” Warned Emily. “Lady Grynte, we advised you to shut your mouth!!!” The judge exclaimed. That’s when Emily lost her temper, “You better listen to what I say whether you people like it or not!” She exclaimed. Emily has her powers out of control as objects fell over and break while windows break too. Everyone in the court room is trembling, they muttered amongst themselves. Ryker, Anita, and Minato managed to stay calm but they were in shock as well as Marvin and the girls. “You people…You and your accusations…You dare to judge others as well as me by my appearance….How could you, I AM NOT A DISGRACE NOR SHOULD I BE TREATED LIKE I’M NOT PRESENT!!! MY FATHER CAUSE ME AND MY MOTHER GREAT PAIN AND DISTRESS!!!! I’M TRYING TO MAKE GOOD!!!” She exclaimed, “I AM EMILY GRYNTE—I AM AN AGENT OF DREAM STATE AGENCY!!! I AM MEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Her rage cause everyone to feat her when Mason stopped her and everyone were scared by the sight. Even the witnesses that spoke against her were filled with culpability and were shaken in their boots. So the judge decides to spar her! Emily was let go as she calms down, she stumbled towards Ryker & the others before she passed out from emotional fatigue. Emily is so tired of this everyday routine. It’s the same thing day in and day out. Even though it was cool at first, it’s just not fun to her anymore and she’s ready for something new. She feels like everybody feels this way on the inside, but nobody ever knows how to break the cycle or their not brave enough to leave their comfort zone. 

Emily knows that even though breaking out from her comfort zone and leaving the past behind can be a very hard thing, that it’s what’s best for her because it’s going to help her grow. She feels super afraid because she doesn’t know what’s going to happen to her life now that she’s let go of her past. After realizing she needs to change her life and let go of some people, she’s now ready to take on the challenge even though she knows adjusting to the change will be hard. Because she took a gamble at life and left everything behind, she doesn’t quite know if her life is going to change for the better or for the worst. All she knows is that if she would have just stuck it out, she wouldn’t have to find out what the possible outcome may be. She knows that even though staying in her comfort zone sounds tempting and a lot easier, that she’d rather give up all she has and try something new despite the fact that she’d have to sacrifice a lot. In the morning; Emily was on a horse and she looked out at the forest path and looked back to see Commander Knell and the others. "You want me to gallop down this path? Are you sure?" asked Emily. "Just a warm up, just to see how much you improve on your skills." assured Commander Knell. Emily seemed anxious about this task, "I don't know if I'm up for this." She commented. Captain Desmoulin came besides her, putting a hand on her shoulder, "You can do it, and you’re the best we got." He said. "Really?" asked Emily. She was trembling and then she brightens up, "OK. I'll do it!" She exclaimed. Emily took the reins and prepared herself. She closed her eyes for a moment but then opens them instantly. Pulling on the reins; Emily cried, "HI-YAH!" And she galloped down the path while the others ride behind her but Emily was much faster. She looked back to see they were still following her. She felt faint fear but mostly she felt excitement running through her body. Emily had never felt such adrenaline through her; she tilted her head back and spread her arms out. Emily was snapped back to reality by the sound of the horse neighing, it brought her back to earth and she managed to stop the horse. She panted and panted but she laid her head down on the back of the horse however she sat up when the others approached. Commander Knell smiled triumphantly, Captain Desmoulin nodded. The others were impressed with this girl's ability. Emily was so excited that she fist pumps the air and cheered, "Woo hoo!" Meanwhile; Ryker, Anita, and Minato begin to experience hallucinations where they came across a girl who was leading them into a dark realm with riddles all around: The first riddle the three friends had to solve was: "What walks on four legs in the morning, two legs in the afternoon, three legs in the evening, and no legs at night?" Ryker, Anita, and Minato didn't know the answer as they search for it. But they come across the mysterious girl where she explains that her 'Mother' requests that the three friends should surrender. Ryker refuses neither did his friends. But then Minato found the answer to the riddle--Sphinx. Earlier before; Ryker, Anita, and Minato were taking a walk one day when Ryker begins to wince at a throbbing headache, which was cause by the vision of a girl. He couldn't see the girl clearly in his head. But he saw a glimpse of the vision of her flowing dark hair, the curve of her lip, and her pink parasol. The throbbing pain stopped when the three friends saw a pretty girl their age was skipping with a pink parasol and smiling heartrendingly at them. She begins to sing, "Will you won't you, will you, won't you, will you join the dance? Will you won't you, will you, won't you, won't you join the dance? Will you, won't you, will you, won't you, will you join the dance? Will you won't you, will you, won't you, won't you join the dance?" 

Just then, the trio loses conscious. Anita wakes up as she was scared to see small animals lying dead on the ground bleeding. Anita had a shocked and saddened look on her face however she kept moving as she begins to walk a little more with that worried look. As Anita kept moving, there were more dead animals as Anita moved past them looking more and more worried. She was shocked to see how they all died in rather gruesome ways; a puppy was hanged on a tree with what appeared to be his viscera hanging out, a kitten had all four of his limbs torn off and a bunny had his eyes gouged out and his throat slit. Anita was running up a hill and then she stopped, there was a man in black with his back against Anita with his eyes closed. Anita looked happy to see a silhouetted figure but then her smile faltered, obviously noticing that the wasn't responding to her, if not acting as if he was totally oblivious of Anita's presence. Anita walked closely toward the man. In a split second, Anita saw the girl facing towards her. She laughed as she said, "Hello. Do you want to play with me?" Anita ran, looking scared out of her wits. Suddenly there was a creepy laugh; the girl was seeing flashes of the man popping everywhere, again with those black and red eyes. The girl behind Anita slowly gaining up on her running! This time she had the most deranged looking grin on her face, she looked as though she was enjoying the torment she was giving poor Anita as she gained up on her. Anita tripped and laid there and started crying. But then the man appeared right in front of her and the girl looked up in horror. Just in a split second the man lunged at the girl who let out a loud screeching. "You're too slow, want to try again?" said the girl. She saw a dark reddish cloudy sky. There was Minato who looked afraid just like the girl did, though not as much, more rather he looked a little unnerved. Then there was that maddening laugh came again. Minato saw several bloodstains on the ground as he looked nauseated walking down this blood-stained road, still he kept going. As Minato ran, the girl appeared right in front of him, "Found you!" She said. Minato tried to fight the girl, but the girl vanished in black smoke. Then the girl appeared behind the boy again and then the boy punches again, and the girl vanished again laughing. Minato was panicking even more, he then fell to his knees and clutched his head sobbing. The girl lunged at Minato who let out a distorted screeching and a terrified Jack was scared that she begins to hallucinate and saw Minato and Anita pleading: "Help us...Run away, before she gets you too..." Their cries died out as she heard the girl's laugh, "You're a lot fun to play with sweetheart, just like they did, though they didn't last long. It won't be long now until you join him and all my other friends. You can't run, girl. You're in my world now. Just like the others." Then there was Ryker but he looked eccentric as it seems however he was walking in a hallway. The floor was shiny and checkered, the walls were a dark grayish purple with animated candlelight’s and a few dark bloodstains here and there, and there was a dark red curtain hanging above on the top part of the room. 

Then, the red curtain sways very slowly. Ryker didn't look entirely nervous like his friends did, but he did have a suspicious look on his face as if he was just a bit paranoid. He went down a long flight of stairs leading downward, the boy seemed unsure of himself, though he pressed onward. Down the steps, Ryker noticed that the walls have gotten darker and more reddish; the red torches are now an eerie blue. The walls turned more dark red and the torches were a black flame now. Suddenly, the girl in black popped right in front of Ryker. Ryker was scared as she looked away as she could hear someone whisper, "Try to keep this interesting for me, Ryker." Ryker turned around to see where the voice came from and what he saw made him scream. Sitting in a chair, staring right at her was the girl. The three friends wake up scared. But they weren’t the only ones: Emily, Bonnie, and Lily were suffering from nightmares as well. In her dream; Emily was subjected to torture in variety methods such as scalding baths and cutting. She was anguished even more by a monstrous gang took turns as they hurt Emily with throwing objects, splash at her with animal blood and laughing at her suffering! Emily begged and pleaded for help but nobody can help her. Just then; the girl took one of the thrown objects—a shard of glass as he pierced the side of one of the gang member’s head. Panic aroused while the gang tired to fight back but the girl punctured a pair of knives as he punctured both sides of a beanie hat guy’s skull. The girl sliced at a fat guy’s throat as blood sprayed all over the place. As he try to put his hands and into his forehead. It was then a skimpy outfit-wearing lady try to attack from behind until the girl whirled around and gouged out one of her eyes, it was so violent that risqué woman died of blood loss. The leader was the last one left he tries to leave out of fear but the unhinged girl gripped him tight and dragged him to the propelling platform as she tortured him. Within her nightmare; Bonnie was at a shady bar where she encountered a young man, which is where he drugged her and brought her back to the hotel where the terror had begun. However, someone was hell bending on finding the tormentor and this entity did as she tortured him to death. This man that hurt Bonnie got what he deserved. Contained by her bad dream; there was a teen boy was killed while drunk driving and he found himself in Heaven but he was rejected because he rejected the Heavenly King and was in this cell. While in that cell; He thought about his friend who is a Christian but he never told his best friend about the Lord. Suddenly, the demons came and dragged the guy into the fiery abyss; they toss him into the Lake of Fire as the teen screams in terror, "Why? Why didn't you tell me about God?" He sent a letter to his best friend about Hell and suffered so much and thought about his best friend; burning in the eternal torment. 

Lily becomes fearful, distraught, the innocence being tortured by the wicked so they turned to the devil for help and he agrees to help, for he will take their tormentors to Hell but after that's done, the innocence must go to Hell too after they die. The devil says that they will never know the joys of Heaven; they will enter a world full of pain and agony. Then, there were terrifying images of people being in Hell of fire, blood, pain, and demons. A man who has been in purgatory of a near death experience but an angel of purgatory allowed him to be revived on Earth. So the man returned back to life on earth but realize that a tragedy was about to occur; he tried to stop it while begging to God to not let anyone die. However a revelation came over him; God wasn't listening. The tragedy occurred everyone was killed; even that man! The man was tricked b the angel of purgatory and was sent to Hell, where the Devil welcome him to the eternal torment and laughed at the man's pain as his soul was burning forever! Lily woke up gasping and screaming, she was scared out of her wits but was calmed down as she felt God’s presence comforted her. In the next day; Emily, Ryker, Anita, Minato, Arlow, Menom, Jacey, Mason, Kelly, and Commander Knell were patrolling and slaying Wendigos, left and right--the whole battlefield was crazy! "There's too many of them, sir!" Emily called. "Keep pushing a little more, only three percent remain." Commander Knell instructed. "Roger that, we're almost there!" hollered Minato. He turned to Emily and said, "Hang in there, Em. We're almost there." Emily nodded, she can't give up now--fighting to survive, push and push. No matter what, never surrender. Run, fight, for the sake of survival here and now! Never stopping, panting out of breath but she did not ceased until the Wendigos are all slaughtered. Once it was over, victory came about for the Seven Nation Army, the name of Commander Knell's military unit. Emily was out of breath as the others, she was tired as she almost passed out but Jack caught her along with Anita and Minato, they escorted her back to the base of Seven Nation Army. Commander Knell praised everyone for their hard work today. In the meantime at night; Arlow and Menom looked up at the dark sky with diamond like stars twinkling about up there. "Man, look at the stars. I wonder how many there are." said Arlow. "Who knows." guessed Arlow with a shrug, "A million, maybe a billion." "Wow, that's amazing." replied Menom. But they were both tired as they decided to get some rest but they stop in their tracks to hear singing. It sounded like, "Shatter....Shatter." repeated over and over again. Arlow and Menom were dizzy by the singing as they decide to get some sleep in their cabins tonight. While everyone slept; the person that was singing, it was a girl with dark brown hair and wearing white. It was a strapless, flowing dress and wears no shoes on her feet. She looks over at Ryker who slept so peacefully. She walked over and wrapped her arms around him. Caressing his hair as she whispered, "So, the beast sleeps tonight. In the army, this mighty army....Is where these warriors have traits of swift, force, strength, and mysteriousness about themselves." The girl watched as Ryker's chest rise slowly up and down as he slept. "He may sleep like a human but I know he has a burning red fury within that body of his." rasped the girl softly. Then, she leaves Jack for a moment to look over at Emily and said, "And you...Once I destroy you....Once you are out of the picture, Ryker is mine! All mine; he won't be a pet of you anymore." The girl muttered quietly. But she hits the sides of her temples as she said in a soft groan, "Urrrgggh!" She calms down by telling herself in a soothing voice, "OK, OK. I'm fine, I'm all right." The girl left as she turned out to be a Wendigo just like Ryker but there's something more unstable in the head about her. A vengeful girl with desire of revenge. Hatred. All in her system. 

The Seven Nation Army had a field day at the moment: There was a girl who was a Wendigo type like Ryker. She wore a one shoulder dress made out mangled flesh and blood at elbow length while blood seeping among her bare feet. Her irises were red of an inflamed rage and her hair was white as snow as well as her skin complexion. She used an ability of bloody, wraithlike disembodied hands to take out the other Wendigos without remorse. She is chased by Ryker, Anita, Minato, Arlow, and Captain Desmoulin as they sprung a trap on her; kidnapping Wendigo Girl. Later, the Wendigo Girl's wrists were bound over her head as the Seven Nation Army kept watch over her. Mason glanced down at her, "Well hello Monster Girl. Anybody there? I know you can hear my voice. Tell us who you are and maybe we can spare you mercy--If you are willing to cooperate." He said. Wendigo Girl glared back at him but didn't reply. Siegfried looked over at the girl, she was so innocent with blood splattered among her. Red and white contrast with one another, red for impurity and white for vestal, this girl was among rage and pure at the same time. She looked so angry and also hiding her emotions so much. Captain Desmoulin was misunderstood over the purpose about pawing the other soldiers' minds as well as fondling with their emotions. "Why the hell would she do that? What was the meaning into that?" wondered Mason. The Wendigo Girl turned away from him but Mason seized her jaw, squeezed her cheeks so hard and forced her to look at him. "Don't you dare look away from me, look at me right in the eyes and tell us who you are." demanded Siegfried, "You think any of us don't know who are. By the time their done with you, I can't wait to see you burn like a witch tied to a stake. Now, I'm going to ask you this one more time--Who. Are. You?" Finally after what seems like forever; The Wendigo Girl was quiet and responded in a creepy yet ethereal voice so inhuman and so beautiful that it was chilling too. "I can't explain myself, Captain. You see, I'm not myself. But who cares for you anyway, you are nothing but a deck of cards." Then she opened her mouth as it looked unhinged and let out a diabolic cry from her maw and Wendigos came as they free the creature lady while trying to ambush the Seven Nation Army, who overpower them. Once she managed to get away; the girl turned back to normal as it turns out she can absorb powers of the Wendigos for awhile. The girl got back and now she was alone in a bed chamber as she sang, “My Only Hope--He gathered me in her arms and embraced, telling me that love is the medicine to broken people....La-la, love is all I need." She outstretches her palm to the ceiling and said, "My friends--I love you and you are my only hope..." The girl's eyes were very bloodshot. Tears dried from weeping and she looked stress. "I feel trapped.....From my past." 

She curled up in a ball and moaned in agony, "Uuuuoooohhhhhhh! My mind is shattered, I'm a living dead girl that had tripped into a strange land, is this a dream or am I losing it?" Persephone couldn't stand this anguish at all. However, thinking of the people in her past as she panicked like crazy, "What's going on? I'M LOSING MYSELF!!!!" She thought. Thoughts of Ryker, his Wendigo form, and his past made her curled up deeper into herself, moaning and her hands became a rosy color. Throbbing herself. "Can't lose control, must not reveal. Mask it--Don't let them see within!" She chanted softly.
